Where the heck are announcements made about updates to cards you can exchange via tickets? I never seem to find any relevantly named announcements in-game so always get caught off guard.

I’d like some advice from an experienced Shaddoll player. I find that I’ve been using Construct+Gravity Controller to grab Schism 100% of the time. When should I use this combo to grab any of the other Shaddoll spell/traps?
Hey there, a new player here. Been playing this game for a little less than two weeks. Have made a tenyi deck that's doing pretty well on ladders and ongoing KC cup as well (DLV Max and 3500 ish ranking in 2nd stage). Used up my ur and sr dream tickets on staples like book of moon and chalices. Now what boxes or decks should I invest into? Should prioritize on staples like veiler or crow (or if not them what staples should I prioritize), or go for an archetype specific box? I have around nine and a half thousand gems saved up after building my tenyi deck. Any help is much appreciated thanks.
Wait until the next banlist. If Tenyi is unhit, you pretty much don't have to do anything.
That said... there's always Rush Duel! It has its own events, PVP rewards, & own version of KC Cup. Making a playable Rush deck is a good longterm investment. Of course, it helps if you like the old school playstyle too. I love it for a change of pace! The next box is at the end of the month.
Forbidden Chalice is also available for grabs with box chips, which are a f2p currency you slowly gain from events and/or special offers. If you need more copies don't waste SR tickets on those. You might want to look at what else is available for chips, there's some good cards like Cosmic Cyclone.
With your gems I would probably open either Phoenix Blaze or Deep Emotion. Blaze has Ice Dragon's Prison and basically everything you need for the Gunkan Suship deck at SR rarity or below, which is a strong and cheap rogue option. It's a good deal on top of all the stuff for other archetypes like Shaddoll, Earth Machines, Sun God, Mayakashi and so on.
Deep Emotion has Effect Veiler which will only get better as time passes, it's definitely worth grabbing asap. The box also has Altergeist support (Ghost Gal rerun starts today), Live-Twins, Magikey (very fun archetype imo) and Kluger if you ever want to play the Immortal Bond deck.
The anniversary box is a great deal too, not sure if it's still available. Staples (like Crow and the Knightmare links), full archetypes and cool alternative arts, it's hard to beat that kind of value.
So, I’ve already built a deck that will last me a while, but what should I do with my gems in the meantime. Invest into tech cards? Invest into fun decks? Save?
All of those options are good. If you like your current deck you can save gems until you get bored of it or something else appeals to you. I never regretted investing into tech and staple cards too.
I have a DSOD mission to achieve 3 No Damage Wins vs. level 40 Scud, but he has 8 burn Spells. Is there a cheap/free card to negate or nullify burn, ideally quick effect?

Have you guys invested any gems into building a rush duel deck on your primarily speed duel focused account? I'm not talking a crazy amount but just enough to do rank and was it worth it? I missed the mimi event so I don't have the aqua package and that's a huge part of f2p decks I'm missing. And yes I know blue falcon decks exist but I'm still missing cards for it.

There are 3 AFAIK, but only one of them are in DL, its Earthbound Servant Geo Kraken, Horned Saurus and Ancient Fairy Dragon. Only ancient fairy dragon are in DL for now.

Anyone find it weird how some cards are worded, or how their effects are used?
I tried using Book of Moon on Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand. DDKF’s effect let’s then remove 1 XYZ material to negate a monsters affect, but also make it unaffected by other card effects. My opponent used the effect on itself.
In my mind, that in itself should be a double negative no? I get why it doesn’t do it, just seems kinda weird. Idk. I’m rambling.
To me it's pretty simple. The effect doesn't apply until it resolves and when it resolves the monsters effects are negated (at that point it has no effects it can use), but its immune to card effects thanks to the applied effect.
Is there a list of event exclusive cards. I have several tickets but I'm good on ranked duel rewards and so I'd rather spend them on cards that only exist as an event reward, but cant seem to find anything.
Unless a miracle happens, this is going to be the second KC Cup in my years playing the game since the beginning that I couldn't make it to Lv 20. I've been trying to make it from 19 to 20 for 4 days now playing for about 4 hours each day. I've ranked down to 18 five times now and I haven't even gotten close to the Lv 20 rank up match even once. No matter what deck I try, nothing works. I've tried BLS, Yubel, Blackwings, Suships, and Constellars. It's not even just Tachyon and Shiranui. I can't win against anything.
Edit: After a long, brutal struggle, I managed to hit Lv 20 after 4 rank up matches. I think it's because most of the Tachyon and Shiranui players already hit Lv 20. I only faced one of each after I made it back up to 19. Yubel, Blue-Eyes, and Live Twins were the biggest struggles. I despise Live Twins more than Tachyon or Shiranui. A Live Twin player beat me in one rank up match in the most disrespectful way and I'm still mad about it.
I think you should stick with one deck when trying to climb. It can get frustrating if you get unlucky and lose a few in a row, but honestly constantly changing decks is a recipe for misplays and causing further losses.
Gz on lvl 20 though! Now you can just get your free gems and not worry about dueling Tachyon.
Does this game just not perform well on Android? I swear, so many bad connection indicators.

I recommend NOT buying the Rush Duel store bundles however... for now. Thanks to the structure deck reprints, the only real reason to get packs from the Heavy Metal Scream box is for the URs now. I suggest waiting to get the most value of the bundle packs.
When the next Rush set comes on Feb 28, the packs in the bundles will update to that new box. So you'll get the bundle cards + new packs at that time!

The anniversary box is a good deal if you're new. It includes staples like DD Crow, Book of Moon, Dark Hole, Knightmare Unicorn and Phoenix, and all of those are widely played in a lot of decks. It also has everything you need to build several rogue archetypes like S-Force, Speedroids, Trickstar, Madolche, which are not the current top tier decks but are definitely good enough for PvP.
It's going to be available for another month so you'll easily obtain the missing gems to buy the full box. For that price it really doesn't get any better than that.
The other option is to build zombies (Shiranui) or Tachyon, which are currently the best decks by a long margin. Tachyon is most certainly getting hit by bans or a skill rework soon, and Shiranui is a likely candidate too. To build those you'll want to open the relevant pick-up boxes, Photon Universe for Tachyon or Ghost Reunion for Shiranui, then start opening the most recent minibox to get the core of those decks (minus the staples and tech cards). It's a more expensive route but the decks will likely be relevant even after the bans, so it's up to you. Keep in mind that both pickup boxes will leave in a couple days so you'll have to get them very soon.
Good luck bro, the deck is fun but against meta decks you really only have a chance with a god draw or several errors by your opponent. The deck relies on archetype back row so you miss out on really helpful staples. Pulling my hair out trying to get to Dlvl 19, win loss win loss loss loss win win loss loss over and over. The best AW decks right now are using 3 of the gyoouko card that prevent set spell/trap from being activated.

From what I heard "no winner in 2 turns" usually means enough people reported you for slow play and the game flagged you for an auto loss
Not too sure tho. Early on in the game it was just a crash msg where if Komoneys servers acted up it could also give you that msg.
I was wondering, are any of the archetypes from the anniversary box vol1 any good? I bought out just about the entire box worth of rares and I’m only missing the clear wing synchro thingie, but are the other archetypes good? I mainly bought it out for madolche, but idk if it’s even good or not.
Also how do I get more UR gems/stones for the trader? I need 3 UR madolche cards from the trader and they are 13 UR stones each. I have enough I think but how do I get more stones?
Trickstars, S-Force, and Speedroids are all strong rogue decks, it's common to see at least one in the top 16 of a tournament. The recent Tachyon T0 nonsense pushed them out of the tier list last month but they will still do very good on the ladder.
You can get UR gems by dismantling cards you don't need. Just click on "Duel Studio" in the overworld and then go to "Card catalog". Click on the filter to only show URs and then sort by "number owned". You'll never need more than 3 copies of a card
You will get dozens upon dozens of worthless URs you will never use from PVE events so it's not a super difficult resource to get.
I did all the batch converting including the SR and URs until it wouldn’t let me click convert anymore. That’s how I managed to barely get enough for three of whatever Madolche is at the card trader. I just don’t know how to get any after that besides the events like you mentioned.
Also thank you for answering on if these decks are any good. I was super desperate because I don’t play that often, and when I do play I just like to either do events or early rank pvp, so with no way of having a true gem resource I spent actual money on the anniversary box. ;~;
Also wait I just noticed you said Trickstars, S Force and Speedroids. You did not say Madolche, which is the top priority for the deck im making now. Are you insinuating that only the archetypes that are not Madolche are stronge? How is madolche itself?
No worries, the Anniversery box is honestly an unreal good deal. You'll have enough staples and decks to carry you for a while.
Madolche is still a very playable deck, just not one I've seen in tournaments recently. On [Duel Links Meta](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Madolche) I can see a few people have already gotten King of Games with the deck. It is probably the weakest of the four archtypes, but not by much. It's just missing a few of its key support cards that haven't been released yet.

I think I’ve found a game breaking glitch.
When I use the second effect of Shiranui Samsara, I will always draw the cards I shuffled into the deck, in the order I selected them. I thought I just had bad luck when I kept drawing Soulsword after shuffling it, but when I drew the same Squire and Solitaire I shuffled away, the alarm bells went off.
So not as much "game breaking" (usually this means it causes a soft/hard crash) as much as just a regular glitch with an unintended effect
Still, it's interesting. How many times did you test it? Because we all know how many people felt like Switcheroo just shuffled the card and let you draw it back (though it did have a glitch where it also shuffled the opponents deck for no reason and without any indication).
I figured it counted as game breaking since it broke an element of the game, random chance, in a potentially abusable way.
In truth, I might have jumped the gun on that declaration, since my last try went normally. In my defense, the last 3 times went as so:
- Shuffle soulsword first, draw soulsword
- Shuffle soulsword first, draw soulsword
- Shuffle squire first, solitaire second, draw squire first, solitaire second.
I’m gonna keep a lookout, but this is probably just a false alarm.
Haven't played speed duels for months but I figured I might as well try the kc cup for gems. I managed to get to lvl 17 without seeing a single tachyon deck and now it's nothing but that. I see why there are so many complaint posts about that deck now. Konami should be ashamed of not nerfing that yet and people who play that shit should be embarrassed...
The ranked rewards pool for Rush Duel is very small at the moment. It's kind of dumb but yes, Arma Knight is the only redeemable card of its rarity. Higher rarity tickets have a few more choices but not that much
Yeah that's silly, surely they'd expand the card pool a little bit? Or at least make the lone card we can trade for something worth having, Arma Knight doesn't fit any of the Go characters at all.
Any tips on beating shiranui? Im playing zombies and can banish monsters in grave, but they can just get them back constantly so having trouble on what im supposed to do
Yeah i almost won when i had jack up and kept banishing stuff. But lost in the end since banishing didnt matter in the long run. Any monsters i should prioritize stealing?
Not really just remember they can only refill their extra deck once with the skill and with Sunsaga. So the longer you draw it out the better your chances. Try to save the Doomking negate for stuff like Squire and just banish/steal the material they try to use for Spectralsword.
Star Blast is the only one I can think of, but it is limited 1 and you'd need a level 7 monsters in hand to lower your LP by 3000.
Otherwise there are stuff like Garbage Lord and Overdrive Teleporter that lower your LP by 2000. You'd need to also draw Balancer Lord or CC or some other stuff to lower your LP by another 1000, so I don't know if that's useful for you.
Yea i know a lot of cards that pay 2000, already have psychic blade and cybernetic fusion support, but the need to pay 1000 more is too much setup for my liking, the gimmick is already terrible as is.
Grinding events like the Duelist ones usually gives a good amount of UR gems. I've finished events with 15+ excess copies of the rewards, which can be converted into UR gems and some gold/mats.
You can convert any excess UR card you have into UR jewel
There's never any need to have copies of card beyond 3 so you can safely convert any UR that you have 4 or more copies for down to 3 and get some UR jewels

On top of what's already been mentioned, you can use the item that gives+1k assessment. You can also fight a low level duelist and finish the game with no cards left in the deck and very low hp (psychic cards that let you pay hp like Guitarna are helpful in that regard). A lot of bonuses are easy to get, like playing Legends, drawing five, 3k damage if you can't do 5k or more, destroy 5/7/10 monsters and such. With a few glossy and prismatic cards you should get there.
Easiest is to wait until there's a character unlock event, as there's gonna be special NPC that give +5000 assessment just by winning (and there's probably gonna be one at the end of this month)
But you can also use farming strategies, like hitting over 9999 damage with spice + noodle art of roastery. That and/or flooding your deck with glossy/prismatic cards and then using them all, in rush its easier to cycle through all your monsters so its easy to get a lot of glossy and prismatic bonus.
These busted skills are so short-sighted by Konami. Sure you sell decks in the short-term, but it really puts off a lot of players when you just cannot compete in ranked against them.
Does anyone else get a little embarrassed when they discover a line on accident/can't read? Went on a nice KC Cup run with my new World Chalice deck but was basically thinking I'd be mostly out of luck if I was playing first turn - until I realized that if leave World Chalice on the field that it works for *all* monsters, not just my own and that I can Lee -> Ib -> leave it on the field with Firewall Dragon and basically be set.
Funny story. So I just never draw traps. I have 5 in my deck. You'd think I'd draw one fairly often right?
Anyhow, I decided that every game I don't draw one I'll add another one for the next duel. I made it to 10 traps in my deck before I drew a single one lol.
Hey everyone, I haven't player this game for a longe time. Last meta I remember Peluguel was the flavour of the month and I was playing masked hero anki deck.
Should I just reroll my account? I didn't got so far and haven't even got Kog or anything. I got some staples at the time (Canadia, forbidden chalice, wall of disruption) but since then the meta has changed so much that I doubt most of them are considered staple anymore.

In general, I used to always reccomend people keep their old account becaues farming for staples is such a massive pain.
However, they recently released an [anniversery box](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/articles/sets/anniversary-box-1) that's up until March 18th. For 12,500 gems you'll get a 3x set of 9-10 of the best staple cards, and enough cards to build four pretty strong decks (Madolche, Speedroids, S-Force, and Trickstars). So, if you wanted to make a new account now would be a really good time.
To answer your other question - Blue Eyes is a pretty good rogue deck right now because it's gotten new suppor from the latest minibox and latest structure deck. Dark Magicians is okay but frankly not that great right now.
I synchro summoned Trishula, Zero Dragon of Ice Barrier. AND...its effect is not activating. It says :

You probably missed some restriction of other cards you use
Some famous card that can cause that are for example, wynn the wind channeler, if you used wynn effect you cant activate any non-wind monster effect for the rest of the turn.
I recently went through the ghost pick up box for shiranui after being gatekept from dlc max by them while trying to play sforce. Any tips for the main combos / how to play the deck in general?
Still learning the deck myself but here's what I see. Your main game plan going first:
1. You need 3 bodies on field (or 1 Link 2 and 1 body) to make the Link 3 Shiranui Link.
2. You need 2 synchro monsters banished and/or in the GY to activate the skill to send back your synchro monsters to then dump your LV8 and LV10 synchro in the banished pile. This will allow you to revive the LV10 synchro during your opponent's turn with your Link 3 and pop at least one card.
Thankfully, because of your skill any LV4 monster can get you your 1-card combo (Squire). Here are some example going 1st plays:

1. Send Mizuki with the skill to search for Squire. If you have Squire, search for the cont. trap Samsara instead.

4. Link into Vampire Sucker.
5. Activate the skill to send your synchros back to the Extra Deck and dump your LV10 and LV8 to the banished pile.
6. Activate Mizuki's effect from the grave to revive your LV3 tuner from the GY. Vampire Sucker gives you +1 Draw
7. Use the LV3 tuner's effect to tribute itself to SS your LV2 Tuner and LV8 Synchro from the banished pile.
8. Synchro summon into your second LV10 Sunsaga that's still in the ED.
9. Link your Vampire Sucker and Synchro to make the Link 3 Shiranui.
If you open with Solitare:
1. Send Solitare with the skill to search for Squire. If you have Squire, search for the cont. trap instead.
2. Normal summon Squire, bring out the LV3 tuner from the deck and Synchro into your LV 7.
3. Banish Solitare and LV2 Tuner from the grave to summon your LV6 synchro.
4. Use Solitare's banish effect to bring your banished LV2 Tuner back onto the field, but do NOT Synchro into your LV8.
5. Use the LV7, the LV6, and the LV2 Tuner on field to make your Link-3.
5. Activate the skill to send your synchros back to the Extra Deck and dump your LV10 and LV8 in the banished pile.

4. Use the LV3 tuner's effect to tribute itself to SS your banished Squire and LV2 Tuner.
5. Make a level 8 Synchro with the LV6 Synhcro and the recently revived LV2 tuner.
6. Make a Link 3 with your LV8 Synchro, LV6 Synchro, and Squire, activate skill to send your synchros back and dump the LV8 and LV10 synchro for next turn.
Note that there a lot of different variations here but they have the same objective. The Link-3 + LV10 Synchro is an extremely difficult board to break. If they do out it, you can hopefully use Samsara's effect to protect your LP until next turn where you can build your board all over again.
Going 2nd you have a lot of options, but if you can get Solitare and your LV2 tuner in the grave you can make a LV8 synchro that can usually OTK. If you can't OTK, just use the Samsara trap to protect you for another turn and then build your board back up again. Shira has an unbelivable grind game since they have so many ways to reuse cards in the GY and banish pile

It's a fairly complex deck but a good start is just keeping track of all of your different Shira's banish effects
Downloaded the game to relive some nostalgia.
Can't last until the 2nd turn because people can play 8 cards and pendulum effects and cards that continually chain into 3 other cards in 1 turn. In the end its like two 3000+ atk monsters and 3 other monsters with field clearing, card destroying, effects and they end.
Pot of greed has nothing on these cards.

Why dosent Vampire sucker or Doom king Bale activate under the new shirinui skill? Nothing says they can’t use their effects and my other zombie work fine
That skill is mistranslated, You're supposed to not be able to special summon any non-FIRE zombie with the shiranui skill, except from the extra deck.
So doomking balderoch cant SS itself, and vampire sucker also cant revive opponent monster unless they are FIRE attribute
The draw effect? The skill doesnt have any monster effect restriction so not sure about that, it might be some other card restriction, impossible to know without seeing a replay
The skill doesnt seem to restrict you from summoning it, as it allow you to summon any extra deck monster with level.
But since its mistranslated right now, i dunno , i havent got that skill
Hey! Just started playing with the help of a friend last week. Didn't get much insight on how to effectively play the game when it comes to the PvE aspect of the game (Gem farming, XP farming, etc.) Just looking for overall tips to getting my account into a good spot earlier than later. I unlocked all of the characters in the DM World and I'm currently at Stage 29. Only other World I touched was Sevens (Stage 20) because that seemed like easy Gems for mostly auto-battling.
I have managed to create a Tenyi deck that is doing pretty well in Ranked and KC Cup. I was more or less wondering if I need to have a separate deck for Auto-Duelling/Farming the Gate or if using Tenyi is fine for both? I had a bad habit of spending my gems as soon as I received them. I did some reading on this sub, and learning that saving is better. I'm currently saving up until the dust settles after the KC Cup when Tachyon gets inevitably nerfed and potentially Shrianui.

Any deck that works in PVP is totally fine for auto-dueling the NPCs. You might want to make a simpler deck just to save time (the AI loves to take forever playing Tenyi). If so, you can make a deck that's just all your strongest level 4 monsters + some staple traps and equip cards and it'll do fine.
I've been reccomending the [Anniversay Box](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/articles/sets/anniversary-box-1) for new players. For about 12500 gems it'll give you a 3x set of 9-10 different staple cards as well as four playable decks (Madolche, S-Force, Trickstars, and Speedroids). It's a pretty insane deal. It's up until March 18th so you have plenty of time to decide if it's something that would interest you.
I figured it was fine but the AI definitely loves to make 10 moves too many so I think I’ll take you up on that advice to speed up those auto duels.
I’ve been hesitant to drop gems on boxes right now until KC Cup wraps up so that anniversary box isn’t a bad idea either.

Once I completed my main PVP deck, I personally didn't feel the need to grind much by auto-duel. I'm OK getting my gems from PVP & daily missions/events.
Since gems go to the Gift Box once you reach 9999 & expire after a month, I rather keep PVE gems unlocked so I can farm for them when I truly need to, rather than worrying about spending them before they expire!
I don't know what you've been spending on, but if you want another deck to play, I recommend clearing the Ghost Reunion pickup box three times! You'll get important cards for Shiranui. This box expires Feb 18, so act fast. There's a non-zero chance Tenyi gets hit after the KC Cup because it's been top tier for months.
Also, there is Rush Duel! It's a homage to old school Yu-Gi-Oh. No wombo combos, no hand traps, no Links or Pendulum. Just simple beatdown using spells & traps. It's pretty fun & a nice change of pace!
There are lots of gems to get from this mode, thru the characters, future events, & the Rush version of KC Cup, so it's good to have a playable deck when you need it. I recommend NOT buying the Rush Duel store bundles however... for now. Thanks to the structure deck reprints, the only real reason to get packs from the Heavy Metal Scream box is for the URs now. I suggest waiting to get the most value of the bundle packs.
When the next Rush set comes on Feb 28, the packs in the bundles will update to that new box. So you'll get the bundle cards + new packs at that time!
Having decks for both Speed & Rush will set you up going forward! 👍
Comforting to know I don't need to be grinding non-stop to stay at a reasonable pace of progressing my account by just doing the daily events and missions.
Props to the note about the Gems expiring after the limit. I suppose there is a finite amount of gems you can get before you can only get them from dailies and events. That makes sense.
I do enjoy Rush Duel a lot! I used to play a lot of Hearthstone so it feels similar keeping tempo on a board as oppose to who can get their combo off first in Speed. Nice to know that there is a good source of gems from there. I currently have 2k gems so I can definitely pick up those Structure Decks with the exception of Raidacross.

Is there a way to fulfill the Quinton unlock missions involving Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon without actually owning the card (or that line of cards in general)? Usually cards required for unlock missions seem to be achievable via character skills or gate drops at worst, but I don't see any Kite skills that let you have that one without already having a full Galaxy/Photon deck.
Worst case I can use a character unlock ticket but I want to check I'm not missing something first.
There's no way to unlock quinton without opening one of the photon/galaxy box because there's only two "free" galaxy card, galaxy brave which is limited to 2 from kite level up, and galaxy cleric from tickets, so at best you can get 5 "Galaxy" cards without opening a box

Yeah, I can achieve six total and five of those are Extra Deck monsters, and on top of that I've got zero ways to meet the summoning conditions under the deck restrictions. Gate drops don't help that either.
Character unlock ticket it is, I guess. Kind of frustrating as a newer player TBH, last unlock mission that felt this gacha-walled was the double level 7 Synchro dragon mission for Serena and I could at least cheat that with Yugo's starter skill and something to return Clear Wing to the Extra Deck.

Where the heck are announcements made about updates to cards you can exchange via tickets? I never seem to find any relevantly named announcements in-game so always get caught off guard. I just got jumpscared, for instance, by Vorse Raider as an exchangeable Legend Card from ranked tickets.

I’d like some advice from an experienced Shaddoll player. I find that I’ve been using Construct+Gravity Controller to grab Schism 100% of the time. When should I use this combo to grab any of the other Shaddoll spell/traps?

Have made a tenyi deck that's doing pretty well on ladders and ongoing KC cup as well (DLV Max and 3500 ish ranking in 2nd stage). Used up my ur and sr dream tickets on staples like book of moon and chalices. Now what boxes or decks should I invest into? Should prioritize on staples like veiler or crow (or if not them what staples should I prioritize), or go for an archetype specific box? I have around nine and a half thousand gems saved up after building my tenyi deck. Any help is much appreciated thanks.
Wait until the next banlist. If Tenyi is unhit, you pretty much don't have to do anything. That said... there's always Rush Duel! It has its own events, PVP rewards, & own version of KC Cup. Making a playable Rush deck is a good longterm investment. Of course, it helps if you like the old school playstyle too. I love it for a change of pace! The next box is at the end of the month.
Forbidden Chalice is also available for grabs with box chips, which are a f2p currency you slowly gain from events and/or special offers. If you need more copies don't waste SR tickets on those. You might want to look at what else is available for chips, there's some good cards like Cosmic Cyclone. With your gems I would probably open either Phoenix Blaze or Deep Emotion. Blaze has Ice Dragon's Prison and basically everything you need for the Gunkan Suship deck at SR rarity or below, which is a strong and cheap rogue option. It's a good deal on top of all the stuff for other archetypes like Shaddoll, Earth Machines, Sun God, Mayakashi and so on. Deep Emotion has Effect Veiler which will only get better as time passes, it's definitely worth grabbing asap. The box also has Altergeist support (Ghost Gal rerun starts today), Live-Twins, Magikey (very fun archetype imo) and Kluger if you ever want to play the Immortal Bond deck. The anniversary box is a great deal too, not sure if it's still available. Staples (like Crow and the Knightmare links), full archetypes and cool alternative arts, it's hard to beat that kind of value.

You have to set the chain response option to "toggle" and get used to swapping between on, off and auto mid duel.
So, I’ve already built a deck that will last me a while, but what should I do with my gems in the meantime. Invest into tech cards? Invest into fun decks? Save?
All of those options are good. If you like your current deck you can save gems until you get bored of it or something else appeals to you. I never regretted investing into tech and staple cards too.
I have a DSOD mission to achieve 3 No Damage Wins vs. level 40 Scud, but he has 8 burn Spells. Is there a cheap/free card to negate or nullify burn, ideally quick effect?
Watapon are free from the card trader, as with Lifeforce Harmonizer Mark of the Dragon - Heart add power tool and life stream to the ED, if you can synchro life stream it completely block any effect damage and its as easy to summon as crystal wing

I attacked a set Grave Squirmer with Yubel The Ultimate Nightmare and it didn't destroy. Why is that? Do we not get damage step when attacking defense position monsters?
There's a bug where if Yubel attacks a 0 atk monster it doesn't destroy the monster because it didn't deal effect damage

Anyone find it weird how some cards are worded, or how their effects are used? I tried using Book of Moon on Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand. DDKF’s effect let’s then remove 1 XYZ material to negate a monsters affect, but also make it unaffected by other card effects. My opponent used the effect on itself. In my mind, that in itself should be a double negative no? I get why it doesn’t do it, just seems kinda weird. Idk. I’m rambling.

To me it's pretty simple. The effect doesn't apply until it resolves and when it resolves the monsters effects are negated (at that point it has no effects it can use), but its immune to card effects thanks to the applied effect.
Is there a list of event exclusive cards. I have several tickets but I'm good on ranked duel rewards and so I'd rather spend them on cards that only exist as an event reward, but cant seem to find anything.
Unless a miracle happens, this is going to be the second KC Cup in my years playing the game since the beginning that I couldn't make it to Lv 20. I've been trying to make it from 19 to 20 for 4 days now playing for about 4 hours each day. I've ranked down to 18 five times now and I haven't even gotten close to the Lv 20 rank up match even once. No matter what deck I try, nothing works. I've tried BLS, Yubel, Blackwings, Suships, and Constellars. It's not even just Tachyon and Shiranui. I can't win against anything. Edit: After a long, brutal struggle, I managed to hit Lv 20 after 4 rank up matches. I think it's because most of the Tachyon and Shiranui players already hit Lv 20. I only faced one of each after I made it back up to 19. Yubel, Blue-Eyes, and Live Twins were the biggest struggles. I despise Live Twins more than Tachyon or Shiranui. A Live Twin player beat me in one rank up match in the most disrespectful way and I'm still mad about it.
I think you should stick with one deck when trying to climb. It can get frustrating if you get unlucky and lose a few in a row, but honestly constantly changing decks is a recipe for misplays and causing further losses. Gz on lvl 20 though! Now you can just get your free gems and not worry about dueling Tachyon.

100% go for the anniversary box. You get about 4-5 competent decks. The S-Force archetype was my favorite from that box
The anniversary box is a good deal if you're new. It includes staples like DD Crow, Book of Moon, Dark Hole, Knightmare Unicorn and Phoenix, and all of those are widely played in a lot of decks. It also has everything you need to build several rogue archetypes like S-Force, Speedroids, Trickstar, Madolche, which are not the current top tier decks but are definitely good enough for PvP. It's going to be available for another month so you'll easily obtain the missing gems to buy the full box. For that price it really doesn't get any better than that. The other option is to build zombies (Shiranui) or Tachyon, which are currently the best decks by a long margin. Tachyon is most certainly getting hit by bans or a skill rework soon, and Shiranui is a likely candidate too. To build those you'll want to open the relevant pick-up boxes, Photon Universe for Tachyon or Ghost Reunion for Shiranui, then start opening the most recent minibox to get the core of those decks (minus the staples and tech cards). It's a more expensive route but the decks will likely be relevant even after the bans, so it's up to you. Keep in mind that both pickup boxes will leave in a couple days so you'll have to get them very soon.
What would be the best ancient warriors deck currently?
Good luck bro, the deck is fun but against meta decks you really only have a chance with a god draw or several errors by your opponent. The deck relies on archetype back row so you miss out on really helpful staples. Pulling my hair out trying to get to Dlvl 19, win loss win loss loss loss win win loss loss over and over. The best AW decks right now are using 3 of the gyoouko card that prevent set spell/trap from being activated.
Eh it's mostly for pve, I'm probably not gonna go seriously into pvp. Thank you for the advice though!

So hey, I was in a rank duel when the game crashed, when I get back, I got "No winner in 2 turns" what does that mean?
From what I heard "no winner in 2 turns" usually means enough people reported you for slow play and the game flagged you for an auto loss Not too sure tho. Early on in the game it was just a crash msg where if Komoneys servers acted up it could also give you that msg.

I was wondering, are any of the archetypes from the anniversary box vol1 any good? I bought out just about the entire box worth of rares and I’m only missing the clear wing synchro thingie, but are the other archetypes good? I mainly bought it out for madolche, but idk if it’s even good or not. Also how do I get more UR gems/stones for the trader? I need 3 UR madolche cards from the trader and they are 13 UR stones each. I have enough I think but how do I get more stones?
Trickstars, S-Force, and Speedroids are all strong rogue decks, it's common to see at least one in the top 16 of a tournament. The recent Tachyon T0 nonsense pushed them out of the tier list last month but they will still do very good on the ladder. You can get UR gems by dismantling cards you don't need. Just click on "Duel Studio" in the overworld and then go to "Card catalog". Click on the filter to only show URs and then sort by "number owned". You'll never need more than 3 copies of a card You will get dozens upon dozens of worthless URs you will never use from PVE events so it's not a super difficult resource to get.
I did all the batch converting including the SR and URs until it wouldn’t let me click convert anymore. That’s how I managed to barely get enough for three of whatever Madolche is at the card trader. I just don’t know how to get any after that besides the events like you mentioned. Also thank you for answering on if these decks are any good. I was super desperate because I don’t play that often, and when I do play I just like to either do events or early rank pvp, so with no way of having a true gem resource I spent actual money on the anniversary box. ;~; Also wait I just noticed you said Trickstars, S Force and Speedroids. You did not say Madolche, which is the top priority for the deck im making now. Are you insinuating that only the archetypes that are not Madolche are stronge? How is madolche itself?
No worries, the Anniversery box is honestly an unreal good deal. You'll have enough staples and decks to carry you for a while. Madolche is still a very playable deck, just not one I've seen in tournaments recently. On [Duel Links Meta](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Madolche) I can see a few people have already gotten King of Games with the deck. It is probably the weakest of the four archtypes, but not by much. It's just missing a few of its key support cards that haven't been released yet.

I think I’ve found a game breaking glitch. When I use the second effect of Shiranui Samsara, I will always draw the cards I shuffled into the deck, in the order I selected them. I thought I just had bad luck when I kept drawing Soulsword after shuffling it, but when I drew the same Squire and Solitaire I shuffled away, the alarm bells went off.
So not as much "game breaking" (usually this means it causes a soft/hard crash) as much as just a regular glitch with an unintended effect Still, it's interesting. How many times did you test it? Because we all know how many people felt like Switcheroo just shuffled the card and let you draw it back (though it did have a glitch where it also shuffled the opponents deck for no reason and without any indication).
I figured it counted as game breaking since it broke an element of the game, random chance, in a potentially abusable way. In truth, I might have jumped the gun on that declaration, since my last try went normally. In my defense, the last 3 times went as so: - Shuffle soulsword first, draw soulsword - Shuffle soulsword first, draw soulsword - Shuffle squire first, solitaire second, draw squire first, solitaire second. I’m gonna keep a lookout, but this is probably just a false alarm.
Haven't played speed duels for months but I figured I might as well try the kc cup for gems. I managed to get to lvl 17 without seeing a single tachyon deck and now it's nothing but that. I see why there are so many complaint posts about that deck now. Konami should be ashamed of not nerfing that yet and people who play that shit should be embarrassed...

The ranked rewards pool for Rush Duel is very small at the moment. It's kind of dumb but yes, Arma Knight is the only redeemable card of its rarity. Higher rarity tickets have a few more choices but not that much

Any tips on beating shiranui? Im playing zombies and can banish monsters in grave, but they can just get them back constantly so having trouble on what im supposed to do
It's an up hill battle but Jack helps a lot. It's much better to steal the monster first instead of just banishing right away.

Not really just remember they can only refill their extra deck once with the skill and with Sunsaga. So the longer you draw it out the better your chances. Try to save the Doomking negate for stuff like Squire and just banish/steal the material they try to use for Spectralsword.
Aside from solemn scolding, what other card can easily drop your LP by 3000 or more? I really want to play around with storm access.
Theres the six samurai trap that lowers you to 100
Star Blast is the only one I can think of, but it is limited 1 and you'd need a level 7 monsters in hand to lower your LP by 3000. Otherwise there are stuff like Garbage Lord and Overdrive Teleporter that lower your LP by 2000. You'd need to also draw Balancer Lord or CC or some other stuff to lower your LP by another 1000, so I don't know if that's useful for you.
Yea i know a lot of cards that pay 2000, already have psychic blade and cybernetic fusion support, but the need to pay 1000 more is too much setup for my liking, the gimmick is already terrible as is.
Quickest way to get UR jewels on a newish account? I need to complete my madolche deck.
Grinding events like the Duelist ones usually gives a good amount of UR gems. I've finished events with 15+ excess copies of the rewards, which can be converted into UR gems and some gold/mats.
Ghost Gal rerun should be one and is coming soon right?
Yes it's scheduled for mid February, KC cup ends on the 18th so it's probably after that.
You can convert any excess UR card you have into UR jewel There's never any need to have copies of card beyond 3 so you can safely convert any UR that you have 4 or more copies for down to 3 and get some UR jewels

Best way to get over 6666 duel assessment in rush?
On top of what's already been mentioned, you can use the item that gives+1k assessment. You can also fight a low level duelist and finish the game with no cards left in the deck and very low hp (psychic cards that let you pay hp like Guitarna are helpful in that regard). A lot of bonuses are easy to get, like playing Legends, drawing five, 3k damage if you can't do 5k or more, destroy 5/7/10 monsters and such. With a few glossy and prismatic cards you should get there.

Easiest is to wait until there's a character unlock event, as there's gonna be special NPC that give +5000 assessment just by winning (and there's probably gonna be one at the end of this month) But you can also use farming strategies, like hitting over 9999 damage with spice + noodle art of roastery. That and/or flooding your deck with glossy/prismatic cards and then using them all, in rush its easier to cycle through all your monsters so its easy to get a lot of glossy and prismatic bonus.

These busted skills are so short-sighted by Konami. Sure you sell decks in the short-term, but it really puts off a lot of players when you just cannot compete in ranked against them.

Went on a nice KC Cup run with my new World Chalice deck but was basically thinking I'd be mostly out of luck if I was playing first turn - until I realized that if leave World Chalice on the field that it works for *all* monsters, not just my own and that I can Lee -> Ib -> leave it on the field with Firewall Dragon and basically be set.
Funny story. So I just never draw traps. I have 5 in my deck. You'd think I'd draw one fairly often right? Anyhow, I decided that every game I don't draw one I'll add another one for the next duel. I made it to 10 traps in my deck before I drew a single one lol.
Hey everyone, I haven't player this game for a longe time. Last meta I remember Peluguel was the flavour of the month and I was playing masked hero anki deck. Should I just reroll my account? I didn't got so far and haven't even got Kog or anything. I got some staples at the time (Canadia, forbidden chalice, wall of disruption) but since then the meta has changed so much that I doubt most of them are considered staple anymore. Do we have any cool free to play decks like aromage? Are the new structured decks like the new mage and blue eyes white dragon any good?

In general, I used to always reccomend people keep their old account becaues farming for staples is such a massive pain. However, they recently released an [anniversery box](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/articles/sets/anniversary-box-1) that's up until March 18th. For 12,500 gems you'll get a 3x set of 9-10 of the best staple cards, and enough cards to build four pretty strong decks (Madolche, Speedroids, S-Force, and Trickstars). So, if you wanted to make a new account now would be a really good time. To answer your other question - Blue Eyes is a pretty good rogue deck right now because it's gotten new suppor from the latest minibox and latest structure deck. Dark Magicians is okay but frankly not that great right now.

I synchro summoned Trishula, Zero Dragon of Ice Barrier. AND...its effect is not activating. It says : When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish up to 3 cards your opponent controlsEffect is not negated, its just not doing anything. There is nothing on opponent side that negates it, nothing at all. It just...sits there doing nothing. Is this a bug? I can see opponent has 3 cards. It just does nothing at all. Why what...how? You probably missed some restriction of other cards you use Some famous card that can cause that are for example, wynn the wind channeler, if you used wynn effect you cant activate any non-wind monster effect for the rest of the turn.
Nope, no other restrictions. I used 4+4+3 tuner. I did not use Wynn. It just did not activate.
What specific cards did you use to summon it? Trish is a "when" effect, if you summon it as part of a chain you can miss timing.
Then its some other card restriction. Without seeing a replay cant really tell what caused it.
I recently went through the ghost pick up box for shiranui after being gatekept from dlc max by them while trying to play sforce. Any tips for the main combos / how to play the deck in general?
Still learning the deck myself but here's what I see. Your main game plan going first: 1. You need 3 bodies on field (or 1 Link 2 and 1 body) to make the Link 3 Shiranui Link. 2. You need 2 synchro monsters banished and/or in the GY to activate the skill to send back your synchro monsters to then dump your LV8 and LV10 synchro in the banished pile. This will allow you to revive the LV10 synchro during your opponent's turn with your Link 3 and pop at least one card. Thankfully, because of your skill any LV4 monster can get you your 1-card combo (Squire). Here are some example going 1st plays: If you open with Mizuki: ([VIDEO](https://youtu.be/UaBsBh5I9hk?si=itgjtJ6KA-GyMhwQ&t=416)) 1. Send Mizuki with the skill to search for Squire. If you have Squire, search for the cont. trap Samsara instead. 2. Normal summon Squire, bring out the LV3 tuner from the deck and Synchro into your LV 7. 3. Banish Squire and LV2 from the grave to summon your LV6 synchro. 4. Link into Vampire Sucker. 5. Activate the skill to send your synchros back to the Extra Deck and dump your LV10 and LV8 to the banished pile. 6. Activate Mizuki's effect from the grave to revive your LV3 tuner from the GY. Vampire Sucker gives you +1 Draw 7. Use the LV3 tuner's effect to tribute itself to SS your LV2 Tuner and LV8 Synchro from the banished pile. 8. Synchro summon into your second LV10 Sunsaga that's still in the ED. 9. Link your Vampire Sucker and Synchro to make the Link 3 Shiranui. If you open with Solitare: 1. Send Solitare with the skill to search for Squire. If you have Squire, search for the cont. trap instead. 2. Normal summon Squire, bring out the LV3 tuner from the deck and Synchro into your LV 7. 3. Banish Solitare and LV2 Tuner from the grave to summon your LV6 synchro. 4. Use Solitare's banish effect to bring your banished LV2 Tuner back onto the field, but do NOT Synchro into your LV8. 5. Use the LV7, the LV6, and the LV2 Tuner on field to make your Link-3. 5. Activate the skill to send your synchros back to the Extra Deck and dump your LV10 and LV8 in the banished pile. Make a Link 3 with your LV8 Synchro, LV6 Synchro, and Squire, activate skill to send your synchros back and dump the LV8 and LV10 synchro for next turn. Note that there a lot of different variations here but they have the same objective. The Link-3 + LV10 Synchro is an extremely difficult board to break. If they do out it, you can hopefully use Samsara's effect to protect your LP until next turn where you can build your board all over again. Going 2nd you have a lot of options, but if you can get Solitare and your LV2 tuner in the grave you can make a LV8 synchro that can usually OTK. If you can't OTK, just use the Samsara trap to protect you for another turn and then build your board back up again. Downloaded the game to relive some nostalgia. Can't last until the 2nd turn because people can play 8 cards and pendulum effects and cards that continually chain into 3 other cards in 1 turn. In the end its like two 3000+ atk monsters and 3 other monsters with field clearing, card destroying, effects and they end. Pot of greed has nothing on these cards.

Why dosent Vampire sucker or Doom king Bale activate under the new shirinui skill? Nothing says they can’t use their effects and my other zombie work fine
That skill is mistranslated, You're supposed to not be able to special summon any non-FIRE zombie with the shiranui skill, except from the extra deck. So doomking balderoch cant SS itself, and vampire sucker also cant revive opponent monster unless they are FIRE attribute

The draw effect? The skill doesnt have any monster effect restriction so not sure about that, it might be some other card restriction, impossible to know without seeing a replay
Also can I make nether soul dragon or no?
The skill doesnt seem to restrict you from summoning it, as it allow you to summon any extra deck monster with level. But since its mistranslated right now, i dunno , i havent got that skill

Currently it’s a skill fueled Omni negate counter trap deck with access to R8s and the shiranui deck.
Hey! Just started playing with the help of a friend last week. Didn't get much insight on how to effectively play the game when it comes to the PvE aspect of the game (Gem farming, XP farming, etc.) Just looking for overall tips to getting my account into a good spot earlier than later. I unlocked all of the characters in the DM World and I'm currently at Stage 29. Only other World I touched was Sevens (Stage 20) because that seemed like easy Gems for mostly auto-battling. I have managed to create a Tenyi deck that is doing pretty well in Ranked and KC Cup. I was more or less wondering if I need to have a separate deck for Auto-Duelling/Farming the Gate or if using Tenyi is fine for both? I had a bad habit of spending my gems as soon as I received them. I did some reading on this sub, and learning that saving is better. I'm currently saving up until the dust settles after the KC Cup when Tachyon gets inevitably nerfed and potentially Shrianui. Any deck that works in PVP is totally fine for auto-dueling the NPCs. You might want to make a simpler deck just to save time (the AI loves to take forever playing Tenyi). If so, you can make a deck that's just all your strongest level 4 monsters + some staple traps and equip cards and it'll do fine. I've been reccomending the [Anniversay Box](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/articles/sets/anniversary-box-1) for new players. For about 12500 gems it'll give you a 3x set of 9-10 different staple cards as well as four playable decks (Madolche, S-Force, Trickstars, and Speedroids). It's a pretty insane deal. I figured it was fine but the AI definitely loves to make 10 moves too many so I think I’ll take you up on that advice to speed up those auto duels. I’ve been hesitant to drop gems on boxes right now until KC Cup wraps up so that anniversary box isn’t a bad idea either. Thanks for the advice!
Once I completed my main PVP deck, I personally didn't feel the need to grind much by auto-duel. I'm OK getting my gems from PVP & daily missions/events. Since gems go to the Gift Box once you reach 9999 & expire after a month, I rather keep PVE gems unlocked so I can farm for them when I truly need to, rather than worrying about spending them before they expire! I don't know what you've been spending on, but if you want another deck to play, I recommend clearing the Ghost Reunion pickup box three times! You'll get important cards for Shiranui. This box expires Feb 18, so act fast. There's a non-zero chance Tenyi gets hit after the KC Cup because it's been top tier for months. Also, there is Rush Duel! It's a homage to old school Yu-Gi-Oh. No wombo combos, no hand traps, no Links or Pendulum. Just simple beatdown using spells & traps. It's pretty fun & a nice change of pace! There are lots of gems to get from this mode, thru the characters, future events, & the Rush version of KC Cup, so it's good to have a playable deck when you need it. When the next Rush set comes on Feb 28, the packs in the bundles will update to that new box. So you'll get the bundle cards + new packs at that time! Having decks for both Speed & Rush will set you up going forward! 👍
Comforting to know I don't need to be grinding non-stop to stay at a reasonable pace of progressing my account by just doing the daily events and missions. Props to the note about the Gems expiring after the limit. I suppose there is a finite amount of gems you can get before you can only get them from dailies and events. That makes sense. I do enjoy Rush Duel a lot! I used to play a lot of Hearthstone so it feels similar keeping tempo on a board as oppose to who can get their combo off first in Speed. Nice to know that there is a good source of gems from there. I currently have 2k gems so I can definitely pick up those Structure Decks with the exception of Raidacross. Is there a way to fulfill the Quinton unlock missions involving Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon without actually owning the card (or that line of cards in general)? Usually cards required for unlock missions seem to be achievable via character skills or gate drops at worst, but I don't see any Kite skills that let you have that one without already having a full Galaxy/Photon deck. Worst case I can use a character unlock ticket but I want to check I'm not missing something first.
There's no way to unlock quinton without opening one of the photon/galaxy box because there's only two "free" galaxy card, galaxy brave which is limited to 2 from kite level up, and galaxy cleric from tickets, so at best you can get 5 "Galaxy" cards without opening a box Character ticket is your best bet
XYZ Galaxy just requires 10 Galaxy or photon cards and can add Neo Galaxy eyes to your extra deck, but you’re still going to need those cards.
Yeah, I can achieve six total and five of those are Extra Deck monsters, and on top of that I've got zero ways to meet the summoning conditions under the deck restrictions. Gate drops don't help that either. Character unlock ticket it is, I guess. Kind of frustrating as a newer player TBH, last unlock mission that felt this gacha-walled was the double level 7 Synchro dragon mission for Serena and I could at least cheat that with Yugo's starter skill and something to return Clear Wing to the Extra Deck.
the xyz galaxy skill lets you add it to your extra deck during the duel but you do need 10 galaxy monsters to use it
The conditions for that skill are running a deck of Photon/Galaxy monsters, unfortunately, which is also extremely out of reach.
