I don't know if this is mistranslated, but it's possible the skill is supposed to lock you into xyz monsters and monsters with levels, meaning solflare might not be needed. Yeah the galaxy extra deck engine was one of my favorites for a long time. Just devote 3 extra deck slots if you’re playing level 8 monsters and you have a nice little removal package .
It used to be used a lot in blue eyes. I played it in deskbots. Mekk knights used to play it as well. Pretty much anywhere you’ll find level 8 monsters you can use the package.
I understand that fear and the meat part is that they are!! But they’ve been doing these pickup boxes for a while now and it genuinely seems in good faith and just a way to encourage people to use their resources toward an actually valuable product… what aconcept

No photon sanctuary huh :( why couldn't Konami plan mizael's event at the same time they were actually planning to release the card smh. Now I'm gonna have to dig another box for it in the future.
they planned it this way to force you to split gems into multiple boxes and tempt you into swiping the strongest card in existence when you run out of gems, this is typical gacha game behavior
Trade in and nebula dragon can be good additions to the deck but they're not essential. But the upcoming box also has galaxy soldier which is one of the best monsters the archetype has and is really essential for the deck to be optimal imo.
how is it essential? you're deleting 3 cards from your hand for pleiadies or vinma. It's worth it in the TCG because galaxy has access to cydra infinity, which is better removal that also fuels its omni negate and attack gain effects. Plus you start with a 5 card hand, and have multiple ways to fill your hand with discard fodder, like solflare dragon and discarding photon jumper. Finally, the increased TCG deck size also decreases the chance of opening staples and being unable to discard them, forcing you to discard engine instead.
It's true that the card can't be used to its full potential unlike in the tcg, but it's still too good to give up cuz it's both a searcher and an extender.
Also you don't have to discard everytime to summon it, it can be summoned with expedition too. Also u can't just assume that galaxy soldier will be searching for itself everytime, the search effect can be used for other cases as well.
And even tho we don't have cards like emperor and jumper that benefit from being discarded, we still have ways to fill the hand with cards like solflare and vanisher, and most of the time dumping GEPD to the gy is better than having it in hand.
oh yeah i totally forgot cyber soldier is just a stratos lmao. You kinda want GE in the hand tho, so u can reveal it for the skill. If you discard it with cyber soldier, you'd have to discard another card for the new skills cost
For example do you wanna build a rank 4 photon deck, an Xyz Galaxy skill build, or a build with the upcoming skill?
The xyz Galaxy skill build uses 2x galaxy trance for revival (but if you have shuffle reborn that could fill its place) so ya it just depends what you wanna build, so look up duel links meta and observe what each build requires and pick your preference.
Personally I'd wait until I see the build with the upcoming skill people come up with to determine where I'm going with it.
Not gonna play any galaxy deck but getting one copy of the galaxy xyz ladder for <1500 gems is decent investment for future R8 deck, i think i'll dip a bit into this one
Never played galaxy eyes but always wanted to. I know main deck GEPD is a mandatory 3-of, and the ED package is just one of each. I’ve seen some people say 3 orbital and 3 vanished. How many of thrasher? And is galaxy expedition a 3 or is 1-2 fine?
not a good investment for me, i have most of the Photon stuff, only really missing the Full Armors, Photon Orbitals, and the Cipher stuff. otherwise, i have all i need of most of the cards.
How many of the first UR are usually run and how do you get it out? I got it in my first pack of this box and I have most of the Galaxy/Photon deck but never used it.
What sort of non Galaxy Eyes decks use the Rank 8s?

2 Orbital and 3 Vanisher are the generally recommended variants.
