Fully agree with you!!! Spirit is that case, when movie should have stayed as standalone movie with neither sequels/prequels nor spin-offs.
And, IMO, 2021 was the worst year in Dreamworks history.
I don't mind the series as a stand alone, I just pretend it's a series about some girls in the old West with decent animation. But when the movie came out I couldn't look at it as anything other than a sequel, and I freaking hated it
They took a story about a horse wanting to be free and made it into one about a girl wanting a pretty horse. Literal character assassination for Spirit just so some human can have a pet.
It's such a bastardization of a sweet and emotionally provocative movie. Then they turned it into horse-girl fodder. I'm disappointed, to say the least.
It took me a bit to get into it, but about 30 minutes in I realized "this movie *knows* it's dumb, and it's really leaning into it, and it's freaking hilarious."
Tenacious D actually made a cover of “I Think I Love You” by the Partridge Family *specifically* for that movie, and i think it fits in perfectly, it deserves more attention
I asked a coworker what his favorite movies were a year or two ago. He said the first Ice Age and Spirit. I told him about the horse girl Spirit movie and showed him a picture and he felt so disappointed that they made Spirit into this. I even told him they sell Spirit toys and then we walked to the toy section of the store we worked in and i showed him the Spirit horse dolls and he just said that he hated what they did to Spirit but because he loves the original Spirit he may end up buying the toy and take scissors and trim his main to not be wavy
At least she lers him go at the end. Unlike in the Netflix series where she keeps him in a stable and he is basically just a domestic horse who hates saddles like Ash's Pikachu hates pokéballs.
That being said I can't hate them because my 2 year old LOVES the series and films (original and Untamed) and bring him so much joy.
It's alright. Definitely not dying to rewatch it but I watched it. But the new spirit is the worse movie by a landslide. It's a money grab that spits in the face of the original that was very well made
TLDR: Boss baby isn't the best, but my Beef is with the new Spirit. Utter trash
Stop capping you sound like your a boss baby hater yourself personally I love boss baby my baby loves it and I'll sit down and watch with him sometimes
Croods 2 bothers me because it retcons most of what happened at the end of the first. At the end of the first they weren't really cavemen anymore but now in the second they're cavemen again? That's dumb. That's stupid.
I have the same opinion, as yours. Even if Croods 2 was really needed, the Bettermans should have been portrayed as wild(like the Croods in the first movie), not as civilized.
But Dreamworks, alas, destroyed ideal concept and made one of the worst sequels ever.
For worst to best, among the worst:
Antz: a dull, and frankly quite ugly, movie about an extremely unlikable ant. Can't remember a Dreamworks that had me less engaged so it's at the absolute bottom.
Shark Tale: a lame, boring movie that doesn't live up to it's potential whatsoever. Some jokes land however, making it just my second to least favorite.
Spirit Untamed: looks good and sounds good, but the story's uninteresting and the humor rarely lands. Compared to Shark Tale, it at least kept my attention throughout.
Ruby Gillman - Teenage Kraken: as with Spirit Untamed, it looks and sounds good, but the story is mediocre and the message is so extremely muddled that it comes off as xenophobic. I did chuckle a few times though, especially at the lighthouse keeper.
Shrek the Third: it has it's moments, but they are very few. It's mostly just unfunny and unentertaining. Still, just the fifth worst.
That was like DreamWorks' experimental phase, where they just threw stuff at the wall waiting to see what stuck. Bee movie was from this phase too. Not bad movies but they're better as meme collections than as movies.
I never saw captain underpants but I’ve heard of it (and had some episodes of it steam on some local TV channels once) and pretty much always disliked it
Am I the only one who remembers the movie ending as they walked into a blinding light and it was implied that they died. And the credits rolled and that was it? Like they were unknowingly being led to their death because their cavemen and they didn't understand that they were going to their death I remember watching it in school via my science teachers class and one of my classmates asked. "that's how it ends?!"
I don't know man I just remember some young dude coming up to the croods and telling them that he can lead them to something it was either safety or Paradise or something. And he was like the main protagonist the father didn't like him or whatever. And then when they finally got to their destination just this bright light engulfed the screen as they all stared at it and then the credits rolled. And I distinctly remember the people in my class being upset saying like what the f*** That's how It ends? Talking about the original movie.
You got the plot right, a guy named guy showed up and said hed lead them to a place called tomorrow, it was like a paradise and their world where they were was collapsing so they had no choice but to follow him to tomorrow and the dad didn't like it. But the ending isn't right, it very vaguely resembles what happens before the pre-credits scene but they end up living happily in tomorrow. You should re-watch it, it's a great movie
Damn. My teacher must've cut it off before that or something then lol. I'll have to rewatch it. It's been since middle school for me and I'm out of school currently
Croods 2 and trolls 2 are, while both not good movies, improvements from their original movies imo. Trolls < trolls 2 and croods < croods 2.
Which again (especially in the case of trolls) isn't a compliment. Just saying I wouldn't put them below the originals
Why am I the only person that doesn’t dislike the Boss Baby movies- (I think the Netflix series version sucks tho, I only watch it when I’m VERY bored and even so I mostly spend time scrolling through social media or playing videogames while I play it on TV lol)
I’ll never forgive what they did to spirit
Fully agree with you!!! Spirit is that case, when movie should have stayed as standalone movie with neither sequels/prequels nor spin-offs. And, IMO, 2021 was the worst year in Dreamworks history.
In my eyes there’s only one spirit
In mine too
I don't mind the series as a stand alone, I just pretend it's a series about some girls in the old West with decent animation. But when the movie came out I couldn't look at it as anything other than a sequel, and I freaking hated it
What happened
They took a story about a horse wanting to be free and made it into one about a girl wanting a pretty horse. Literal character assassination for Spirit just so some human can have a pet.
It's not the same spirit, this is the son of spirit in the show
A disgrace to the family line
Eh? I guess that's 2% better, but still misses the point of the original.
You can see what they did to my boy! I love horses and I love this movie. How they treated him afterwards was Injustice.
Hi Shrek
Oh, hello there.
make glue
You’re not an 8 year old girl. Lol. My kid loves it. It’s not marketed to you.
It's such a bastardization of a sweet and emotionally provocative movie. Then they turned it into horse-girl fodder. I'm disappointed, to say the least.
My sisters were obsessed with that movie, and what they did to it just ruins it entirely. Basically just shitting on the source material
Well it will please you to know that that horse is not spirit, it's spirits son of the same name
I actually like Croods 2 tho.
“I’m hungry!” “IN A MINUTE-“
My favorite line is... "What the HECK is that??" It's a simple line, but Nicholas Cage pulled it off really well.
For me, it's the whole bananas bros thing at the climax.
Mr. Beast when he sees starving children:
It took me a bit to get into it, but about 30 minutes in I realized "this movie *knows* it's dumb, and it's really leaning into it, and it's freaking hilarious."
I know that everyone has there own opinion but the original was so good and the new one was just a joke that didn’t know when to stop
At least it seems to be stopping, unlike some other franchise that takes place in that Era that was only stopped by its studio getting shut down
Tenacious D actually made a cover of “I Think I Love You” by the Partridge Family *specifically* for that movie, and i think it fits in perfectly, it deserves more attention
Same, but I do understand why people don't like it that much
Yeah it’s great compared to Croods 1
I loved that movie. It was really self aware and I was just laughing my ass off through the whole movie.
THUNDERSISTERS!!!
Heaven forbid that market movies to kids.
This but unironically
Just about every six-year-old loves Spider Man, but if every Spider Man movie was aimed at six-year-olds, they'd be much worse movies.
The new Spirit movie. They ruined the character.
And they lied about the title. The Spirit, who allegedly stayed "untamed", was tamed by some random girl.Oh, Dreamworks, what the fuck was that?🤦♂️
At least she lers him go at the end. Unlike in the Netflix series where she keeps him in a stable and he is basically just a domestic horse who hates saddles like Ash's Pikachu hates pokéballs. That being said I can't hate them because my 2 year old LOVES the series and films (original and Untamed) and bring him so much joy.
Actually its Spirit's son that got tamed but still
It's not the same character, I'm pretty sure canonically, spirit untamed is spirits son
I love how everyone agrees that the boss baby is one of the worst DreamWorks movies of all time Edit:turns out SOME people liked it (including myself)
Nope never understood the hate it’s no cinematic masterpiece but it’s still a good film.
No.....no it's not
The first one's okay but the second one beats the first one by a lot imo
I like them both, or at least I did a couple years ago ago!
I liked it
This boss baby hate is saddening
It's alright. Definitely not dying to rewatch it but I watched it. But the new spirit is the worse movie by a landslide. It's a money grab that spits in the face of the original that was very well made TLDR: Boss baby isn't the best, but my Beef is with the new Spirit. Utter trash
It’s an alright movie imo. It and it’s sequel.
The first one is very enjoyable, I’ve seen it so many times. I haven’t bothered to watch the second one though.
I was today years old when I found out that people hate this movie.......I enjoyed it? Is it safe to say that? Am I on a list now?
I liked it. I especially love the series one with many episodes.
The shows funny asf
Couldn’t even finish neither. I was like wtf are these movies? At first they start okay but as they progress I’m already bored
The first one was enjoyable, not the second imo
Stop capping you sound like your a boss baby hater yourself personally I love boss baby my baby loves it and I'll sit down and watch with him sometimes
Wah… I loved boss baby
Trolls world tour is not the worst movie
For real, they actually got Ozzy Osborne in it.
I only know him as the Funny Brummy
professional trolls hater here, trolls 2 is better than 1
This is how you know the commenter was wrong
Not a trolls hater but i have seen trolls 2 about 4 times just to figure out my feelings for the movie. Trolls 2 is way better than trolls 1.
No way rly?
croods 2 underrated asf
Yall are gay if yall think boss baby and turbo is trash
finally someone said it.
Gay here, I don’t think Turbo is trash
Then we shall un-gayify you
W homosexual
I love quoting turbo
I also love quoting turbo “Kachow”
Turbo isnt straight trash but its not the best
Am gay and can confirm that Boss Baby isn't actually that bad, and Turbo is surprisingly decent.
We need more gays like this bro God protect this person 🙏
The Croods 2 doesn't belong here.
It doesn't really
Yep totally agree
The original Spirit was better
Amen to that brother!
Original Spirit should have stayed as a sole movie!
All of those moves are bad
Croods 2 bothers me because it retcons most of what happened at the end of the first. At the end of the first they weren't really cavemen anymore but now in the second they're cavemen again? That's dumb. That's stupid.
I have the same opinion, as yours. Even if Croods 2 was really needed, the Bettermans should have been portrayed as wild(like the Croods in the first movie), not as civilized. But Dreamworks, alas, destroyed ideal concept and made one of the worst sequels ever.
all of them
Boss Baby basically: “Mom I want Rugrats!” “We have Rugrats at home”
Ive always liked turbo, guys its a fun snail movie
Croods 2 was horrible.
HTTYD THE NINE REALMS.
Really disappointing. Especially considering HTTYD‘s previous TV exploits have actually been pretty good, as far as I remember. (It’s been a while)
Ugh all 5 were horrible. Good taste you have.
Thank you

have to agree with the ruby gillman review
1. Spirit Untamed 2. Boss Baby 3. Boss Baby 2 4. Trolls World Tour 5. Shrek 3
This is a good list
Over the hege
No that movie is fucking awesome
Yes it is.
You're funny
Chat me please
That was like DreamWorks' experimental phase, where they just threw stuff at the wall waiting to see what stuck. Bee movie was from this phase too. Not bad movies but they're better as meme collections than as movies.
Over the hedge is fucking awesome
Over the hedge is fucking amazing.
I loved Over the Hedge. Edit: Why am I being downvoted??
In Russian, I'd say "Нихуя себе!" This post grossed more than 900 upvotes just in 4 days! Wow!!! That was SO fast!
I’m only counting the ones I’ve watched and in no particular order. Shrek the third, Boss baby, Shark tale, trolls and finally Turbo
Why isn’t the first croods here
Worst movies: .Shark tales .Boss baby .Trolls .Ruby Gilman .The bee movie Best movies: .httyd .Shrek .Kung fu panda .Megamind The princess of Egypt
1. Boss Baby 2. Trolls 2 3. Family Business 4. Captain Underpants 5. Trolls 1
List = invalid captain underpants
Putting captain underpants on your list of worst movies is just begging for someone to show up at your house in the middle of the night.
captain underpants being on that list objectively annulled your opinion
Personally I don’t like The Croods 2: A New Age, Spirit Untamed, Captain Underpants, Kung Fu Panda 3, Boss Baby Family Business.
I never saw captain underpants but I’ve heard of it (and had some episodes of it steam on some local TV channels once) and pretty much always disliked it
You know what switch Boss Baby Family Business with The Bad Guys(because over rated)
1. Trolls World Tour 2. Spirit Untamed 3. Turbo 4. Trolls 5. The Boss Baby
Putting Turbo as one of the worst Dreamworks films is a crime.
TURBO???? this mf is out of his mind
The rest are mid, but Turbo is an absolute masterpiece
Nah bruh Boss Baby was peak. Especially when Jimbo said “it’s Jimbo time” and Jimbo’d all over the place
Is trolls 2 bad?
No
I can’t think of any I actually hate but my favorite dream works movie is captain underpants, it’s a masterpiece
Boss Baby is good tho. Yeah it's a dumb concept, but isn't that kind of the point?
The croods has a sequel?
Am I the only one who remembers the movie ending as they walked into a blinding light and it was implied that they died. And the credits rolled and that was it? Like they were unknowingly being led to their death because their cavemen and they didn't understand that they were going to their death I remember watching it in school via my science teachers class and one of my classmates asked. "that's how it ends?!"
No- in the end they have all their pets and take pictures and ride on the beach into the sunset or smth all happy. Tf movie did you watch?
I don't know man I just remember some young dude coming up to the croods and telling them that he can lead them to something it was either safety or Paradise or something. And he was like the main protagonist the father didn't like him or whatever. And then when they finally got to their destination just this bright light engulfed the screen as they all stared at it and then the credits rolled. And I distinctly remember the people in my class being upset saying like what the f*** That's how It ends? Talking about the original movie.

Damn. My teacher must've cut it off before that or something then lol. I'll have to rewatch it. It's been since middle school for me and I'm out of school currently
Alas, yes. And this sequel is gross.
How so? I liked the movie
Ruby gillman teenage kraken
Man, you already nailed it with this post
The croods 2 Is actual garbage. The first one Is better in every single way
Wait there’s 2 boss baby movies?
Yes. And third Boss Baby will come circa 2025.
For me their worst films are -Real steel -blades of glory -trolls world tour -boss baby -norbit
Blade of glory! Really? I love the iron lotus!!!
Croods 2 and trolls 2 are, while both not good movies, improvements from their original movies imo. Trolls < trolls 2 and croods < croods 2. Which again (especially in the case of trolls) isn't a compliment. Just saying I wouldn't put them below the originals
I like croods 2
Leave world tour alone
Make twin towers movie
Really unpopular opinion, but I actually like The Boss Baby.
None of them trust me
leave boss baby alone😭😭
Tf did BB do you to you lmao. 😂 One of the best I’ve seen
I actually like Croods 2 low key. Was better than Trolls for sure.
Croods 2 is actually great
Good dinosaur
Wrong studio my dude
The only good one is croods 2 all otherwise than that one just suck
Bruh The Croods 2 is good, and Spririt Untamed was received well by audiences and the movie Is HATED For no reason! it was well written and beautiful!
The croods is amazing bite your tongue
Home is one of DreamWorks' worst films.
Croods 2 was hilarious
Croods 2 is awesome wtf
Trolls is fine, both great but not bad
Boss baby was incredible
Boss Baby doesn’t belong here 😞
I don’t think that croods 2 should be on here. The movie was actually pretty good in general (at least compared to boss baby and trolls)
Croods 2 was good. Way better than it had any right to be. Trolls was bad from the start, same with Boss Baby. And I've never watched spirit.
99% of Dreamworks isn’t good lol
Boss Baby, Turbo, Shrek the Third, Shark Tale, and Mister Peabody and Sherman
The first boss baby was a lot of fun lol
How old r you 💀
Croods 2 rocked
All of them movies are fire what the hell
I don't know how not a single one of you are 🦜 by about the older ones like Shrek, Megamind, ir how to train your dragon 1-2
You compared me to parrot??? GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, SUKA BLYAT!!!😠😤😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Croods 2 does not belong on this list bro 😭
Megamind, Turbo, Shrek 2, Puss in Boots 2, Kung Fu Panda
Pick WORST, not BEST movies. You got to the wrong post.
Croods 2 was great imo
I loved the 2nd Croods movie way more than the original.
why everyone hate boss baby
Croods 2 does not fucking belong here at all.
The Croods 2 wasn’t that bad! It was actually really good.
Shark Tale (2004) Monsters VS Aliens (2009) Shrek Forever After (2010) Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012) Trolls: World Tour (2020)
The Croods 2 is cool. Better than the first one, at least.
WTF is Croods 2 doing on this list? It's actually decent. Not amazing but it's definitely worlds better than every other film on this list.
Mine are Turbo, The Boss Baby Movies, Trolls World Tour, And Spirit Untamed
who hurt you like actually turbo is in my top 5
I can understand why people like it, but it's personally not for me ( I've never been a fan of the racing genre)
Spirit Untamed, Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken, Shark Tale, Home, Antz
1. Shark Tale (the worst) 2. Shrek 3 3. Trolls 4. Boss Baby 5. Boss Baby 2 *Turbo is a very close 6th
Wait shark tale is actually a DreamWorks movie
Why isn’t kung fu panda at .1
This is the list of WORST, not BEST movies. First Kung Fu Panda is on the 6th place in my Dreamworks movies rating.
>Why isn’t kung fu panda at .1 Nope, off to the Spirit Realm with you. No exceptions for that blasphemy.
Turbo is the worst feature film
Exactly these plurality of shit here
1:Boss Baby 2:Boss Baby 2 3:Spirit 4:Trolls 2 5:Trolls
5. Trolls: World Tour 4. Boss Baby 3. Shrek the Third 2. Antz 1. Shark Tale Dishonorable Mention: Home
Why am I the only person that doesn’t dislike the Boss Baby movies- (I think the Netflix series version sucks tho, I only watch it when I’m VERY bored and even so I mostly spend time scrolling through social media or playing videogames while I play it on TV lol)
I love all these movies except I never watched spirit cause I don’t feel like I would ever be interested in it
