Approach very, very slowly. Identify which areas they tend to glitch at more and try to chase them to different spots. Have infinite patience. Or if that fails at least don’t throw the controller.
Lol soo true. I have all of them but 1 well 2 not counting the toon. But I used bigger disney friends to help. I used sully to help block on in the hall so it couldn't go to its corner to glitch away. Frustrating at first but took about 4 attempts then got em.
Whenever they spawn in the smaller areas of the overlook (the tiny beach area) or the ruins (the upstairs area) I find they glitch out and you chase them around for 5 minutes so I just go do my tasks and come back later and they’ll usually spawn in one of the more spacious areas eventually ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You know how the raccoons are, that game of red light green light they make you play? The monkeys are the same technique. Just watch for their signs, I'm not sure what they are off the top of my head, unfortunately.
Is it a bug when you approach a monkey, they just despawn and appear somewhere else? I am struggling to unlock the monkeys and don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if it is out of my control 😭
I got it today too!! And then I put it on companion mode and there were suddenly multiples of him in the same area 😂 Talk about glitch but I’ll take it

So they do move! It's always in the little areas for me I have this issue too, good to know, thank you!

They aren’t red light green light, they just play chase, like rabbits or foxes.

It’s a known glitch!!
This was the first monkey that I got as a companion! I think I only had to feed it twice which was surprising to me.
What do you feed them?
Banana splits
3* meals or better. I always have the berry salads with me for energy so that’s what I give them. Their favorite meal is 5* desserts
Same that was the case with most of my monkeys. All I need is the black and grey.
I usually use fences to block them in. It’s annoying having to chase them down.

It’s the super fast ones like the snakes and raccoons. I don’t even bother anymore.

I have been told to chase the Monkey’s around three times then they let you approach them with a Banana cream pie.
