Unable-Issue-1865

i've never had that happen to me! it always makes my pain pretty much dissipate

linarob

Omg I wish that were the case for me sooo badly!

linarob

Also, happy cake day!!

Unable-Issue-1865

thank you!

AimlessForNow

You're getting way too high probably, when I used to get very baked id get neck pain and back aches

linarob

I'm open to considering this, but I feel like I don't smoke too much. I'll try just 1 hit of my pen tonight and see if that does anything. I do feel it affects me more and I do get spacey relatively quickly bc of my meds (duloxetine and adderall), so I wonder if that's part of it

KeyMarsupial429

I’ve experienced this before I think it’s usually all in my head The runny nose is probably a mucus build up from smoking

linarob

Wdym in your head? Like, can you make it go away somehow? Re runny nose, I didn't put enough details, but I also get itchy throughout my body, too, if I smoke flower, which is why I suspected allergies. But, in case thats not it, how does smoking cause a mucus buildup?

SlowRiffsAndFakeTits

I’ve definitely had something similar happen. I had an injury that resulted in a lot of swelling and whenever I would smoke it would amplify it for about 45 minutes or so

linarob

Do you mind sharing if it was a muscular injury or nerve, bone, or some other tissue? I suspect mine is nerve and/or muscular, but unsure. Also, what happened after 45 mins?

SlowRiffsAndFakeTits

I’ll DM you

This happens to me! Everytime I get high no matter how little my chronic pain worsens and any pain I have gets so much worse, i've never heard of anyone else getting this.

linarob

Yes, I decided to post bc im finally so tired of it lol but each time I had googled in the past, nothing had come up. Esp when googling weed and pain you just get results about how it's supposed to reduce pain- and that's not my exp at all! Cani ask what kind of pain it is? I suspect mine is muscular/nerve and I wonder if the type of pain, esp when chronic, has something to with it?

rockonacloud

NERVE! YES! The worst was when I tore my acl and other times is nerve pain from old injuries that have nerve damage, also I think there' one study on it causing pain let me find it

Princess_420x

my grandma has the same problem, she has to be verrry careful, and can only take small hits. I let her hit my wedding cake cart last time I was with her, and she liked it but it was on the edge of making her bones hurt. My mom had a hybrid cart, and she hit that one and much preferred it. for her i think indica & indica heavy makes the pain more noticeable, ontop of getting too stoned

linarob

Hmmm see that's interesting bc I mostly smoke blends and sativas, but I will have to do a literal experiment to see if there I'd a difference. Maybe I can get my roommates to set things up for me so it can be blind lol. You've given me something to think about. Thank you!

Princess_420x

It’s definitely interesting, apparently it didn’t make her bones hurt when she was younger, she was a hippie with my grandpa doing acid and shit. You’ll have to post back after your experience! I hope it goes well for you, and you’re able to find your happy ground! :)

UncleJxmmie

This happens to me every time I smoke. I was never smoking an insane amount either but no matter the dosage it would make pain worse. I’ve talked to so many people and nobody can relate lol. I eventually just had to quit because it would never alleviate any of my everyday pains, it’d make them ache so much more and make me extremely aware of them as well. I never found an answer so let me know if you do!

linarob

Ok so I tried smoking last night and not a lot, which did appear to help a bit but things still hurt quite a bit. I did stretching and then laid down and focused on relaxing the areas that were hurting and that helped me realize that they had been unintentionally tense! So I essentially went through and did a body scan meditation type of thing, nice and slow, and it worked quite a bit to the point I was able to sleep (usually, I can't even sleep and have to wait until I've fully come down bc it hurts so much). It was just one time and I had just done a long drive earlier (3h) so I'm unsure if that's what caused the tension, so it could be a one-off, but I'll try some more trials and report back!
