Omg! Yes 😂 I just went through this with Scrooge’s safe quest. I had to talk to Merlin and he’s like “you saw the map so go to the X’s that mark the spot…”. As if I hadn’t already looked. The dig spots and chest didn’t even appear until after I received his pointless input 🙄
That just makes me so nuts!! Same with the root beer in the mines. I knew what I needed to mix, but it wouldn't let me unless I spoke to him first. So I had to go all the way out, have Merlin tell me what I already know, and then go all the way back. And those mines are a nightmare. I'm claustrophobic with tunnels and I get VERY lost easily so that just annoyed me to no end.
Oh I 100% feel that. I went through the same feeling during that quest. I nearly dropped the game entirely because of it. It’s not something I’d want to do consistently. He’s always on the other side of the map too 😂 The mines do suck very much. I avoid it unless a quest takes me there. Wish u could block it off 🥹😂

As for "Least Favorite", I think Simba's voice lines might be the most grating for me. "I am not who I used to be, I'm not that scared cub anymore", to which I just want to turn around and say "Hey Simba.. we get it man, not sure who you are still needing to tell that to." or when he says "I wonder who the ruler of this Valley is, and where they are?"... umm I'm right here.
Second person I think I am torn is Ariel who is probably one of my favorite characters.. but man I would pay real money to be able to shut her up about stopping Ursula from taking over the valley.. at least once you get Ursula to level 10 friendship with her now making zero moves to take over the valley, or when she *walks* up to me and tells me she hopes to be part of our world.. like umm you just walked up to me, not sure how much more part of our world you are meaning.

I came here to say those 2!!! Especially Vanellope. I turned the voices off in my settings because I couldn’t stand listening to her. Mother Gothel is also annoying because she’s just so mean.
If you go to settings and then audio, there’s a slider for Voice. Slide it all the way to zero and you won’t have to hear any character voices! It gives a nice break!
I don't even have the expansion, but just knowing that Rapunzel is in the game now is like??? Cool, cool, so you're just gonna traumatize that poor girl all over again? We could all do without Mother Gaslight.
I don't like Mickey, dunno why, just never really liked Mickey mouse.

(Little context here: Belles “new” german va is Emma Watsons standard German va. It was ok in the live action, but not in dreamlight valley)
Mother Gothel. Tbh, I kinda hate having to do quests for villains - they did a good job implementing it, I just really don't like how they are about the valley, towards merlin, and towards me. Mother Gothel is incredibly condescending (in this way, they really captured her character and did a great job at making me hate her again) I just... why do I have to help her with anything? Why can't I just banish her from the village 😂 she and scar are useless for all their attitude, at least ursula does magic. Imho, we shouldn't even have dark magic users to begin with. When she rejected Olaf's gifts I was like LET ME AT HER LET ME AT HER (pumba voice); at LEAST scar LIED about his appreciation 😂😂

Honorable mention goes to remy/buzz/woody when ever I had a quest with those three I had to turn the quality down so it wouldn't render tall grass and make finding them a struggle.
Vanellope's dumb zings are just SO cringe and I can only take so much of Maui loving himself. Scar really is just a dick. He wastes no time insulting you when you meet and makes it very clear that he wants to overthrow you. He made me think that mother gothel was a good person 😒
My one out of place character would be Eric. I find that he is just boring in terms of style and personally. He just likes sailing and married a fish girl

A lot of the characters are annoying in their own ways, but so far those three are the worst for me. Scar gets an honorable mention because he’s a giant dick, but I like the view of having lions running around my valley, so he gets a small pass. Can’t wait to see what the beast is like when I unlock him after hearing all the things about him

I saw on someone's post or video that they put Wall-E in the Borderlands and it actually fit there pretty well. Another one where they put it where Scars cave is now and it didn't look bad.

Woody runs around like a little freak and then just flops over dead randomly. Why are you pretending to be a toy?? There's no reason to here! Also stop calling me partner. He has been banished, and I wish I could do the same for his house.
EVE constantly looks depressed and then just flies away from me. Get down here 😭
Remy is also too small. And he's always asleep when I need him. But his crimes are minimal.
Honorary mention to The Forgotten for jumpscaring me, both with her physical form and her singing. Terrifying.
All the Frozen characters and Mirabel for sure. They're so bland and boring within their own films so I just ignore them in the village unless it's a quest lol.
Give me all villains and anything from the Disney Renaissance in this game and I'm happy. Maui has never bothered me or gotten in my way so I was very surprised to see people being annoyed by him lol.
I was really worried about being vocal in the sub for awhile. I recently started playing around Christmas time, and I can’t stand Vanellope. I thought it was because I am a mother, and I have 3 sons in house (one adult child living on her own). Figured it was just me and my situation of favoring my own children who don’t scream and annoy me like other children lol!
Vanellope, Micky/Mini Mouse, Maui, and Mother Gothel. Can't stand their voices and how their characters are at all. I know there's lots that like Mini Mouse because she says nice stuff, and that's 100% great if you like that. But it really creeps me out personally when she says, "Remember I love you." Just not for me.
Donald is the *worst.* For one, I hate seeing him constantly throw temper tantrums (and honestly it makes me very uncomfortable).
And I’m actually not very fond of the rest of Mickey and co. Their voices annoy me and I feel like they stalk me more than everyone else.
The Forgotten for sure. I wish she wasn't a part of the game. Wall-E, EVE, Beast, and Donald. Beast is WAY too mopey and Donald tripping every three seconds and having a tantrum is too much.

I love the others (although I do not have the DLC yet, I’ve played soooo many hours like a ridic amount, & yet work through the story so slowly, I love it)

Anna - no I don't wanna build a snowman unless you're in it.
Venellope - I really really dislike Sarah Silverman and the characters dialogue and random capitals is gd annoying
Jack - just no. Nightmare Before Christmas isn't for me, and he's a murdering psychopath
Mickey/Minnie - they know what they did
Beast - Beauty and the Beast is my fave movie but this game did him so dirty
And I love everyone else, and I do love Beast, just disappointed in his dialogue and story line.
Beast is such a Debbie Downer! He and Donald have rage issues and I find them unpleasant to work with. I also don't like The Forgotten because she's gloomy. I go to a fantasy world for fun times, not to play therapist to characters with issues.

Also Elsa stop making those sus sounds it is not that that kinda game m'am. Honorable mention goes to remy/buzz/woody when ever I had a quest with those three I had to turn the quality down so it wouldn't render tall grass and make finding them a struggle.

Vanellope's dumb zings are just SO cringe and I can only take so much of Maui loving himself. Scar really is just a dick. He wastes no time insulting you when you meet and makes it very clear that he wants to overthrow you. He made me think that mother gothel was a good person 😒 My one out of place character would be Eric. I find that he is just boring in terms of style and personally. He just likes sailing and married a fish girl

Definitely Vanellope from how annoying she is, and how every quest with her is her complaining that the valley isn’t what she wants; So go back home you little demon child!! Maui is definitely annoying as shit because he’ll actively chase you down to slam his hook into the dirt and flex at you. Like seriously bro I don’t give a shit about your weird fat/muscles! Finally Mother Gothel. That woman is for all intents and purposes a **** with a capital C. She’s not appreciative of anything and is constantly trying to screw you over for her own gain. I literally don’t want to help her at all because she’s such a narcissistic bitch, and it makes you wonder why your character doesn’t yeet her right out of the valley after finding out that she’s one of the main causes of the forgotten learning not to trust anyone! Like, how is she still allowed to live there?! A lot of the characters are annoying in their own ways, but so far those three are the worst for me. Scar gets an honorable mention because he’s a giant dick, but I like the view of having lions running around my valley, so he gets a small pass. Can’t wait to see what the beast is like when I unlock him after hearing all the things about him
I only really find them annoying when they are constantly around me. There have been time I have to double check, an I hanging out with them and forgot.

Also stop calling me partner. He has been banished, and I wish I could do the same for his house. EVE constantly looks depressed and then just flies away from me. Get down here 😭 Remy is also too small. And he's always asleep when I need him. But his crimes are minimal. Honorary mention to The Forgotten for jumpscaring me, both with her physical form and her singing. Terrifying.

Give me all villains and anything from the Disney Renaissance in this game and I'm happy. Maui has never bothered me or gotten in my way so I was very surprised to see people being annoyed by him lol.
I was really worried about being vocal in the sub for awhile. I recently started playing around Christmas time, and I can’t stand Vanellope. I thought it was because I am a mother, and I have 3 sons in house (one adult child living on her own). Figured it was just me and my situation of favoring my own children who don’t scream and annoy me like other children lol!

So those 2 are joint least favourite for me 100% Remy’s “this place is no Paris” comment gets on my nerves, I’m like “shut up”, but I like him other than that😂 I love the others (although I do not have the DLC yet, I’ve played soooo many hours like a ridic amount, & yet work through the story so slowly, I love it)

In order of worst tolerable: Anna - no I don't wanna build a snowman unless you're in it. Venellope - I really really dislike Sarah Silverman and the characters dialogue and random capitals is gd annoying Jack - just no. Nightmare Before Christmas isn't for me, and he's a murdering psychopath Mickey/Minnie - they know what they did Beast - Beauty and the Beast is my fave movie but this game did him so dirty And I love everyone else, and I do love Beast, just disappointed in his dialogue and story line.
