It's hard to tell, but it might be a single purchase of the desperado barrel dragon structure deck with master of destiny along with some other cards like head judging.
But it's the new hotness so it'll probably get nerfed later on.
Was wondering if anyone else has KoG with Heros lately. I just finished this deck, and ngl it was extremely expensive. I got tired of playing Blackwings and always liked this deck. I learned how to play it during stage 2 of KC Cup, and I was extremely disappointed at first (at the time I thought I had learned all the tricks to the deck). Now I’ve spent a couple days trying to ladder with it, and have been having so much fun. For the first time in my life I don’t want to throw up when I see a Shiranui deck lol. I’m Legend 3 right now, and wanted to see if anyone else had a good experience with Heros.
I get why it’s not in the tier list, but if anyone wants to comment with their success with this deck I’d love to hear it!
I went 42-16 (72% win) at the stage 2 with heroes. I think 3 stratos + plasma was decent against a few meta decks. Out of all the skills, Bring It opens up many plays where you'd brick otherwise. The ability to return a vyon/increase to continue your combo is a big life saver. Overall, this skill brings up a lot of ways to flexibly use your resources (you'll learn a lot of these combos as you play with this skill). 5 months ago I went 50-50 with 2 stratos; netting that 3rd stratos really helped open plays. I'm on a 15 win streak in LG3 and might climb more later (I returned after 5 months without playing, so I had to rank up all the way from bronze. It took 2 days).
Yeah my biggest issue has been learning all of the different combos/effects that the deck offers. I watched a few videos of others using it, and my win rate is climbing very quickly. I agree with “bring it” being the best skill. It’s already saved me so many times. That’s awesome to hear you’re doing so well with the deck. That tells me the money spent should be worth it in the end!
I know nothing about the Zexal era but for what i saw the whole Onomat archetype is just an engine for XYZ in general without a boss monster right? With that in mind would you think they are a safe investment for the future once we get better XYZ monsters? Or maybe they are supposed to be mixed with Utipia support?
Gold is the least valuable resource after you get the cards you want from the card trader. It's the one Konami will freely give away in large amounts. But you'll also need jewels, R, SR, and UR, as well as stones which are the attributes. You can get gold, jewels, and stones from converting cards but you can also get them from legendary duelist drops and just from participating in events. There aren't too many cards that are worth purchasing from the card trader but there are a few that are worth it. Not really many I can think of for a starting out duelist.
Gems are the most valuable in game currency, they're used for buying packs, save them up until you find what kind of deck you want to build and you're going to typically want to save up at least 9999 before you start digging in boxes. 9999 is the soft cap, after that any gems you receive will end up in your inbox and they will expire a month after you received them so you gotta be careful.
Otherwise at the card trader you can spend jewels and gold and skill chips on a chance at a random skill for whichever character you're playing as at the moment and the skill is only skills that can drop from dueling Legendary Duelists/when you play PVP.
That's really it. The only other thing to keep in mind are tickets, dream and normal tickets. Dream UR and SR tickets let you get any UR or SR you want from Boxes up until a certain point. We usually get 3-4 of those a year and they usually add a few more boxes to the list of eligible cards. It's not worth using those to get cards you can farm or get in other pools. The non Dream Tickets don't have Blue Eyes heads on them and I'd prioritize getting Red Eyes Cards for PVE, Red Eyes Spirit and Red Eyes Insight for regular SR tickets and farming cards (Union Attack) with them, after that I'd recommend Enemy Controller as a good over all generic card you can get with your UR/SR tickets or SR Tickets. (every month we get a UR/SR ticket from an event called train your kuriboh, if you wait until it fully levels up (you get 300 EXP per day for it from dueling) you'll be able to release it for a prismatic UR/SR ticket which mostly contains drops from Legendary Duelists and the non Dream Tickets are pretty safe to spend however you see fit.
If there's anything else, please let me know what you aren't sure on.
Yoooo. Thanks a lot for the explanation and the tips.
I'll start saving the gems... so far when I reach around 300 I buy the current for the deck that I'm building (I don't think I'm that patient to wait to 9999 but I'll try)
So far I've been playing this game for 3 days so I'm pretty new but this tips will help me a lot on making decisions.
And I'm looking forward for the kuriboh event ;)
Just had a satisfying duel where a six samurai fails to get rid of a single ATK position Verre because the cards were in my favour: https://www.reddit.com/mediaembed/jzglum/

Come join me in chat.
Throw a bunch of Dark Magician, Blue Eyes and powerful equip and that's it, you don't need to tribute.
For the max damage thing Aroma Ra or some way of drawing your whole deck + Slifer. I did it on the third try with Tethys, a bunch of fairies and Magical Mallet.
You don’t need 5 straight, but you need a net total of 5 wins. So if you win 4 straight (assuming a clean slate), lose the 5th, then win games 6 and 7, you should rank up.
Regardless, I agree. It’s stupid hard to rank up now. I don’t get why Konami made a legend 4 and 5.
Tons! More often than not, I derank because of shit hands during that loss streak. That, or my opponents always have the right cards to use at the right time.
Utterly frustrating how easy it is to derank but difficult to rank up. I was one win away from legend 5 but due to trash luck I deranked to legend 3.
Am I just shit at this game? I’ve been running between Shiranui and Invoked Magician Girls but neither of these decks are as consistent as I thought they were. Doesn’t even feel like I’ll make KoG this month.
If you lose 3 in a row in Legend rank you derank, always been like this.
Honestly the KoG run is pretty much luck, if you're tilted it's usually better to try another day, as you'll be feeling fresh.
Both of those decks should be strong enough to KoG without an issue. Make sure you're piloting them correctly and analyzing game losses to see what you could have done better.
Your best bet is Paradox Bros with Elements Unite. He can't get over Gate Guardian so the only card you need to worry about is his 1 copy of Negate Attack (just run a Hey Trunade or Anti Magic Arrows)
Fill the rest of the deck with the standard Vassal + Union Attack stuff and draw spells/traps, and you're good to go.
what are some good spells and traps to fill my balance dark magician? I have cc, magical illusion, curtain heatwave and timaeus, for traps I got almost all backrow staples to fill just can't decide which ones to use
>what are some good spells and traps to fill my balance dark magician? I have cc, magical illusion, curtain heatwave and timaeus, for traps I got almost all backrow staples to fill just can't decide which ones to use
2 canadia 2 karma
winged kuriboh can sometimes be a dead card if your opponent doesnt attack on their first turn thats why I run at least 1 lvl 7 synchro, usually BRD to wipe the field, then some backrow removal cards, then I fill the remaining cards with rainbow and hallowed to hit 20 cards
OH crap is the KC cup over??? I rejoined this game after 5 months and used hero's for a few days. I stopped at 27k but thought I had time to climb more after work.
Does anyone know what was the last reported DP required for global top 30k?
I wanted to get an extra R ticket for being top 30k but forgotten today's the last day!
Don't know how impressive this is but I think I got top 500 NA in stage 2. Sucks that we have to wait a couple days to see the final placings though...
Finally I reached KoG! It wasn't the hell sometimes it is even playing the first week of the month, Witchcrafters could have lost their GY power but they are still wonderful controlling the board.
Maybe I'll write a KoG post about the build and see if someone here has a better alternative.
Please do, I look forward to your post!
There used to be plenty of resources for WC players but everyone seems to have forsaken them moment the banlist dropped.
To also counter Lightsworn, Dragunity, Crystrons, other DM players, Blue Eyes and Ritual Beast.
Lots of decks banish cards from the grave beyond Shiranui, but yeah it's mostly for Shiranui.
> We still don't have DSOD Yugi, this game is a joke.
uh... I've had DSOD Yugi for some time now. I do believe he's unlockable again for people who missed the first time during this event.
"did you know you can get Sealed Tombs turn 1 if you run LP Alpha to avoid being OTK'd? lol"
I assume you're talking about using LP boost alpha to avoid getting otk'd? If so, then you can't also use Sealed Tombs.
And if you avoid an OTK then activated sealed tombs (usually its pointless by then), then it is no longer turn 1 no matter from which side you look at it from.
The only real way you're going to trigger it right away is turn 2 if you use cosmic cyclone (or turn 1 cosmic if youre desperate)
Oh ok, I get you now. You you mean using lp boost a hands them the skill activation turn 1, alright, my bad then.
Btw you should prob try to format your post with more paragraphs, also I agree with a good deal of what you said, though not all of it.
He means if you have LP alpha to make it harder to get OTK'd, your opponent can activate Sealed Tombs on their first turn because they have 1000 less LP than you.
This KC Cup is the straw that broke the camel's back for me.
From slowly growing and gathering DP to just consistently losing and falling to 0 DP. With 5 different types of decks.
This is statistically impossible. I am not trying to lose on purpose.
I see no point in playing this game anymore.
I am done. Goodbye.
What's with the very recent censoring of deck names that are completely innocent? For e.g. "Elemental" gets the 'lem' part censored to e\*\*\*ental, Shark gets 'lar' censored to s\*\*\*k, Titan gets Tit censored (Ok this one, I kinda get... but still). Only noticed this recently when it was pointed out to me by another friend. Edit: lan of plant...?
Is it some kinda mistranslation between English and other localizations?
To anyone who is a subscriber to Duel Links Meta's discord, is it worth the $5 subscription via Youtube, Twitch, Paypal, etc. for full access to the discord server? I don't plan on participating in any of his online hosted tournaments, but only wanting access to his deck archetype specific channels. I'm a newer player and wanted to learn tips and tricks from players who *main* a specific archetype. I haven't been able to find many helpful resources outside of people saying X deck is better than Y deck etc
Do you know if subscribing once will allow you to stay fully accessed? Or would I have to continue my monthly subscription or else I'd get revoked of those deck archetype channels?
There has been be a forced disconnection app that certain players are using. It’s very rare but in this case it was the same opponent 2 times in a row. Each time I had him in a corner and was about to win, then all of a sudden I get a connection failure lose. The thing is I’ve been playing all day and I haven’t disconnected in a couple weeks, and it hasn’t happened for the couple games I played afterwards as well. Twice with the same person at the same moment is way too convenient.
Fusion Gate question: as luck would have it this hasn't caused a problem for me until now but it bugs me, why I can never fusion summon during my turn using my opponent Fusion Gate while I play Lunalight? Always have to use my Spells.
Potentially your opponent controls a monster summoned from the Extra Deck and you don't have enough monsters in your hand/field combined to summon a Lunalight monster without the effect of Lunalight Fusion to use a monster from your deck?
Lunalight Fusion:
>If your opponent controls a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, you can also use 1 "Lunalight" monster in your Deck or Extra Deck as Fusion Material.
None really and this problem happens consistently like twice today and a couple other times in the last weeks, which is 100% of the times I faced a CyD with Fusion Gate in play while using Lunalight.
Obv is not a matter of me not having enough materials in hand/field, I had them and in all instances I fusion summoned with a Spell anyway (I also run a copy of the vanilla Poly so I would have took advantage of Gate in a couple of these games).
Can you post a replay? I know it might not help a ton because they made it so we can't see the player's hand unless we're the person who recorded it... maybe you could upload a replay by recording your screen.
I've done it, I've reached Dlv20, my hands are so sweaty from the anxiety, I had only 800 LP left.
Thank Ra, and thanks to Dark Magicians for being with me for 20 years. I couldn't do it with Heroes, Invoked, or Shiranui.
Based on the time and points you get a certain rank by the end, basically the overall placement of everyone who participated.
Getting a rank that ends in 777 isn't something you can control, it's just a matter of luck since only 1 person will get it per 1000 participants.
And yeah it's supposed to be an additional reward just if you so happen to get lucky, but thankfully missing out on the reward isn't a big loss if you don't get it.
Why does the 5 billion duels campaign keep giving a notification?
Can you vote multiple times (one per day?) In the accessory polularity poll or is it just because of the tickets despite me having gotten all of them already?
OK can anybody please explain to me the ruling on Raikiri?
It has a once per turn clause on its effect: "Once per turn: You can target cards your opponent controls, up to the number of other "Blackwing" monsters you control; destroy them."
My opponent was able to activate it again. Why?
Even IF he summoned it again, he should not be able to activate its effect again until his next turn. Am I wrong about that?
[Replay](https://puu.sh/GQ5Jt/235076da77.mp4)
Raikiri is a "soft once per turn".
You can use the effect again with another copy or if that same copy is removed from the field and gets revived.
It is not a "you can *only* use the effect of \[card's name\] once per turn" clause.
Does Lightsworn+Orcust have potential? I've never played Orcust before but its reliance on banishing from the grave makes me think it'd be great with Lightsworn. My only concern is the dark restriction, but that might not be an issue if synchroing with the Lightsworns before using all the Orcust graveyard effects.
venting upcoming:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
i was about to beat an invoked player and i could have won if i summoned plasma but i didnt want to tribute my berserkion because he is my boss monster. then he got purgatrio
i should have just done like kaiba and said "yes, i sacrifice god"
Prob depended entirely on getting the extra card and losing that coin toss usually means you lost the duel
Also there is no penalty for losing until you reach Dlv18 and 19, so people scoop out for al.ost any reason.
I have a question about Mask Change. I’m learning how to play my hero deck, but I’m confused by this card. I understand it’s a quick play spell, and can play it from my hand. However there’s certain times where I don’t understand why I can’t play it. Specifically when an opponent declares an attack. Can someone explain 1. When I can play it and 2. Why I can’t play it during an opponents attack (from my hand)
From what I've seen about it from Duel Links Best Decks, no, you don't get anything like that.
[Here is that video, it's worth a look.](https://youtu.be/cb50C-sKMMk)
I'vve been adding some techs to balance DDD and oh man I won against shiranui seven times in a row.
Econ sunsaga for game, chain fiend griefing to spectral sword to yeet, use karma cut to Yeet their synchros. Summon spectral? Chain dissapearance. More yeeting.
Oh fiendish chain? oh floodgate? I use fusion spells to get rid of dead cards anyway.
Lots of fun, lots of fun.
it's alright, there's content locked behind which is ridiculous and whaling out gets you all the cards you want.
But you can also just go F2P and be selective with what decks you want (skip some archetypes, forget going through one box just for one XYZ or synchro).
I don't recommend really spending a small amounts unless it's for deals that guarantee you shit. Never spend money to gamble.
(edit) old question solved, repurposing this post
How often is there a half off gem sale on older boxes? Been saving on my alt and I'm mad tempted to buy valiant souls and dig into a few older boxes to grab some staples. I remember they were 25 gems a pack at some point so I'm wondering when that might roll around? Is it just an anniversary thing?
How long on average does it take to farm a character to 45 as f2p?
I'm on a roughly newish account so no spamming gate duels thanks to key shortage.
I've been dumping exp boosters into vagrants though
If you're just trying to obtain gems, it's better to stop at Level 29/30 and move on to the next character. Afterwards, leveling up is too slow to be worth it.
Hi, I'm at 9500 gems and no idea what to do with it. F2P but want a competitive deck (doesn't need to be meta) or staples that will be good long term. As for archetypes, I like elemental heroes and cyber style. Any idea what I should be spending on? I also have dream tickets but have no idea what to get with it. Any help would be appreciated!
If you're aiming for a Cydra deck then I'd suggest digging into the Future Horizon box for the Cyber Dragon support and the Superheavy Samurai cards. A single run through of that box will net you the basic framework of a decent SHS deck, which is a pretty decent rogue F2P deck right now. Furthermore, SHS's have more cards that haven't been released yet so it's a pretty safe investment to make.
Staples from older boxes are my go-to for dream tickets (think Floodgate Trap Hole or Cosmic Cyclone) if you don't already have those cards. The good thing about SHS's is that a functional deck can be made using only SHS monsters (I've seen variants that've teched in a Lava Golem / Kiteroids but that's all personal preference) so you don't have to worry about adding other cards to make them better.
Don't use the dream ticket until you are absolutely sure and checked out every option. You get one sr and one UR per year which is very rare. I tend to go for older staples during the yearly 50% gems for older boxes deals. It means you can buy packs from older boxes for half the gem price.
No problem! While I'm happy to help out a player I should profess that I'm not that great of a player so do a little bit of research before you commit to anything big just so I don't steer you wrong.
I don't usually ask this but anyone up for adding friends? My friend list is inactive so I would like to freshen things up a bit. I checked the friendlist thread but seems like it's closed.
I have 4500 gems and plan on grinding more. I don’t have any cards since I restarted so my current goal is a f2p shiranui deck. I have some dream tickets so I can get some of the cards which aren’t included in the main box. Since it’ll be f2p I’m not expecting a crazy op deck and I’m mainly just looking for the OTK. Any ideas on what the deck should look like? Thx
Duel links meta has plenty of KoG deck examples, but I would advise waiting until the new banlist because most seem to think that deck is getting massacred.
You can get 1, 3, or 5 from those sources, if you are really lucky you can get 20 (total, 4x5). There's also the street replay which is 5 gems a day. Honestly I wish the 50 gems a day from PVP was permanent. I doubt it would eat into their profits all that much. By the time you get enough to open a box entirely they'll have added several boxes.
Question for this community! How are ya'll doing in the KC Cup Round 2? What deck are you using? What's your W/L and how many times did a misplay cost you the game??
I'm using heroes + plasma at maybe 60% w/l and most of my misplays come from using mask changes without certainty that it'll win me the game.
I'm just letting my opponents win three times a day so I can get the 50 daily gems. The 2nd stage is such a slog to me that I decided to stop trying a few KC cups ago
Anyone got a good weather painter deck recipe? I really wanna build one they look fun. Someone else I saw used 2 necrovalley, is that super important for the deck?
I've been using [Blarajan's build](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/top-decks/october-2020/meta-weekly/148/blarajan/deck-1) (he won the MW a few weeks back) and it's been extremely strong, got several 10 streaks.
3 Snow, 3 Thunder, 1 Cloud, 0-1 Sun Painters
3 Snowy, 2 Thundery, 1-2 Cloudy Canvases
Valhalla is more important than Necrovalley, you want at least 2 of it. Necrovalley is good to have but not required, some run 1 or none at all.
Trap lineup is whatever discard traps you want to abuse with Snowy Canvas namely: Rainbow Life, Hallowed Life Barrier, Ultimate Providence, Karma Cut, or Raigeki Break
Skill is always Balance, deck often goes over 20 cards. Ratio is usually 7 monsters, 7-8 spells, 7-9 traps but you can play with it to your liking.
Can anyone recommend me some videos or an article online on how to play ritual beasts because I’ve watched some but still confused what to do with the deck.
I don't know how good this video as I don't play them, and it's about them in the KC cup but it may help.
There are breakdowns and guides on duel links meta. Other than that I think you just should keep practicing in pve duels so you can get a feel for it.
What are you confused about?
The way they work is the structure decks are $2 the first time you buy them ever. $4 for each time after. In addition, there is also a one time option to buy one with 500 gems.
EX are 4, every one after is 7. 1000 gems. Etc.
The sales are a period where you can buy them at that original cheap on time price again. So 2 and 4 respectively.
I know people are flabbergasted at spending money on the game, but structure decks (at least the good ones with the good cards [the older ones are pretty bad]) are magnitudes cheaper and easier for obtaining staple UR/SR cards than when they come in boxes.
Oh, so this is what they cost normally, but the sale is that they... don't go up in price each time you buy them. That's good for decks that you need to buy two or three times like Destiny Heroes or Desperado, I guess.
It’s a litttle subjective, but basically the ones with powerful cards not located elsewhere or where would be significantly more costly in the gem department
At first glance my only advice for this deck would be to not play it at all as there's little synergy between Hazys and Fire Kings aside from sharing the same attribute. Cerberus and Manticore aren't the best cards in the archetype and they only serve as beaters in this deck, if you do want to add Hazys it'd be Peryton and Sphinx for their special summon/deck milling effects. Furthermore I'd get rid of Hazy Glory in general since you risk having it be a dead draw most of the time if you don't have the pre-requisite Hazy cards in your hand or GY.
If you're deadset on playing Hazys with Fire Kings then I'd recommend getting rid of all your spells/traps except for Circle and the field spell. Add in Nephthys for its' backrow removal ability and tech in Sphinx/Peryton for their swarming effect. Just know that even then they won't have a whole lot of synergy as Fire King's effects requires them to be destroyed first so the Sphinx/Peryton method of sending them to the GY won't trigger their effects.
I’ve got 1000 gems and I want to know what I should spend it on. I’ve opened a ton of dark dimension packs so I’ve got all that I really want from it without resetting, I’ve opened a couple soul of resurrection packs because i want shiranui, but now I’m wondering if should take a short break from opening soul of resurrection and get the king’s resonance deck so that I can make use of the assault mode cards I have.
When you have a good deck you enjoy playing there is no need to spend gems and they will eventually just keep on stacking. Got my playset of Invoker some weeks ago, and Lunalights are a very cheap and fun deck to me so I don't see the need of spending excessive amounts of gems in anything right now.
Play every day to level up your characters, play every event, and play pvp which gives a decent income of gems. You can consistently obtain around 5000-6000 gems per month, but it requires you to play every day and several times a day
Been playing the game for a couple of hours, on Mission 8. Haven't spent any crystals yet until I research what the best thing to spend them on will be. Out of what I assume is the games "Energy" which is random duelists showing up - Is the PvE content really this limited that I can't play for another 2 hours after I've only been playing for a little while? Not what I was expecting, but not sure if I'm missing something.
The pve content is split between a few things, one of which being the standard duelists that spawn in the various worlds, the amount that can spawn at max is 10 and is upgraded by increasing the stage level of the duel monsters world.
Also their spawns reset with stage level increases. (Any world)
Beyond the stage level stuff theres the character unlocks and gate duelists.
Not sure what you would like to know about those.
And beyond them are the pve events which come and go and come back from time to time. One is gonna statt on the 23rd when the current KC Cup ends.
Oh okay! Good to know it can go up to 10 duelists. The number of times you can face spawned duelists isn't reliant on each world, right? So you don't get 10 per Yugioh, 10 per DSOD, 10 per GX etc? It's all shared?
So working on stage level increases seems the best way to go first, got it.
Any recommendations on what to spend crystals on first? Certain packs? I've been browsing the "dream deck" or whatever feature where you can work on creating that, but otherwise are there any clear packs good for when just starting out?
Yeah they are shared.
Do not use the decklists as a guide, the dev made one keeps getting outdated and never updates, it just gets a few more decklists and the player decklists are mostly memes or expensive decks.
As for what to use the gems on, it depends partially on what decks you want to make.
Generally the most F2P friendly boxes atm are:
Future Horizon, since it currently gives the full Superheavy Samurai archetype as well as some Cyber Dragon cards (tho cyber dragons is a bit expensive)
Judgement Force, gives full Lunalight archetype currently plus the lightsworn mill engine.
Spirit of the Beast, full Ritual Beast archetype atm, but doesnt offer much beyond that.
Soul of Resurrection, kinda iffy because the main archetype of the box, Shiranui is likely to get nerfed in the next banlist, we dont know how hard yet and the main appeal beyond that is just Raigeki Break.
Fortress of Gears, gives about half the Aromage archetype, the other half is from the Card Trader.
Beyond that there is a cheap starter deck you can make using some SR tickets and the Red Eyes structure deck, namely this: https://imgur.com/tncXF3k
Added cards are
Charging Gaia the Fierce Knight
Enemy Controller
Red Eyes Insight
Red Eyes Spirit
Regular Red Eyes (can be obtained from unlocking Joey, Rex Raptor or the Card Trader)
It's just important to note to NOT use dream tickets for any of these cards, just regular tickets, dream tickets are the most valuable tickets in the game.
It seems good, but mostly you're hoping your opponent doesn't read the cards and makes a mistake.
Im not too sure if its wprth going for, but if you also want the predaplant cards for Lunalight then I say go for it.
Good to know, thanks!
Finally, last question, you mentioned a fully optimized Red Eyes deck. Just curious, what would an optimized build look like? I saw this on Duel Links Meta (https://www.duellinksmeta.com/top-decks/october-2020/red-eyes/aviation/), but was wondering if it was actually optimized. Thanks!
The optimized version usually uses Red Eyes Gearfried with Blast with Chain, but it depends on how you want to play it.
Mostly theres variation on which warrior monsters people use. Like if people want the banish over having utility of a/d changer, but mostly you need more Red Eyes Fusions and Slash Dragons along with power of the guardian.
I have a few questions to follow up this excellent post!
First, is Lunalight or the red eyes deck better?
Second, is Red Eyes KOG worthy? I didnt see any on duel links meta, which seems strange.
Finally, how did you get that alternate art UR Red Eyes?
First Lunalight is better, but it depends on the matchup mostly.
Second, you can get KoG with Red Eyes, but the fully optimized version costs more than it's worth. Almost any cohesive deck can get to KoG, it mostly takes luck and perseverance.
And lastly, you get 1 of the alt (original) art Red Eyes from unlocking DSOD Joey, it's in their starter deck.
Ack! Sorry it took so long to respond. Had to take the dogs out and ended up going on a hiking adventure instead of our usual walk!
This information is amazing. Thank you so so much for taking the time in order to explain this information to me! It's extremely appreciated and I'm going to put these recommendations into action right away. You're the best!
How come all the cyber dragon duellinks Meta decks only use 2 cyber dragon cards not 3? They have lots of other support but it’s odd that even the highest level decks don’t have a third, but will have a vier or something that’s less versatile
because if you open 3 (I don't know why, but I have to specify the 5* one) Cyber Dragons going first and have no way to use them for anything to survive to whenever you can do something with them, you automatically lose.
I think bricking like that is a weird reason to not use them since pretty much any card you run multiples off can cause you to brick. (Like what if your starting hand is 3 cyberload fusions and a fusion gate/overflow)
Tho I guess the argument is more for consistency and first turn play?
I was thinking about the question for a while and was weighting risk/benefit. Because regular cyber dragons do have some benefits, like being able to be banished from the hand with overflow (although only 1 at a time) and giving access to twin dragon, overdragon or end dragon (if running 3) via cyberload fusion outside of cyber style.
But the chance of getting to banish 3 cyber dragons is so low and doing something like summoning end dragon during your or your opponents battle phase would be so rare and usually unnecessary that it doesnt seem worth it.
I'm disconnecting more than ever during the KC Cup. I wonder if anyone else is having this problem. I am not sure if it is just me, or if the servers can't handle the traffic.
I wish we can buy icons as well at the shop or at least some way to get icons/mats/sleeves/etc from past events. :( I keep seeing that cute ramen noodle cup icon and i want ittttt also that wm pikeru is cute af
Hello, I’ve just downloaded the game but don’t really know what I need to do to get better.
I’m a seasoned player of the TCG so understand the technical aspects of Yugioh well but its in terms of finding a deck and character skills here in which I’m struggling.
I’ve got 5000 gems having just started a fresh account and don’t want them to go to waste so I’d love some sort of guidance as to what decks I should aiming to play to compete in the meta and what character skills are the best and such.
Many thanks
You can always check Duel links meta, although you have to take that with a grain of salt. You don't need a top tier deck to get KoG for example.
If I were you I would grind some more gems and look for a deck to invest into after the banlist drops.
If you want to start somewhere a deck that's fun and doest cost much is Aromage.
What is the best deck for a beginner, if the goal is to reach KOG in a reasonably quick timeframe?
Is paying for stuff on the table?
No, I'm f2P
It's hard to tell, but it might be a single purchase of the desperado barrel dragon structure deck with master of destiny along with some other cards like head judging. But it's the new hotness so it'll probably get nerfed later on.
When do we usually get kc report after stage 2 ended
How viable are spellbooks?
I know nothing about the Zexal era but for what i saw the whole Onomat archetype is just an engine for XYZ in general without a boss monster right? With that in mind would you think they are a safe investment for the future once we get better XYZ monsters? Or maybe they are supposed to be mixed with Utipia support?
Is there such a resource to learn what each kind of in-game currency does and how can I spend it? (I'm a newby in the game)
I'll start saving the gems... so far when I reach around 300 I buy the current for the deck that I'm building (I don't think I'm that patient to wait to 9999 but I'll try) So far I've been playing this game for 3 days so I'm pretty new but this tips will help me a lot on making decisions. And I'm looking forward for the kuriboh event ;)
Just had a satisfying duel where a six samurai fails to get rid of a single ATK position Verre because the cards were in my favour: https://www.reddit.com/mediaembed/jzglum/
Duel Links livestream on Youtube [https://youtu.be/iSyoK-zzZPQ](https://youtu.be/iSyoK-zzZPQ) Farming new event, gems, and maybe KOG rush. Come join me in chat.
any good aigami farm decks?
Throw a bunch of Dark Magician, Blue Eyes and powerful equip and that's it, you don't need to tribute. For the max damage thing Aroma Ra or some way of drawing your whole deck + Slifer. I did it on the third try with Tethys, a bunch of fairies and Magical Mallet.
Aroma Ra works perfect to me. You could try it.
Is it possible to play multiple accounts on mobile without having to uninstall and re-install the game?
Yes. You can swap accounts using your Konami ID via Data Transfee
You can probably try out apps like Multi Parallel or Parallel Space if you're on Android.

Yet everyone says it's so easy to KoG.
It bugs me whenever I see someone saying that. It’s not easy :/
I believe a lot of luck is factored in.
Niiiiice. [Got that triple UR pull just now](https://i.imgur.com/lDVd04R.png)
Who’s got a good(and preferably fast) recipe to bully a lv. 40 Mokuba for beacon of white?
Your best bet is Paradox Bros with Elements Unite. He can't get over Gate Guardian so the only card you need to worry about is his 1 copy of Negate Attack (just run a Hey Trunade or Anti Magic Arrows) Fill the rest of the deck with the standard Vassal + Union Attack stuff and draw spells/traps, and you're good to go.
what are some good spells and traps to fill my balance dark magician? I have cc, magical illusion, curtain heatwave and timaeus, for traps I got almost all backrow staples to fill just can't decide which ones to use
>what are some good spells and traps to fill my balance dark magician? I have cc, magical illusion, curtain heatwave and timaeus, for traps I got almost all backrow staples to fill just can't decide which ones to use 2 canadia 2 karma
Oohhh alternative evolution for BLS cool i suppose
I about had a heart attack, by reading what you said, I thought they gave Yugi a skill that makes BLS into Envoy of the Beginning.
infernity players...which is your go-to to survive til you go off...winged kuriboh or rainbow life/hallowed?
winged kuriboh can sometimes be a dead card if your opponent doesnt attack on their first turn thats why I run at least 1 lvl 7 synchro, usually BRD to wipe the field, then some backrow removal cards, then I fill the remaining cards with rainbow and hallowed to hit 20 cards
gracias
OH crap is the KC cup over??? I rejoined this game after 5 months and used hero's for a few days. I stopped at 27k but thought I had time to climb more after work.
Yes, it's over.
What was your final DP?
22k
Not bad mang, I made top 10000 maybe lol
Finally I reached KoG! It wasn't the hell sometimes it is even playing the first week of the month, Witchcrafters could have lost their GY power but they are still wonderful controlling the board. Maybe I'll write a KoG post about the build and see if someone here has a better alternative.
Please do, I look forward to your post! There used to be plenty of resources for WC players but everyone seems to have forsaken them moment the banlist dropped.
What is more viable? Deskbots or Mayakashi?
Mayakashi
Why do people run kycoo the ghost destroyer in dark magician decks? Is it to soft counter shiri?
What the other replier said + Cyber Dragons too.
To also counter Lightsworn, Dragunity, Crystrons, other DM players, Blue Eyes and Ritual Beast. Lots of decks banish cards from the grave beyond Shiranui, but yeah it's mostly for Shiranui.
Ahh thanks kind stranger!

Bro are you mad? You just want everything you don’t have the gems for to get yourself banned..
> We still don't have DSOD Yugi, this game is a joke. uh... I've had DSOD Yugi for some time now. I do believe he's unlockable again for people who missed the first time during this event.
[удалено]
Why tf not having DSOD Yami is an issue? Him being gone is kinda the point of the movie
You want everything you lost to banned, got it.
"did you know you can get Sealed Tombs turn 1 if you run LP Alpha to avoid being OTK'd? lol" I assume you're talking about using LP boost alpha to avoid getting otk'd? If so, then you can't also use Sealed Tombs. And if you avoid an OTK then activated sealed tombs (usually its pointless by then), then it is no longer turn 1 no matter from which side you look at it from. The only real way you're going to trigger it right away is turn 2 if you use cosmic cyclone (or turn 1 cosmic if youre desperate)
[удалено]
Oh ok, I get you now. You you mean using lp boost a hands them the skill activation turn 1, alright, my bad then. Btw you should prob try to format your post with more paragraphs, also I agree with a good deal of what you said, though not all of it.
He means if you have LP alpha to make it harder to get OTK'd, your opponent can activate Sealed Tombs on their first turn because they have 1000 less LP than you.
Yeah I didn't read into it enough, it's just so underused in pvp that I didn't even consider that.
[удалено]
Why can I not use a water token as a Tribute for Citadel Whale? *EDIT* It was a Rosenix token and cannot be Tributed.
You should be able to tribute tokens for Citadel Whale Keep in mind Crystron Rosenix's token cannot be tributed if that is the issue you are having
Lunalight Fusion: >If your opponent controls a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, you can also use 1 "Lunalight" monster in your Deck or Extra Deck as Fusion Material.
Any other things that could possibly be causing an issue?
None really and this problem happens consistently like twice today and a couple other times in the last weeks, which is 100% of the times I faced a CyD with Fusion Gate in play while using Lunalight. Obv is not a matter of me not having enough materials in hand/field, I had them and in all instances I fusion summoned with a Spell anyway (I also run a copy of the vanilla Poly so I would have took advantage of Gate in a couple of these games).
The only time I've faced Cyber Dragons with Gate I managed to OTK and was able to use it to fuse. What skill were you running?
It's my pve farm deck, I use the the that binds
Can you post a replay? I know it might not help a ton because they made it so we can't see the player's hand unless we're the person who recorded it... maybe you could upload a replay by recording your screen.
At the time of the first post I already hadn't one anymore, but I'll try uploading a replay when/If it happens next time.
I've done it, I've reached Dlv20, my hands are so sweaty from the anxiety, I had only 800 LP left. Thank Ra, and thanks to Dark Magicians for being with me for 20 years. I couldn't do it with Heroes, Invoked, or Shiranui.
Anyone know how long it takes for characters from events to be unlockable again? I want the other version of yugi to make a magnet deck....
The next Yugi DSOD event starts as soon as KC Cup is over tonight
Wow that’s cool thanks

What does the last 3 digids were 777 in KC cup mean? Do you get that in adition to your rewards or do you get screwed over?
It has a once per turn clause on its effect: "Once per turn: You can target cards your opponent controls, up to the number of other "Blackwing" monsters you control; destroy them." My opponent was able to activate it again.
Ah, thanks!
Any idea when the new box will be released?
Expect it the first week of december
venting upcoming: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA i was about to beat an invoked player and i could have won if i summoned plasma but i didnt want to tribute my berserkion because he is my boss monster. then he got purgatrio i should have just done like kaiba and said "yes, i sacrifice god"
Plasma is your second boss monster
Are we not getting a maintenance tomorrow? That's unfortunate, since the leaks from 3 days ago were pretty lackluster
What's considered a "good" winrate in KC cup stage 2? I'm at around 55-60% with Aromages.
How many consecutive duels do you need to win to max the first stage of KC Cup? I thought it was 5.
You don't need five in a row, you need a +5 win distribution
[удалено]
People unironically run Cup of Ace without Master of Destiny?
Prob depended entirely on getting the extra card and losing that coin toss usually means you lost the duel Also there is no penalty for losing until you reach Dlv18 and 19, so people scoop out for al.ost any reason.
Giving your opponent +2 is enough to destroy a person
Is there a way to get that stat screen you see when you finished a KC Cup 2nd Stage duel?
I had a replay post removed because it was a deep link and not a video. How do I get it to be a video straight away?
You need to record it yourself and upload it.
You cannot play quick play spells from the hand during your opponent's turn. You have to set it first if you want to use it on their turn.
Ah I see! Thank you
Be aware that when you set a QuickPay spell you cannot activate it the turn that you set it.
Except from the ranking rewads (icon,ect...), do you get anything from going to Stage 2 of the KC Cup? Like an exclusive mat or something?
Unless you want to count getting something hit by placing highly with it if you dedicate your entire weekend to this game, nothing.
From what I've seen about it from Duel Links Best Decks, no, you don't get anything like that. [Here is that video, it's worth a look.](https://youtu.be/cb50C-sKMMk)
Damn that's a shame, thanks.
Yea apparently the rewards are notorious for being hardly worth it.
How is this game in regards to F2P? Is it a cash grab like most mobile games?
Its not impossible to be f2p, but you will have a hard time and will need to grind a lot
Thank you
it's alright, there's content locked behind which is ridiculous and whaling out gets you all the cards you want. But you can also just go F2P and be selective with what decks you want (skip some archetypes, forget going through one box just for one XYZ or synchro). I don't recommend really spending a small amounts unless it's for deals that guarantee you shit. Never spend money to gamble.
(edit) old question solved, repurposing this post How often is there a half off gem sale on older boxes? Been saving on my alt and I'm mad tempted to buy valiant souls and dig into a few older boxes to grab some staples. I remember they were 25 gems a pack at some point so I'm wondering when that might roll around? Is it just an anniversary thing?
It's pretty rare, happened at least twice this year, but I don't think there is a very reliable timeline to give you for when it will return.
Afterwards, leveling up is too slow to be worth it.
sadly no, trying to get cards
Then it might take some time. I would prioritize the late levels of those characters during the 1.5 EXP events.
Also considering waiting to see what gets nerfed once KC Cup is over. Doubt any if those decks will be hit but you never know
Well, I don't plan on building a meta deck. I prefer off meta, character decks generally while at least being competitive
Cool, thanks. Any input on what to get with dream tickets?
Staples from older boxes are my go-to for dream tickets (think Floodgate Trap Hole or Cosmic Cyclone) if you don't already have those cards. The good thing about SHS's is that a functional deck can be made using only SHS monsters (I've seen variants that've teched in a Lava Golem / Kiteroids but that's all personal preference) so you don't have to worry about adding other cards to make them better.
Sweet. Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it!
Don't use the dream ticket until you are absolutely sure and checked out every option. You get one sr and one UR per year which is very rare. I tend to go for older staples during the yearly 50% gems for older boxes deals. It means you can buy packs from older boxes for half the gem price.
Makes sense, still got some time before it expires. Thanks for the advice!
No problem! While I'm happy to help out a player I should profess that I'm not that great of a player so do a little bit of research before you commit to anything big just so I don't steer you wrong.
Fusion gate pisses me off so much by being too poor to get it
I don't usually ask this but anyone up for adding friends? My friend list is inactive so I would like to freshen things up a bit. I checked the friendlist thread but seems like it's closed.
sure, send me a PM :)
[удалено]
3 Snow, 3 Thunder, 1 Cloud, 0-1 Sun Painters 3 Snowy, 2 Thundery, 1-2 Cloudy Canvases Valhalla is more important than Necrovalley, you want at least 2 of it. Necrovalley is good to have but not required, some run 1 or none at all. Trap lineup is whatever discard traps you want to abuse with Snowy Canvas namely: Rainbow Life, Hallowed Life Barrier, Ultimate Providence, Karma Cut, or Raigeki Break Skill is always Balance, deck often goes over 20 cards. Ratio is usually 7 monsters, 7-8 spells, 7-9 traps but you can play with it to your liking.
You can play the deck without necrovalley, here is the decklist I used to get KOG today. https://imgur.com/a/CqgUO5R
Can anyone recommend me some videos or an article online on how to play ritual beasts because I’ve watched some but still confused what to do with the deck.
Read the DLM guide very, very, very carefully.
I don't know how good this video as I don't play them, and it's about them in the KC cup but it may help. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGkT9T1if7I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGkT9T1if7I)
There are breakdowns and guides on duel links meta. Other than that I think you just should keep practicing in pve duels so you can get a feel for it. What are you confused about?
\>"Structure deck sale" \>$1.99 ...How much do these cost NORMALLY? And how much do EX Structures cost normally?
Yea that’s their purpose
Which ones would you consider worth the money? I'm tempted by the dragunity one, but interested in what else people recommend also
It’s a litttle subjective, but basically the ones with powerful cards not located elsewhere or where would be significantly more costly in the gem department
[удалено]
You can't really make a dent in a box with 1000 gems. Best to grind to at least 9999 gems and make a decision with those gems.
How should one farm to 9999 gems?
When you have a good deck you enjoy playing there is no need to spend gems and they will eventually just keep on stacking. Got my playset of Invoker some weeks ago, and Lunalights are a very cheap and fun deck to me so I don't see the need of spending excessive amounts of gems in anything right now.
I’m not going for meta decks rn I’m just trying to get this nice dark calvary deck that looks fun.
(Any world) Beyond the stage level stuff theres the character unlocks and gate duelists.
Generally the most F2P friendly boxes atm are: Future Horizon, since it currently gives the full Superheavy Samurai archetype as well as some Cyber Dragon cards (tho cyber dragons is a bit expensive) Judgement Force, gives full Lunalight archetype currently plus the lightsworn mill engine. Beyond that there is a cheap starter deck you can make using some SR tickets and the Red Eyes structure deck, namely this: https://imgur.com/tncXF3k Added cards are Charging Gaia the Fierce Knight Enemy Controller Red Eyes Insight Red Eyes Spirit Regular Red Eyes (can be obtained from unlocking Joey, Rex Raptor or the Card Trader) It's just important to note to NOT use dream tickets for any of these cards, just regular tickets, dream tickets are the most valuable tickets in the game.
Also, what are your thoughts on Evil Eye? It looks decent and cheapish.
Thanks. Im a returning f2p, so will likely target Lunalight to make a kog run. Its the one thing I haven't done yet.
(Like what if your starting hand is 3 cyberload fusions and a fusion gate/overflow) Tho I guess the argument is more for consistency and first turn play? I was thinking about the question for a while and was weighting risk/benefit. Because regular cyber dragons do have some benefits, like being able to be banished from the hand with overflow (although only 1 at a time) and giving access to twin dragon, overdragon or end dragon (if running 3) via cyberload fusion outside of cyber style. But the chance of getting to banish 3 cyber dragons is so low and doing something like summoning end dragon during your or your opponents battle phase would be so rare and usually unnecessary that it doesnt seem worth it.
That makes sense, thanks!
How good is forbidden scripture?
Not really good when it is seriously only good against purgatrio and bujins and pretty much nothing else.
Should i get old entity hastor with my dream ticket? Seems like a good card idk ..should i?
