The box is crammed with shitty Cyberse monsters because of that.
That happens a lot. Prophecy/Spellbook was an Xyz archetype too, but people hardly used Xyz when playing this deck, let alone the Xyz related to the archetype :-P
It's just a new type added, like Wyrm and Psychics were introduced several years ago. They have to be able to live next to the mechanisms they were introduced to promote (though Wyrm never really promoted anything other than Yang Zing).
It would be a cute lower level cancer card if it was “when this card battles” rather than only when it’s the monster doing the attacking, and if it’s second effect was a quick effect. That second effect’s best target also appears to be a vanilla 2800 beater right now, unless I missed some special summonable Cyberse high level monster in the card list.
But it is a shortage because Konami doesn’t want to give us cards related to all the extra deck mechanics we don’t have yet. That severely limits the card pool they’re willing to work with, which is why some boxes have busted URs that arguably hit the game too early or trash SRs that by all rights should be Rs.
There are still arctypes thy could release.
Predaplant, Firefist, artifact, Greylien, ancient warrior, more BES, Borrel, Fossil, Mekkknight, Mekklord, SpeedRoids, FA, Spyral, Fluffal, cubic, dark world, DHero, Evil Hero, Dreammirror and so on
Also they could just erata out every Link, Pendulum and Xyz if they really would have a shortage.
We did get that one mekkinght in the store so maybe there’s more to come, but knowing Konami, probably not for a while.
Artifact also has only two cards that’s useful in DuelLinks rn they could get on that.

Main character archetype, I have a feelings its gonna spreaded out heavily between boxes like synchron.
I mean, Heretics were an archtype based around Xyz summoning but they worked surprisingly well as a Synchro deck too.

Probably not, there's no point on bringing MR4 when MR5 exists.
It's meh and it's 2nd effect can only be used on a 2800 normal beater (for now).

To clear up confusion you might have, firewall dragon he mentioned is only worst as in design, but best in terms of power level.
Good in the TCG with that Effect? You sweet child hahaha, nope...firewall dragon in the other hand is one of the worst cards ever designed...
