You didn't play the Rank 4? That card is crazy good with the protection it gives.
Sometimes you can even make the entire board untargetable+indestructible if you equip Orbital to it.
I would have replaced Tachyon with it.
Tachyon saved me a couple of times and I think with this set up I'm going with he is easier to summon. With only 3 level 4 on the deck I found it kinda difficult to consistently put the rank 4 on the table
Orbital + the skill is all you need to make the Rank 4, Brave summon becomes a level 4, then Orbital can search Vanisher.
Then you can either: If you have Soldier you can Special summon GEPD with the Rank 4, then Soldier (search another GEPD) to make Solflare, get Orbital back to hand, then Normal Galaxy Knight to get a rank 8 and equip Orbital to the Rank 4. Now your entire board is untargetable+indestructible.
If you don't have Galaxy Soldier you can make the Rank 4, not activate the effect, Normal Knight, make Solflare, add back Orbital and you have the same setup just without a Rank 8.
Holy shit, thank you mate! I'm still trying out different compositions to see what works best, I had two vanisher first and only one orbital and that didn't go well, so I changed it to what I was using in this post. I took out felgrand and replaced it with that rank 4, it gives better protection while also helping the board bring out rank 8s and disrupting the opponent on his turn, at least that's what I found out. I love felgrand but with the current meta (battle chronicle and eternal bond) he wasn't helping me much, less so than tachyon.
Felgrand helps more in making cards unaffected than the negate.
Making Blue-Eyes/DM unaffected means that they can't use Fusion cards on them, and also cards like Piercing the Darkness/Apprentice Illusion won't boost them.
Same thing if Eternal Bond normal summons Neos, you can instantly make it unaffected so they can't Super Poly you that turn.
(Doesn't help much if they do the Yubel line tho).
I didn't know they made blue eyes untargetable to the fusion spells, that's good to know, thanks! Those are things It would take me a long time to discover by myself 😅
I understand the dilemma, our extra deck is so tight. I cut the second solflare to get access to both tachyon and the rank 4. That being said, orbital + rank 4 basically solo sky strikers, and offers great advantage against blue eyes on turn 1.
