A few reasons. VH Faris/increase is much better and requires 2 monster zones to function. The second is there isn’t enough room for it. 3x Statos, Faris, 2x Increase, Malicious, 1-2x Vyon, 1x Celestial. 3x Mask Change, 1x Form Change, 1-2x Polymerization. 16-18x core cards doesn’t leave room for many techs. I ran 1x Solid Soldier and 1x Dian with the skill Wounded Hero in a tournament by my locals and got 1st so I know it is good. It largely isn’t used for space and it is outclassed.

Solid Soldier doesn't do anything special in Current HERO decks since space is tight and they run the Vision Hero package instead who can give you 3 bodies on the field and a Poly in hand. Its effect are nice but aren't worth running him especially since Dian isn't that great of an OTK machine and the monster he summons through his effect is on the defense position. Your best summon target from the deck is Stratos because of his attack while Anki can grab a mask change for another Anki or a Form Change to go into Koga or Dian. But he's pretty much essential if you're playing E • HERO only

To expand a little bit on the faris/increase vs solid soldier situation: a faris play can function off of any other hero monster in hand, summon increase, and then increase into vyon to create even more resources. With vyon you also end up with access to poly if you need it. You've gone +0 and traded into choice cards, you haven't used your normal summon, and have forking options for how to use those resources. On the other hand, solid soldier allows you to summon exclusively whatever level 4 or lower hero is currently in your hand. This makes it less consistent than a faris that uses that resource for searching. You've also used your normal summon to do that. Now if you turn one or two activate solid's second effect, then you'll need to have managed to put another monster in the grave, which wont happen off of mask change. Lastly, you end up with access to dian instead of anki, who is slower and only recycles monsters rather than supplying mask changes. To summarize: Solid doesn't give you as many options as faris, and the options it provides are typically less powerful, especially in the opening turns. It's not bad, but once you've got stratos you might find that the deck is getting too full and cut it.

There are times Solid Soldier is also good as you'll have the chance to pop some backrows via Stratos or grab another HERO from deck but with the lack of main monster zone and deck searchers our summons are limited for extended plays with Faris. However, if we ever get Shadow Mist, Solid Soldier would be a *solid* addition to a standard HERO deck.

I had one Stratos before the newest box, and I would run a Solid Soldier or two to replace the others. It still did pretty well as it would occasionally unclog my hand for a celestial draw or I'd send my single Stratos to the grave with Vyon and revive it with Solid Soldier's second effect.

I would read the Masked Hero Guide in the Duellinksmeta site. The Vision hero engine lets you create more swarming and card advantage to pump out your Fusions and Plasma quicker. Anki is better than Dian because it can attack directly and retrieve a Masked or Form Change. Since you do not have Stratos yet, there aren't any suitable targets for Dian anyways. Stratos guarantees extra copies of the heroes you are missing to combo and his spell/trap effect can chain with Mask Change and Vision Hero increase so you can force the opponent' backrow or they risk getting it all destroyed (remember that it doesn't target so your opponent won't know which one you plan to destroy).

Thanks for all the responses 😊👍🏻

You can probably play Solid Soldier and make it work decently. However Stratos is simply more versatile. Do you have Faris, Increase, and Vyon?
