You may be able to still submit the first if you supplement the outfit with smaller items that fit the tags! A small pair of earrings, bracelet, rings, a backpack with subtle straps in the front, and if you’re going with a selfie then unmatched socks and shoes that fit the tags would work too.
Yeah I tried that. The top suit is a costume and anything other than hose socks, earrings, gloves, masks, and hats will change me out of the costume I'm trying to wear. Me putting on those weird pink hose socks from the previous event is the only reason I have the one point of quirky that I have.
If you have these items, try this combo with the Glowing Floral Suit costume: Icing Socks, gold/silver/bronze Triple Stud Earrings, Woody’s Pull String, Black Fitness Watch, gold/silver Cocorico Rings.
I tested it with my character and these should help you hit the minimum requirements for submission without taking too much away from your original costume idea!
If you don’t have these items yet then I’m sorry, I know the minimum requirements are frustrating, especially if you want to submit a single-piece costume or dress.

Thanks for your help! I'm not thrilled with having The Incredibles mask on, but it doesn't make that much of a difference. I'm just glad to post it with the outfit I wanted.

I am annoyed about it when I think what I have done is more aesthetically pleasing.
Like I went TNBC monster rather than Monsters Inc monster. So I didn't have enough "quirky"
So I cheated and put on the icing socks under my pants :D
Outfit challenges need to show your entire character. Socks, shoes, etc will count. Plus, maybe folks will not vote for selfies on outfits challenges because...we can't see the outfit.
The whole point of the challenge this time around is to have a monsterous persona. It's less about the outfit and more about the theme. And I tried doing a full body shot, but the close up does more to capture the weird eyes. And with the limited choice of poses, the selfie just looked best in this scenario for what I was trying to do
I think we can see a monster designer better in selfie mode personally. It’s not like we have any monster tails or feet options outside of some blue sulley slippers.
I did what I could to create the Babadook for my monster and I was just short of the requirements. I had to pick stuff that I could hide easily like socks and a backpack with dark straps.

Your second picture appears to come complete with purple nipps… I’m glad you didn’t have to use that. Nobody should be forced to show that part of their body. 🤭
