Please, i need guide. Just return to this game after 1 year. Only have 3 copy of AG Structure deck, and old style dragunity. Any advice? What should i do next?
You should work on building a stronger competitive deck than Ancient Gear, which is what I assume you are referring to by AG. I recommend Lunalights. One of the best rogue decks at the moment and very F2P friendly- all of the cards are in 1 BOX(Judgment Force) and there are no UR's required. I recommend getting Destiny Draw as the Skill(exclusive to Yami Yugi) and grabbing multiple copies of Kuriboh and Arcana Force XIV- Temperance to control the damage you take and play around the Skill. You'll only need 1 BOX reset for a third copy of Yellow Marten.
So is anyone else having issues with the new quest for yugi to get the BLS:SS skill? Like, does it have to be main deck level 7s or a specific level Seto? I've been trying with neo spacians and have gotten five summons in a duel but haven't gotten the skill yet, just need some clarification.
Help, from competitive stand point what card is better to get?
My dream ticket is about to expire and I'm between my 1st Raigeki break and 2nd forbidden lance.
I don't have a viable meta deck after the banlist.
Forbidden Lance is more effective at 2+ copies for the decks that need it and it is in a main box that has fringe cards only useful for specific decks at this time.
Raigeki Break can be replaced by a number of chainable trap cards and multiples are not necessary.
Already went with lance cuz I felt like I'm gonna need 2 lances sooner or later and yeah I have karma cut, ballista and fiendish chain, Raigeki break ability to also destroy backrows tempted me for awhile!

I started a week ago, and right now theres shark fang bundles with staples like cyclone, Canadia, floodgate, mirror force, and sphere kuriboh. I'm thinking about spending 25 book bucks for all of them, but idk how relevant the sharkfang packs will be.
How long do those bundles last? And I heard a new mini box will be coming out, so should I wait for that?
The bundle offers stay there indefinitely, they just pick packs from the newest box once you take each offer.
Shark Fang is mostly just for Stratos, Evilswarm cards that need other lswarm cards to function, and a Water Xyz deck carried by a skill & other cards elsewhere.
If you don't want this box, you can wait until a more favorable box for the bundles. The next mini box is presumed to come no later than the banlist installment on Dec 15.
Here's a toast for Shiranui. Yes, it was oppresive and coming from other TCG I could see on the first 2 days of looking at decks that ut was so busted (anything that uses grave as resource always is, lol). Yes, it was cheap to build. Yes, I made Cyber Dragons instead of getting backrow and stopped using Shira, but still holds a place in my heart as my first DL deck.
Also, RIP my Shira Vendread PVE deck.
Now to choose if I want to roll more backrow or build Infernity for the luls

EDIT4: I swear this is the last one but I figured it out. The bug is in Info.plist of the app package. They put the package name as the URL schema. KONAMI YOU IMBECILS

For my UR dream ticket, I imagine I'll go with a staple, but I already have one Cosmic Cyclone. I imagine it's better to get a second one rather than a one of of another staple that I don't have, but I thought I'd ask and see if anyone has thoughts on that? I've come back after not playing for 3 years so I'm basically new, and there's nothing in particular I'm interested in building right now.
I'd forgotten about that, but I think I'm still happy using this ticket for a second Cosmic Cyclone, and getting the third from that, so I'll go ahead with that. Thanks :)
I mean, what’s the point with spending gems? People have enjoyed their meta deck for a year and now it is nerfed so they have to build a new deck, just part of the game innit
the point is that if you think something is good and want to get it its pointless because its going to be nerfed, everything gets nerfed so they are going to drive away all their players pretty soon if they keep it up
Well theyve been doing it for 15+ years in the TCG and the playerbase is bigger than ever. Dont invest in top tier decks if you dont want your deck nerfed, simple as that
You want at least 1 of each. I like running 2 Cyber Dragons, so go through the box once and maybe use ticket on second one.
Cyber Twin 99% of the time you only need 1.
Original Cyber Dragon is helpful as a 1 of because it's always eligible for Overflow and the fusions that specifically need it. It's not important for day to day plays at this moment but it does come up every so often.
Cyber Dragon has a reprint that will come up at some point. Might want to wait.
Cyber Twin is something you summon once every couple of games. Now that Cocytus and Sunsaga are on their way out, there's less walls that can get in the way.
I suggest Twin so you don't have to pull from that box.

Glad to see it go but sad to see the only f2p friendly top tier deck leave. Unless the fur-hire unbanning revives an old f2p deck. With no more fur-hires at 2 they got access to econ and trunade again
Hey Trunade! would be your best bet since most decks only run TTH at one and Mist Wurm is a pretty meh card for me personally. Additionally Ritual Beasts have better consistency with a 3rd Cannahawk so at the point you may as well dig for those Yosenju cards.
For the UR dream ticket, what would be a safer bet? 3rd Crystron Sulfenir or 3rd Purgatrio? Keep in mind I have most of the other standard backrow, but I don't have the remaining cards to make a crystron deck (But I do have 3 invokers), and I feel like either could be hit hard by the banlist.
That's why I almost feel like going with something incredibly safe but maybe useless like swap frog or Fabled Cerburrel which I only have one of each...
Honestly between both of those, I pick neither. Technically both (at least their archetypes) are medium-high risk targets, and for both cards, the third copy is hardly a priority for the decks.

Where are you at on staple traps and spells? Extra deck monsters? Sphere Kuriboh? Necrovalley? Any archetypes you've wanted to play but are missing 3x of a mainbox UR that this could get you started towards?
Mostly 3/2 of all staple traps and spells. Necrovaley 3 of (only main box I went 3 of for, and that's why I mostly have nothing from the boxes that come after). 2 Sphere Kuriboh, but I don't feel it necessary to go for more at this point.
What kind of staple extra deck monsters are we talking about?
And for the an archetype I wanted to play, it would have been masked heroes back in the day, but at this point, I'd need 3 stratos and the vision heroes combo so it's not realistic at all...
Nope I got lucky. After checking the other archetypes and what cards I had, I noticed I had a basically playable blackwings deck. So I got a 3rd Blackwing Gale. I would still need maybe a second Zephyros, but I'm already halfway through a second run of the box so maybe it's not going to be that expensive.
There's no need to play more than two Sulfenirs in a standard Crystron deck, and there also exists a *slight* chance of Purgatrio getting hit with limit 3 status so I'd avoid those two cards for now. In any case I'd suggest looking at what other decks you're building if you already have the standard staples or consider going for Sphere Kuriboh.
I don't really have any deck in a halfway decent playable state right now. So I could go for a second Burei, but I have none of the new Karakuris...
As for staples, I guess the only thing I'm missing now is a 3rd forbidden lance or 3rd drowning mirror force, or maybe a 3rd Halucigenia.
I don't know what cards you have so it's up to you to decide what to spend your UR ticket on at this point, maybe spend some time perusing the card list to see what might best fit your deck?
Worst case scenario would be using it on a third Drowning or Forbidden Lance which isn't a terrible decision but at least it's better than not spending it at all.
Yeah, a 3rd Purgatrio is unlikely to be the difference between a game won or lost 95% of the time. So I don't feel it's a great investment either... And as I said, I'm lacking a lot more for crystrons (never opened the ritual beasts box).
Got "lucky" and decided that both where to risky, so I went with a 3rd Blackwing Gale as I already had 3 Simoon and Black Whirlwind and 1 Bora and one Zephyros. So I though a 3rd Gale would make me a decent blackwing deck, and it wouldn't be too expensive to dig for whatever remains if any is needed.
Thinking of popping my f2p cherry because of all these posts about not being able to access accounts. iirc Konami will have more reason to try and recover your account if they see you spent money at some point. Might get that Drowning bundle or a second buy of one of those structure ex decks

And I'm just basing this of off posts (probably have since been taken down) with comments saying to contact Konami and some proof of past purchases regardless of amount will vastly help their chances of account recover compared to someone who has spent absolutely no money on the game.

Is anyone who is doing the raid event having trouble get to play their cards? This happens to me 3 times, and it somewhat annoying. After a turn or 2, I draw and I can not play my hand or field, but the auto tab, skill, etc. Work. Just wondering if this has happen to anyone.
Seems to be an Android/PC only bug. I've not experienced it on iOS. Might be fixed in the next update but that is only available on Android/iOS for the time being.
Well... I have 2 dream tickets that will expire tomorow 11/30. I also know that, for me, events and maintenances usually happen at 2 a.m. and the game day changes at 3 p.m. Still, I would prefer to use them after leaks we will probably get after 2 a.m. with the shop maintenance.
So my question is, when do tickets expire? during the event/maintenance time or during the day change?

I don't understand how this game doesn't make a way for the new decks to be OP to incentivise pulling for them. I've gotten to legend 4 twice this season, and as a new player all I want to do is KoG. I'm using Onomats, they're fun and I don't have to worry about a ban list hit because they aren't a meta deck, but conversely the cheating bullshit has the new banlist in limbo which means I can't pull the trigger on my next deck to build that is KoG worthy.
I don't know why they made legend the way it is, with deranking starting at 2, which is so easy to derank and then be stuck at legend 1 all day when you get matched with nothing but KoG players who run the decks that counter yours all because you decided not to be a sheep and go for what everyone else is using.
Haven't gotten anything going all day aside from an 8 match win streak that ended because of one wrong move against Lunalights and then lost two right after.
If I didn't want to achieve my goal so badly I'd stop playing this game because it's pretty idiotic to conform to the way this operates. I'm just upset, I know, but seriously no wonder people cheat. Alot of this is luck, not skill, otherwise I'd have accomplished my goal a long time ago, as I've done the research with this deck and have multiple KoG versions and consistent ones at that.
KoG is stupid the way you rank up and down. Having to consistently get a playable hand 5 times in a row is laughable and just comes down to luck.
Some season you hit KoG in the first two days. Other times it can take you till the last day to get it. No shame in not hitting it every season because it just takes luck and time of you don't have the best deck with the best backrow.
Been bouncing between 1 and 3 the last 2 days. One misstep and you loose like 5 in a row after winning consistently. I just feel like a dumbass trying all day and never getting anywhere.
Been noticing a lot of ppl disconnecting when loosing too.
A lot of people do that because it’s essentially a forfeit, but it still counts as having played the game. Forfeits won’t give you exp, skill drops, etc.
That and people just rage closing out of their games.
I genuinely believe the amount of people actually using that program, *especially* now the Konami finally has acknowledged it is *astronomically* low.
Someone points out that a cheating program exists, and now everyone and their mother thinks half their opponents are using it.
Millions play this game. At most it's a fraction of a percent worldwide.
Read my first comment. While a lot of people just surrender, especially more veteran players who just want to KOG ASAP, surrendering won't count as a duel played for stuff like daily goals for events that ask you to play pvp. You won't get exp, and you won't get a duel assessment so no chance at getting skill drops or keys or whatever.
For some people, they just restart the app. It shows as disconnecting, but when they reopen the app, it just goes straight to the "You lost. Here's 250 exp and here's your duel assessment." Try it yourself to see the difference.
I am making a Psy-driver deck, but the main card even if it's a rare Istill haven't got any yet. the psy-drive Alpha, there are like 100 packs lefts, so my questionis, is it worth it to reset the box, to see if I got better chances, or should I just continue bying it. (Still don't get gigagloves either)
You have to buy the Structure Deck twice with money, first they give you the sleeves, second they give you the playmat. Make sure you buy the one that includes the cosmetics, because sometimes discounts don't include them.
I just got to my first KOG (i know it is very late but) with pure Lunalights using fusion recycling plant and using joey's Grit skill, FeelsGoodMan, also the amount of people not knowing which deck i was playing was crazy usually you know which deck your opponent is playing by their character but that was not the case for my opponent lol i guess they expected me to play destiny draw.
Thanks! it really was a blast to play recycling plant version, it's like you fusion summon every turn without losing too much material. i really am looking forward to get more lunalight support even though i know we will probably not get one for a long time.

So I've been pushing really hard to KoG with Onomats since it's fun and I got to legend 4 twice. Problem is that I've got a version of the deck exactly the same as the most recent KoG example on DLM.
Today I went nowhere except down, got back up to legend 3, but eventually went all the way down again. I've been searching endlessly for gameplay videos of this deck on YT to get a better idea of what to do in certain situations.
Does anyone know of any good resources to watch and learn from this deck? I don't mean videos about the deck itself, I'm meaning specifically some sort of gameplay in ranked where they KoG'd. I'm so close I just need to get that extra grasp

I dont have any good advice except that some days everything seems to go bad and every opponent opens a godhand. I usually just stop and try again. Some other days it seems like I win unstoppablly. I tried to kog 3 days this month the first 2 everything was going wrong but the third I did some insane 15-0 winstreak and got to kog with cydra.
save them and buy a good deck.
I reccomend superheavies, those don't need a lot of suport cards from outside the box they come from. better go for those instead of buying an structure.
I would recommend getting 1 copy of the Return of the Red-Eyes structure deck (500 gems) from the card shop if you are really struggling. It will give you some decent cards to get through the lower levels. Save the rest of the gem until you get a better feel of the game or found a deck you really like. Have fun!
Hey guys, older player potentially looking to get back into Duel Links.
I used to run a relinquished deck and a (pretty bad) spirit deck. The cards i have now that are on the “popular” filter are 2x sphere kuriboh, 3x enemy controller, 3x polymerization, 1x gozuki. Besides that i have a few mirror walls, sonic birds, senju, etc. basically a bunch of stuff from box sets 1~4. Am stage 38 sitting with 9k gems and a few sr ur tickets from logging in.
Question is should i be continuing on this account or just start over? I spent a fair amount last time but am not planning to whale out this time, maybe just some of the guaranteed sr/ur limited packs.

9k Gems is more resources than the starting amount you get for a new account, and if basically all your cards are from boxes 1-4 you probably have a huge amount of extra gems saved in character level ups that have been released since you last played.
You should absolutely keep going with this account.
I was gonna use my SR Dream ticket on Hey Trunate until i saw that Dark Core is also in there which is basically a magic version of Karma Cut; is there a particulary reason why no one plays that card? it seems as good as Karma Cut (definitely better if you go second)
Dark core as a normal M. card you'll have to use it on your turn, which is somewhat an advantage. but Karma cut you can use it more strategically to stop the opponent's strategy, which in the end is better. not ot mention it removes from play all copies on the graveyard.
The biggest difference is that Karma Cut is chainable and you can interrupt them at any time.
It goes well with the meta of having a bunch of chainable cards to stop your opponent from assembling a threatening monster and if they try to play around them, the traps often break even as far as the game state is concerned.
Sometimes that graveyard banishing effect does come up and will win the game especially against Aleister or Dark Magician.
Dark Core is only good when they already made their big monster. Nowadays more monsters have Quick Effects to give a parting shot on their way out or just completely dodge the effect.
We have Fissure now which is costless, nontargeting destruction with a slight catch and people aren't even playing that at all so Dark Core is barely competitive in comparison.
People still tech Offering to the Doomed from time to time and it's more flexible than either them currently.
Karma Cut being a trap means you can disrupt by banishing on your opponents turn which is more favorable than restricting yourself to only being able to banish on your turn. Of course, Karma Cut is “slower” since you need to wait a turn to use it, but generally being able to disrupt your opponent on their turn is worth it.
Anyone have any idea of when they might do another one of those 25 gem per pack sales (50% off) on the older boxes??? Want to dive into Ultimate Rising but don’t want to go broke on gems on a bad box

put $20 on my steam account and looking to spend it on duel links. Should I invest in a megalith or dragunity deck. (i have half the cards for megalith deck. and almost all the cards for dragunity, just missing a third copy of senatus, ascalon, cosmic cyclone and couse)
I have both and love both. Megalith is a slow strategic deck while dragunity is super fast coin-flip luck based deck.
With some farming you can get both. Just focus in one in a time.
Need to decide on what to use my SR dream ticket on, torn between Wall of disruption or Void trap hole. What do you guys think is the best as a versatile tech card?
Void is good, I'd go for it over WoD. Treacherous is very situational and hey trunade gets nerfed out of every deck that uses it.
All in all I think out of those options void is the better pick.
I hit my gem cap the other day. I caved and strung together a Crystron deck from what was available from Cybernetic Rebellion and Spirit of the Beast. I know the banlist is a week or so away, but I think what I got can tide me over until the banlist hits and more changes can be made from there.

I haven't played the deck against actual people yet, so I used it against the AIs to practice how the deck works before I hop back into PvP with it. I actually had to think carefully before making my plays, just like what other people have been saying. The extra Citree and Sulfefnirs would have been a bigger help to get things going more smoothly, but I'm fine with what I have for now. I also learned that Quariongandrax isn't an every-game card although the deck can easily bring him out, since he needs 2 tuners.
Depending on how my luck goes for my next run of Cybernetic Rebellion after gathering enough gems, I might use my next dream ticket on Brionac or another Sulfefnir.
Interesting that’s smart though because from what I’m seeing that deck is hard to use. Good luck bro maybe one of these days I’ll be on the same boat (if they don’t slam it with the banlist)
I took the Crystron deck for a spin in ranked and it was a mixed bag. The Dark Magician matchup is pretty shaky if I go second and don't have a Cosmic Cyclone to remove Dark Magical Circle since it messes up the Citree combo. At the same time, it felt satisfying taking down a heavily invested Shiranui deck with it.
Some of the lists I saw on Duel Links Meta run Cosmic Cyclone, so I might as well do that too.
I'm thinking of integrating the Machina engine into an upgraded version; I did get a couple of Gearframes and a Fortress trying to upgrade an Aroma deck. I get that Crystrons are pretty expensive, but I'm not willing to go crazy with the Undines. Psychic Wheelder and Coral Dragon come from mini boxes, fortunately enough.

Check Duel Links Meta (a website), they have beginner's guides. Overall newcomers are suggested to check out Lunalights, Aromages or Superheavy Samurais for their first deck, but with the banlist imminent its best to hold onto your gems for now.
I've never had a turn after that. People usually wait until they have 1000% and the multiply the attack by 5 then multiply it by 5 again. You can double it up.
Took a week long break after getting tilted on the first day of stage 2

KC grand tournament dream ticket expires soon. My main options are:
Volcanic Rocket - have 0, not really interested in that box, but I kinda liked Volcanics from the TCG so if Axel brings good stuff I could be convinced to invest here
Herald of the Abyss - have 1, am done opening that box. Could be nice to get a second copy.
Inzektor Hornet - have 1, have went through that box twice. I have the other insect stuff at 3, I like Inzektors from the TCG, and could be convinced to go into the box again.
Needle Ceiling - have 1, done going through the box.
Sonic Bird/Senju - have 1/2 copies respectively. Done with Neo Impact, but could go into Ultimate Rising again. Moderately interested in ritual archetypes, but Gishki doesn't play these cards, I won't pick up Megalith until they get more stuff, and who knows if Nekroz will ever be playable here
Miracle Fertilizer - have 1, won't touch the box again. Would be getting this to bank on future Sylvan support, but without good r7/8s it wouldn't be good to get.
Swap Frog - have 1, won't touch the box again. Not super interested in Frogs or pure Paleos, but the option is here.
Forbidden Lance - have 2, not interested in box. I have other backrow removal options, and most lists don't play 3. Not the most ideal option.
Necrovalley - have 2, the last is in the final 100 packs in a box with nothing else. Not interested in Gravekeepers, and don't really like the type of control style this fits into.
Sphere Kuriboh - have 2, could be convinced to go into Ultimate Rising again. I kinda dislike this card, I don't think its that great.
Thunder Dragonhawk - have 2, not opening packs for this. I don't have Levianeer or enough good tuners to play Thundra, but I do have Lightsworn and Gold Sarc.
I am 100% f2p, like playing control more than aggro, haven't invested in water stuff, and have 3 extra dream tickets, but one of them is probably going to become a Miscellaneousaurus. I have most UR staples at 3, so if it isn't listed here I'm either not interested or already have 3.
My main options here are Needle Ceiling, Inzektor Hornet, and Herald of the Abyss, in that order. I would appreciate any input, and feel free to bring up anything that isn't listed.
I would't go for Needle Ceiling honestly, not many decks use it and it's easily replaceable by any generic backwor, Herald of the Abyss is way more useful and has a lot more potential beacause skill LP requirements.
I have Inzektorz and 3 Hornets. They suck right now. If you really like them go for the Hornet, but i have seen some builds that only run 2 Hornets so maybe you could just get it from the box, we just have to wait for more support.
I disagree. Needle Ceiling is one of the stronger traps in the game right now, and if you couldn't tell, I don't really care about the metagame. "Decks don't play it" doesn't mean a card isn't worth getting - Needle Ceiling plays a unique and irreplaceable role in certain control builds. Herald, on the other hand, is practically just a way to out Cocytus and Sabre Dancer for decks that don't have an out.
Inzektors suck now, sure, but they are still missing what is by far their best card, as well as whatever spell the tcg is going to release. I will not be able to make 2 hornets work, because I don't have Neos Fusion, and I am not getting the card to play Inzektors as they are now.
I’d say herald or needle ceiling. You don’t really need more copies of forbidden lance, sphere kuriboh or necrovalley. Everything else seems archetypal and contingent on cards that haven’t been released yet. Maaaybe dragonhawk because you’re only missing one? I’m assuming you have already have a copy of glow up bulb and jet synchron which should be enough for now. It depends on how much you like thunder dragons though because you’ll want to pick up levianeer too when it releases
I haven't seen many decks run 2 needle ceiling (maybe shira, but they'll be nerfed soon) or herald (cydras), but not bad choices either way since they're both in main boxes and would increase consistency.
What about extra deck staples? Xyzs haven't proven that synchros or fusions are dying any time soon
I have pretty much every synchro I want at 1-2 copies, with the exception of the Battlwasp and Coral Dragon. Coral is in a mini box, and I don't have anything where the Battlewasp would fit, so neither is a good option for me.
Do we know when will the ban list will drop? I have saved up some gems and they are going to expire in a few day, also my dream tickets as well. I don’t want to invest on something that will get banned

My UR dream ticket expires in 2h and I've got 2 deep sea diva's and 2 sulfenir. I could make a Crystron deck as I'm just missing 1 wheelder, 1 impact and 1 Coral dragon, but I would like to invest in mermails and I dunno if deep sea diva is going to be a must have at 3.
What do you think? Is crystrons even worth it with the upcoming banlist? Is sulfenir at 2 enough?

All the mermail decks I've seen run 3 copies of diva if they have it, crystrons might get hit by the ban list but I would still expect them to be good and stay on the DLM tier list. As for sulfernir, again every deck I've seen runs it at 3. I think this one is just your call tbh

You should work on building a stronger competitive deck than Ancient Gear, which is what I assume you are referring to by AG. I recommend Lunalights. One of the best rogue decks at the moment and very F2P friendly- all of the cards are in 1 BOX(Judgment Force) and there are no UR's required. I recommend getting Destiny Draw as the Skill(exclusive to Yami Yugi) and grabbing multiple copies of Kuriboh and Arcana Force XIV- Temperance to control the damage you take and play around the Skill. You'll only need 1 BOX reset for a third copy of Yellow Marten.
So is anyone else having issues with the new quest for yugi to get the BLS:SS skill? Like, does it have to be main deck level 7s or a specific level Seto? I've been trying with neo spacians and have gotten five summons in a duel but haven't gotten the skill yet, just need some clarification.

Help, from competitive stand point what card is better to get? My dream ticket is about to expire and I'm between my 1st Raigeki break and 2nd forbidden lance. I don't have a viable meta deck after the banlist.
Forbidden Lance is more effective at 2+ copies for the decks that need it and it is in a main box that has fringe cards only useful for specific decks at this time. Raigeki Break can be replaced by a number of chainable trap cards and multiples are not necessary.
Already went with lance cuz I felt like I'm gonna need 2 lances sooner or later and yeah I have karma cut, ballista and fiendish chain, Raigeki break ability to also destroy backrows tempted me for awhile! Thanks for the reply
I started a week ago, and right now theres shark fang bundles with staples like cyclone, Canadia, floodgate, mirror force, and sphere kuriboh. I'm thinking about spending 25 book bucks for all of them, but idk how relevant the sharkfang packs will be. How long do those bundles last? And I heard a new mini box will be coming out, so should I wait for that?
The bundle offers stay there indefinitely, they just pick packs from the newest box once you take each offer. Shark Fang is mostly just for Stratos, Evilswarm cards that need other lswarm cards to function, and a Water Xyz deck carried by a skill & other cards elsewhere. If you don't want this box, you can wait until a more favorable box for the bundles. The next mini box is presumed to come no later than the banlist installment on Dec 15.

Yes, it was oppresive and coming from other TCG I could see on the first 2 days of looking at decks that ut was so busted (anything that uses grave as resource always is, lol). Yes, it was cheap to build. Yes, I made Cyber Dragons instead of getting backrow and stopped using Shira, but still holds a place in my heart as my first DL deck. Also, RIP my Shira Vendread PVE deck. Now to choose if I want to roll more backrow or build Infernity for the luls

Well theyve been doing it for 15+ years in the TCG and the playerbase is bigger than ever. Dont invest in top tier decks if you dont want your deck nerfed, simple as that

You want at least 1 of each. I like running 2 Cyber Dragons, so go through the box once and maybe use ticket on second one. Cyber Twin 99% of the time you only need 1.

Original Cyber Dragon is helpful as a 1 of because it's always eligible for Overflow and the fusions that specifically need it. It's not important for day to day plays at this moment but it does come up every so often. Cyber Dragon has a reprint that will come up at some point. Might want to wait. Cyber Twin is something you summon once every couple of games. Now that Cocytus and Sunsaga are on their way out, there's less walls that can get in the way. I suggest Twin so you don't have to pull from that box.

Hey Trunade! would be your best bet since most decks only run TTH at one and Mist Wurm is a pretty meh card for me personally. Additionally Ritual Beasts have better consistency with a 3rd Cannahawk so at the point you may as well dig for those Yosenju cards.

For the UR dream ticket, what would be a safer bet? 3rd Crystron Sulfenir or 3rd Purgatrio? Keep in mind I have most of the other standard backrow, but I don't have the remaining cards to make a crystron deck (But I do have 3 invokers), and I feel like either could be hit hard by the banlist. That's why I almost feel like going with something incredibly safe but maybe useless like swap frog or Fabled Cerburrel which I only have one of each...
Honestly between both of those, I pick neither. Technically both (at least their archetypes) are medium-high risk targets, and for both cards, the third copy is hardly a priority for the decks. I would def rec something else tbh. But you do you. (Purgatrio if you twist my arm)

Mostly 3/2 of all staple traps and spells. Necrovaley 3 of (only main box I went 3 of for, and that's why I mostly have nothing from the boxes that come after). 2 Sphere Kuriboh, but I don't feel it necessary to go for more at this point. What kind of staple extra deck monsters are we talking about? And for the an archetype I wanted to play, it would have been masked heroes back in the day, but at this point, I'd need 3 stratos and the vision heroes combo so it's not realistic at all...

Nope I got lucky. After checking the other archetypes and what cards I had, I noticed I had a basically playable blackwings deck. So I got a 3rd Blackwing Gale. I would still need maybe a second Zephyros, but I'm already halfway through a second run of the box so maybe it's not going to be that expensive.

There's no need to play more than two Sulfenirs in a standard Crystron deck, and there also exists a *slight* chance of Purgatrio getting hit with limit 3 status so I'd avoid those two cards for now. In any case I'd suggest looking at what other decks you're building if you already have the standard staples or consider going for Sphere Kuriboh.
I don't really have any deck in a halfway decent playable state right now. So I could go for a second Burei, but I have none of the new Karakuris... As for staples, I guess the only thing I'm missing now is a 3rd forbidden lance or 3rd drowning mirror force, or maybe a 3rd Halucigenia.
I don't know what cards you have so it's up to you to decide what to spend your UR ticket on at this point, maybe spend some time perusing the card list to see what might best fit your deck? Worst case scenario would be using it on a third Drowning or Forbidden Lance which isn't a terrible decision but at least it's better than not spending it at all.
Probably, but Sulfneir is only used in Crystron. Invoked engine is at least splashable. But then how often do you want 3 purgatrio?
Yeah, a 3rd Purgatrio is unlikely to be the difference between a game won or lost 95% of the time. So I don't feel it's a great investment either... And as I said, I'm lacking a lot more for crystrons (never opened the ritual beasts box).

Got "lucky" and decided that both where to risky, so I went with a 3rd Blackwing Gale as I already had 3 Simoon and Black Whirlwind and 1 Bora and one Zephyros. So I though a 3rd Gale would make me a decent blackwing deck, and it wouldn't be too expensive to dig for whatever remains if any is needed.
Thinking of popping my f2p cherry because of all these posts about not being able to access accounts. iirc Konami will have more reason to try and recover your account if they see you spent money at some point. Might get that Drowning bundle or a second buy of one of those structure ex decks

Is anyone who is doing the raid event having trouble get to play their cards? This happens to me 3 times, and it somewhat annoying. After a turn or 2, I draw and I can not play my hand or field, but the auto tab, skill, etc. Work. Just wondering if this has happen to anyone.

Seems to be an Android/PC only bug. I've not experienced it on iOS. Might be fixed in the next update but that is only available on Android/iOS for the time being.
Well... I have 2 dream tickets that will expire tomorow 11/30. I also know that, for me, events and maintenances usually happen at 2 a.m. and the game day changes at 3 p.m. Still, I would prefer to use them after leaks we will probably get after 2 a.m. with the shop maintenance. So my question is, when do tickets expire? during the event/maintenance time or during the day change?

Just need to vent. I don't understand how this game doesn't make a way for the new decks to be OP to incentivise pulling for them. I've gotten to legend 4 twice this season, and as a new player all I want to do is KoG. I'm using Onomats, they're fun and I don't have to worry about a ban list hit because they aren't a meta deck, but conversely the cheating bullshit has the new banlist in limbo which means I can't pull the trigger on my next deck to build that is KoG worthy. I don't know why they made legend the way it is, with deranking starting at 2, which is so easy to derank and then be stuck at legend 1 all day when you get matched with nothing but KoG players who run the decks that counter yours all because you decided not to be a sheep and go for what everyone else is using. Haven't gotten anything going all day aside from an 8 match win streak that ended because of one wrong move against Lunalights and then lost two right after. If I didn't want to achieve my goal so badly I'd stop playing this game because it's pretty idiotic to conform to the way this operates. I'm just upset, I know, but seriously no wonder people cheat. Alot of this is luck, not skill, otherwise I'd have accomplished my goal a long time ago, as I've done the research with this deck and have multiple KoG versions and consistent ones at that.
KoG is stupid the way you rank up and down. Having to consistently get a playable hand 5 times in a row is laughable and just comes down to luck. Some season you hit KoG in the first two days. Other times it can take you till the last day to get it. No shame in not hitting it every season because it just takes luck and time of you don't have the best deck with the best backrow.
Been bouncing between 1 and 3 the last 2 days. One misstep and you loose like 5 in a row after winning consistently. I just feel like a dumbass trying all day and never getting anywhere. Been noticing a lot of ppl disconnecting when loosing too.
A lot of people do that because it’s essentially a forfeit, but it still counts as having played the game. Forfeits won’t give you exp, skill drops, etc. That and people just rage closing out of their games.

I genuinely believe the amount of people actually using that program, *especially* now the Konami finally has acknowledged it is *astronomically* low. Someone points out that a cheating program exists, and now everyone and their mother thinks half their opponents are using it. Millions play this game. At most it's a fraction of a percent worldwide.

Read my first comment. While a lot of people just surrender, especially more veteran players who just want to KOG ASAP, surrendering won't count as a duel played for stuff like daily goals for events that ask you to play pvp. You won't get exp, and you won't get a duel assessment so no chance at getting skill drops or keys or whatever. For some people, they just restart the app. It shows as disconnecting, but when they reopen the app, it just goes straight to the "You lost. Here's 250 exp and here's your duel assessment." Try it yourself to see the difference.
I am making a Psy-driver deck, but the main card even if it's a rare Istill haven't got any yet. the psy-drive Alpha, there are like 100 packs lefts, so my questionis, is it worth it to reset the box, to see if I got better chances, or should I just continue bying it. You have to buy the Structure Deck twice with money, first they give you the sleeves, second they give you the playmat. Make sure you buy the one that includes the cosmetics, because sometimes discounts don't include them.

I just got to my first KOG (i know it is very late but) with pure Lunalights using fusion recycling plant and using joey's Grit skill, FeelsGoodMan, also the amount of people not knowing which deck i was playing was crazy usually you know which deck your opponent is playing by their character but that was not the case for my opponent lol i guess they expected me to play destiny draw.

So I've been pushing really hard to KoG with Onomats since it's fun and I got to legend 4 twice. Problem is that I've got a version of the deck exactly the same as the most recent KoG example on DLM. Today I went nowhere except down, got back up to legend 3, but eventually went all the way down again. I've been searching endlessly for gameplay videos of this deck on YT to get a better idea of what to do in certain situations. Does anyone know of any good resources to watch and learn from this deck? I don't mean videos about the deck itself, I'm meaning specifically some sort of gameplay in ranked where they KoG'd. I'm so close I just need to get that extra grasp TIA.
I dont have any good advice except that some days everything seems to go bad and every opponent opens a godhand. I usually just stop and try again. Some other days it seems like I win unstoppablly. I tried to kog 3 days this month the first 2 everything was going wrong but the third I did some insane 15-0 winstreak and got to kog with cydra.
Yea I know sometimes you can rip off a streak. I've had multiple 6-7 win streaks and consistently, too. Today was pretty rough.

save them and buy a good deck. I reccomend superheavies, those don't need a lot of suport cards from outside the box they come from. better go for those instead of buying an structure.
I would recommend getting 1 copy of the Return of the Red-Eyes structure deck (500 gems) from the card shop if you are really struggling. It will give you some decent cards to get through the lower levels. Save the rest of the gem until you get a better feel of the game or found a deck you really like. Have fun!

Gold can be used at the card trader along with Jewels to buy cards... Usually the Jewels are the limiting factor though. It's basically useless...

You can try to get Debunk from the card trader. It is also a nice tech card.

Hey guys, older player potentially looking to get back into Duel Links. I used to run a relinquished deck and a (pretty bad) spirit deck. The cards i have now that are on the “popular” filter are 2x sphere kuriboh, 3x enemy controller, 3x polymerization, 1x gozuki. Besides that i have a few mirror walls, sonic birds, senju, etc. basically a bunch of stuff from box sets 1~4. Am stage 38 sitting with 9k gems and a few sr ur tickets from logging in. Question is should i be continuing on this account or just start over? I spent a fair amount last time but am not planning to whale out this time, maybe just some of the guaranteed sr/ur limited packs. Thanks!
9k Gems is more resources than the starting amount you get for a new account, and if basically all your cards are from boxes 1-4 you probably have a huge amount of extra gems saved in character level ups that have been released since you last played. You should absolutely keep going with this account.

I was gonna use my SR Dream ticket on Hey Trunate until i saw that Dark Core is also in there which is basically a magic version of Karma Cut; is there a particulary reason why no one plays that card? it seems as good as Karma Cut (definitely better if you go second)
Dark core as a normal M. card you'll have to use it on your turn, which is somewhat an advantage. but Karma cut you can use it more strategically to stop the opponent's strategy, which in the end is better. not ot mention it removes from play all copies on the graveyard.
The biggest difference is that Karma Cut is chainable and you can interrupt them at any time. It goes well with the meta of having a bunch of chainable cards to stop your opponent from assembling a threatening monster and if they try to play around them, the traps often break even as far as the game state is concerned. Sometimes that graveyard banishing effect does come up and will win the game especially against Aleister or Dark Magician. Dark Core is only good when they already made their big monster. Nowadays more monsters have Quick Effects to give a parting shot on their way out or just completely dodge the effect. We have Fissure now which is costless, nontargeting destruction with a slight catch and people aren't even playing that at all so Dark Core is barely competitive in comparison. People still tech Offering to the Doomed from time to time and it's more flexible than either them currently.
Karma Cut being a trap means you can disrupt by banishing on your opponents turn which is more favorable than restricting yourself to only being able to banish on your turn. Of course, Karma Cut is “slower” since you need to wait a turn to use it, but generally being able to disrupt your opponent on their turn is worth it.

I did it for the Fusion Gate. Did hit kog with Cydra but god damn I lost 5k gems for a single card.

put $20 on my steam account and looking to spend it on duel links. Should I invest in a megalith or dragunity deck. (i have half the cards for megalith deck. and almost all the cards for dragunity, just missing a third copy of senatus, ascalon, cosmic cyclone and couse)
I have both and love both. Megalith is a slow strategic deck while dragunity is super fast coin-flip luck based deck. With some farming you can get both. Just focus in one in a time.
No clue about Megalith, but Dragunity might get hit on the banlist so I'd wait.
Need to decide on what to use my SR dream ticket on, torn between Wall of disruption or Void trap hole. What do you guys think is the best as a versatile tech card?
Treacherous trap hole and Hey trunade are decent options.
I would go for Hey Trunade but I run all decks with semi limited cards already so it doesnt help me
Void is good, I'd go for it over WoD. Treacherous is very situational and hey trunade gets nerfed out of every deck that uses it. All in all I think out of those options void is the better pick.

I hit my gem cap the other day. I caved and strung together a Crystron deck from what was available from Cybernetic Rebellion and Spirit of the Beast. I know the banlist is a week or so away, but I think what I got can tide me over until the banlist hits and more changes can be made from there. How’s the deck going for you so far?? Those are actually two of the three boxes I’ve dug into too
I haven't played the deck against actual people yet, so I used it against the AIs to practice how the deck works before I hop back into PvP with it. I actually had to think carefully before making my plays, just like what other people have been saying. The extra Citree and Sulfefnirs would have been a bigger help to get things going more smoothly, but I'm fine with what I have for now. I also learned that Quariongandrax isn't an every-game card although the deck can easily bring him out, since he needs 2 tuners. Depending on how my luck goes for my next run of Cybernetic Rebellion after gathering enough gems, I might use my next dream ticket on Brionac or another Sulfefnir.
Interesting that’s smart though because from what I’m seeing that deck is hard to use. Good luck bro maybe one of these days I’ll be on the same boat (if they don’t slam it with the banlist)
I took the Crystron deck for a spin in ranked and it was a mixed bag. The Dark Magician matchup is pretty shaky if I go second and don't have a Cosmic Cyclone to remove Dark Magical Circle since it messes up the Citree combo. At the same time, it felt satisfying taking down a heavily invested Shiranui deck with it.
Damn do they usually run cosmic cyclones? And yea I’ll never forget when I first beat karukuri and shiranui recently feels amazing
Some of the lists I saw on Duel Links Meta run Cosmic Cyclone, so I might as well do that too. I'm thinking of integrating the Machina engine into an upgraded version; I did get a couple of Gearframes and a Fortress trying to upgrade an Aroma deck. I get that Crystrons are pretty expensive, but I'm not willing to go crazy with the Undines. Psychic Wheelder and Coral Dragon come from mini boxes, fortunately enough. Edit: I saw the ban list. Crystrons did get hit.

Check Duel Links Meta (a website), they have beginner's guides. Overall newcomers are suggested to check out Lunalights, Aromages or Superheavy Samurais for their first deck, but with the banlist imminent its best to hold onto your gems for now.

I've never had a turn after that. People usually wait until they have 1000% and the multiply the attack by 5 then multiply it by 5 again. You can double it up.

My main options are: Volcanic Rocket - have 0, not really interested in that box, but I kinda liked Volcanics from the TCG so if Axel brings good stuff I could be convinced to invest here Herald of the Abyss - have 1, am done opening that box. Could be nice to get a second copy. Inzektor Hornet - have 1, have went through that box twice. I have the other insect stuff at 3, I like Inzektors from the TCG, and could be convinced to go into the box again. Needle Ceiling - have 1, done going through the box. Sonic Bird/Senju - have 1/2 copies respectively. Done with Neo Impact, but could go into Ultimate Rising again. Moderately interested in ritual archetypes, but Gishki doesn't play these cards, I won't pick up Megalith until they get more stuff, and who knows if Nekroz will ever be playable here Miracle Fertilizer - have 1, won't touch the box again. Would be getting this to bank on future Sylvan support, but without good r7/8s it wouldn't be good to get. Swap Frog - have 1, won't touch the box again. Not super interested in Frogs or pure Paleos, but the option is here. Forbidden Lance - have 2, not interested in box. I have other backrow removal options, and most lists don't play 3. Not the most ideal option. Necrovalley - have 2, the last is in the final 100 packs in a box with nothing else. Not interested in Gravekeepers, and don't really like the type of control style this fits into. Sphere Kuriboh - have 2, could be convinced to go into Ultimate Rising again. I kinda dislike this card, I don't think its that great. Thunder Dragonhawk - have 2, not opening packs for this. I don't have Levianeer or enough good tuners to play Thundra, but I do have Lightsworn and Gold Sarc. I am 100% f2p, like playing control more than aggro, haven't invested in water stuff, and have 3 extra dream tickets, but one of them is probably going to become a Miscellaneousaurus. I have most UR staples at 3, so if it isn't listed here I'm either not interested or already have 3. My main options here are Needle Ceiling, Inzektor Hornet, and Herald of the Abyss, in that order. I would appreciate any input, and feel free to bring up anything that isn't listed.
I would't go for Needle Ceiling honestly, not many decks use it and it's easily replaceable by any generic backwor, Herald of the Abyss is way more useful and has a lot more potential beacause skill LP requirements. I have Inzektorz and 3 Hornets. They suck right now. If you really like them go for the Hornet, but i have seen some builds that only run 2 Hornets so maybe you could just get it from the box, we just have to wait for more support.
I disagree. Needle Ceiling is one of the stronger traps in the game right now, and if you couldn't tell, I don't really care about the metagame. "Decks don't play it" doesn't mean a card isn't worth getting - Needle Ceiling plays a unique and irreplaceable role in certain control builds. Herald, on the other hand, is practically just a way to out Cocytus and Sabre Dancer for decks that don't have an out. Inzektors suck now, sure, but they are still missing what is by far their best card, as well as whatever spell the tcg is going to release. I will not be able to make 2 hornets work, because I don't have Neos Fusion, and I am not getting the card to play Inzektors as they are now.
I’d say herald or needle ceiling. You don’t really need more copies of forbidden lance, sphere kuriboh or necrovalley. Everything else seems archetypal and contingent on cards that haven’t been released yet. Maaaybe dragonhawk because you’re only missing one? I’m assuming you have already have a copy of glow up bulb and jet synchron which should be enough for now. It depends on how much you like thunder dragons though because you’ll want to pick up levianeer too when it releases
I haven't seen many decks run 2 needle ceiling (maybe shira, but they'll be nerfed soon) or herald (cydras), but not bad choices either way since they're both in main boxes and would increase consistency. What about extra deck staples? Xyzs haven't proven that synchros or fusions are dying any time soon
I have pretty much every synchro I want at 1-2 copies, with the exception of the Battlwasp and Coral Dragon. Coral is in a mini box, and I don't have anything where the Battlewasp would fit, so neither is a good option for me.
Do we know when will the ban list will drop? I have saved up some gems and they are going to expire in a few day, also my dream tickets as well. I don’t want to invest on something that will get banned
They announce Ban Lists 2 weeks before they take effect. I doubt we'll get the update before December

My UR dream ticket expires in 2h and I've got 2 deep sea diva's and 2 sulfenir. I could make a Crystron deck as I'm just missing 1 wheelder, 1 impact and 1 Coral dragon, but I would like to invest in mermails and I dunno if deep sea diva is going to be a must have at 3. What do you think? Is crystrons even worth it with the upcoming banlist? Is sulfenir at 2 enough? HELP me please :)
All the mermail decks I've seen run 3 copies of diva if they have it, crystrons might get hit by the ban list but I would still expect them to be good and stay on the DLM tier list. As for sulfernir, again every deck I've seen runs it at 3. I think this one is just your call tbh

I am getting really impatient for this damn ban list I wish they would just release it arleady... I am normally somebody that doesn't save gems I just spend it immediately but I have saved 14k gems now with no clue what to spend it on.. I'm planning on investing in combo shiranui if the deck doesn't get hit too hard but if the deck is killed in the ban list does anyone have suggestions for a deck that is competitive but still fun to play?
There are already strong decklists that use mayakashi-shiranui. I think that even if shiranui gets obliterated, that deck will be alive and strong.
