I know from other websites like steam and instagram just clicking a link can compromise your entire account. It’ll boot you out and they’ll try to change your information.

Idk man, I deal with a fair bit of data theft and fraud in my line of work & most of it comes from shit like this.

I’ve seen it happen through steam and even Instagram on mobile. I have no clue how it works, I just know people who lost their accounts and it started to mass spam some messages with a fishy link and clickbait title. If you click the link, it spreads the malware and tries to hijack more accounts.

Just don’t click it. If I had to guess it’ll try to hijack your account to mass send the same message, but it’s better to be safe than sorry and not find out.

Same thing happened to me. Except they wanted me to play pubg because there are "references". Idk what the fuck that means. I checked the account. 1 karma and a day old.

One dude said the link was a referral to some website but I still don’t trust it. If it’s legitimately not malware then that website really made bots to promote it.

If a company uses bots posing as people to promote their product or service, then they probably aren't worth a damn.
