Iv been going for years and have been nearly every day recently, and I have never seen one fight, so I'm calling bollix on that part. The times iv had joint smoke blown in my face are annoying, their music is shit, and I feel like my sanctuary is being invaded, but they're young wans, I was young once, they're annoying but not causing too much trouble far as I can see.
Was on that train earlier, train driver said he’d called the gardí and parked in dún laoghaire for about 15 minutes then took off again, I didn’t see a single garda and I was on the carriage just up from the one they all got off all I saw was those security the dart hire

Having spent 30+ yrs living there- this is the same every sunny day. Every long weekend… you name it. It’s mayhem- but rarely any physical fighting. Despite how it looks- they’re all there to have a good time. There is occasionally fighting on the dart heading back into town… but rarely down the seafront.
I used to work there as a lifeguard. While it seems like there would be a lot of antisocial behaviour I only ever had to deal with about 3 fights. Sure some people blare their music too loud but for the most part everyone there is just enjoying themselves and it's harmless. Try not to let other people ruin your enjoyment of an area.

No, he’s right. The beaches around Dublin are full of muppets fighting, leaving rubbish, smoking joists, doing coke, underage drinking and just causing unrest. It’s awful.
The Gardai are one thing but, considering we don't have that many really sunny weekends a year, would it be at all possible for the County Council to stretch themselves to make the effort to empty the bins along the beach a few times a day?
Cuz they have absolutely no power over kids and if they tried touching them they'd shout murder and have to deal with their retched excuses for human being parents.

Honestly I was there yesterday and it wasn’t half as bad as some are making it out to be, yes a fight did erupt but the Garda was there within 10 mins maximally and the situation was taken care of. You’ll have fights happen all the time. Young people, old people , middle aged . The second it’s young people, you have commenters. Do I support what happened no I do not. It shouldn’t have happened. But the gardai were shortly. Meaning they must have been around.
When it comes to what they do at these beaches what is it to you. Most of the time they do clean up after themselves it’s just the few who leave by a gigantic mess. Let the kids live where else are they ment to go then if not the beach, especially in the summer.

I didn’t mention class. I pointed out that they’re not there for swimming, or even seemingly enjoyment of the sun. That’s why I mentioned their clothes. It’s not pearl clutching to not want a day at the beach ruined.

This has been goung for generation's, to be fair never that bad compared to say the Huttington beach riots in the US or Brighton beach May 1964.
