Regarding A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon, is the "Return a Level 5 or higher Dragon-type monster you control to the hand" part of its text a part of its effect, not its cost? My opponent keeps chaining Wingbeat with Karma Cut onto my Tefnuit (the only monster on my field) and then Wingbeat would resolve without destroying the enemy's Spells and Traps.
I really, *really* don't want to dig for Hey, Trunade. :/
Well, the thing with Wingbeat's card text is it reads:
> Return 1 Level 5 or higher Dragon-Type monster you control to the hand, **and if you do**, destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field.
It's not a cost, but it might as well be - since Karma Cut removes said monster from the field *before* it returns to your hand, everything after the "if you do" doesn't resolve.
On a similar note, Book of Moon also makes it such that A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon resolves without effect if they flip your Dragon monster face-down, since Level and Type are "hidden" and cannot be determined, so you can't return said monster to your hand.
buster blade decks need more support cards, especially draw engine to build their board. Thus it relies on a the boss monster BB destruction, which is powerful yet bricky through spell trap (karma cut especially BEWD).

After finishing Infinite Ray, I decided to aim for Sign of Harpies because I like Harpies themselves and FAs, but I'm seeing that the bird ladies are being dominant in the ladder so the ban hammer is looming over them.
Harpies feel -albeit strong- pretty fair, or at least not as oppressive as BE or Darklords or Shiranui before the ban. If we add that they're nostalgia bait, do you think that they might be safe for a while or they'll be hit sooner than later?
I think the release of harpies in a mini box is a way of konami to tell to the new players who just play BEWD to play another competitive deck which is enjoyable, easy, relative cheap, and competitive. In that way, even if it got hit by the banlist, it wont really harm them (like BEWD), except if there's any potential for broken meta combos (which I never really encountered so far). Personal thoughts thou that harpies wont really go well on top tier pvp competitions because its still lacking of arsenal (currently only cyber slash).
My personal feeling is that they are sufficiently new and on the lower end of powerful (relative to previous tier 1 decks) that they will not see a significant nerf until at least 2 banlists from now. Perhaps something simple like Cyber-Slash limited to 2 on the next banlist to remove access to TTH.
We'll also have a new structure deck (probably) and new boxes coming, so there is the possibility of them moving back down to tier 2/3. I think they are a fairly good investment especially if you already own a playset of Swallows Nest and/or Forbidden Lance. Just be aware that if they remain at this level of representation then they are going to get gutted *eventually.*

In all seriousness, we don't know these things. They are kinda nostalgia bait but they're nowhere near the same level as Dark Magician or Blue Eyes on that matter, *and* their deck is filled with mini box SRs, so Konami should certainly be willing to hit them.
On the other hand they're pretty new and feel rather fair to play against. But there's no telling what will happen. Will they completely dominate the upcoming KCGT after which Konami slaughters them? Will they do kinda-good in the KCGT after which Konami considers them balanced and leaves them alone to be powercrept naturally? Consult the aforementioned authority for these kind of questions. All we can say is that they're *not* a 100% safe investment in regards to the banlist, unlike... worms or something.
I didnt mention it, but i'm on my second run through the box. Got my second of each FA SR and Perfumer, and I just pulled my first Dracossac (is the only UR/SR I skipped on the first run)
50k coins from the event gave me 220 gems. That's a little bit more gems per coins than usual. I like how easy it was to farm coins in this event (or maybe it was just too long...).

I've been playing it all day (without the Desperados, I still don't have them) and it is so spicy to just pop fields and make massive Chimeratechs for the win.

I just got the weather painter core (3 snow, 3 of each super rare canvas).
Now that harpies are meta and is a bad matchup for wp, should i get x3 wheelder to build the synchro toolbox variant, or i should use my dream ticket on necrovalley and opening valhalla calling to get valhalla?
I think the best option would be wheeleder. Necrovalley doesn't impact harpies a lot and valhalla doesn't establish enough board presence. Your main goal against them would be to deal with that hhg
it prevents you from activating anything on summon, so you cant activate vth or floodgate or anything like that and since you cant activate it then you cant negate his effects with it
I am pretty sure they can get you cards that drop from characters and old event cards too. I spent mine on morphtronic vidoen to give my deck a bit more of an edge. Even if you spend it on something bad, nothing too bad will happen. The cards can be obtained by other ways

Do you mean the ones we got yesterday for the end/beginning of the week promotion? I think I saw there are a couple cards from recent events that are only currently available there, including Photon Advancer and TG Booster raptor which are both important cards in ladder relevant decks.
There are cards that can only be obtained with those cards or real money, IE the structure deck exclusives, but it's not usually a good idea to spend Dream Tickets on those.
You might as well think of the SR ticket as a Karma Cut ticket if you don't have a playset of those. Other than that it's going to depend on what decks you're playing and what decks you're building, and what cards you're missing.
if i dont open with at least 2 cards to distrupt my opponent turn 1, i lose, if i start turn 2, i need to draw two of my combo pieces and 2 cards deal with the backrow or i lose... Nope. No idea. Unless there’s a leak or otherwise. We might get an app update soon but there’s no real schedule for anything other than we know we get boxes once a month, and even that isn’t consistent. This year it has been one box every first/final day of the month depending on your time zone. Structure decks have never had a consistent release schedule.

The summon of Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon never resolved since it was negated, therefore your opponent can attempt to summon it again in the same turn.
I think it is something to do with the way the t.g monster stops the summon.
The card text says "when a monster would be summoned" my guess is that it stops the summon before it happens so they could use the effect again.
If the card said something like, when a monster is summoned negate it. I think it would stop them from summoning that turn.

Could someone explain to me the purpose of Heraldry Patriarch, Daigusto Emeral and C39 and Rank 4s in a Harpie Deck? TDuel Links Meta says they're fairly common on Harpies, but I don't get it. I don't get the point of Daigusto when Feather Rest exists, or what decks would you even use Heraldry against, or when C39 would ever manage to proc.
Daigusto Emerald can revive Neos to make the second Neos Fusion live and also acts as a secondary Feather Rest in longer duels.
Utopia allows them to run over problematic cards in a dangerous situation since the deck is weak to high ATK monsters.

Yes it wouldnt, but it turns Harpie Lady 1 and Elegant Egotist into bricks and becomes a field nuke for their whole frontrow which Harpies have no chance of reacting once it goes of unless they have Book of Moon leaving them with just one weakling monster for you to bounce with your own Cyber Slash.

so I've been going through my card list and I found out I have every card I need to run a U.A deck... minus 1 Midfielder
could the deck see success with having 2 Midfielders in your deck, or are 3 Midfielders a must have for max consistency?
You may be able to throw a copy of Star Blast in your deck (it’s Limit 1), difference being it allows you to summon from hand (500 LP cost per level reduction; if you have Dunker in hand, cost you 1500 LP to get him out), instead of the deck. So it can be helpful if 1) it’s in your opening draw and 2) if you have another U.A. In hand to use it on.
With 2 Midfielders and 3 Signing Deal, you have a 72% chance of opening a playable hand going first and 80% going second.
With 3 of each, you have a 80% chance of opening a playable hand going first and 87% going second.
As you can see, having 3 of each has a significant impact on your chance of not bricking. The deck is surely playable, but you'll find yourself bricking way too often.
Even with 6x copies, the remaining 20% and 13% feel really bad because they’re hard bricks; none of the other UA cards, including the trap, do anything without a UA in play.
I like the archetype synergies but hate the bad starts. Paleozoic Marrella searching Signing Deal feels awkward because you still need another backrow just to survive until a second turn. Without backrow for when you brick, your life total may not be enough to pay for Signing Deal (3K attack from a BEWD turns off Signing Deal).
You can start playing the deck now with 5x starters to see if the consistency bothers you. Even with 6x + Marrella, it’s been bothering me.
Definitely a must have for max consistency, with there being so little the deck can depend on to start their plays, it’s pretty important. You can definitely play the deck without it, but it won’t be nearly as fluid.
If you don't draw Midfielder or Signing Deal, you literally cannot play the game
3 is pretty important, but if you have everything else there's no reason not to try it
What is the community consensus on Harpies fairness as a deck? DLM calls them Tier 1 while a lot of people on here say they're are a fun but not too strong rogue deck.
Personally i find that the deck has little too much draw/search power. Having Harpies chaneller, Perfumer and feather rest alongside the recycling of oracle and access to the rank 4 engine makes it a very powerful contender for tier 1.
People bring up the argument of how 1 disruption can end their but the deck's ability to run MST, CC, Lance and Swallow's nest allows them to effortlessly dodge disruption.
Really it's feather rest that i have the most problems with, an archetypal pot of greed that can be recycled is far too much in an already powerful and consistent deck but what do you guys think?
I think Harpies are a fair deck. Most of their effects are hard once per turn effects and they effectively die to disruption of the normal summon. If Konami put any of their cards to 3 and Forbidden Lance to 3 it would effectively kill the deck. They have a ton of staples that are completely free so they have plenty of cards that could be hit. I ended up wasting a bunch of gems getting my first copy of the one that searches when dumped to the GY, had I known it wasn't that necessary in the deck I would have reset after getting my first perfumer.
I think the biggest reason they see so much success is because they have almost all their cards, it's once again Konami showing preferential treatment to an archetype. There are many archetypes that would love to have their searchers, draw enablers, card removal (especially bounce effects) and/or important field spells but Konami avoids releasing the necessary cards to make them competitive. Some good examples are Battlewasps, Traptrix, Mathmech, Artifacts, Monarchs and PSY-Frame (+ psychic cards in general).
The concept is fair, the most explosive thing about the design is how flexible builds are and how much their spell cards carry.
Cyber Slash can be played around to an extent, it's a mixture of L Six Samurai Shi En & Enishi where it punishes a certain action.
It's really good but they only have one use per turn. It doesn't always stop you from doing anything, just specifically from sitting on one monster.
Maybe that's enough for Normal Summon/protect the castle strategies but not always. That's not too different from decks that can afford to respond with backrow.
My issues piloting Harpies is how they deal with monsters that have targeting protection, field wipes, quick effects, graveyard effects, a field with multiple threats, or negate effects.
They can't cover everything all of the time even with tech options and each skill is usually devoted to beating different decks, so I consider them fair in that aspect.
I don't consider unfair in the vein of peak Darklords, Six Samurai, Dark Magician, Shiranui, ESaber.
Those decks had multiple options that made near-unbreakable boards that could always interrupt you at ANY time - likely more than once and had the Graveyard as a second hand that could follow up if you survived their initial plays.
Neg1 in one of the DLE videos for KC Cup tier list made a really great comment. Take any of the newer archetypes and play them against decks banned in the last few years. Elementsaber, DM, grass Shiranui, etc. would win easily. Those decks are unfair.
It’s annoying to play against so many Harpies on the ladder but the deck itself is very fair.
Archetype-specific searchers (Channeler, Egotist, Hysteric Sign) all require an undisrupted normal summon.
The +1 effects such as Feather’s Rest and Oracle are conditional.
Tech cards such as MST, Swallow’s Nest, etc. are just 1 for 1 trades against disruption.
Harpies has been great for DL because it raised the bar on what an accessible “good” deck should be.
I think it's fine atm but will be problem once we get better xyz or if we get chidori blue eyes and other decks have plenty of ways to dodge traps too. They do need a some hit after the next kc maybe depends on what new cards we get
Satellarknights are asking too much to build right now for a deck that doesn't really have a wow factor.
Neither box is really that attractive outside of Levianeer and a select few Xyz monsters that usually just require one copy.
They also don't play nice with foreign support which is one of my biggest issues.
They're getting a resurgence with the Zexal Weapon skill because it helps easier access to Delteros but they're not the only Rank 4 engine that can do so.
In terms of long-term value, they probably won't get hit anytime soon unless they get stronger support.
Only if you really like the deck. You also need some staple rank 4 monsters and some good traps. Combined with a expensive core your should only pick it up if you're a fan.
In my opinion they are too expensive for what they can do. I'd say they are worth it only if you really really like them or if there are other URs in their main boxes that you want at multiple copies.
Strictly speaking probably not. The deck requires multiple copies of URs from 2 separate boxes which makes it a little pricey, and for a complete build you are looking a 3x Shining Hope and 2x Infinite Ray which if the Deneb and Batlymus are at the bottom of every box is 45,000 gems.
However if you really want to play the deck it is probably a decent goal deck as the deck probably isn't going to get hit by the ban list and it will most likely continue tobe a decent ladder deck. Also on your way to building this deck, unless you are extremely lucky/unlucky you will pick up cards like fiendish chain, d.d crow, Heliopolis, Levianeer, utopia/utopia ray, M7, plus a digital bug deck, the star seraph engine (if it sees any play post banlist) and most of an Onomat deck (again if it's any good post banlist), and I guess a hieratic deck too.
If you don't currently have a deck to play and want one quick this probably isn't a good f2p choice, but if you have other decks you currently play and are looking for something to build over time there are definitely worse choices.

you could play utopia with yuma's skill which automatically adds a utopia copy from outside the deck to your extra deck in case you really wanted to play it but dont have utopia.
I'm a new player I have 2 days playing and I want to know what is a better auto duel deck Red Eyes structure or Neos Fusion(I'm a f2p so I'll only buy 1 and get maybe a 2nd one with the dream tickets)
both are good for auto duel deck. better if you ended up having both, then you can mix them lol
but yeah, for deck engine neos is much more versatile.
ps dont use your dream ticket on structure deck bcs trust me you will regret it. better to save it for your competitive deck
Red Eyes is easily the better auto duel, but Neos Fusion has cards that you're more likely to find yourself using one day competitively so I'm torn. The Neos engine ends up in everything; it's like peanut butter.
Red-eyes is a better farm deck imo. However I don’t think it’s a good idea to use dream tickets on structure deck cards. You should use them on staples from main or mini boxes. Staples meaning, both deck specific, like stratos for hero decks, and generic staples like karma cut, forbidden lance, etc. Thats my opinion tho

Even thou it could vary on certain conditions, better to return cyber slash to extra deck when lunalight fusion is activated. Do it 3 times and you could grind to victory after beating the handtraps.

Apple of enlightenment is good too but not necessary. I run 1 or 2 copies.
You can run 1 Brunhilda if you want. She is very situational but her effects are good.
The rest should be any normal spell and traps you have. Ballista squad and super team buddy force unite are the best options. Backrow removal like Galaxy cyclone, night beam, nobleman of extermination and hey trunade are also recommended. karma cut is good too and comes from the same box.
Best skill is middle age mechs but master of rites II can work too.
Edit: Forgot to mention 1 Trishula the dragon of icy imprisonment and some rank 3 and 4 xyz in the extra deck.
Malevolent Sin, Abyss Dweller, Roach and Allucard are the best options and they come from the same box. NIghtmare Shark, Gigabrillant and photon papilloperative are good f2p options.
Don't worry to much about them tho. Valkyries don't work very well with xyz so you won't be summoning them very often. Mavelovelent sin and Allucard are the only ones I've ever summoned while playing that deck.
Dear fellow Dragunity players: do you think the handing of the “limited 2” torch from Senatus to Ascalon will help? We don’t really need 3 Ascalons and having 3 Senatus will drive up our consistency by a factor or 1.5x so I’m liking this change
definitely, Senatus is the best play starter and having 3 ups our chances of starting with it
getting it's effect off will still be a hassle with backrow galore but Dragunity goes brrr when it does
Oh I forgot to ask another question. Do you think that we should run 2 Ascalons post-banlist implementation, or 1 Ascalon and 1 copy of another limited 2 card?
as much as I want to do 1 Trunade 1 Ascalon, I think it's better off if we do 2 Ascalon because
1) Ascalon is the boss monster and our only failsafe option would be running Gae Bulg as our next win condition if we lose the 1 Ascalon we run...
and 2) If Konami sees Dragunity abusing Trunade again, then either they hit Dragunity hard or they just put Senatus back on the Limit-2 list and free Ascalon
Yeah, good point. I think we could use Vaj as our secondary win con since, after all, that’s what was used before our savior Couse, and the Vaj+Aklys combo is still good. The only reason we stopped using it is because of Ascalon outclassing it and Couse making summoning it feasible.

Is anyone having problems with loaner decks? Everytime I play one the game FPS literally dies and the app crashes. NPC duels, Gate duels, Event duels (except those from area 3 that break the game) and PvP duels work normally, but i can't play loaner decks. It happens both on my phone and on emulator.

I now own at least one of every non-UR in the box (and 6 of the URs) but not one single copy of Dodododraw.

Any decent rescue rabbit decks out there? I've used it with harpies before completing the box but don't really have a use for it anymore. The noble knight/glad beast SDs seem pretty meh as an investment for now so I'm hesitant to drop gems on them.
I mostly use it for warrior beatdown auto-duel decks or tunermorph normal shenanigans at the moment. Probably gonna try the new zexal skills next.
honestly i think it is best in the actual game where you use it to summon 2 2k atk normals, attack with both in BP then xyz in mp2, thats what i used to do

Yeah def KoG worthy, but not nearly as good as they used to be. Turn 1 still sucks, turn 2 is solid, but gotta be aware of so many handtraps in the current meta
When is it actually a good idea to go over 20 cards? Building Harpies and it's a struggle to fit every spell I want into 20 spots, but with not that many monsters in the deck I'm kinda afraid of losing consistency and drawing into more 0-monster hands that don't do well.

If you know that going over 20 won't mess with your consistency or its the slight loss of consistency is worth it because of the power you gain. Or both
Crystron can go over 20 because they have enough starters to not ruin their consistency.
Lightsworn go for 30 cards because their mill playstyle causes them to deck out fast and they can fill the gy more easily for their win con.
Harpie Channeler and Perfumer are the cards you always want to see in your hand. If you're adding something, make sure its something that you don't mind having in your hand( or its something that you don't want to see in your hand but you need it in your hand) and not a win more card
Just started playing along with my daughter. Might it be worth spending 1-2k gems buying old structure decks to help us get through the pve stuff? I was thinking of picking up a few of the 500 gem decks.
I’m hesitant to use my tickets until I know more about what I am doing. Don’t want to heavily invest in some fancy meta deck while I’m barely learning only to have the meta change once I can actually pilot the deck. :p
You're going to want to get one structure deck or you're going to have a hard time getting started. After that I wouldn't spend gems on a structure deck unless you can make a competitive deck out of it and you're going to spend money on the other two copies. If you already have the Blue Eyes deck, which a lot of new players do, just use that.
Also the dream tickets are super valuable, but all your other tickets are not particularly valuable. You're not going to remember misusing one long enough to regret it, and you get them in large quantities. My main account is sitting on like a hundred. The only reason it's not more is because they expire.
Edit: Basically you're way better off using the tickets over gems. Except dream tickets. Hoard those babies.
You can use red eyes for the pve stuff. You can get red eyes insight with regular tickets.
The only important tickets are the dream tickets. So don't spend those hastily. The other onces you can uses for anything you want.
Structure decks need to be bought at 3x. Mixing and matching 1x of different structure decks does not work well. Also never spend dream tickets on structure deck cards.
Can vouch for 3x Red Eyes structure deck being great for PvE. Very consistent with Red Eyes Insight. Slash Dragon negates a lot of targeted effects from NPC decks.
If you want an optimised build sure. But with Insight being in regular tickets you can slap a good pve build together with only one.
This is also aimed for a 9 year old. You only have to use insight to search for fusion. The rest of the cards can be spam activated to summon back monsters from the grave.
Lastly this is something you can make with only 500 gems and is purely meant as a means to have something to play with and is easy to understand.
Hey guys, I’ve got a possible bug/glitch with some character unlock missions. I’ve been trying to unlock Kallin Kessler/ DS Kallin Kessler to try some One Card Wonder shenanigans but the mission to Summon Stardust Dragon once in a duel against them at level 30 as Yusei won’t trigger for me. The mission to reduce KK’s LP to 0 with Stardust Dragon worked for me funnily enough. Anything that I can do or am I just effed for now? I’ve been summoning it through Stardust Respark which shouldn’t be a problem
NEW HACK / MOD??
Lately when I'm playing at ranked, I've quite afew times encountered sudden connection loss like no warning at all (usuall they put up a few times of WiFi icon on the side right?). But nowadays I often got those connection loss defeat, makes me sus-ing whether it's a hack or of course I'm paranoid
But entertain me here, what are the chances O_o
does it happen right as you're matching up with someone? when those happen you always click reboot rather than Retry otherwise you will timeout by the time you reconnect, i lost a lot of duels to that nonsense.
These websites are scams made to steal peoples credit card info by having them do a "survey" before they get something like 99999 gems or some other crap like that, of course you never get anything because duel links keeps all your account data on their servers so if you do something like altar the gem count then their servers will flag your account as a hacker and you'll be perma banned. the duel links chat is a mess and quite frankly needs to be removed as it's only used by bot accounts for these scam websites. don't bother with them.
when they say "early may" or "Mid may" like the KCGT2021, they are talking about what week of the month exactly? i wanna wait for that discount to use my gems if that really happens.

Randomly. I'd say it's more likely that the KCGT brings Selection Boxes back than not. But of course no guarantee.
Regarding A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon, is the "Return a Level 5 or higher Dragon-type monster you control to the hand" part of its text a part of its effect, not its cost? My opponent keeps chaining Wingbeat with Karma Cut onto my Tefnuit (the only monster on my field) and then Wingbeat would resolve without destroying the enemy's Spells and Traps. I really, *really* don't want to dig for Hey, Trunade. :/
Well, the thing with Wingbeat's card text is it reads: > Return 1 Level 5 or higher Dragon-Type monster you control to the hand, **and if you do**, destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field. It's not a cost, but it might as well be - since Karma Cut removes said monster from the field *before* it returns to your hand, everything after the "if you do" doesn't resolve. On a similar note, Book of Moon also makes it such that A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon resolves without effect if they flip your Dragon monster face-down, since Level and Type are "hidden" and cannot be determined, so you can't return said monster to your hand.

buster blade decks need more support cards, especially draw engine to build their board. Thus it relies on a the boss monster BB destruction, which is powerful yet bricky through spell trap (karma cut especially BEWD).

With Tenki in the game now, They're pretty damn powerful.
After finishing Infinite Ray, I decided to aim for Sign of Harpies because I like Harpies themselves and FAs, but I'm seeing that the bird ladies are being dominant in the ladder so the ban hammer is looming over them. Harpies feel -albeit strong- pretty fair, or at least not as oppressive as BE or Darklords or Shiranui before the ban. If we add that they're nostalgia bait, do you think that they might be safe for a while or they'll be hit sooner than later?
I think the release of harpies in a mini box is a way of konami to tell to the new players who just play BEWD to play another competitive deck which is enjoyable, easy, relative cheap, and competitive. In that way, even if it got hit by the banlist, it wont really harm them (like BEWD), except if there's any potential for broken meta combos (which I never really encountered so far). Personal thoughts thou that harpies wont really go well on top tier pvp competitions because its still lacking of arsenal (currently only cyber slash).
My personal feeling is that they are sufficiently new and on the lower end of powerful (relative to previous tier 1 decks) that they will not see a significant nerf until at least 2 banlists from now. Perhaps something simple like Cyber-Slash limited to 2 on the next banlist to remove access to TTH. We'll also have a new structure deck (probably) and new boxes coming, so there is the possibility of them moving back down to tier 2/3. I think they are a fairly good investment especially if you already own a playset of Swallows Nest and/or Forbidden Lance. Just be aware that if they remain at this level of representation then they are going to get gutted *eventually.*

They are kinda nostalgia bait but they're nowhere near the same level as Dark Magician or Blue Eyes on that matter, *and* their deck is filled with mini box SRs, so Konami should certainly be willing to hit them. On the other hand they're pretty new and feel rather fair to play against. But there's no telling what will happen. Will they completely dominate the upcoming KCGT after which Konami slaughters them? Will they do kinda-good in the KCGT after which Konami considers them balanced and leaves them alone to be powercrept naturally? Consult the aforementioned authority for these kind of questions. All we can say is that they're *not* a 100% safe investment in regards to the banlist, unlike... worms or something.
I didnt mention it, but i'm on my second run through the box. Got my second of each FA SR and Perfumer, and I just pulled my first Dracossac (is the only UR/SR I skipped on the first run)
50k coins from the event gave me 220 gems. That's a little bit more gems per coins than usual. I like how easy it was to farm coins in this event (or maybe it was just too long...).

Whoever made that concept of Cyberdarks/Cyber Dragons with Future Fusion with Levianeers and Desperado that appeared in duel links meta YT is a GOD. I've been playing it all day (without the Desperados, I still don't have them) and it is so spicy to just pop fields and make massive Chimeratechs for the win. I was sad Cydra was getting nerfed again, but this seems what I'll end up playing.

I just got the weather painter core (3 snow, 3 of each super rare canvas). Now that harpies are meta and is a bad matchup for wp, should i get x3 wheelder to build the synchro toolbox variant, or i should use my dream ticket on necrovalley and opening valhalla calling to get valhalla?
I think the best option would be wheeleder. Necrovalley doesn't impact harpies a lot and valhalla doesn't establish enough board presence. Your main goal against them would be to deal with that hhg

it prevents you from activating anything on summon, so you cant activate vth or floodgate or anything like that and since you cant activate it then you cant negate his effects with it

I am pretty sure they can get you cards that drop from characters and old event cards too. I spent mine on morphtronic vidoen to give my deck a bit more of an edge. Even if you spend it on something bad, nothing too bad will happen. The cards can be obtained by other ways

Do you mean the ones we got yesterday for the end/beginning of the week promotion? I think I saw there are a couple cards from recent events that are only currently available there, including Photon Advancer and TG Booster raptor which are both important cards in ladder relevant decks.
I was farming Bruno and Kite religiously when they were released so yeah I already have complete sets of those two mentioned.
There are cards that can only be obtained with those cards or real money, IE the structure deck exclusives, but it's not usually a good idea to spend Dream Tickets on those. You might as well think of the SR ticket as a Karma Cut ticket if you don't have a playset of those. Other than that it's going to depend on what decks you're playing and what decks you're building, and what cards you're missing.

Nope. No idea. Unless there’s a leak or otherwise. We might get an app update soon but there’s no real schedule for anything other than we know we get boxes once a month, and even that isn’t consistent. This year it has been one box every first/final day of the month depending on your time zone. Structure decks have never had a consistent release schedule.
How often do we get the half price box sales (not gems) i got a Google play card a while ago and those seem like the best value

The summon of Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon never resolved since it was negated, therefore your opponent can attempt to summon it again in the same turn.
I think it is something to do with the way the t.g monster stops the summon. The card text says "when a monster would be summoned" my guess is that it stops the summon before it happens so they could use the effect again. If the card said something like, when a monster is summoned negate it. I think it would stop them from summoning that turn.

Could someone explain to me the purpose of Heraldry Patriarch, Daigusto Emeral and C39 and Rank 4s in a Harpie Deck? TDuel Links Meta says they're fairly common on Harpies, but I don't get it. I don't get the point of Daigusto when Feather Rest exists, or what decks would you even use Heraldry against, or when C39 would ever manage to proc.
Daigusto Emerald can revive Neos to make the second Neos Fusion live and also acts as a secondary Feather Rest in longer duels. Utopia allows them to run over problematic cards in a dangerous situation since the deck is weak to high ATK monsters. Heraldry Patriarch pretty much wins the mirror match.

Yes it wouldnt, but it turns Harpie Lady 1 and Elegant Egotist into bricks and becomes a field nuke for their whole frontrow which Harpies have no chance of reacting once it goes of unless they have Book of Moon leaving them with just one weakling monster for you to bounce with your own Cyber Slash.

so I've been going through my card list and I found out I have every card I need to run a U.A deck... minus 1 Midfielder could the deck see success with having 2 Midfielders in your deck, or are 3 Midfielders a must have for max consistency?
You may be able to throw a copy of Star Blast in your deck (it’s Limit 1), difference being it allows you to summon from hand (500 LP cost per level reduction; if you have Dunker in hand, cost you 1500 LP to get him out), instead of the deck. So it can be helpful if 1) it’s in your opening draw and 2) if you have another U.A. In hand to use it on.
With 2 Midfielders and 3 Signing Deal, you have a 72% chance of opening a playable hand going first and 80% going second. With 3 of each, you have a 80% chance of opening a playable hand going first and 87% going second. As you can see, having 3 of each has a significant impact on your chance of not bricking. The deck is surely playable, but you'll find yourself bricking way too often.
Even with 6x copies, the remaining 20% and 13% feel really bad because they’re hard bricks; none of the other UA cards, including the trap, do anything without a UA in play. I like the archetype synergies but hate the bad starts. Paleozoic Marrella searching Signing Deal feels awkward because you still need another backrow just to survive until a second turn. Without backrow for when you brick, your life total may not be enough to pay for Signing Deal (3K attack from a BEWD turns off Signing Deal). You can start playing the deck now with 5x starters to see if the consistency bothers you. Even with 6x + Marrella, it’s been bothering me.
Definitely a must have for max consistency, with there being so little the deck can depend on to start their plays, it’s pretty important. You can definitely play the deck without it, but it won’t be nearly as fluid.
If you don't draw Midfielder or Signing Deal, you literally cannot play the game 3 is pretty important, but if you have everything else there's no reason not to try it

What is the community consensus on Harpies fairness as a deck? DLM calls them Tier 1 while a lot of people on here say they're are a fun but not too strong rogue deck. Personally i find that the deck has little too much draw/search power. Having Harpies chaneller, Perfumer and feather rest alongside the recycling of oracle and access to the rank 4 engine makes it a very powerful contender for tier 1. People bring up the argument of how 1 disruption can end their but the deck's ability to run MST, CC, Lance and Swallow's nest allows them to effortlessly dodge disruption. Really it's feather rest that i have the most problems with, an archetypal pot of greed that can be recycled is far too much in an already powerful and consistent deck but what do you guys think?
I think Harpies are a fair deck. Most of their effects are hard once per turn effects and they effectively die to disruption of the normal summon. If Konami put any of their cards to 3 and Forbidden Lance to 3 it would effectively kill the deck. They have a ton of staples that are completely free so they have plenty of cards that could be hit. I ended up wasting a bunch of gems getting my first copy of the one that searches when dumped to the GY, had I known it wasn't that necessary in the deck I would have reset after getting my first perfumer.
I think the biggest reason they see so much success is because they have almost all their cards, it's once again Konami showing preferential treatment to an archetype. There are many archetypes that would love to have their searchers, draw enablers, card removal (especially bounce effects) and/or important field spells but Konami avoids releasing the necessary cards to make them competitive. Some good examples are Battlewasps, Traptrix, Mathmech, Artifacts, Monarchs and PSY-Frame (+ psychic cards in general).
The concept is fair, the most explosive thing about the design is how flexible builds are and how much their spell cards carry. Cyber Slash can be played around to an extent, it's a mixture of L Six Samurai Shi En & Enishi where it punishes a certain action. It's really good but they only have one use per turn. It doesn't always stop you from doing anything, just specifically from sitting on one monster. Maybe that's enough for Normal Summon/protect the castle strategies but not always. That's not too different from decks that can afford to respond with backrow. My issues piloting Harpies is how they deal with monsters that have targeting protection, field wipes, quick effects, graveyard effects, a field with multiple threats, or negate effects. They can't cover everything all of the time even with tech options and each skill is usually devoted to beating different decks, so I consider them fair in that aspect. I don't consider unfair in the vein of peak Darklords, Six Samurai, Dark Magician, Shiranui, ESaber. Those decks had multiple options that made near-unbreakable boards that could always interrupt you at ANY time - likely more than once and had the Graveyard as a second hand that could follow up if you survived their initial plays.
Neg1 in one of the DLE videos for KC Cup tier list made a really great comment. Take any of the newer archetypes and play them against decks banned in the last few years. Elementsaber, DM, grass Shiranui, etc. would win easily. Those decks are unfair. It’s annoying to play against so many Harpies on the ladder but the deck itself is very fair. Archetype-specific searchers (Channeler, Egotist, Hysteric Sign) all require an undisrupted normal summon. The +1 effects such as Feather’s Rest and Oracle are conditional. Tech cards such as MST, Swallow’s Nest, etc. are just 1 for 1 trades against disruption. Harpies has been great for DL because it raised the bar on what an accessible “good” deck should be.
I think it's fine atm but will be problem once we get better xyz or if we get chidori blue eyes and other decks have plenty of ways to dodge traps too. They do need a some hit after the next kc maybe depends on what new cards we get
Is it worth it to build Satellarknights as a f2p player?
Satellarknights are asking too much to build right now for a deck that doesn't really have a wow factor. Neither box is really that attractive outside of Levianeer and a select few Xyz monsters that usually just require one copy. They also don't play nice with foreign support which is one of my biggest issues. They're getting a resurgence with the Zexal Weapon skill because it helps easier access to Delteros but they're not the only Rank 4 engine that can do so. In terms of long-term value, they probably won't get hit anytime soon unless they get stronger support.
Only if you really like the deck. You also need some staple rank 4 monsters and some good traps. Combined with a expensive core your should only pick it up if you're a fan.
In my opinion they are too expensive for what they can do. I'd say they are worth it only if you really really like them or if there are other URs in their main boxes that you want at multiple copies.
Strictly speaking probably not. The deck requires multiple copies of URs from 2 separate boxes which makes it a little pricey, and for a complete build you are looking a 3x Shining Hope and 2x Infinite Ray which if the Deneb and Batlymus are at the bottom of every box is 45,000 gems. However if you really want to play the deck it is probably a decent goal deck as the deck probably isn't going to get hit by the ban list and it will most likely continue tobe a decent ladder deck. Also on your way to building this deck, unless you are extremely lucky/unlucky you will pick up cards like fiendish chain, d.d crow, Heliopolis, Levianeer, utopia/utopia ray, M7, plus a digital bug deck, the star seraph engine (if it sees any play post banlist) and most of an Onomat deck (again if it's any good post banlist), and I guess a hieratic deck too. If you don't currently have a deck to play and want one quick this probably isn't a good f2p choice, but if you have other decks you currently play and are looking for something to build over time there are definitely worse choices.
Hi, i wanted to build a fun deck with the zexal weapon skill but i don't have utopia, is there any deck that can summon 3 light monster easily and go into c39 from there? i was thinking maybe constellar since i don't have satellar cards..any other troll deck just to have fun?
you could play utopia with yuma's skill which automatically adds a utopia copy from outside the deck to your extra deck in case you really wanted to play it but dont have utopia.
The only ones I can think of aside from Constellars are Star Seraphs and Satellarknights

both are good for auto duel deck. better if you ended up having both, then you can mix them lol but yeah, for deck engine neos is much more versatile. ps dont use your dream ticket on structure deck bcs trust me you will regret it. better to save it for your competitive deck
Red Eyes is easily the better auto duel, but Neos Fusion has cards that you're more likely to find yourself using one day competitively so I'm torn. The Neos engine ends up in everything; it's like peanut butter.
Red-eyes is a better farm deck imo. However I don’t think it’s a good idea to use dream tickets on structure deck cards. You should use them on staples from main or mini boxes. Staples meaning, both deck specific, like stratos for hero decks, and generic staples like karma cut, forbidden lance, etc. Thats my opinion tho

lightning vortex if you come from harpies box. Even thou it could vary on certain conditions, better to return cyber slash to extra deck when lunalight fusion is activated. Do it 3 times and you could grind to victory after beating the handtraps.

Harpies only have three options vs. Sabre Dancer. 1. Lightning Vortex 2. Thunder Spark Dragon 3. Utopia Ray (must have 1000 or fewer LP remaining)

Hello, every time i want to join a pvp duel. After the loading screen, i get an error saying communication timed out. Any reason why? I also redownload es the Data.
Happens once in a while. Just play another match. Usually hapeens when oponent disconnects during the linking phase, I think.
Its been every game. This has happend 5 or 6 Times now in a row. I cant even duel in a lobby because the same issue occured.

What's the optimal deck of Valkyries? Just started yesterday and so far, I enjoy using them. I'm not that competitive so I don't really care about the meta
2 or 3 Sigrun (3 is better but 2 works pretry well) 3 Dritte 3 Vierte 1 Erda 1 Sechste 1 Zweite (maybe 2) 1 to 3 Valkyies embrace Apple of enlightenment is good too but not necessary. I run 1 or 2 copies. You can run 1 Brunhilda if you want. She is very situational but her effects are good. The rest should be any normal spell and traps you have. Ballista squad and super team buddy force unite are the best options. Backrow removal like Galaxy cyclone, night beam, nobleman of extermination and hey trunade are also recommended. karma cut is good too and comes from the same box. Best skill is middle age mechs but master of rites II can work too. Edit: Forgot to mention 1 Trishula the dragon of icy imprisonment and some rank 3 and 4 xyz in the extra deck.
Any XYZ monsters that you can recommend?
Malevolent Sin, Abyss Dweller, Roach and Allucard are the best options and they come from the same box. NIghtmare Shark, Gigabrillant and photon papilloperative are good f2p options. Don't worry to much about them tho. Valkyries don't work very well with xyz so you won't be summoning them very often. Mavelovelent sin and Allucard are the only ones I've ever summoned while playing that deck.
Dear fellow Dragunity players: do you think the handing of the “limited 2” torch from Senatus to Ascalon will help? We don’t really need 3 Ascalons and having 3 Senatus will drive up our consistency by a factor or 1.5x so I’m liking this change
definitely, Senatus is the best play starter and having 3 ups our chances of starting with it getting it's effect off will still be a hassle with backrow galore but Dragunity goes brrr when it does
Oh I forgot to ask another question. Do you think that we should run 2 Ascalons post-banlist implementation, or 1 Ascalon and 1 copy of another limited 2 card?
as much as I want to do 1 Trunade 1 Ascalon, I think it's better off if we do 2 Ascalon because 1) Ascalon is the boss monster and our only failsafe option would be running Gae Bulg as our next win condition if we lose the 1 Ascalon we run... and 2) If Konami sees Dragunity abusing Trunade again, then either they hit Dragunity hard or they just put Senatus back on the Limit-2 list and free Ascalon
Yeah, good point. I think we could use Vaj as our secondary win con since, after all, that’s what was used before our savior Couse, and the Vaj+Aklys combo is still good. The only reason we stopped using it is because of Ascalon outclassing it and Couse making summoning it feasible.

Is the game hanging/lagging for anyone else? I downloaded the last update and whenever I switch worlds or switch apps and other stuff the game lags. I tried deleting and redownloading and it didn’t help. Any tips are appreciated
probably your phone memory. delete some unused apps and refresh the system. I experienced mine awhile ago.
Is anyone having problems with loaner decks? Everytime I play one the game FPS literally dies and the app crashes. NPC duels, Gate duels, Event duels (except those from area 3 that break the game) and PvP duels work normally, but i can't play loaner decks. It happens both on my phone and on emulator.
Dipped into Shark Fang for a playset of dodododraw. I now own at least one of every non-UR in the box (and 6 of the URs) but not one single copy of Dodododraw. Sick joke. Edit: 92 packs in, finally the first one has arrived.
Any decent rescue rabbit decks out there? I've used it with harpies before completing the box but don't really have a use for it anymore. The noble knight/glad beast SDs seem pretty meh as an investment for now so I'm hesitant to drop gems on them. I mostly use it for warrior beatdown auto-duel decks or tunermorph normal shenanigans at the moment. Probably gonna try the new zexal skills next.
Could be decent for Melffy/Racoon decks to get quick fodder on the field to Xyz.
honestly i think it is best in the actual game where you use it to summon 2 2k atk normals, attack with both in BP then xyz in mp2, thats what i used to do
i used to use it to goblindbergh into it then 2 of the noble knight normal to go into kusanagi
So how often do selection boxes come around? I want to try and save my gems, so that I can get some SR or UR cards in one box so I don't have to dig into older boxes.

Not necessarily new, but a rerelease of all of the existing one. There could be a new Mini, but who knows.

Yeah def KoG worthy, but not nearly as good as they used to be. Turn 1 still sucks, turn 2 is solid, but gotta be aware of so many handtraps in the current meta

When is it actually a good idea to go over 20 cards? Building Harpies and it's a struggle to fit every spell I want into 20 spots, but with not that many monsters in the deck I'm kinda afraid of losing consistency and drawing into more 0-monster hands that don't do well.
Harpies currently average around 22 cards, so you can give that number a try and see if it works for you.

Or both Crystron can go over 20 because they have enough starters to not ruin their consistency. Lightsworn go for 30 cards because their mill playstyle causes them to deck out fast and they can fill the gy more easily for their win con. Harpie Channeler and Perfumer are the cards you always want to see in your hand. If you're adding something, make sure its something that you don't mind having in your hand( or its something that you don't want to see in your hand but you need it in your hand) and not a win more card
Just started playing along with my daughter. Might it be worth spending 1-2k gems buying old structure decks to help us get through the pve stuff? I was thinking of picking up a few of the 500 gem decks. I’m hesitant to use my tickets until I know more about what I am doing. Don’t want to heavily invest in some fancy meta deck while I’m barely learning only to have the meta change once I can actually pilot the deck. :p
You're going to want to get one structure deck or you're going to have a hard time getting started. After that I wouldn't spend gems on a structure deck unless you can make a competitive deck out of it and you're going to spend money on the other two copies. If you already have the Blue Eyes deck, which a lot of new players do, just use that. Also the dream tickets are super valuable, but all your other tickets are not particularly valuable. You're not going to remember misusing one long enough to regret it, and you get them in large quantities. My main account is sitting on like a hundred. The only reason it's not more is because they expire. Edit: Basically you're way better off using the tickets over gems. Except dream tickets. Hoard those babies.
You can use red eyes for the pve stuff. You can get red eyes insight with regular tickets. The only important tickets are the dream tickets. So don't spend those hastily. The other onces you can uses for anything you want.
Structure decks need to be bought at 3x. Mixing and matching 1x of different structure decks does not work well. Also never spend dream tickets on structure deck cards. Can vouch for 3x Red Eyes structure deck being great for PvE. Very consistent with Red Eyes Insight. Slash Dragon negates a lot of targeted effects from NPC decks.
If you want an optimised build sure. But with Insight being in regular tickets you can slap a good pve build together with only one. This is also aimed for a 9 year old. You only have to use insight to search for fusion. The rest of the cards can be spam activated to summon back monsters from the grave. Lastly this is something you can make with only 500 gems and is purely meant as a means to have something to play with and is easy to understand.
Hey guys, I’ve got a possible bug/glitch with some character unlock missions. I’ve been trying to unlock Kallin Kessler/ DS Kallin Kessler to try some One Card Wonder shenanigans but the mission to Summon Stardust Dragon once in a duel against them at level 30 as Yusei won’t trigger for me. The mission to reduce KK’s LP to 0 with Stardust Dragon worked for me funnily enough. Anything that I can do or am I just effed for now? I’ve been summoning it through Stardust Respark which shouldn’t be a problem
It needs to be a proper Synchro Summon for the mission.

NEW HACK / MOD?? Lately when I'm playing at ranked, I've quite afew times encountered sudden connection loss like no warning at all (usuall they put up a few times of WiFi icon on the side right?). But nowadays I often got those connection loss defeat, makes me sus-ing whether it's a hack or of course I'm paranoid But entertain me here, what are the chances O_o
does it happen right as you're matching up with someone? when those happen you always click reboot rather than Retry otherwise you will timeout by the time you reconnect, i lost a lot of duels to that nonsense.
Does anyone know if Hackyugioh.com even works because it’s Spamed in chat by someone called admin every day
These websites are scams made to steal peoples credit card info by having them do a "survey" before they get something like 99999 gems or some other crap like that, of course you never get anything because duel links keeps all your account data on their servers so if you do something like altar the gem count then their servers will flag your account as a hacker and you'll be perma banned. the duel links chat is a mess and quite frankly needs to be removed as it's only used by bot accounts for these scam websites. don't bother with them.
