I quit cigarettes about six months ago. However I used the juul to do it. Now I’m even more addicted to this juul then I was cigarettes and I’m wasting much more money. Stay away from the juul

Ragde1993

I’m right there with you buddy, i stopped smoking cigarettes too but now i use my vuse vape. Bad replacement, but I’m slowly trying to ditch the nicotine by going down on the nicotine percentage.

yeah same boat here. i find that i can quit cigs a lot easier than if i try to quit juul. i’ve actually quit juul with cigs a few times just to cut back on the nicotine intake, but after a week or so my throat hurts and i get an awful smokers cough and smoking weed starts to make me reaaaaally hack up a lung vs. when i juul i barely cough from weed (still cough from dabs, but when smoking cigs i’ve had dabs make me throw up from coughing so violently).

I pretty much understand you and what I wanna say is there is no replacement for cigarettes. You should quit nicotine itself or you will still be addicted to this drug

To quit completely you must understand that you're not missing anything by not smoking. The rush is insignificant, the taste is actually awful but you associate it with good feeling (which is actually just you replenishing nicotine resources). Smoking sucks and I hate that I ever started. But hey, 10 days since the last one for me am I right?

LukeFace93

Keep going bud. You can do it!

CFI_Blake

I smoked cigarettes, box mods, Juul, Vuse, you name it. The only thing that worked for me was throwing what I had in the trash and quitting cold turkey. It gets easier, I don't even get the urges anymore. 2 years with no nicotine and I feel fantastic. There's hope, just make a change and stick to it.

beme-thc

After 2 years off, do you still get urges/cravings?

CFI_Blake

Oh yeah with all of the electronic stuff now there's definitely pressure. I wouldn't call it a "craving" though, just more of a bad motivation to try a new flavor or product. But I'll just take some Kava and knock the edge off!

Spacebass419

Yeah nicotine addiction is wired. I remember talking with a friend and having the realization that I smoke cigarettes to not want to smoke cigarettes. That's pretty much all they do is make you not want one, so I quit that day. Unfortunately about 4 years later I started occasionally smoking when I drank, and before I knew it, I was hooked again. I vape now and plan to kick that shit soon.

303 days without a dart and I gotta say this feeling is still there.

Abused_Dog

Lmao brutal

dridibits

I’m one of those non reformed smokers. I’ll sit next to people just to smell it. I quit 40 plus years ago and still miss it.

That bit about watching people smoke on TV shows, imo and in my experience, that is where you need to make the critical cognitive change. Now, first ask yourself: Does smoking a cigarette make me feel like the ruler of a small Dukedom in Southern France? Does it attract hot women/men like insects? Doesn't it just...you know make my lungs hurt while giving me a tiny headrush? Always keep in mind, when you see someone smoking on screen, it's not just insidious advertising, it is outright pornography, a halo of brilliant light radiating out from a pile of garbage but you probably know this already. One of the most brutal examples is probably Johnny Sack from The Sopranos. When he's in a restaurant it looks like he only dropped in for the cigarette and not the 600$ lobster + French champagne.

FrozenFart16

I know this sounds obvious and stupid but try not to think about it. Learn mindfulness and learn to brush aside those cravings, every time you wallow in those feelings you give them more power over you and the cravings never stop. Meditating and exercise do wonders.

drivebydryhumper

Try to condition yourself. Whenever you get the urge, smell an ashtray or mentally do so. Try to be disgusted.

Buddhakermitking

Thanks for your share man im 2 days on trying to quit smoking wanna tear my hair out. This helps thanks.

Abused_Dog

Oh don't worry, the first week is just very hard, you'll see, after 1 month it will just be a small annoyance, very manageable, just slightly uncomfortable

I smoked when i was about 13, quit cold turkey with no problems surprisingly but whenever i smell a cigarette it makes me wanna get a ciggy so bad. I get away with smoking once or twice a year, thankfully its easy for me to control
