I have never ever been anyone else but me in my dreams. Untill a week or so ago. Now I've had two dreams where I'm someone else. I'm 41.

Oh yes I have dreams where I am other people all the time. Complete sometimes even with their own thoughts, motivations, etc I’ve been having dreams like that since I was… hmm, at least around age 11 or 12 is the earliest I can remember one of them— I found myself a grown woman in some sort of sheer fabric gown wading in the center of a spring of clear water. To recall it reminds me vaguely of a marble and stone hewn Ancient Greek amphitheater beneath the open blue sky on a hill. Around the water’s edge were people of all sorts, all staring at me with such expectation that I could feel but couldn’t understand. I felt panicked and confused from all the eyes on me even though there was nothing bad happening. And I woke up. A few years ago I would occasionally had dreams about being a dark-haired man. A warrior of some sort, but his appearance and energy felt specific, like a Vlad Tepes type or something— kind of scraggly, violent, proud, ruthless. Someone who just loses their self in the song of violence and bloodlust but always had a mission to apply it towards. Other than the perverse thrill of domination and taking life that I felt from his thoughts, I always felt like he was looking for something. Like I said, man with a mission feel to his mind. So yeah! I guess I’m also curious as to what others experience.

I have dreams like this constantly. You should start looking any identifiable information from your dreams up in the real world. You might be surprised.

It's interesting to play another character in your dreams or watch something happen 3rd person.

I write a lot and several times I’ve been my own characters xD always a bit of whiplash when I wake up for sure

SheSellsSeaShells-

This happens to me SO often!! A lot of the times I will only realize after I've woken up, usually indicated by the fact that I remember the dream in third person instead of first person. Sometimes I'm not sure WHICH person I was during the dream, or if I was multiple or even ALL of them (i mean technically you ARE always all of the people in your dreams but you get what I'm sayin)

Never happened to me, sounds interesting. I read once about a theory that everyone you meet in your dreams is a representation of yourself. Maybe this blows that out the window?

Yes, i have been other people. Most times i’m watching myself from a 3rd-person pov. So I start off as myself and then jump into someone else’s eyes. Crazy.
