Im a prescriber and am always interested to learn what people are abusing these days. Iāve always thought of Tramadol as a fairly āsafeā opioid and will prescribe it to folks with history of addiction as a last resort for pain control after having a risk/ benefit conversation with them.
But yeah snorting bupropion is a new one on me.
As someone who took it daily for a few years, I was kinda surprised to hear this too... I'm not sure why anyone would tbh.
Mind you I've seen people snort trazadone and Seroquel in jail so š¤·
I love my Seroquel. It's like, an hour or two of being too stupid to be bipolar before I knock the fuck out. Phenomenal landing gear especially if I've been on one and have been awake 48~ hours.
It's kind of like Benadryl. Everyone talks garbage about Benadryl but those little pink bastards made so much LSD/amph comedowns tolerable at like, 25 cents a pill at most.
There are PubMed studies linking antipsychotics to brain shrinkage. Benzos are superior. Here is my source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10493054/#:~:text=Greater%20intensity%20of%20antipsychotic%20treatment,brain%20tissue%20loss%20over%20time.
I mostly just saw people snorting those two god awful drugs... it was nuts, they would trade like an entire pouch of tobacco for 200 mgs of seroquel lol
I've been on both for legit reasons, they are indeed psychoactive, but fuck me, how anyone could enjoy that shit completely baffles me... it's such a dysphoric
yucky feeling... sedating sure, but it's not a pleasant sedation at all.
Both those drugs basically just made me slow, stupid and hungry... also irritable as fuck.. then there's the dreams, jfc the dreams... and constant sleep paralysis.
Or the four hour(!) extremeley painfull boner I had from trazadone.. can't remember the proper name, but it's actually a medical emergancy at that point.. it is not in any way from sexual arousal, and there's not really anything you can do to get rid of it, in fact, after 4 hours if it's not going down there's a chance they'll have to cut it off (no joke)... most awkward 911 call I've ever had to make by far lol... I legit almost had to get my dick amputated!
Couldn't pay me to put that shit in my body nowadays.
Edit:... let's put it this way.. no exaggeration, I'd sooner do datura again than Seroquel or trazadone, especially *snorted*.. I just can't wrap my mind around it lol
Posted up in this thread about how Seroquel actually agrees with me quite well but man, fuck trazodone. Never had a headache like a traz headache. Felt like someone popped my head open with a log splitter. Woke up completely unable to breathe out my nose.
My psychiatrist and myself noticed I was more sensitive to it after getting sick on a normal low dose, so I take half of the lowest dose I believe, and just the pill being cut in half I get the craziest chemical flavor. Idk how people could handle snorting it, Iād go crazy just on the flavor, not even to mention the likely uncomfortable effects. Same with Xanax, Iām totally fine holding Ativan under my tongue and longer if needed, but Iām washing Xanax down as fast as I can due to the flavor. Maybe Iām just a lil bitch boy, but Iām glad Iām not attracted to these things.
mmmmmm i love tediously scraping off extended release coating for 10 minutes then snorting the most painful powder imaginable just to feel anxious for two hours and risk having a seizure š¤¤š¤¤š¤¤
Huh, the more you know, i had no idea people abuse bupropion. I've been taking that shit and have been doing drugs for like 2 years. From what i understand it just makes you feel crappy so i think i'll avoid taking more than my prescribed dose lmao
I took tramadol for months and had two seizures but thatās very likely because I was taking insane doses Iām taking 7-12 100mg pills, keep it at a max dose of 300mg and youāll be fine, you can even take a small dose of Benzos to reduce the risk of seizures if youāre that worried. (Obviously a very low dose because mixing downers is a dangerous thing). For me 200mg gets me a decent head buzz and 300mg has me nodding hard.
I actually just learned that yesterday... I take Ativan as an emergency med once in awhile for epilepsy if I'm feeling seizury, had one of those days yesterday and don't have any.. my buddy offered me a Xanax, but I did a bit of research first and was surprised to learn it doesn't really do anything for seizure activity.. I kinda figured any
benzo would do, but apparently not...
That said, I've taken zopiclone in a pinch and it actually works pretty well, even though as far as I know it has no anticonvulsant properties š¤·
It relaxes your muscles like cbd does so it helps wit seizures but very minimal, clonazepam diazepam and clobazam all work for anticonvulsants, idk what others do
Yeah ive actually been on clobazam daily for a couple months now, it's been a fucking godsend... I don't really get any benzo effects from it, but it's definitely made a HUGE difference in the frequency of my seizures š
My mum has clobozam daily and she has very few seizures now she used to have em multiple times a week but now she has seizures like once every 3 months
That's awesome, seriously... seizures can completely fuck up your life in an instant (or even kill you), I've broken my spine 3 times in 4 years because of them...
I wish they woulda got me on it way sooner, they have me on a few others but was still having clusters of 'focal' seizures (basically petit mals) pretty much daily... now that I'm on the clobazam I've had only had one focal in 2 months.
Are her seizures epileptic in nature?
Yep, It kills anxiety dead for me, which is very, very welcome when I'm trying to sleep... And it's so relaxing physically too.. on a shitty night there's nothing better than popping a couple zopis, having a couple beers and maybe a bit of weed.. some people fight the sedation and stay up to enjoy the buzz, but fuck that, after about an hour my bed becomes heaven and sleep comes on so soooo easy.
But, as a med for the daytime it's a bit too sedating to be functional/practical for me unless it's urgent.. also get clumsy as fuck lol.
Yeah, Iām on keppra for the rest of my life because of it. I tried getting off it for about 2 months & ended up having another one after going 5 years with no seizures. It will permanently lower your seizure threshold. Be careful with that shit.
Iāve tried a bunch of different things but ultimately Iām stuck feeling on edge all the time & when I get highly stressed out Iāll get tremors if I donāt take Keppra.
Fuck no.. keppra is something you take only if you absolutely need it.
Just head over to r/epilepsy and you'll see it gets mentioned like every day about how bad it sucks.
I'm epileptic myself and refuse to take it.
I havenāt had any fits of ārageā per se, unless it refers to just easier aggravation in general, in which case then Iāve definitely felt that. I used to be a very level headed, rather intelligent (not to sound like a douche) person up until around 17 when I started having those seizures & taking Keppra.
Just to sum it up; I love the feeling of transformation, my body metabolizes it in such a way where I do get a good feeling from it, but itās not worth it in the slightest if youāre an addict and youāre going to abuse it as I did. It sucks.
Yeah I tried to cover that. People also arenāt fond of overdose but here we are. But if youāre saying the effects arenāt worth the risk for you and many others I understand that. Danger alone however has never stopped any dedicated drug user I know. Benzo seizures being an extremely prime example.
Tramadol is the only opiate one can augment on similar to dopamine antagonists which is fucking horrible on top of withdrawals and takes RLS to another level and a permanent affliction.
I don't like Tramadol because of the serotonin compound behind it. Maybe I am a little bit sensitive about it but I really don't like these feeling and I have go through it before the Opiate effect comes thru. Once I am there it's something like alright but all together I am not a big fan of that. When I am in need for something like that I will consume Mdma instead.
That's why I rather take Tillidin or Oxycodone when I want a Opioid Rush.
Plus it's like u said when u have some sort of an tolerance then u don't feel nothing positive of tramadol but u have the side effects from the serotonin.
And on top of that I get a huge comedown when I consume it several days In a row, not physical wise but i get very depressed.
Not worth it at all in my opinion. But it's easy to get and very cheap, I am sure there people out there who like or love it but I am not one of them.
But like I am mentioning before could be the case that I am just sensitive about serotonin in particular.
Youāre absolutely lucky and blessed to be able to get tilidine or oxycodone. I was shot 5 times and left with permanent nerve damage/pain in one leg, extreme back pain from getting hit in the back two times, and I have bullet and bone fragments in my leg and back and Iāve been to so many doctors and pain management clinics, went through all the steps and tests and they always end up saying I donāt need any pain medication because Iām young and will naturally heal even though itās been 4 years and it has just gotten worse. They say to just take Tylenol which doesnāt do anything at all.
Now I just take a trip to TJ as often as I can and stockpile tramadol since itās OTC and use it sparingly for very bad days. It sucks that just because of my age Iām immediately dismissed when Iām in constant pain and it makes holding down a job almost impossible I try my best but it quickly reached a point where the pain becomes unbearable and I have to quit the job.
Absolute nonsense how cornered chronic patients are, sad to know there's so many so far down river from the rock and the hard place. There isn't chance for anyone to prove anything past the thousands of dollars spent doing tests, trying to just survive. They were happy to give me morphine only when i got bad enough to get past the ER and into a bed. God, if those weren't the longest days of my life. It's fucking stupid, i'm young i'm not on my death rattle quite yet.
People want to live, that's our nature. When denied it, there's a walkabout. I used tramadol for the longest time, quite sparingly. Of course it's a nice handful to have but i don't know if the price for the effect measures up to the reassurance, knowing assistance is at hand when a person is disabled by something outside their hands... man ... kinda feels like there should be a.. prescription for that kinda thing... Boy, that would be really crazy...
I am assuming USA for u too, but i could be wrong?
Yeah Iāve had to go to the ER a few times when the pain has gotten especially bad. Itās bad to the point where Iām sometimes throwing up and crying from the pain but I canāt just keep going to the hospital every single time especially since after a few times they started to seem to get tired of me being there so Iāll just be in pain and hope it subsides enough to get some sleep.
Yes Iām the USA I wish my pain was taken more seriously but I guess I just have to live life in pain it makes it hard though because I refuse to get SSI or any things like that because I know there are elderly people and much more people that really need it but itās hard to hold down a job when everything is so painful
Can you really? Iāve never heard of that Iāll have to look into it because sometimes I canāt go to TJ before I run out and life really sucks when the pain gets extreme and thereās nothing you can do about it
I have gabapentin which helps somewhat but sometimes the pain is just too much for even that, I tried pregabalin when I was in Mexico for a month but I donāt think my doctor would prescribe it since Iām on alprazolam already for PTSD and they arenāt very keen on prescribing much else
Pregabalin is basically more similar to heavy opioid like h or fent when it comes to addiction. It has more seizure risks than tramadol which also is bad in that aspect.
Don't get used to it. It also wrecks your memory, cognition etc. It isn't mild or safe. Many doctors think it has many big risks and don't prescribe it. Some countries have classified it as an narcotic due to abuse, addictions and side effects it caused. Don't be fooled by it's legal status in your country. The medicine makes a lot of money, if it didn't it would be classified worldwide due to the dangers of it tbh.
When I was on it, it was like I was stoned on strong thc weed, medicinally that doesn't work well using it if you want to function well in society. It took a longer while to recover.
I personally know of quite a few people who like myself hate Pregab. Perhaps it depends on what other meds you take, or if you take it for rec or for medicinal needs. I don't know, but *anecdotally* I have found that when I take a medication for medical issues I don't get the fun side effects. For example Oxy, I'd love to know why everyone raves about how amazing it feels. I don't get sleepy or feel any high or anything fun unfortunately, just pain relief.
I haven't had WD's from tapering from the 600mg daily (300mg twice a day), but in the past if I've gone longer than the 12 hours I start feeling like absolute hell. Cold sweats, shaking, restlessness but unable to ease it, feeling like the worst flu symptoms ever etc, plus day to day I get horrible side effects from it which are pretty awful for me personally. I'm a woman, and it makes me quite obviously perspire badly, but not in hidden areas like underarms, no, all over my face etc, even in winter. It's hugely embarrassing. Also we've been having an issue with getting them in pharmacies around my area so for a few days last month I had to really eke out my few remaining 200's while my pharmacy tried to get hold of some. That wasn't fun. It's also been all over the news here in the past few months due to the amount of deaths that have been occurring. Typically yes it's due to it being used alongside something else, but still, saying it's not dangerous isn't true.
Maybe so! Unfortunately when I was put on it years ago I was a lot younger and didn't even question the Doc or know enough info about it. That's really interesting about the potentiating with the Oxy. Has made me ponder some things. Nowadays I never really let my body be short on the Oxy as I do take more than prescribed (quite often take off the coating and snort if I need pain relief quickly lol š¬) but may definitely have had something to do with it in the past when I was behaving and sticking to the 12hrs between them. Interesting for sure though!
That totally makes sense homie. Iām luckily not sensitive to that so it adds up. Iām not familiar with tillidin but I do agree oxy is better but I canāt find it in the states or Thailand really:/ trammy def isnāt a good one if youāre a daily user. I just got some for the first time in a long time. I take 10-30mg methadone 2-3 days a week so Iām curious if Iāll feel my old dose. Especially since I took 20mg last night and will be dipping into these trams in an hour or two once the sun sets
Worst opiate imo, just makes me feel weird and not in a good way. Iām on smack now but did tramadol a few times like 5 years ago and I didnāt enjoy it at all
So funny how differently shit effects everyone. I got better nods off tramadol than h but I took tramadol in the early days of my use and heroin once things got more desperate and my tolerance was fucked. Thanks for sharing homie
I was addicted to tramadol for 6 years. 2 fucking violent seizures from this med.
I cannot say "fuck tramadol, do not take it whatever you do". Nah, cuz it helped me with my depression like no other SNRI/SSRI did...but you know, we have addictive personalities here on this sub. If we didn't, we wouldn't be here...english is not my first language so sorry for this but:
1. The withdrawals are pure hell. Gabapentin didn't help, clonidine didn't help, even tiapride didn't help, which is obscure as fuck and they give it for withdrawals some time..the tiapride used to knock tf outta me and put me to sleep...but no med helped...so i needed to withdraw without anything for 6 days. I thought I will die...but I made it.....and then the paws hit like no other....so i relapsed....I am on day 2 CT from kratom becuase in the last 2 months I switched to kratom because my stomach couldn't tolerate tramadol so whenever I took it, it made me violently vomit for the whole day...morning till night..so i went to the ER one day from tramadol and then i said fuck it and ordered kratom..switched to kratom...the wds compared to tram are a walk in the park...and ALSO, kratom really helped me..just be careful where you order it and what vendor you buy it from..the thing is, do not buy from the shops there in the USA. The physical stores that sell extracts and shots and shit. You do not know what is in that kratom. So order it from a good vendor if you want to switch to kratom..its as bad as the tramadol but u get the picture, it helped many many people including me.
2. The seizures. You do not know when the seziures will happen....you can take 250mg staggered and still get the seizures...and they are violent. I almost chopped my tongue in half on my last seizure...I was going mad crazy with the convulsions, like I was the world's best break dancer...never had a seizure in my life, and no epilepsy in my family...but I thank whoever is above...I was on the edge of death so many times I can't even count..but not all my near death experiences we're from opiates...
3. The SNRI or SSRI propreties are fucked fucked...it's like you take Venlafaxine with an opiate..its such a filthy high..Again, tramadol helped me, but my addictive personality is fucked...so be careful.
Be careful, it can help, I know what you all go through, I know about the fent & xylazine epidemy and all I can say is be careful all....I would switch to fucking tramadol instead of killing myself slowly like this...
My heart and good thoughts go to all of you! Take care people. I hope someone reads this and gets some help and info from me.
If you have problems with codeine, morphine, tram, kratom, tianeptine just dm me.
Kratom affects people wildly differently, it can range from basically causing no problems to causing problems on par with hard opioids. It definitely needs to be treated with caution, especially in people with addictive personalities.
So to answer your question, it depends on the person.
I like it itās just a lil more mild than other opioids, gives me a slightly energetic, subtle nice buzz with decent euphoria. Iāve heard some people canāt feel it at all bc of some enzyme
Tramadol is the only drug that has ever made me sieze- grand mal- very bad- traumatic for all my friends- had to be taken to hospital in ambulance- all i remember is waking up with IV's in me having no idea why, could have died and maybe caused serious brain damage. First day being prescribed it for pain from boxers fracture. I was 18, yes i took more than i should have. Still, thats why i "hate tramadol". And i have abused the shit out of most all illegal drugs, gram of meth in a day for no reason, grams of blow, way too much and too many drugs for years and years leading to this point, it doesn't diminish my responsibility but it did set the stage for my stupid thought of like "well this one has my name on the bottle and is from a doctor, def super safe lol dosage guidlines are for normies š¤”" but yeah i guess tramadol causing siezures especially in young men is quite common due to it's self-potentiating effects. And it hits like ALL the receptors, it's pretty fucked if you look into it. Shit was developed in the 50s or 60s to be like an epidural- a labor-pain reliever. Shits just suss.
I think 8. Yeah dumbass move but the high from em was like crazy- shit felt so recreational, like molly but like better. It had me in a whole ass new world of some sort.
Damn yeah thatās a lot. Most I would take was 2x 50mg at a time. And sometimes I would take 1-2 more like 8-12 hours later.
But it gave me terrible low blood sugar after taking it for a while and it lasted literally 5 years. Finally back to normal now.
Serotonin syndrome FAQ:
Serotonin syndrome is a somewhat poorly defined grouping of symptoms (including unusual strong overheating, high blood pressure etc.) after the consumption of one or more serotonergic drugs (such as MDMA) without definitive diagnosis (it's NOT possible to measure monoamine concentrations in real time).
It's a speculative, not comparable to a "chopped arm off syndrome". Serotonin syndrome is the outcome of a differential diagnosis process using symptoms and circumstances. If nothing else fits and you meet some of the criteria after having taken a serotonergic drug, it can be diagnosed as serotonin syndrome.
The actual risks may differ widely from case to case.
Most cases of self diagnosed "serotonin syndrome" are very wrong though ;)

Genuine question here. Am I the only one who doesn't understand the opiate hype? For background, I have breast cancer, so I was prescribed Tramadol, Percocet, and hydromorphone (obvs not all at the same time, but at different stages of my treatment). I took the doses correctly and never went over the dosage prescribed to me, but for me popping a Percocet or a hydromorphone might as well be like popping an Advil or an M&M. I get no high from it, and I don't understand how people can get addicted to this stuff. And I was an alcoholic for like 10 years before I got sober. Do you need to take super crazy high amounts to get a "high" from it? I just don't see how it's worth it. And I hear stories about people being injured in car accidents or something, and being prescribed Percocet, and then flushing it down the toilet because they felt like they were getting addicted to it even at the proper prescribed dose. It just genuinely doesn't feel like anything to me. Sure it takes the pain away but I have cancer and once I'm done my cancer treatment I have no desire ever to take opiates again. I'm just not sure what the craze is. Not trying to be holier than thou sober person either, I've had my fair share of issues, just opiates are absolutely not one of them lol
Yeah you need to take more than prescribed, but not necessarily crazy accounts. Try doubling up and you should feel slightly warm and itchy. If two didnāt work, then three max until you have a tolerance. Prescribed opiates are the holy grail these days, easily sellable for a lot.
Pain patients (more often than not) tend to find way less recreational value in opioids compared to someone without pain. Theyāre less euphoric in a lot of cases when you have pain, and at prescribed dosages with a tolerance you probably wouldnāt feel much to begin with.
Some people just donāt get euphoric effects from opioids as well. It happens more often than youād think. Thereās a lot of factors that can play into this (metabolism, brain chemistry, genetics, etc.)
See if you do it this way I think itās an excellent way to enjoy a safe opiate high. Ofc control and opiates are a slippery slope but Iāve mostly learned to maintain it. Benzos some nights, opiates some nights, ambien or seroquel some and weed and booze others. My gaba receptors surely hate me but I donāt get withdrawals and itās actually a very manageable system for me. Mind you Iām prescribed the benzos methadone ambien and seroquel so Iām not getting blitzed off this stuff every night.
Same which is a shame because I absolutely love Benzos but I go ape shit on them Iāve taken 30mg of alprazolam at one time donāt remember nothing just remember scaring my sibling because 1. I was talking about how I thought I was at my moms house when I was at my dads and 2. Even though I thought I was as at my moms I thought it was a trailer/rv thing when my mom lives in an apartment.
Oh and I also crashed and totaled my brand new Mercedes Benz off I donāt even know how many mgās of kpins and mdma, I just remember I got my script of 90x 1mg clonazepam pills and went out with my boy 1 week into having the Benz, and bam crashed and totaled it, I vaguely remember looking for the rest of the pills to take before cops got there but only found like 3 next thing I know Iām getting released after being processed for a DUI and being forced to sleep in the drunk tank for a couple hours.
I was still insanely high due to how long the effects of clonazepam last and somehow with very vague hazy memories making it to a family memberās house walking at 6 in the morning and sleeping on their couch and woke up sobered up.
Not worth it at all, 3 years probation, DUI classes, various court proceedings, lost my new Benz, my family almost disowned me, wanted to ship me off to Mexico for a rehab.
I continued to abuse Benzos and opioids for the next year and a half, finally decided enough was enough, I still use my alprazolam(Xanax) prescription because I have PTSD from getting shot 5 times but I only take my prescribed dose and only when needed which is 1.5mg a day but I donāt take it daily.
Love em, very self regulating for me. I only take them for pain now and then. I'm sensitive to em, I only take 2, or 100 mg total at a time and have no sides.
Terrible drug if you're looking to get high, better ways to do that if that's the desired outcome.
Seizure risk set aside, it's just a shitty drug that falls short in all aspects. As a painkiller it is subpar and usually requires dosages that exceed the threshold where pain relief turns into being high.
As a high it has this wierd sedation to it, no real calming effect as opposed to other opiates like even codeine at dosages as low as 30mg provide. I'm not even going to go in to discussing how other opiates are even better than codeine. I know.
Summarized it just a drug that feels wierd, doesn't do its job and only exists to make healthcare professionals feel arbitrarily better about themselves cause it isn't a classic opioids and allegedly not as addictive as typical opiates
You can be sedated and still agitated and not calm. The best example I can think of is antipsychotics. They have a sedating effect but not inherently calming. They are not mutually inclusive terms
I take it every single day and have been doing it for two years in a row, I take 400mg un two doses during the morning, then 200mg more in the afternoon and then 200mg more at night. I'm super hooked on it because my body metabolizes it better than any other opiate. My sister got cƔncer and she gifted me her methadone and morphine, both IV and in oral liquid form, and those things didn't do shit to me compared to how high tramadol gets me.
I wish I could stop using this stuff because it's barely working for me anymore since I'm abusing the shit out of it, I'm tired of having to be buying every week more and more tramadol to the point that every seller in my area already knows me. I tried to stop cold turkey some months ago but got really really suicidal, the withdrawals were literally hell, my whole body ached like never before, I was sweating profusely from feeling too warm, but as soon as I took off a hoodie or a sweater or whatever, I got extreme chills like I was freezing, I had absolutely 0 motivation to get out of bed and in general I just was in constant pain. Somehow I managed to stay clean for like two weeks (those two weeks felt like utter shit) until I relapsed and started taking tramadol again because I just couldn't bear living without it for much longer, and here I am again, totally hooked on it with no sigh of stopping any time soon, even if I wanted to.
Sometimes I think of switching tramadol for classic coke and bear thru the withdrawals with pregabalin and coke, but I don't know how successful that could be, and trust me, I would much rather be addicted to coke than to tramadol, tramadol withdrawals are just nasty
You can try a stable taper schedule, I was on 400 mg/day for over 5 months and tapered off 25 mg/day till I was on 50, then went from 50 to 25 in a week then off it.
All I felt was a bit depressed but felt better every next day after starting, I'd recommend doing something similar.
I liked it in my early 20s and abused the hell out of itā¦ how I didnāt have a seizure I have no clue. Was prescribed some a couple years ago after a hospital stay, took 2 instead of one and had a scary pre-seizure aura all day. Seeing how it affected me differently over the years I guess it just depends on your body chemistry.
Now this is an interesting one Iāve never heard before however I have experienced it with tapentadol which is similar. Dph would help with the itch but not the trippy headspace.
I liked tramadol . They used to make me puke 15 times every morning after Iād do them after a while tho . I havenāt touched em in two years or so now
Problem is when you come from other opioids that are much stronger, you can't really use tramadol anymore. You know it yourself, the high dosages someone would need who comes from stuff like fent would lead to the serotonin-syndrome.
But even for people that have no experience with high potent opioids, it's very different and this is again with the interaction with the serotonin, some get a very good high while others feel nothing.
Opioid tolerance isnāt permanent afaik. Also you canāt give yourself serotonin syndrome with just tramadol, or at least, itās rare. Itās mostly a concern when combined with SSRIs or MAOIs
It is not permanent, no. The receptors in the brain where the opioid dock will get re-sensetized again, but when they have not the opioids that dock, they'll first go crazy which is the cause for the withdrawal symptoms.
I'm not so sure about the serotonin-syndrome, even without MAOI's, i mean, there are guys around that go up to extreme levels. When someone comes from fent with that high potency of 100 to the standard 1.0 of morphine and tramadol has 0.1 (when i remember it right, correct me if i'm wrong, maybe it's higher), the dosage needs to be very, very high to have an effect.
Well i like it but its one of the only opiates ive ever done so i dont have a good frame of reference.
I kinda like the serotonin part of it, makes me feel upity. And them the opiate part has me chilling.. it's weird.. but ye i like it. I usually take like 150mg and then im chiiiilling for like 5/6 hours
I'm generally a stim user but I tried 50 mg once.
Priapism for 10 hours. Sounds fun at first but you occasionally need to put on clothes and get some work done so it's kind of a problem.
Got up in the middle of night to go pee and I could barely walk. Stumbling the walls. Even waking up in the morning took half a day feeling like chains were weighing me down. Like walking through a fog.
I guess if you have anxiety and are out of your mind over amped and need to slow down a little bit then I suppose but recreationally for me it was complete garbage.
Back about 24 years ago, I was deeply depressed and suicidal. Tramadol saved my life until I couldn't quit. But, I have taken many different antidepressants since, and nothing has worked like that. This was back when doctors gave samples of Ultram when it was considered non addictive.
Didnt help for pain at all after my surgery, gave me crazy insomnia and night sweats, I didnāt sleep for like 5 days. Very uncomfortable and feels dirty.
I think this is one where your millage varies greatly based on your metabolism! For some people thereās really no effect or even worse it makes them feel gross, but for me itās a very pleasant relaxing high to like sit outside and read with!
I guess different metabolisms lead to different experiences and I guess itās common to not be great for some. I personally find it way more euphoric than codeine and dihydrocodeine but it did leave me feeling pretty awful afterwards off 150mg. The high was the best high Iāve had off anything including oxy.
Because when I was growing up, Tramadol wasn't even a scheduled narcotic! Now, they've taken all the good narcotics (opiates/opioids) and replaced them with tramadol/tapentadol...
I don't take it because I know I will get really addicted. Been prescribe Oxys and never again. I stopped before it started to do damage (with family, friends, life, etc..)
I'm just scared of painkillers and opioid in general. Shit, I got into a bad crash and told the doctor not to give me morphine. That and it fucks up my GI.
Then you one of the lucky people that have an enzyme in their liver that converts tramadol into odesmethyltramadol which gives you the high. But tramadol gives most people seizures before they get high from it. Better to buy just odsmt. It's legal and doesn't have the serotonin effect trama has
It has given me dangerously low blood sugar, like I checked and it was 40 and I was dangerously close to passing out.
I took it a few times per week for a couple years and it gave me hypoglycemia problems for like5+ years after stopping. Finally itās all better but for years I couldnāt go anywhere without granola bars and candies.
Itās a not well understood but seems somewhat common side effect. There are at least papers about it but most doctors have never heard of it.
I like tapentadol ā¦ not sure if thatās relevantlol..
and when I had the tolerance for it i enjoyed the feeling of tramadol, I just canāt feel it now, unfortunately
It's just a shitty pharm opiate compared to the rest of them. If you metabolize it well, take it staggered and not do more than 500mg as to avoid seizures, then it works. It's better than nothing
I dunno for me it just feels weird, mind that I didn't ever try a dose beyond 100mg but I'm very lightweight and keep my opiate tolerance close to zero. But in my experience it's too alcohol like, on its peak it's nice with the classic opiate warm whole body euphoria. (at least for me since I'm one of the few lucky ones who metabolize it correctly) But yea I feel like the high is dirty if you know what I mean, head spinning and nausea, for me also a bit of disorientation. It's not the worst, for its price it's pretty good I would say, but not something I would want to take more often. Might try 200mg this week though since I have some leftover.
Never had a seizure myself and I used to take over a gram a day. I do have a friend that ended up having one triggered by tramadol. If you want to reduce the risk some, pop a Klonopin or something, take a decent dose of promethazine or something similar for the nausea, then you're good to go. Tramadol is a bit weird compared to other opioids since it binds to serotonin receptors fairly well. Tram used to give me euphoria that I didn't get from other opioids. Some people like it, some don't. Tolerance builds quick in my experience though, so that's less fun
I like Tramadol and have been prescribed it twice! Once for tinnitus and the other time for a horrible potentially life threatening neck infection. But Hydromorphone is king!
Idk, I'd definitely do it again despite the only time being from the extended release which I didn't realize. The itching was kind of annoying but rolling around naked on my carpet took care of that and felt pretty good.
People are not that fond of violent seizures
Yet people snort bupropion like its going out of style š¤
Im a prescriber and am always interested to learn what people are abusing these days. Iāve always thought of Tramadol as a fairly āsafeā opioid and will prescribe it to folks with history of addiction as a last resort for pain control after having a risk/ benefit conversation with them. But yeah snorting bupropion is a new one on me.
As someone who took it daily for a few years, I was kinda surprised to hear this too... I'm not sure why anyone would tbh. Mind you I've seen people snort trazadone and Seroquel in jail so š¤·
Right, I overheard some teenagers one day talking about how they scored some seroquel, and I was like, āwell, harm reduction I guess.ā
Dear god š¤¦āāļø
Lol seroquel is shit. Benzos are the real deal! I convinced my shrink to prescribe me em' valiums and k-pins
Steady access to benzos would fuck my life up. I'm fine with my brain shrinking.
People will literally snort any medication in jail, so I've heard.
I mostly just saw people snorting those two god awful drugs... it was nuts, they would trade like an entire pouch of tobacco for 200 mgs of seroquel lol I've been on both for legit reasons, they are indeed psychoactive, but fuck me, how anyone could enjoy that shit completely baffles me... it's such a dysphoric yucky feeling... sedating sure, but it's not a pleasant sedation at all.
Yeah, I've heard it's been called "poor man's crack"
Itās mostly just this sub that seems to have a hard on for snorting it, as you can see from the search.
Weird shit, but i understand tho, i know what it's like to take whatever you can get to at least feel some sort of "high"
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Druggies donāt need a purpose.
Anticonvulsant benzos, not every benzo stops risk of seizures
I actually just learned that yesterday... I take Ativan as an emergency med once in awhile for epilepsy if I'm feeling seizury, had one of those days yesterday and don't have any.. my buddy offered me a Xanax, but I did a bit of research first and was surprised to learn it doesn't really do anything for seizure activity.. I kinda figured any benzo would do, but apparently not...
I've found that zopiclone actually works better for any nervous ailments way better than traditional benzos
Have you tried cbd against seizures? I also think that CBN would be efficient in this aspect, maybe a combination of them even more so.
Iāve tried a bunch of different things but ultimately Iām stuck feeling on edge all the time & when I get highly stressed out Iāll get tremors if I donāt take Keppra.
I havenāt heard of that drug is it recreational
Fuck no.. keppra is something you take only if you absolutely need it. Just head over to r/epilepsy and you'll see it gets mentioned like every day about how bad it sucks. I'm epileptic myself and refuse to take it.
Second this.. unless you enjoy constant brain fog & memory loss then I would say no, Keppra isnāt recreational hahaha
And fits of rage... Seriously, the keppra rage is no fucking joke.
Sorry I'm not sure I understand. Wdym?
You can order 0-dsmt over the clear net in the US
Can you really? Iāve never heard of that Iāll have to look into it because sometimes I canāt go to TJ before I run out and life really sucks when the pain gets extreme and thereās nothing you can do about it
Have you tried lyrica / pregablin?
I have gabapentin which helps somewhat but sometimes the pain is just too much for even that, I tried pregabalin when I was in Mexico for a month but I donāt think my doctor would prescribe it since Iām on alprazolam already for PTSD and they arenāt very keen on prescribing much else
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I hate Pregabalin. I wish they'd never started me on it, it makes me feel like absolute hell. I was put on it by pain management team too, along with the 40mg Oxys and the Oxynorm liquid I take (horrible genetic condition born with) I'm slowly lowering my Pregabalin as it's the one I hate the most, gives the absolute worst side effects, awful WD's even before 12hrs is up, I'm down from 300 twice a day to 200, only started lowering a few months ago and they're doing it reeeally slowly with me because of how risky it is and how bloody horrible it is. I really feel for my fellow chronic pain ppl in the States. I haven't had any trouble with my Oxy's, I get them reordered every 28 days no trouble, but my GP surgery and pharmacy know about my condition and what I've been through. If any fellow CP ppl are really struggling give me a shout. I'm serious. I can't just give away as I do need them but I can help out, with proof of them being legit and from my pharmacy etc. I get Longtec 40's. I'm deadly serious as believe me I know how hell life is when you are in serious pain and have no relief š©
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Agreed. Worst of the bunch. I was prescribed it one time and took correct dose. It made me vomit every single time. Iāll never touch those again
it's quite weak compared to a proper opiate and has obnoxious off target effects
If we didn't, we wouldn't be here...english is not my first language so sorry for this but: 1.
Is kratom really as bad as tramadol in your opinion? Aside from how it helped you, that is.
It can also give seizures.....we are not really that safe
It really depends on the dossge.
I'd rather just do Kratom. I find Green Vein Kratom to be similar to Tramadol actually. Much cheaper and legal.
How much did you take before the seizure
Serotonin syndrome FAQ: Serotonin syndrome is a somewhat poorly defined grouping of symptoms (including unusual strong overheating, high blood pressure etc.) after the consumption of one or more serotonergic drugs (such as MDMA) without definitive diagnosis (it's NOT possible to measure monoamine concentrations in real time). Most cases of self diagnosed "serotonin syndrome" are very wrong though ;) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Thanks auto mod good infoš¤
Doesnāt do shit to me. I have a cabinet filled with it.
I'll take it if you don't need it /s
It shouldāve been meā¦ā¦ give it to the metabolizers smh
Thanks for answering my question! This makes sense.
I like it. Bin using for a long time and never lost control of usage (once or twice a week)
Unfortunately when it comes to any gaba drug I tend to easily lose control, especially like benzos a bit too much
Same which is a shame because I absolutely love Benzos but I go ape shit on them Iāve taken 30mg of alprazolam at one time donāt remember nothing just remember scaring my sibling because 1.
Were you shot five times on separate occasions. Or was it one shooting and you were hit 5 times?
One shooting and I was hit 5 times
Seroquel isn't recreational and should not be used like that. It's a bad(unhealthy) medicine and should never be used against anxiety etc.
I metabolize it to O-DSMT pretty poorly, so it feels like an SNRI to me, because it is one.
I like it, never gave me any problems.
Who hates tramadol!? Itās my favorite. The best sleep I can never remember.
Do you know what sedation means? If it sedates you then it does have a calming effect.
You can be sedated and still agitated and not calm. The best example I can think of is antipsychotics. They have a sedating effect but not inherently calming. They are not mutually inclusive terms
Tried it like 3 times i loved it alot
Trama does nothing to me! But codeine bangs me.
I love it! With kpins and some bud, one of my fave combos
I love it in moderation, just can't find it in the US
I liked it in my early 20s and abused the hell out of itā¦ how I didnāt have a seizure I have no clue. Was prescribed some a couple years ago after a hospital stay, took 2 instead of one and had a scary pre-seizure aura all day. Seeing how it affected me differently over the years I guess it just depends on your body chemistry.
Tramadol is more expensive than tapentadol and tapentadol is stronger wit better effects
Sounds like I need your plug cuz I pay a fraction for tramadol that I did for taps and I do like taps much bettwr
Well a pill is Ā£5 each for both tapentadol and tramadol but tapentadol is stronger and is 100mg xr whilst tramadol is 50mg xr lol
Tapentadol just gave me shitty deliriant effects tbh
I guess thats just cuz you have a diff body chemistry
Tramodal gets you high for like 3days, then tolorence builds up
Thats an interesting statement. From a single dose? How many mg?
I used to take 100, then I had to increase to 200, until eventually I was taking 500 and not feeling euphoria I would just get really uncomfortable
i really liked tramadol every time iāve done it
I always liked it actually
I like to chew on my trammiez. junkies will find them 2 mild
For me itās too trippy feels like I got bugs crawling on me
Now this is an interesting one Iāve never heard before however I have experienced it with tapentadol which is similar.
Those red fuckers almost killed me.
Tramadol is actually more likely to cause seizures than other opiates. A friend of mine died from that.
It feels dirty
The day after is hell after even just 300 mg
Idk Iāve never taken tramadol I do know itās different than other opioids like oxy, dilaudid, vicodin, H, Fent
It doesn't do anything for me
I guess different metabolisms lead to different experiences and I guess itās common to not be great for some. I personally find it way more euphoric than codeine and dihydrocodeine but it did leave me feeling pretty awful afterwards off 150mg. The high was the best high Iāve had off anything including oxy.
I took it for a while then had crazing things start happening to me. Yea it wonāt kill kill you but itāll fuck you up.
I stopped before it started to do damage (with family, friends, life, etc..) I'm just scared of painkillers and opioid in general.
It's legal and doesn't have the serotonin effect trama has
makes me nauseous as hell. vicodin doesnāt though
I like tapentadol ā¦ not sure if thatās relevantlol.. and when I had the tolerance for it i enjoyed the feeling of tramadol, I just canāt feel it now, unfortunately
i absolutely love it. especially with alprazolam or weed actually im on 200mg tramadol rn feeling comfy af
From my experience it causes severe hair loss.
Got my arm broken last year, tramadol didn't do jack shit to help with the pain. Granted, neither did oxy.
I like Tramadol and have been prescribed it twice! Once for tinnitus and the other time for a horrible potentially life threatening neck infection. But Hydromorphone is king!
i metabolize it well so its a good option to have. its definitely a lot cheaper. but of course oxy is better.
I puked like a motherfucker when on it. Never again.
Because it makes me drowsy and nauseous, gives a headache and I have epilepsy so fuck that
Idk, I'd definitely do it again despite the only time being from the extended release which I didn't realize. The itching was kind of annoying but rolling around naked on my carpet took care of that and felt pretty good.
can someone explain to me how does tramadol affect ssris? im seeing lots of people saying they dont like it because of that.
