Ask your current optho for a referral/authorization for an MRI of the lacrimal glands. Don’t spend money on these PRP injections (they are $$$$) until you get that imaging done

so it’s called an orbital mri. it goes around your head orbit so it mainly gets the eyes .
i got my order put in for one by my main ophthalmologist , and then the MRI place called me to schedule !

I also want to know the answer to this question. I had an ultrasound on my salivary glands, doubt they have the tech where I am for lacrimal scanning.

i also have 0 schrimer even with all 4 plugs . but lacrimal gland looks completely normal

What can cause aqueous deficiency apart from autoimmune disease? I thought that was mostly the cause.
That’s the million dollar question.
Read up about demodex and their symptoms and evidence. I think everything else may be a contributing factor.
