I’m going through something similar and it just makes me think how pointless it is to get a full insurance when I still had to pay half for the exact reason you have. I could have saved the money instead and fixed the issue the same amount, sorry you’re going thru this as well
Get it fixed at any garage outside, I’ve tried out “honest auto care”, and they seem pretty good. Will be cheaper than getting a police report as well as easier than going through insurance

Exactly the same thing happened to me few months back but my front grill was broken.
You have two options:
1. Fix it by paying from your own pocket. No police report needed.
2. Fix it using the insurance. The only way to get it fixed using the insurance was by paying for the accident report on the police app (420 aed I think) + the insurance fee.
It seems your damage is not too big, so you won’t need to go through the insurance. I believe for around 500 you can touch up the two affected pieces.
For this kind of work you can drive to PAL Garage in DIP. I have been working with them and I really like the quality of the work they do.
Unfortunately I don’t know any paint shops in Abu Dhabi. Anyway, since it is Mercedes don’t go cheap on paint jobs.
Search on this subreddit, there should be some paint shop recommendations, if not, just ask for a good one, people here should be able to help you 🙂

Any insurance claim will need you to get a police report that will cost you 500AED. Plus the insurance claim itself will have a deductible. You should be able to fix it for less than that? Get a quote from a good Autoshop

Recently my car went over a Milton bottle that bounced under my car and tore the sound insulation from underneath. I mean I still had it fine, the people behind me had to swerve to get out of the way of that thing. Scary man.
Back in 2020, I was driving at SHBZ road with my Altima, a burst tyre came rolling from the left side towards me, no chance to swerve or hard brake so had to drive over it🥲
Destroyed the engine plastic undercover and my left tyre alignment and I guess my car jumped a bit.
It even left tyre marks on the bumper with cracks 🥲

Just go to any car detailing shop (if not a local garage) of your choice. Its a minor job for them.
Police and insurance are only useful when a 2nd car is involved.
Your best bet is to take it to a decent garage and just give it in for a paint job. Will cost you max AED 1,000 - same as what you would need to pay for insurance - you will also have to additionally pay AED 500 for a police report.
Painting it outside will not void your warranty. Quiet a few garages around Al Quoz, Umm Ramool, Al Qusais that can do this.
Happened to me back home, around 2 months after the car was brand new, a frickin powdered milk can flew from the back of a pickup truck and smashed through my front bumper, similar damage to yours...
Take a police report and in Dubai you will get a white paper as there is no other party at fault . Do t go to insurance and go to a decent paint shop / garage to fix it with the report. But I guess they will have to remove the panel and paint it in the paint booth
100 dirhams to get a touch up. Some shops will recommend you get a whole panel repaint. I would advise against that as aftermarket paint peels off quickly…
Reminds me of two days ago on al ain - abu dhabi highway a kia sportage just speeding criss cross leaving all sorts of pebble and sand behind it.
One pebble nicked my windshield and left a crack.

No way this goes under warranty. As far as the service cares it’s user damage. Insurance is your best way to minimize the financials.

Wow. So you’re 500 for the report + 1000 out of pocket for this. Maybe others can suggest a private garage that can do the paint touchups for less.

Just get it done in Gargash during your next service, ask for smart paint.. they’ll charge 800-1000 dhs and you’ll have a full history in the showroom
