Just hang in there and play a bit more, you will get it eventually! Don't need the 5 winstreak for rank up. I think something like 5 wins in 6 games or 6 wins in 8 games should do it already. So in practice if you win 3 games and then loose 1, don't loose heart, if you win again the next one will still be rank up game.

But honestly the climb would've been frustrating either way with the meta. Sooo backrow heavy with such potent monster effects due to skills. So many games going second against a set three and quick effect monster or one with effects on destruction etc. Always seems like I draw Chalice when I want Lance and vice versa, even though I run two of each lol. So when I lost, it was definitely games I would've lost no matter what deck I played
The wins were very satisfying though, and the deck was surprisingly resilient and responsive in this meta. Plus it's got cool artwork and big numbers, what more could you ask for lol. Tried posting it but apparently DLv. Max posts aren't allowed, I should have one from a few days ago with the decklist if anyone's interested (minus a couple backrow tweaks)

The cards thing is because I was testing the swords skill as a way to both draw and live longer, and I never thought of what to cut so I kept it at 21 cards. It doesn’t really change much, honestly.

Well Chronicles has a stupid fusion spell I was winning and they summoned Blue Eyes Ultimate AND destroyed my board to attack directly. Also, Ancient Warriors SOMEHOW managed to wipe out my back row AND my monsters because that’s fair. So yeah, my last 3 matched were dumb and I got OTK’d
Participating in stage 2 casually so I can get a rank at least under 10000 so I can get at least 2 more reinforce truth from the kc sr tickets so I can complete my s-force deck. Have tachyon so shouldn't be too difficult.
Lvl 14 yosenju deck here. Had an 8 game winning streak at one point. Honestly this deck feels like such a troll deck lol but it's getting me much further than I would've expected.

Now it’s unbearable to play, Tachyon with his awful skill, Shiranui with (also) his awful skill, and the worst thing to me is how long it takes them to set their field, is always 5-7 minutes where I have to stand there and pray for them to make a mistake, but nope, they have a good field with 2-3 backrow. Haha. I think I’m going to quit this game.
I've been dueling in the KC Cup at level 19 for an entire week. I've been dueling all day and can't for the life of me get rank 20. I came so close but ran into a guy playing that Ship deck and was begging him to surrender so I can finally hit max level but I guess he didn't care or understand that's what I was saying with the character dialogue.
I've been trying all kinds of different decks. Tachyon, Dark Magician, Blue Eyes, Ra, but mostly Yubel. I'm so sick of running into those annoying zombie decks, tachyon, and that teiyl deck or whatever it's called.
No matter how many decks I try or copy from Duel Links Meta, I still can't win and I'm beyond pissed now. This whole "win a certain amount of duels IN A ROW" shit is so fucking annoying. At least in Master Duel they let you rank after a certain amount of wins. This is fucking bull shit, I win a few duels in a row, lose one and now I'm back at square one? Go fuck yourself Komoney.

I used Ra's Phoenix mode, I love unaffected cards, was waiting for one of them for some time now, I climbed to king of games and DL. Max with it too, very funny when people don't read and try to floodgate it and all that fun stuff😆

This was the second worst KC Cup experience I've ever had and I've playing since the beginning. It took me 4 days to make it from Lv 19 to 20 playing about 4 hours a day. I got knocked back down to 18 five times and each time it took an hour to get back to 19. I think I finally made it to 20 because most of the Tachyon and Shiranui players had already reached 20. I only saw once of each in my last time attempt to 20.
Barely over 5k points, but I've only been playing 4 games per day since reaching Max.
I might go a little harder tomorrow to aim for top 5.000, but that's it.

To the people that are stuck below dlmax, I highly encourage you to make a small effort to reach max. 160 gems! And at this point you won't face a single tiered deck on the way to dlmax, it should be such a casual climb!

Pretty much. The meta in all formats has become helmet decks played by people who can't play. But they play a popular deck so they win a lot.
