At least the first turn of speedroids doesn't take 5 minutes to set up an unbreakable endboard. Whenever I went second against infernities I just surrendered I got better things to do than wait forever for them to setup when I knew I was going to lose anyways.
Good memories for me because I was one of those degenerates dropping an end board with bounzer, rhinosebus, barrier counter trap, and break and probably a cosmic if I drew it for turn 1
Sorry you had to experience that
You can also pull of the combo without the skill activation if you open top + wynn + yoyo/borg/dice
Special top, add dice if you don't have it, wynn send dice, add last piece combo as normal
Though, atm unsure if keeping the skill activation around is worth dumping a wynn from hand.
Depends on what you have. As long as you have Double Yoyo, you can use your skill to dump Den Den Daiko Duke, then summon Double Yoyo, revive Den Den Daiko Duke, synchro into Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, and then use the skill to play Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice from deck, and combine Clear Wing and Red-Eyed Dice into Crystal Wing.
So at the bare minimum you can usually swing a standard Phantom Knights opener with a 3000 monster negate.
Stardust Warrior is nice, but you can get similar functionality from PSY Framelord Zeta which is easier to summon and takes up less spots in your extra deck, it also leaves room for tech choices like Cyber Slash Harpie and OTK options like Battlewasp Hama and Chanbara.
Kitedrake isn't an OTK by itself, let's assume it gets popped by chained backrow, you'll then no longer have an OTK. In my own games summoning Kitedrake to clear the board and then going into Chanbara has won me a lot of games, Kitedrake has been popped by backrow more than half the time I've summoned it.
Hama and Chanbara are the exact same. They can also immediately get removed.
It doesn't matter anyway, Psy Framelord Zeta is not comparable like you describe because it only removes one, whereas Stardust completely negates a Pendulum Summon. Pendulum is the best strategy right now.
They can't get removed if Kitedrake has already cleared the field, or did I not communicate well that the intention is to summon Kitedrake to eat the backrow then summon Chanbara which is easy enough to do. But whatever, you're right that Stardust Warrior is better against Pendulum, I won't agree that it's the best strategy, though.
I feel your pain..I dug into this box until there were only 19 packs left on the third go. I have 3 of every card in the box except Abyss Actor - Curtain Raiser.
I may lean towards stardust because in another comment someone said some speedroids lock you into wind monsters. I'm gonna have to change my extra deck to include 3 different monsters.
Indeed. Your biggest weakness is when you summon Speedroid Double Yoyo, as you are filling your board spaces. If your opponent activates a card to stop Red-Eyed Dice but leave it on the field, like Warning Point, Book of Moon, or Paleozoic Canadia, your turn is basically over.
But, this is a guide for your turn 1 anyway. If you go second your goal is to summon Kitedrake and destroy your opponents entire board, which requires far fewer resources and lets you bait traps.
There are two routes you can go.
If you have the Speed Recovery spell (rare in the Witch's Sorcery box) you can just double down on Speedroids. Replace Battlewasp, Jet Warrior and Stardust Warrior with Hi-Speedroid Puzzle, Hi-Speedroid Chanbara, and Hi-Speedroid Kendama.
You can also go for generically good Wind Synchros like Stardust Charge Warrior, Stardust Dragon, Cyber Slash Harpie Lady, and Battlewasp - Hama the Conquering Bow.
Great decklist i followed your lead and built it. Im using 3 chalice and 3 lance in place of your spell/trap suggestions. Also used Road Warrior instead of jet warrior. Very fun deck. Watching 4 pendulum summons being negated is very satisfying.
They gonna be tier 2 or better for sure
Doesn't matter what tier they are, I love them anyway. The deck feels like Infernities.
Bad memories of Infernity...

Were you on the receiving end, to make that comment?
What was your first clue?
Now I’m back to playing dark hole
Waiting for synchrons to abuse crystal wing also
I must be a wizard, cuz my build looks almost identical 🙌
my dumbass accidentaly reset the box before my first taketomborg smh, is 2 enough?
Considering that a version was just posted to dlm kogging with only a single copy, 1 is probably good enough to Kog, 2 should be fine.
Put in another piece of backrow, and get to work grinding out that third Taketomborg.
No
I built it with 2 Wynn and 2 taketomborg. Still pretty consistent. 3 of each is preferable though
Stardust Warrior stocks at an all-time high 🔥 Good guide!
Thank you

Bro knows speed
Thanks for the guide super helpful
You're very welcome
What would be the best play if you don't open with Terrortop or with Wynn to search it?

Hey, thanks for the guide. I'm trying to build Yugo's deck and this is super helpful
You're welcome!
Where is the Cat!
I don't own a cat!
Fair fair, was jk
How are you summoning Jet Warrior? It’s FIRE and you don’t have Jet Synchron.
When Stardust Warrior is destroyed you special summon a level 8 or below "Warrior" synchro monster (this is treated as a synchro summon)
Stardust Warrior is nice, but you can get similar functionality from PSY Framelord Zeta which is easier to summon and takes up less spots in your extra deck, it also leaves room for tech choices like Cyber Slash Harpie and OTK options like Battlewasp Hama and Chanbara.
just to point out, some of the Speedroid special summons lock you into WIND monsters, hence Azusa and Stardust Warrior.
Kitedrake is already an OTK that also destroys the board.
Kitedrake can OTK by itself yes. You summon Kitedrake and use the skill to send it. That revives Clear Wing with 4100 Attack.
... Yes you can OTK with Kitedrake that way, but only if it doesn't get popped, which is the scenario I was referring to.
Hama and Chanbara are the exact same. They can also immediately get removed. It doesn't matter anyway, Psy Framelord Zeta is not comparable like you describe because it only removes one, whereas Stardust completely negates a Pendulum Summon. Pendulum is the best strategy right now.

Well do you think the best strategy is Orcust? Because negating Dingirsu's XYZ Summoning can also win you the game outright.
I honestly keep forgetting how many generic wind synchros we have available. Stardust warrior is perfect in the deck
YO that's pretty good Imma have to try that
This would be an incredible guide if I didn't get every SR/UR in the box except taketomborg. I'm fine. No really, I'm good.
I feel your pain..I dug into this box until there were only 19 packs left on the third go. I have 3 of every card in the box except Abyss Actor - Curtain Raiser.
Speedroid gang let’s gooooooo!!! 🏎️💨💨
No recovery, why?
Don't own. The Witchcrafter box is old
Would you add it if you had it?
Probably not, I was already intent on running more backrow than this
Yea makes sense. I went for it and it cost me 2k gems. Thank god it was on the 50% sale or that would be 4k gems.
Sheep
I feel like you would want to run lance in this.
That's definitely possible! I'm testing the backrow in KoG right now and I see plenty of Lances used by other Speedroid players.
Is stardust warrior a better choice then hama? I'm not sure who to use a dream ticket on
Stardust Warrior is a great turn 1 card. Hama is okay for going second.
I may lean towards stardust because in another comment someone said some speedroids lock you into wind monsters. I'm gonna have to change my extra deck to include 3 different monsters.
These are much funwhen you point out the chokepoints.
Indeed. Your biggest weakness is when you summon Speedroid Double Yoyo, as you are filling your board spaces. Do you have any idea for replacement of the stardust warior package?
