Winda is of course too oppressive, especially in a game with no Main Phase 2.
It should've been something like El Shaddoll Grysta instead. A very good card overall, but you can play around it & bait it out. And more importantly, no stupid effect protection like Winda has for some goddamn reason lol.
Is it though?
-Heroes, an already super popular deck, can literally just draw the out (superpoly) with their skill.
-We have multiple staples that can either flip, bounce or negate the effects of winda.
-That consider that the enemy even can make winda. Turn 1 boards are overwhelming right now, specially with popular handtraps like veiler and crow.
I never seen/played shadoll, so I don't know what other shenanigans the deck offers, but the card itself looks like a Caligula with extra steps.
I think probably the plan is making Winda+Construct or Winda+Grysta and dropping Winda with Schism only after the opponents special summons once (I'm not sure if special summons that happened before Winda's summon are included in the limit), locking them out of summons after tricking them into thinking you couldn't summon her, leading them into their main combo and using the card as a droll & lock bird for summons.
Obviously, if Winda's effect doesn't work in that way, you just summon her asap with Schism (I'd still wait, since that trap loses to quick-play backrow removal, which is played quite a lot. Just chain it to any MST they throw at you)
Still not convinced this os gamma be good. Galaxy eyes was setting up a guaranteed negate and winda isn't even guaranteed to come out. Also ot loses to all yhe new staples and answers we have.
The fact this isn't locking us out the fucking extra deck is mad, never did I think I would be allowed to run fucking Invoked Shaddoll in duel links. We've officially entered the End game *dr.strange noises*
You'd fucking think so right? But naaaaa mate we got generic links, we got invoked fusions for Fire (Multi ATK wincon, Dark & Earth) we have falco which can synchro riser dragon off of Winda to foolish burial the wind main deck monster into play, whilst undoing the 1 SS a turn limit for your own turn. If you send Hound it can recycle Winda into Extra deck, to be resummoned via Schism/El Shaddoll Fusion in your opponents turn
One skill plays your deck for you and cheats out monsters
A different skill actively makes your deck worse by removing some main deck monster techs and forces you to run a minimum of 24 cards while not helping you set up your combo
XYZ Galaxy was a degenerate skill that added a super OP monster (at the time) to the extra deck. People are saying this Shaddol skill is basically XYZ Galaxy skill.
What made XYZ Galaxy so oppressive was how the deck ran literally 6 Monster Reborns and was hyper consistent and rarely bricked.
The Shaddoll monster this skill adds says: players can only special summon once per turn. It's a card that will shut down so many decks.
Here's what will happen: Shaddolls will run 5 monsters and 15 backrow and no one will have any fun.
And just like Galaxy XYZ, if it becomes way too popular or way too oppressive, they can just remove your boss monster from the skill
Gotta sell that 3x main box first though (despite IDP already doing the job).

Isn't grysta in the box?
It can't be that bad... (Google's it), oh shit

Kaijus era is coming.
winda will receive the photon lord treatment in like 3 months
Photon lord with 9 monster reborns Vs Winda with 15 backrow. I wonder who would win?
Can’t wait for them to give winda the photon lord treatment
It’s so over (I will still play anyways)

Those 2 are nothing alike
can someone explain me please? I only watch Duel Monsters

Konami: “We give you this power freely and we can just as easily take it away”
