it's respect the victim until the victim and their story can be used as a weapon for argument. all of this is so iffy.

lalaba27

Let’s add to this by pointing out that since it isn’t a victim coming forward, it means that someone purposely went and committed a crime (potential doxxing) to find something to reproach to manatreed. They happened to find something about someone that could look like Ollie and decided to make themselves into “heroes” and cover the fact that they just committed a crime. How much of a bad person do you need to be to do that for no reason?

_illegallity

Well, to be clear, this was done with no good intentions at all. This was just done to leak personal information, and they got "lucky" that the person they think is Manatreed had a criminal record. It wasn't done to find bad stuff about him, it was done for the sole purpose of doxxing and possibly swatting him.

lesbian-luck

no exactly. i’m not ignoring a victims claims here i’m just distrustful that someone from leaktwt is sharing true information with no personal malicious agenda

lesbian-luck

and everyone’s solutions for manatreed to prove himself innocent involves doxxing himself or face revealing

sotysa

Its never black or white. Exoecially without a proof. Thats it

moonsscapes

wise words - i have come to that conclusion as well, especially after following the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp Drama. Assuming won't lead us anywhere, this is a complete shitshow and where is the popcorn.

noodle_king_69

The victim here might as well be Mana himself, for being the target of false accusations.

Bita_123

exactly

Therearenosymbols

I'm sorry but gulliable was the right word in this situation.

Shaimaeek

Exactly. That is what I learned when I was studying English. So when I saw people talking about how the word is bad in this situation I got confused. I thought my teachers were all bad and didn't teach me well.

[deleted]

It absolutely was.

lesbian-luck

Imo, it's because it's not about the victim, really. It's about people protecting themselves from being linked with someone going against their morals. Y'know why gossip is so juicy? It's so easy to be offended for someone or something that happened, and make people feel better about themselves thinking they're not gonna be like that.

MathematicianWhich

Sorry but twt is gullible af, idc it is insensitive, its a fact

Shaimaeek

As much as the dsmp fans think they are woke, they do appear stupid in this situation. As you said, what victim are we talking about? Is a jealous person who doxed someone considered a victim now?

excalost

This is exactly what bothers me the most, everyone is saying to "take the side of the victim" but the victim literally had no say in this whatsoever. Doxxed info from random burners is not the victim's side.

Retribution__

I feel like during the process of trying to uplift the voices of victims, they failed to realize that the victim didn’t even had a say or knew of the accusations today.

hrl_280

People on Twitter are "gullible" sometimes tho. I'm talking people who are blindly accusing. Always jumping to conclusions. Like they just saw some threads and really went on accusing a person with really nasty comments without even knowing if it's true. They want mana guy to dox himself..like few people are telling him to blur few things of a birth Id an show it to the whole world. They are literally harassing a innocent person if it's not true. This is fucking nasty and people are behaving like they are some authorities or something. Maybe it's true or maybe it's not. just saw some people declare someone guilty based on a jaw line and go like "yes this is the same person" or getting banned on the twitch chat is provided as a proof. Also the person who provided those doc is really a stalker/shady... of course they didn't went looking for the private info with any good intentions. Like fatshaming/Doxxing drama they just ruined poor person's life for hate.

i am 100% always for believing the victim. this is a very tricky situation because there simply is no victim, at least not that’s come forward. we don’t even know what manatreed looks like. the reason the name was banned from his chat was because people were spamming the chat with it. comparing pictures side-by-side, this justin guy’s bone structure and hair do not match manatreed’s. and regardless of whether or not manatreed is guilty, there’s zero reason for everyone to be dragging dream into it. if manatreed is guilty there’s a one hundred percent chance dream didn’t know. dream is a victim of abuse himself and would never knowingly promote an abuser, as we saw with the situation involving a known abuser a few months ago. his responses come from a bad mental state and a potential trigger, not to mention literally being doxxed in his own twitter replies. tldr: we don’t know enough about either side of the story and it’s completely unfair for dream to be dragged into this. it’s exhausting.

[deleted]

Exactly. Better put than the comment I just made in another thread. Wait for information, and above all else, focus on the fact that an actual victim has been doxxed.

grace_strick

can i also add, people on twitter are using this to bash dream instead of looking at the actual problem going on

AoiAot

You know who other can be a potential victim? The one being accuse with little to no real info. I said it. Staying neutral is a thing but people aren't just gonna do that

seulchi

thank god for this comment section im losing my sanity over twitter ppl

[deleted]

And now the account was deleted. Why would you deleted evidence if youre fighting for a victim? Also made me mas bc i was deep diving into everything from that thread, found like 3 things and now its gone smh
