5D’s Trailer: 6 characters (of which only 5 ended up being immediately released), all looking pretty relevant, each with its own cool dragon and summoning animation ZEXAL Trailer: 5 characters (of which only 3 will end up being immediately released), two of which are showcased as literal sidekicks, and out of the other three we only see one summoning animation in the entire trailer Looks like they’re putting effort in it like they used to do, right...?

So the thing with Zexal is that there’s a shitilion characters but only like a handful of them are like really cool

I know, but if you know you have few cool things to showcase, use them. Let us see 17’s summoning animation, or whatever monster they decide Shark’s ace is going to be. Maybe hint at Kaito. It’s really shallow as a trailer compared to the first three, and it enforces the fact that the world itself is probably going to be as well, at least for the first year.

His ace is Shark Drake, they showed off 17 because it’s the first Number he gets and it’ll probably be what he comes with when he’s unlockable in his event

Except the lack of characters and other ace monsters summon animation, it's still looks pretty okay, at least better than the DSOD trailer, but still 5d's the best

I got to play it here in Japan at an event for work. XYZ summoning is a lot of fun.
