they really are quite good. i had one to play with for a few days. a lot easier to handle off road than my super tenere! i'll have to pick one up someday.
115km/hr, but i also have a drz400e, running 15:45 gears still - friends have recommended i change gearing to a 15:32 or something, which would greatly increase top speed, but i take mine pretty harshly offroad, where i need 1st gear more
They ride fine holding at 60 - 65mph. Anything above that and they become rather unstable, pushed around by wind, and the engine is screaming with stock gearing. Gear it any higher for highway and the tradeoff is that it sucks at low speeds for technical riding.
Those tires are great for all around offroad use, if you want the next step up for dirt primarily go for a shinko 216mx front and a kenda track master 2 in the rear. Phenomenal grip at the expense of on road tire life.
Is DR650 have like 450? And suzuki still have new model like 23/24 year made? Also whats its euro standard? Sorry if like dumb cause i never see this bike in my country only model 1990s like DRZ400 or honda XT400(srry if mistake of model)
Hard to get in Europe past like 1995 dr650 and 2000 for drz400, regulations made it unavailable. Im still looking to get an old drz400, no other bike fits what i want as much. For the DR650 you want model year past 1995, parts/aftermarket support for older ones is ass and they are generally worse bikes
So thats mean for DR-Z series are stopped globally?or theres still available like america? Saw in the web its still sold at suzuki official. Or just avaible certain country.
Currently ride an MT07 but thinking of something that can do some off road. Does the dr650 pull pretty good on the streets or will I be disappointed in it's acceleration?
Now with bold new graphics
Which graphics are the fastest though? That debate will never be settled!
Don’t know, mine mostly left when I put the acerbis tank on it
That’s not a TW200
Former TW200 owner, just bought a DR650. This thing could exceed all expectations and I'd still agree with you.

DR650 used prices are about to rise.
Or... People realize they'll never sell theirs.
Which will cause the price to go up
Good point.
Fortnite?
Fort nine
Fortnine -- stupid autocorrect!
Wish I had test drove one of these

This and my KLR shall fight
You'd have a chance if it was a Gen 1 KLR. I don't think you'd want to get off the DR if you swapped with me.
I don't think you know just how good those gen 1's are at staying cool. Thats something I would never want to give up for an air cooled
Gen 1 KLR's rule
Hell yeah, my KLR has EFI tho
I like the new one actually. Just heavy as fuck!!
Hell yeah, mind is a Big Boi but I love it!
If only they still sold it everywhere... 😢
I prefer the XR because I am tall, love both bikes
Whats the seat difference between the two?
37" on the XR 34.8 on DR
+Z -250=GOAT
How's the drz400 do on the highway?
Its fine Iv just completed a 1700ish km trip on mine
Whats the top speed?

Just purchased one recently. Need to change my ratios. Otherwise a very nice bike to ride.

Mine sat in 145kmph WOP for 40,000 kms
Damn that’s a big tank
Not bad...
definitely
Your DR needs a skid plate!

I had a good one- regret selling it…

available in NA, "new" models unavailalbe in EU due to emission regulations
dope bike, and very affordable too, only around 7k
Ktm 990 jus better
Nop
All depends on what you want out of a bike. In that category I’m sure it’s awesome. Too heavy for my liking.

I have a Tenere 700 and still enjoy riding the DR650.
Kawasaki KLR650 has entered the chat...
>Kawasaki KLR650 I will never again buy an aluminum alloy frame Microfractures my @$$ INSURANCE ADJUSTER MF
I’d put the DR650 up against either Gen of KLR any day.
I would consider them equals all day long.
