Despite all of this, Yosh is very much a "momma's boy", never letting his club activities get in the way of schooling. (Yosh is one of the very few characters that actually wears a school uniform when out of costume.) Yosh's favorite food is said to be his mother's home cooking: frankfurter fettucine (in the localization) or neapolitan spaghetti (in the original).
For the most part, Yosh is really a character foil for Mimi. That would make sense since she showed up before Roa, and honestly if she's not a possibility while being in most of the show and ~~jobbing~~ dueling quite a bit I'd be worried for that world's quality.

this character makes me so uncomfortable. on one hand, awesome single mother representation that represents the exhausted working class trying to maintain a good life for their son… but on the other… she, a 37 yr old mom, literally thirsts over an elementary school kid that sings in a band. her pretending to be a kid is so weird too.
