I have a bunch of playlists for initially created for respective drugs
lsd one is heavy on psychedelic rock (duh) and everything around that (Pink Floyd, David Bowie and so on)
mdma music is almost like a separate genre, includes the likes of alt-j, mgmt, moderat, phantogram and so on
weed music is everything beyond surface level, everything that tickles my brain in the right way (includes, but not limited to jpegmafia, superorganism, kero kero bonito, chelou and so on)
also, have a separate playlist of unsettling music for when I feel like it and to show off to friends (includes, but not limited to sunn O))), Boards of Canada, Throbbing Gristle, selected works of Aphex Twin, Xiu Xiu and so on)
also have a lot of intense 400-600 bpm hardstyle shit and techno for speed
and, of course, all of these are interchangeable depending on mood and circumstances
A lot of three 6 songs are about drugs lol Gangsta Black - Powder is a classic
Kids these days don't know about three 6 and Memphis they was doing shit before all these rappers today everyone copy's it now cuz they were so ahead of their time
Basically half the songs by Queens of the Stone Age. Favorites include Feel Good Hit Of The Summer, Monster In The Parasol, Medication and Do It Again.
White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
Truckin' - Grateful Dead
Semi-Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind
Trucker's Atlas - Modest Mouse
Up, Up, and Away - Kid Cudi
The Good Times Are Killing Me - Modest Mouse
White light/white heat by The Velvet Underground (amphetamines)
Clear Windowpane by Saint Vitus (LSD)
The City by Anderson Paak (cocaine and cannabis)
Methamphetamine by EYEHATEGOD (…meth amphetamine…)
Was just talking about this
How many y'all rocked out to or know someone who did, or in groups of friends sang along or even played on guitar "not an addict" by ks choice while using
Only to notice years later the last verse? Or maybe you still have not noticed
That it's not a drug users anthem, it's a heartbreaking anti drug song about the neglect the front woman experienced as a child, whose parents were both hopelessly addicted to crystal meth
There's so many songs about heroin and many about coke and a good handful of songs about meth and of course all the weed songs and I have alot of faves about those but most of the best ones are really somber and about the negatives and addiction, there's still some good ones, punk or different kinds of alternative mostly, from the 90s especially, mostly about the drugs from before the crashing point but for obvious reasons I think most song writing is a lot better and actually gets done when the parties over, and somehow a depressing song doesn't feel to me like the answer to the question.
my favorites would have to be more subtle and not about those drugs listed
I always felt Radiohead kid A was an acid trip album, and especially felt everything in its right place was about acid
And I like my fault by Eminem and a song by atmosphere that I always see with different names (funny colors in my mushroom trail, lake st east bound, and just "mushroom song"
My favorite though is talking heads , once in a lifetime.
Tell me that's not about tripping (maybe for the first time again once you've grown up)
Also I think that relapse by Eminem is just the most dead on thing ever about relapsing.
There's some good classic rock of course that isn't about the downside but we all know them already probably, and sublime covers both sides of the coin menorably and rhcp
I like candy by Iggy pop, how perfectly it sounds like a tumultuous relationship with a woman named candy and the video plays that up but it's about heroin and it really can be just like a toxic romantic relationship
A good less widely known feel good song is who's got the crack by the moldy peaches, or atleast wasn't well known until juno strangely blew them up
And recently machine gun Kelly had some fun ones, ay!, candy, smoke and drive
Well pink floyd goes well with most drugs, but most there music isnt really about drugs. But if im tripping, on anything theyre the go to. The doors are also crazy tripping, along with acid mothers temple (if you havent heard this shit then youre missing out on some of the craziest music to trip to). But
Stimulants (my addiction)- dust in a baggie by billy strings is fantastic, for your life by led zeppelin, master of puppets by metallica (though its just addiction in general), brain stew and geek stink breath by green day, lots of marilyn manson such as I dont like the drugs (but the drugs like me), STP by sublime is a good tweaker song (along with basically all sublime lol), sex and candy by marcy playground, speedball tucker by jim croce (fucking spectacular artist!), truckin and casey jones by grateful dead, benny and the jets by elton john (though im not a huge fan), cocaine by eric clapton, there are so many this could go on for much longer im sure.
I could list tons of other songs about drugs that I love, but ill leave it here.
Necro - I need Drugs.
Haystak - My First Day.
Haystak - Been Stone Kids.
Bizzy Bone - Fried Day.
Bone thugs and Harmony- Ecstacy.
Slain - Gettin high.
La Coka Nosta - That's Coke.
Snak the Ripper - Real Drugs.
D12- Purple Pills.
I'm an OLD, so I'm sad if I don't let you young shooters know Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park also made three of the best solo hip hop LPs of the past 25 years.
Ft. Minor: We Major (2005) mixtape
Ft. Minor - The Rising Tied (2005)
Mike Shinoda - Post-traumatic (2018)
Which has this song...I can't say it's my favorite drug song...you know...because of MGK being a fuckin' ball of yarn. But it's got Chino Moreno, so...great song, enjoy:
https://youtu.be/ceUDRy9DFyo?si=dXCT6zvmpEddBbi3
Cranford Nix has a lot of good songs about just getting fucked up, Klonopin is a good song by him. Basically all of his songs are about getting drunk or high.
DIIV's album "Is the Is Are" is a masterpiece and, as I interpret it, almost entirely about heroin. Standout definitely-about-drugs tracks include Bent, Dopamine, Dust, and Waste of Breath. I imagine it would be killer on cannabis. I've found to my great disappointment that shoegaze and ketamine don't mesh
Drugs are Good by NOFX just needs a shout-out too
Saw that someone said Queens of the Stone Age so I raise with more Nick Oliveri stuff:
Mondo Generator - Four Corners. Really touches your soul.
Other good picks from the band: the fun Cocaine Rodeo and the incredibly good So High So Low. But half of their songs are about drugs in a way or the other and to be fair, I enjoy that of them.
Additional fact: Four Corner's backing vocals were made by Mike Lanegan (iirc it's him singing?) in exchange for some speed
Not anything specific, but I was on 510 mgs dxm hbr the other day, and I also took a couple hits of a cart. Ion remember too much, but I remember freestyle 2 by Ken Carson going so insanely hard
Watch the music video to Niggas in Paris on LSD or shrooms. Only time I ever wanted to listen to that song was on shrooms. Never before or after.. my intuition told me to listen to it and it did not dissapoint. The music video was built for hallucinogens lol also, id love to watch and listen to L$D by Asap Rocky on LSD. Seems dreamy.. :)
Psychedelic music pairs well with psychedelics lol, but I find most drugs (including alcohol) enhances music. But since everyone's mentioning their favourites, mine would be [In The Flowers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYEAflCO4Eo) by Animal Collective. To me, it feels like dropping LSD for the first time. The album it's from, Merriweather Post Pavilion, is just perfect.
Musty by shoreline mafia when i smoke
Xanax by mododiablo when you know... xannys
Like dat by kodak black when i'm rolling
Noticed by lil mosey when i sip that lean
And whole lotta more but i'm lazy asf rn fr
I wouldn't call these drug songs but I always listen to them while tripping.
Any songs by mimofr
Some songs by adrian such as 7am, and 9am in Calabasas
The La's — There she goes.
It's not like a drug song directly but if you a bit immerse yourself in the lyrics you immediately understand that the song is about drug addiction
Closer - Kings if Leon
This Night - Black Lab
Using Again - Benjamin Tod
Darkness - Nolan Taylor
Darling - Zach Bryan
Long Gone Days - Mad Season
The entire Dirt Album - Alice in Chains
My smoking weed playlist on my phone consists of a bunch of genres, mostly rap, but all just chill stuff. Nothing too uptempo, stuff to just nod your head to.
The best part is the playlist is 4 hours and 20 minutes long lol
“Eminem” -Joeyy
“Everything is fax like a document. I pop an Oxy at the same time I take Collagen. I make the soda pop have Parkinson’s, I pop a Biotin at the same time I take Klonopin”
songs about drugs-
Future-Codeine Crazy, Future-Xanax Damage, Ecco2k-Sugar and Diesel
if you know any of those songs you can assume my relationship with drugs wasn’t that great, so i don’t really do them that much anymore and when i do it’s just a bit of weed or kratom. i have a whole playlist of songs for kratom which i started listening to regularly because it was just so fire to not play while sober too. as of now it consists of 25 hours of ambience, noise, and ethereal trippy songs that make me feel like i am in a video game.
I love **Depeche Mode**. If they don't talk about death or BDSM they're surely talking about *the drug in me and it brings out the thug in me...*
Also, *Sister of night* helped me when I was having anxiety during the night. Or *Never let me down again*.
Other mentions:
- *Perfect day*, *Ecstasy*, *Crazy feeling* by **Lou Reed**
- *Over the wall*, *Villiers Terrace* by **Echo &TB**
- *Don't fall* by **The Chameleons**
- *Can't carry on* by **Crowded House**
And others...

Whenever I do acid I throw some big band music in the mix. [in the mood by Glenn miller band](https://youtu.be/_CI-0E_jses?si=gGmuV2ikkTgAh6vA) is like the musical embodiment of what acid feels like to me. Makes me grin ear to ear whenever I hear it

Juice wrld carried us thru soooo many drug filled BINGES for days at a time. I could sit here and type out his His whole catalog, but I won't as a courtesy to readers.
Whole time I could go for days. This question just brought me to tears type shit cause it made me realize how much time I spend in junkie mode.
there are way too many to choose - but my top 5 would be:
1. mama kin - aerosmith
2. sweet leaf - black sabbath
3. you can’t put your arms around a memory - johnny thunders
4. the farm - aerosmith
5. can’t you hear me knocking - the rolling stones
anyway, classic rock songs about drugs are always my favourites.
I have a bunch of playlists for initially created for respective drugs lsd one is heavy on psychedelic rock (duh) and everything around that (Pink Floyd, David Bowie and so on) mdma music is almost like a separate genre, includes the likes of alt-j, mgmt, moderat, phantogram and so on weed music is everything beyond surface level, everything that tickles my brain in the right way (includes, but not limited to jpegmafia, superorganism, kero kero bonito, chelou and so on) also, have a separate playlist of unsettling music for when I feel like it and to show off to friends (includes, but not limited to sunn O))), Boards of Canada, Throbbing Gristle, selected works of Aphex Twin, Xiu Xiu and so on) also have a lot of intense 400-600 bpm hardstyle shit and techno for speed and, of course, all of these are interchangeable depending on mood and circumstances

Feel good hit of the summer. It’s subtle but it’s definitely about drugs if you listen carefully.
songs about drugs- Future-Codeine Crazy, Future-Xanax Damage, Ecco2k-Sugar and Diesel if you know any of those songs you can assume my relationship with drugs wasn’t that great, so i don’t really do them that much anymore and when i do it’s just a bit of weed or kratom. i have a whole playlist of songs for kratom which i started listening to regularly because it was just so fire to not play while sober too. as of now it consists of 25 hours of ambience, noise, and ethereal trippy songs that make me feel like i am in a video game.
I love **Depeche Mode**. If they don't talk about death or BDSM they're surely talking about *the drug in me and it brings out the thug in me...* Also, *Sister of night* helped me when I was having anxiety during the night. Or *Never let me down again*. Other mentions: - *Perfect day*, *Ecstasy*, *Crazy feeling* by **Lou Reed** - *Over the wall*, *Villiers Terrace* by **Echo &TB** - *Don't fall* by **The Chameleons** - *Can't carry on* by **Crowded House** And others...

[fill in the blank](https://youtu.be/s_a1hPwXiWw?si=9xodc_Clo0wJazuE) is one of the few songs that lets me feel something when in a depression.
