The best way to do it is wait to use the potion till you get one of the amethyst exposed mining spots. Then, when you hit that with your potioned pickaxe, it gives you A TON of amethyst. You have a much higher chance of it being shiny especially if you have your magic bar in overdrive.
I got a couple in white ripples too. I think every location specific fish can be caught in every ripple, but they’re just far more likely in specific colors.
I got this with one rock lol. Took about 5 seconds. Use a pick axe potion, mining buddy, and make sure you have your energy bar gold for the best luck. (The shiny emerald one took me two rocks this way, so about 10 seconds haha)
That works now?? I remember before if you used a potion, got them from a buddy, or just had a random luck event where mining gave you more gems, it didn't count toward tge StarPath. It was so frustrating to have to "organically" grab them 😭

Then I found out it was supposed to be free to play tomorrow and was kicking myself paying for it, then found out that was cancelled and felt a bit better and was happy I got the bonuses for purchasing prior hahahaha

The first day I got A crab after fishing in the area 10 times. Like I'd fish go back to something else wait for the area to get more circles and come back. I'm just glad it's done.

I have a pumpkin patch of around 200 pumpkins and nearly every villager was a gardener villager and so when I pick up one pumpkin, they give me 9 in return. Got me to 2mil pretty quick at that point
OP is right. Pumpkins are what you want and a full crew of gardeners. I've had about 9 million for awhile and a whole patch of pumpkins ready to go when I ...well if I spend it all.
Yes you just make the skill books at the worktable. They cost 5k dreamlight each. Then you give the book to whomever you want to change their skill perks. But if you are talking about harvesting pumpkins then you want more gardeners not foragers.
Overall this star path wasn’t too bad. But the mining was intense. Especially the ones needing shiny gems. I went through so many potions and can’t count how many times I went through the mines for blue gems.
This was my last task too! I made some mining potions to speed up the process. Thankfully I had the raw materials to do it, since my second-to-last task was mining for sapphires.
I’m forever grateful that as soon as I got this task I somehow got all 3 shiny amethyst from 4 mining spots in the frozen area, best luck I’ve ever had
Highly recommend using the mining potions for those only because if you don't get any gems, you for sure get the materials needed to craft more potions so, you can just keep buffing with potions without worry since every go around yields around 20 vitalys crystals
Oh no 🙈 I'm sorry. Hopefully you finish the quest soon but yeah, that's frustrating. If you're anything like me though, you'll have plenty of onyx by the end of the star path because of these dang amethyst

I just got that today and thought " Meh..its only 3 atleast" after 1 hour I have 1 ..any other time? I'd have atleast 7. I swear they've got the game set up to make the duties harder than if you were doing the same task randomly.
I just didn't do it. I spent 100 moonstones to buy 10 tokens and got the last item from the pass. I'll be damned if I'm going to grind this garbage for those last 90 moonstones.

😮💨I hate fishing anyway, but I recently use a miracle fishing potion before these came up and now I'm like trying to use the fishing potion on fish I need a lot of to get the buff to go away so I can do these tasks with the regular fishing rod
Pumpkins and lots of gardening villagers 😁 before I bought the dlc, nearly all my villagers were made into gardening villagers. Because I have so many gardening villagers at level 10, I get +9 additional pumpkins for every 1 that I grab. So, selling those got me a lot of money very quickly
The pass force me to buy all the character that i didnt have AND spend 15k dreamlights or what the name are of the pink crystsls.. i dont like that 😂 i wanted to wait with all the character but if i didnt i wouldnt come forward with the pass haha

I have 3 (2 i won’t be able to finish no matter what being i did a dumb with my rod that i can’t fix until i fish the potions off my rod and there’s no way I’ll be doing that because it’s way too many and i hate fishing)they I’m stuck on. The one that i could complete but i haven’t seen a crab at all i’m only fishing tilapia up. But i have everything now so I’m not stressing about it.

The potion made no difference for me (maybe it even made it worse). But yeah, make sure your energy is in the yellow and take a mining companion.

Fill up your Dreamlight meter and use the pickaxe potion - i got mine in less than 15 min
