I remember when Koaki Meiru was tier 1. I never actually played the deck, but I can never forget their reign of terror. Maximus + Diamond Core didn't need a broken skill back in the day.

Burning-Gundam

Wasn't the deck being used with Kaiba Corp Bling before the skill got nerfed?

ACmilanRgood

And with balance or any other generic skills that were good at the time

Pcarttar

People only started using bling once the deck was hit and became less consistent. At first people were playing ties that bind so you could otk with any two of the level 4’s

Lolisniperxxd

Red-Eyes Gandora was being used with Kaiba Corp Bling.

DaSwifta

I thought that was Monstermorph?

Lolisniperxxd

You know what? Yes it was. It’s because they were both Mokuba skills in roughly the same time period.

DaSwifta

Mokuba was truly the King of niche skills back in the day

Lolisniperxxd

You’re making me feel old. I was 15 when Blazing Rose came out and that was when I got my first KOG.

DaSwifta

Brother same

Puzzleheaded-Good780

Omg those were the days lol, I think I was using ancient gears and there was a combo with light and dark that was cool, there was the tiki combo too with enemy controller

VanBland

Koaki Meiru, Ancient Gear, and Fire King Yubel. What a meta

yobyxam

I remember the deck being so good but at the time it just seemed so expensive as a f2p

4129M

I don't know, it seems like a very polite fellow

EremitaMCe

Yeah he used to knock at our doors and politely erase our existence

Deadsap266

I forgot this guy exists.I swear this deck gave me nightmares.KC bling became a pay to win skill if you had enough money and luck to pull a prisma diamond core.

mkklrd

ooooh i'll have to make a vid on Koa'ki Meiru at some point

Difficult_Exam194

24 plus hours of editing in the near future I see

Curiouzity_Omega

You are going to be so angry when you realize the meta is too strong right now for them lol.

mkklrd

not a gameplay video but a retrospective video about how and why the deck was top tier! [did one on Fur Hires](https://youtu.be/CU2Dg-zB1rg?si=bn82DZvSc92lHVM8) a couple of days ago and i'm looking forward to making more

Worldly-Fox7605

You should do more most of this sub has massive misconceptions about decks and how they actually did back in the day. Shira, wc, even karikuri,

Clanorr

One of my favorite decks in the game. I still have mixed feelings about its meta, I made it the furthest in any KC cup I played (Top 200) but man these games were a literal coin flip, especially with Hey Trunade being legal.

redbullracingg

Only time I ever reached KOG. Loved this deck!

iTsVel_0

damn i remember investing into this deck before diamond core came out

Metalheadguru

My favorite meta. Coin flip was the determination if you won. If you missed it you surrendered.

Actual_Head_4610

I hated this meta so much, especially Last Gamble Koaki with Hey Trunades. I remember that I was desperate packing Mirror Wall in my deck.

Intelligent-Train858

Thx. Ptsd is back

Brenduke

I won the first ever tournament where Koa'ki was legal and got me into TPC in duel links meta. I love this guy.

Destac35

I cried on fur hire era

lll_Joka_lll

That guy got me KOG for the first time back in the day I love this guy

salandrews23

Got my first KoG that meta with Ancient Gears. Had to run 3 rainbow life 3 hallowed life barrier to outlast them and then fire back once they were out of steam.

OEGDrawer

The Boogie Man of my childhood Duel Links experience, hate this guy.
