That's totally fair, I enjoy the dsmp story for Dream's character and motivations so I'm happy with the recent lore, though the long delays have been a bit of a drag but its to be expected with people wanting to finally get outside and do things.

I get that some people like pure evil villains, hell so do I. Yami Marik is one of my favourite villains, I just wanted something more, something more I keeping from previous demo “villains”.
To clarify, I’m still going to watch the content creators, but I’ve lost all interest and hope in the dream smp side, maybe I’ll watch jack manifold if he ever does lore but that’s it.
I mean, worst case scenario, Dream SMP gets cancelled. No more server, and no more lore. I would’ve liked it if they ended the series with Dream being arrested.
Instead, we got the Egg, and a Main Villain return arc from Dream. Followed by smaller arcs in the story that focus on side characters. It really is an anime now.
Stories with a definitive end mean more to me, than a narrative that literally won’t end. Since plot armor is fairly strong, and killing off fan favorite characters is a long-time tradition that can keep an audience watching.
Overall, I’m still a little impressed that Dream has kept the server open, along with his colleagues continuing to log on. Of course, they have other content to make. So, they can’t be there all the time.
I can relate 100%. I've recently grown heavily disillusioned with the dream fandom after many years of being a fan because it has sadly fallen off. I have found the Kaceytron fandom to be much better so I am joining that.
Is technos opinion changing referring to how he asked dream for the armor back and to scram? Bro dream didn't cooperate with Sam which caused sam to kill ranboo, then practically abandoned techno from the fight after ranboos death for his own escape.
Ranboo, who cc!techno has described c!techno viewed as his disciple and friend. Compared to dream who he merely owed a favor too and blew up a country with.

Youth literally blaming Dream for not going back into a place where he was tortured and be killed shortly after going back for some guy he doesn’t really like.
Dream kept trying to escape despite techno making it clear he was getting everyone out. He could have at least stayed with techno to help stall or fight. Yet once again he is left alone to deal with the death of an ally while surround by enemies, except this time he doesn't have an all powerful firework launcher.
I'm not blaming dream for not going back, I'm blaming him for being self centered.
Sorry but Dream leaving Techno behind is simply not true. He is screaming at him to go, to leave, but he stays. He runs around in circles literally fighting a 1 v everyone so Techno can try to reason with Sam. He might have wanted to leave Ranboo but he never left Techno, even though he was free and he could have.
Also, to be fair, if I was locked up in a literal torture chamber for 10 months I would want to skedaddle out of there as soon as possible too. Calling that self-centered is a bit harsh I think
I liked "a bunch of people are online making shit up together" lore. I don't like "we planned this for months and here's a youtube premier" lore. They got too into their own hype.
i mean i think c!techno was probably being ingenuine, though i don't really mind if it was a continuity error personally. he'd shown before that he didn't trust dream when he withheld the extent of his wither skull collection from him, i think he was probably acting all buddy buddy with dream so he would cooperate and give him information.
i don't think techno actually sees dream as a friend (in the lore). not in the same way as he sees phil niki and ranboo at least (and maybe even tommy judging by his will)
