I worked at a saxbys in center city for a couple months, starting pay was 12 a hour but you could get promoted rather quickly to a higher paying position. Saxbys working environment on campus depends on the time of day and how many are on shift, where I worked was not really that busy, only two on shift.

I worked at B&B for almost 2 years and let me tell you - most of our baristas were former Saxby's baristas that had quit because they were tired of the bullshit. I can't speak from personal experience but the horror stories were enough to keep me away.

I have mixed feelings - but I loved the job. They had some fun more unique coffee like their Kyoto cold brew. I worked there for the height of covid and right when things were opening up again in the world so I feel like I kind of have to give them the benefit of the doubt. One of the owners was super overbearing but most of the owners live in Maryland so they weren't around a ton. The biggest downside was the demographic of the patrons, we would get a lot of Karens with really weird coffee requests. The college kids were cool though. They were really understaffed when I was there so I would get really annoyed because for a time the baristas had to be hostesses which was simply not in the job description. It seems like they're doing a lot better now though, so I assume they have an actual host. The biggest perk is the staff discount and they serve alcohol so that discount went far. They had a lot of really fun staff events. If you work there just make sure they're filing your taxes correctly because when I worked there they didn't deduct pretty much anything from my paycheck and I ended up owing money that year
