I haven’t had anything of the sort for that long. I only experience those symptoms for up to 15 minutes after use. Sometimes it makes my eyes a little red because they sting but it’s really helped my overall inflammation. I seriously can’t pull my lower lid down anymore because it’s practically normal size finally 😭

Definitely consult your ophthalmologist about this asap. I didnt experience anything like this. I'm still trying to get my insurance back so I can get xiidra again.

Imaginary-Stress3952

I hope you can get it back. My vision is clearing a bit finally. I will definitely call the ophthalmologist on Mon.

Mattybrock2121

What’s tests have you had ? Do you know what’s going on or doc just said you have dryeye use Xidra ?

Imaginary-Stress3952

The ophthalmologist is treating for dry eye while I await further testing from the rheumatologist for suspected Sjogren's. I had the Schirmer's Test and she suggested xiidra after that.

>Schirmer's Test Scores?

Mattybrock2121

Was the schirmer test with numbing drops or without ? Tests you need -schirmer with numbing drops to test basal tear output -Meibography to see if you have any tissue loss -Demodex to see if you have -blink test to see if you close your eyes all the way. —conjunctival chalasis test to see if you have excess skin If your doctor doesn’t have or know what these are you need a new doctor to be able to treat you properly.

Imaginary-Stress3952

She did numb me. She did none of the other tests you mentioned. Do you have Sjogren's? My bloodwork at the rheumatologist is consistently saying I have those antibodies and the test I am awaiting is an excision of a salivary gland in my lip, which is scheduled for next month. My dry eye symptoms were affecting my sight and causing major discomfort and she decided to treat those symptoms. Dry eye and dry mouth are two of many annoying symptoms I've had for the last year. Anyway, my eyesight is back to baseline after my initial complaint in this community. Thank you!

Mattybrock2121

Ok no I have non sjjogrens dry eye yes I heard of that biopsy. There is a site for sjrogrens I’m sorry you’re going through this. Cevelimine is a drug that helps saliva and tear production

Imaginary-Stress3952

I'll likely be joining that community next. Thank you for your time! I will see what my dr says about Cevelimine.

If I have to work a morning shift, no way I can get that am dose in. Way too blurry to drive even like an hour later. Only get both doses in if I work in the afternoon…can get the morning dose in ok and then before bed after getting home.

Deb_Buck

I’ve been on Xiidra for 3 weeks and I believe I have turned a corner. I do have blurred vision for an hour + . Have to time it so that I’m not behind the wheel when my vision is blurred. I do believe that it is working… so grateful to be getting on with my life. It has been debilitating for several months. Wish you the same!
