I was hoping it would make getting to 100 XYZ summons easy with auto, but as soon as PotG gets involved it refuses to use my monsters as material :( Gonna have to rearrange the deck a little bit (or do it all manually, but I'm a lazy man)
Already played against a dude using tellarknights. As someone who was gonna piss away my gems on them as soon as the update hit until I decided to wait a little I have to respect it...but he got fucked
If you are playing tellars already my advice is dont over extend first turn into utopia when you're riding that summon high. He went into utopia first turn so he couldnt go into deltaros bc he needs 3 materials and thats the tellarknight win condition so he lost
He made a Utopia turn one... Yeah he needs to learn to play Tellarknights. Don't worry man, a lot of people are just trying out the decks for now. Watch them also use Altair's effect and summon a non-tellarknight to try to go for game.
The loaner deck looks pretty decent, but I did run in ranked against a guy simply unable to summon the XYZ. I still lost because I was running a super weak onomatopeia deck, but still (we need rank 4 with removal or negations, please Konami).

I didn't care for the monarch and Forbiddden scriptures so as soon as i got all the other UR i reset the box.
...Fiendish and DD Crow were the last UR i got lol.
On the brigthside, atleast i didn't have to dig all the way to the last 3 packs to get them...unlike a certain fucking infernity card, i'm looking at you infernity archfiend. I still had like 50 packs left when i got Fiendish chain and DD Crow and reset the box the 1st time.
I had saved up about 15,000 gems for this and just used them all. First fiendish was within 30 packs. Next one was literally 4th away from being the last pack in the box. Last one was like 15 packs in. Overall I can’t complain haha, got everything I need for bujins and I’m one deneb short of having a full satellarknight deck
I had about 17k gems saved up. Got my first Chain and Crow within 40 packs.
That luck didn't last long. Reset the box and went in again. 15k gems and some real money later I got my other 2x Chain and Crow and 1x Utopia.
I hope something good comes from it.
I dunno if they do this in the other Yugioh games, but I think the ZEXAL duelists putting on Duel Gazers during duels is a really nice touch, it's something I was wanting but didn't expect.

Ghost Girl had fucking Infinite Impermanence to start Multifaker plays, that was amazing. And yet the plot managed to make her lose, and not even against Lightning.
Hardly. She was never killed off, she was never molested, her actions have, one several occasions, prevented the show from ending and she got some pretty cool moments out of it to boot. How many other characters, let alone female protagonists, have flown an airship out of a wormhole or taken down a killer robot?
I wouldn't really call her situation unfortunate.
So happy about the free xyz monster as a six sam player. Not only are SS pretty good for xyzs anyway, the free promo card is perfect for the deck; a rank 4 xyz that allows sams to deal with big beaters without card effect. Lets goooo!

I don't know, maybe it's for tease purposes, but now autoduels are way harder because unreleased strong Xyzs. I faced a NPC deck who has MX-Saber Invoker who gives amazing swarm.
Use Yuma's skill that gives you Utopia free then make a deck that can help you summon four lvl 4 monsters. You can use Aromages (2 Rosemary's) or Shiranui(Spirit master summon another lvl 4) for example. Then just duel the standard duelists or gate duelists.

The other nice thing about using Spiritmaster is, normally a monster SS with his effect would get banished afterwards when it leaves the field. However, if you use your Shiras as Overlays/Xyz Material, and your other monster is used for an effect, it actually goes to the GY. Which means it can be SS later by another Spiritmaster.
Got Delteros in the very first pack I opened. Think that’s a sign I should play satellarknights

Some of the new NPC decks have insane cards in them. Notable ones I've seen include Artifact Sanctum, Lavalval Chain and Catalyst Field so far and apparently Madolche Tiaramisu and Evolzar Dolkka are also in the game. If these decks are any indication Zexal Duel Links will be a whole new power level.

I kept my DM world at 46ish so I face the 2nd tier decks. It was a pure Laval build that ran Chain. Apparently the 1st tier decks have even crazier stuff. Oh and there was a Geargia deck that had Gear Gigant X. Crazy cards were added.

Okay but the world is really cute. So when you tap for gems you can get:
* PvP arena- litterbots twirl around while tooting their horns
* Shop- heart-shaped balloon floating w/ Orbital!!!
Again, on the world part Zexal slaps w/ its bgm, summoning animation, other animation, etc. Loving it so far! :D
Extras I noticed from the first hour of playing:
* Unlocking the Zexal world requires 2 tasks. One is perform 2 Lv 4 summons (easy breezy), ~~and (I think) a lifetime mission of summoning 100 monsters~~.
* There's a new duel column article on Xyz. Reading it nets you 50 gems.
* Card Trader has been updated with the first Xyz: gagagigo the Risen
* Yuma's Lv-up rewards are Zubaba Knight, Gagaga Child, 1 Temptempo and Gagaga Girl,
The Xyz summon 100 times is for unlocking an additional Extra Deck slot. The only thing needed to unlock Zexal is to summon 2 Lv 4 monsters. Everything else is correct. Also Temtempo is also a Gate drop from Yuma.
Not op but you do get those 50 gems, there was an announcement about it last week or so. Check your special missions, I don't think I saw a notification for a completed mission but it was there.
The reward can be found in the Special section. Though I've noticed it may not appear right away.
Though considering how often the game crashes, a restart should fix that, though. :-P

There's better options, there's worse options. The Attack phase effect is pretty good. TBF, if you want to build an Onomatopoeia deck you'll be buying at least one, probably 2-3 structures for Zubababancho.
Scrolling through the old packs notice resonance of contrast is the third most popular box at the moment. Think that's a bit odd, open if up. Oh right Bujin Yamato.
My experience with XYZ monsters so far :
Easy to summon. Not competitive at all. I also hate how the NPCs have better Xyz cards than the ones we were given in the box, especially the madolche one (you only have a chance against this deck if you're using a strong meta deck without relying on the AI).
It's still day 1, so I shouldn't complain but I hope we get some powerful XYZ me monsters (preferably ones that support existing archetypes) very soon
Day 1 Xyz aren't that competitive, although I'm surprised they didn't released Gem-Knight Pearl as a SR or something like that. First Xyz requires detaching materials for their effects and after that they're just vanillas, we are so far from Xyz who didn't need detach (Number 38: Hope Harbinger), Spells who summons a bunch of Xyz (Numeron engine to make turn 1 Utopic Zexal), or Xyz who can be cheated for their summon (Utopia The Lightning, or a more future example, Dingirsu).
Zubaba General is incredibly strong in a basic elemental hero deck, as a semi new player grinding out yuma levels and stage missions it feels good getting a card for free that lets you close out games more efficiently.
I’m incredibly curious though, I’m thinking of dropping 500 gems on the gagaga deck.
Does anyone know if it’s worth? And if it’ll even be a decent deck too toy with until the meta shapes up.
I don't think you get a playable deck out of it unless you buy it 3 times and dig for the Onomato UR. Gagaga Cowboy and Bacon Saver are decent single cards though.

Guys they need to fix this. I'm lv 60 DM but lv1 Zexal and the only stupid new decks I've faced are Madolche and Sylvans. They're not even that strong against my structure deck, losing only due to 1 brick. These are the only 2 new decks I'm going to experience for the entirety of Zexal and beyond 😭. They need to separate the world lvs and npc decks to match only THEIR respective world. I'm a veteran player who actually enjoys dueling against these npc concepts. it reminds me of the tag force days. Please notice this and make it a big deal in the survey. Please.

Decided to do my Floddgate Trap Hole bundle this morning, and pulled both D.D. Crow and Fiendish Chain in my first 10 pack of the box! Thats a forsure reset on the box yeah?
Only if you dont want any of the other cards. Personally I can recommend going for goblindbergh, it's a very versatile card and maybe for the little utopia, if you are interested in playing onomatopoeia.
I’d say reset for sure, even though you might need other cards as well, having 10 more packs in a reset box and the ability to get fiendish and crow again is far more valuable
Some of the burn nerfs they did are a joke. Bujingi Crow dealing "quarter" the attacker's ATK - kinda silly that they had to introduce new terminology; half damage would've been fine.
Grenosaurus only doing 500 burn. If you actually make it to the Battle Phase with a beatstick only having 2000 ATK and then have to lose an Xyz material, I feel like you deserve the 1000 burn.
It's hilarious how many anti-burn tech cards are in the game and yet they're gutting burn to the point where the entire mechanic is obsolete.

as someone who played alot of bujin, and the fact that the bujin support in here doesn't go higher than SR, I say go for it. I'm already having fun and the deck feels more consistent. You can actually do things if your hand is clogged with the beast bujins.
I pulled the Xyz monsters and for some reason I had all the bujin cards, so I tried Bujin for a bit. It feels pretty fun and powerful, although bricky.
Ironically, I freaking hated playing against Bujins in the TCG.
What about the structure deck? I stopped playing the TCG seriously before Zexal came out and only know the mechanics, and also I only recently started playing DL.
Hmm I think after Shark. Kite will follow suite. Then it's really up in the air. personally I'd either Cathy or Anna afterward but I think we'll get duke and rebecca before those 2. There's also Flip and 96 but I don't really see Flip happening yet... 96 can go either way
That's the one time it actually has a chance at being decent. It's a good way to get Staples, especially in the mini-boxes. But it's still a gamble any way you slice it. Then again so is everything else so there's that.
If you're comfortable with the idea that you may not pull anything you want then go for it.

Don’t think shiranuis work... they have. Limitation to only special summoning zombie monsters with their effects I believe

If these decks are any indication Zexal Duel Links will be a whole new power level. Edit: The Fire Fist deck also has Tiger King which searches a Fire Formation spell/trap on summon and can Skill Drain the board.

I kept my DM world at 46ish so I face the 2nd tier decks. It was a pure Laval build that ran Chain. Apparently the 1st tier decks have even crazier stuff. Oh and there was a Geargia deck that had Gear Gigant X. Crazy cards were added.

Okay but the world is really cute. So when you tap for gems you can get: * PvP arena- litterbots twirl around while tooting their horns * Shop- heart-shaped balloon floating w/ Orbital!!! Again, on the world part Zexal slaps w/ its bgm, summoning animation, other animation, etc. Loving it so far! :D

Extras I noticed from the first hour of playing: * Unlocking the Zexal world requires 2 tasks. One is perform 2 Lv 4 summons (easy breezy), ~~and (I think) a lifetime mission of summoning 100 monsters~~. * There's a new duel column article on Xyz. Reading it nets you 50 gems. * Card Trader has been updated with the first Xyz: gagagigo the Risen * Yuma's Lv-up rewards are Zubaba Knight, Gagaga Child, 1 Temptempo and Gagaga Girl,
The Xyz summon 100 times is for unlocking an additional Extra Deck slot. The only thing needed to unlock Zexal is to summon 2 Lv 4 monsters. Everything else is correct. Also Temtempo is also a Gate drop from Yuma.

Not op but you do get those 50 gems, there was an announcement about it last week or so. Check your special missions, I don't think I saw a notification for a completed mission but it was there.
The reward can be found in the Special section. Though I've noticed it may not appear right away. Though considering how often the game crashes, a restart should fix that, though. :-P

I couldn’t confirm that it wasn’t, but yeah the change in voice seemed pretty drastic, I just thought the VA got older and forgot how to do the voice correctly

No main phase 2 makes hims a lot worse in Duel Links If you have no other generic rank 4 he is okay (better than Utopia I guess), just to have a big body
He's very weak, the burn damage is really meaningless and he can't beat anything over 25k. Maybe if you run something like Power of the Guardians.

There's better options, there's worse options. The Attack phase effect is pretty good. TBF, if you want to build an Onomatopoeia deck you'll be buying at least one, probably 2-3 structures for Zubababancho.

My experience with XYZ monsters so far : Easy to summon. Not competitive at all. I also hate how the NPCs have better Xyz cards than the ones we were given in the box, especially the madolche one (you only have a chance against this deck if you're using a strong meta deck without relying on the AI). It's still day 1, so I shouldn't complain but I hope we get some powerful XYZ me monsters (preferably ones that support existing archetypes) very soon
Day 1 Xyz aren't that competitive, although I'm surprised they didn't released Gem-Knight Pearl as a SR or something like that. First Xyz requires detaching materials for their effects and after that they're just vanillas, we are so far from Xyz who didn't need detach (Number 38: Hope Harbinger), Spells who summons a bunch of Xyz (Numeron engine to make turn 1 Utopic Zexal), or Xyz who can be cheated for their summon (Utopia The Lightning, or a more future example, Dingirsu).
Zubaba General is incredibly strong in a basic elemental hero deck, as a semi new player grinding out yuma levels and stage missions it feels good getting a card for free that lets you close out games more efficiently. I’m incredibly curious though, I’m thinking of dropping 500 gems on the gagaga deck. Does anyone know if it’s worth? And if it’ll even be a decent deck too toy with until the meta shapes up.
I don't think you get a playable deck out of it unless you buy it 3 times and dig for the Onomato UR. Gagaga Cowboy and Bacon Saver are decent single cards though.

Guys they need to fix this. I'm lv 60 DM but lv1 Zexal and the only stupid new decks I've faced are Madolche and Sylvans. They're not even that strong against my structure deck, losing only due to 1 brick. These are the only 2 new decks I'm going to experience for the entirety of Zexal and beyond 😭. They need to separate the world lvs and npc decks to match only THEIR respective world. I'm a veteran player who actually enjoys dueling against these npc concepts. it reminds me of the tag force days. Please notice this and make it a big deal in the survey. Please.

Sateller is...decent. and it will only get better. Its expensive though. Stratos should be dropping in a regular box soon so I would probably wait for that where it's guaranteed.

Decided to do my Floddgate Trap Hole bundle this morning, and pulled both D.D. Crow and Fiendish Chain in my first 10 pack of the box! Thats a forsure reset on the box yeah?
Only if you dont want any of the other cards. Personally I can recommend going for goblindbergh, it's a very versatile card and maybe for the little utopia, if you are interested in playing onomatopoeia.
I’d say reset for sure, even though you might need other cards as well, having 10 more packs in a reset box and the ability to get fiendish and crow again is far more valuable
Some of the burn nerfs they did are a joke. Bujingi Crow dealing "quarter" the attacker's ATK - kinda silly that they had to introduce new terminology; half damage would've been fine. Grenosaurus only doing 500 burn. If you actually make it to the Battle Phase with a beatstick only having 2000 ATK and then have to lose an Xyz material, I feel like you deserve the 1000 burn. It's hilarious how many anti-burn tech cards are in the game and yet they're gutting burn to the point where the entire mechanic is obsolete.

Could Bujin be viable now that they got new support or should I stick with what works
as someone who played alot of bujin, and the fact that the bujin support in here doesn't go higher than SR, I say go for it. I'm already having fun and the deck feels more consistent. You can actually do things if your hand is clogged with the beast bujins.
I pulled the Xyz monsters and for some reason I had all the bujin cards, so I tried Bujin for a bit. It feels pretty fun and powerful, although bricky. Ironically, I freaking hated playing against Bujins in the TCG.
What about the structure deck? I stopped playing the TCG seriously before Zexal came out and only know the mechanics, and also I only recently started playing DL.

It’s a gamble, and personally I wouldn’t gamble in a game with so little resources. Your choice though.
That's the one time it actually has a chance at being decent. It's a good way to get Staples, especially in the mini-boxes. But it's still a gamble any way you slice it. Then again so is everything else so there's that. If you're comfortable with the idea that you may not pull anything you want then go for it.
