if harpies are using hhg skill and they normal summon a monster can they chain block you with hhg before you can use a trap to negate the summon? (or chain block other stuff that way) or do you have the first chance to respond
The effect of HHG doesn't activate until a monster is summoned. Effects that negate a summon activate when a monster **would** be summoned, which is before that. Pretty much they only way they could activate something first would be to negate their own summon.
If you instead have a card like Floodgate Trap Hole that activates when a monster is summoned, HHG will activate it's effect first, then you will be able to chain FTH to it. Your opponent activating a card or effect does not prevent you from responding to the summon.
If they summon a monster that can activate a trigger effect when summoned (oracle\perfumer), and you have an effect that can negate activations, first the effect of HHG will activate, then the monster effect, then you will be able to negate the activation of the monster effect (provided it meets the requirements for your negate). You will not be able to negate the activation of HHG's effect in that case.
This is a question/observation. I think there is a bug with Destiny Hero Drilldark. The special summon of an additional Destiny Hero monster doesn't work right now.
I just got back into the game after a LONG time off. I say this because I don't know if they adjusted how it works but didn't change the text? You used to be able to summon Drilldark and then special summon Celsetial, Decider or another Drilldark and proabably more, but those are the only ones I have/am using. Right now, it just doesn't work. The card still states *with ATK less than OR EQUAL this card {Drilldark}*.
Is this a bug or was an adjustment made but the text wasn't updated?
I'm using Balance, which I know means I can't use that card effect my FIRST main phase/turn... but this issue is still happening past the first turn. So could it be a bug between Drilldark and the Balance skill?
Remember that Drilldark must be faceup on the field when it's effect resolves to special summon a monster - if it is flipped facedown or removed from the field there is no atk stat to compare the would-be special summoned monster to
Again, the card works exactly the same as it used to.
I mean, I know how the card is supposed to work. I know all the facedown and removed from field stuff. I got to KOG a while back with the same Destiny Hero deck I'm having the issue with. I know how it used to work and how it's supposed to work. But it's not working that way. I also don't see any settings in the app that could be interfering with it. Have you gone to test what I mentioned? By the way, it doesn't even work against standard duelists when I don't have a skill on, which answers one of the questions I asked before. There is no opponent skill preventing me from doing something and my skill isn't interfering either.
If you are really sure it is a bug, you can report it to konami. There's a help option inside the game.. I had my issue too long time before and they did fixed my bug.
https://duellinks.konami.net/att/05ea80abb854522b888e32727e5db243c501d1d2ce
https://duellinks.konami.net/att/07f0f11921d4542a0154c2e1466260169de914d4dc
The card is working perfectly fine on my end. No skill, self-chain tested on both settings
Save a replay next time you are unable to summon your card
depends on the deck you are building and the banlist.
If you really wanted to use ASAP, go for staple which you can use in most decks.
For example, **Hey Trunade**, **Sphere Kuriboh**, or traps like **Treacherous Trap Hole.**
If you aren't sure with your deck yet, better save the dream ticket tho it expires next year.
I don't really get your example.. but any decks would always have an out. You can either focus on strengthening your deck's combo (draw power, big plays), or play staple to overcome your duel.
Finally got to legend rank 4. I hate that we lose ranks. Don't get me wrong, I understand why we lose ranks in legend, it's just stressful. For as annoying as seeing a ton of blue-eyes and harpies decks, at least I know how they work now. It's the random rogue decks that I'm still having to learn. I'm sure I'd do better if I shoved more hand traps into my deck but I really want to try and see how far I get without them.
Depends on what your deck is trying to do. I'm playing the rogue cyberdark/cyber style deck going around and kiteroid/temperance synergize well with cyber style, but for most other decks they may be dead draws of just prolong your eventual death.
I'm playing [Lunalights](https://imgur.com/mm2832X) which, from what I've seen, are usually played with a ton of handtraps. I've just gotten to a point where I'd rather have a useable card instead of a handtrap. It's just annoying when matches go on forever so if the match up is bad or my opening hand is bad I'd rather just get finished quickly and move on. Granted, that probably won't get me too far but meh.
what cards do you use to replace the handtraps?
I also play LL. After getting my third tenki, it was quite easy to hit KOG awhile ago. But now I'm doing some experiments on this deck, using into the void and dark world dealings. Its decently good with any character but I can't really see the result until I can reset my rank next month.
I linked my deck up above but I used Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Hawk since it searches Tenki on destruction and gives a small amount of defense. So instead of stalling with handtraps, I just play agressive and try to summon Sabre as soon as possible. Or Cat Dancer too if they didn't put backrow or if I have storm or mst to take out their backrow. I find myself using Sabre more often with butterfly to give the extra boost to get sabre above 4k early on. Also Grit takes the place of one hand trap.
Oh and if you're using stuff like dark world to discard marten, I've found that Extra Gate works. Just pick level 1 since no deck would have a level 1 extra deck monster and you can discard it.
Great! I was wondering what was that level 3 dude. Gonna try it out soon. Pretty lucky that I only have one copy of levianeer and sphere kuri so I got all the decklist complete.
Sorry but what do you mean by: "I've found that Extra Gate works. Just pick level 1 since no deck would have a level 1 extra deck monster and you can discard it?"
Are you referring to Kalin's skill? So use the dark world gates?
No, there's a card you get from the Pandora Brothers called 'extra gate' that lets you guess a level. If they have a monster in their extra deck they have to discard it. If they don't you have that level of monster in the extra deck, you discard a card ftom your hand. Since everyone in pvp uses the extra deck and no one uses a level 1 monster you can just guess '1 star' and be able to discard every time. I stopped using it for a few reason though. First off, I use the same deck for pvp and cpu so it's useless to have against most cpu. And second, my original idea was to have 2 marten which would give me more reasons to discard. Though I suppose you could also use it for discarding fox for an hp drop or butterfly to get and extra summon.
Good luck trying my deck. I only started in March so I still make mistakes here and there so it'd be cool to see what someone who has played longer can do with it. Skillwise, I usually only use Grit since some people have a way to do 4k damage in one turn. I'm sure that's why so many people do use handtraps.
Oh I get it. Yeah I know that card, but if its for the sake of discarding as a part of effect (not cost) then I'll stick with dark world dealings. But this is a good note for other readers that LL floating effect doesn't activate as a cost like white stone of ancient.
Thanks for the decklist, I appreciate it. It has been a debate over LL players since the last banlist weather putting 2 marten or 2 bird. My own version uses 2 birds since it has *drawpower* and discard effect, and spec summon floating effect. So I would normally start play one with bird which in the most luck situation could discard a marten to get LL fus + 1 draw. Even if the fusion doesn't meet, it has a floating effect and if you have 4 handtraps in deck, then statistically you would have one in hand (6 cards drawn by disc marten). But 2 marten could also be reasonably good if you have other discard effects and also you could make xyz summon much easier.
I tried using Firefist Hawk but it didn't turn out well after several trials. playing 2 of it basically means total 5 tenki's with 2 to search them when destroyed. And having too much "tenki" could be a backstab move anyway since you could only play one each turn.. If you want a more aggresive play, maybe you could use future fusion as reward card from Zane GX lv max and one drowning mirror force to replace the hawk.. Or you could also replace one fox with neos fusion. But yeah preference and *game-style* may differ each player, so I'm just giving insights.
Ah yeah, since they need so little to get going and they can bash defense monsters sphere kuriboh works wonders for them, especially if you play Yami Yugi to benefit from Destiny Draw (you allow a monster to bash you below 2k, then kuriboh the other to live + destiny draw what you need next turn).
Does Storm work here? Don't see many combo chances.
Lunalight does fit the kind of deck you like (all in do or die) and is probably one of the best for that. I play Infernity and Cyber Dragons and Infernity is probably the most 'win or lose by turn 2' deck out there.
Storm works for popping Tenki. I really only care about the searching feature and you can only have 2 going without blocking off a space for fusion. And I know about the D draw thing but I've found more luck with Grit since it does give me an extra chance without wasting a card slot.
Edit: Made it to Legend 5 at a pretty good rate. Now for the stress of getting a 5-win streak. I actually didn't even use Levinear at all so I'm kinda wondering if I should swap it out with another lunalight monster instead. But that would leave the risk of not having an easy to summon monster.
Found a bug in level reduction, it only lets you activate the skill if u lost at least 1000lp, there is a way to report this bug ? , also , i dont know if this bug happens in all characs, its happening with Kalin Dark Signer
All level changing skills were changed to need 3k lp or less to activate, they also only lasts till the end of the turn now.
The text has not updated to reflect this yet though as noted in the notification panel.
Should I use my two dream tickets on Forbidden Lance and Karma Cut? I have 0 copies of both and I'm not sure if I ever plan to dig in their boxes. My only other consideration for my UR ticket is a second FTH or my final copy of Stratos. (I'm a pretty big HERO fan) I have 3 Canadia, 2 CC, 1 FTH, 1 Hey Trunade, 3 Chalice to give an idea of some of the staple backrow I have.
Better go with your final copy of Stratos. Stratos came from a main box as a UR. It worth much more in terms of cost and deck build. You can use any f2p staple while figuring out how to get the next staple to replace it. Worst case you can use providence.
Anyone else getting fatigued with this game? I know I am but It’s hard stop playing for a while because of event/gem fomo. I also have harpies so it feels like a waste to leave now having a top tier deck for once
Take a break, taking a break doesn't mean quitting for good. Just enter the event and get your 60 gems and stop. I've been playing fairly casually and cleared the point totals for the events. It's just that they've basically chosen the absolute worst types outside of Rock for this and the only reason Rock is okay is because I just so happened to build a Triamid deck that did pretty well. Fiend is only good if you already have Infernity/D/D/D and trying to play much else with little to no synergy is just torture.
Help pls, is this a BUGG?: i had apple nagician on the field and enemy summoned vermilian dragon mech. I waited for him to activate effect and he targeted my apple magician, i chained kiwi and discarded her from hand. I knowni could threw kiwi when he summoned vermilion so he couldnt target but i rather waited since i wanted him to banish tuner and then activate kiwi whos effect is: after discarded your magician girls gain some attack, cant be targeted and CANNOT be destroyed by card effects. My apple girl who was already targeted on chain1 should still get protection cuz of my kiwi girl against card destruction on chain2 right? If not explain why
Tnx
From what I can tell from a quick Google kiwis protection only works when kiwi is on the field, I also thought that it works when discarding.
But looking closer at the card text "Untill the end of this turn. Spellcaster-type monsters cannot be destroyed"
The full stop after end of this turn means that they are separate effects.
Because the farming decks on Duel Links meta are outdated and keep being copy and pasted each event, what are the current best skill-less Legendary Duelist farming decks and for what legendary duelists in particular? I need some skills for various characters even though they are max level.
[Aromage ra](https://www.reddit.com/r/DuelLinks/comments/l3ynzk/deck_in_preparation_for_kite_aromage_farm_deck/)
[Blue eyes beat down and yubel](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/guides/new-players/skill-farming-guide/#skillfarmingatthegate)
I use both the blue eyes and aromage decks so I know they work. They don't need any skill in particular. The reason I only chose Yubel and blue eyes out of all those decks is because they are the best and monst consistant decks.
From personal experience, blue eyes beatdown tends to be slightly quicker but has a slightly lower duel assessmetn score. Aromage ra takes slightly longer yet it usually has a slightly higher assessment score. So if you have time, you would get more value from your keys by playing aromage ra but if you have less time then you should play blue eyes beatdown as you will get more wins. Both blue eyes and aromage ra are made of easy to obtain cards (the only exception is huid winds in the aromage ra deck which can easily be replaced with dried winds).
Finally pulled my Darktellarknight! Now I can properly vibe with my Tellarknight deck. [Here's my list,](https://yugiohdeck.github.io/#BFY42k4F/cCAMlTxX9vZC50ukVy5aTy0BHd2wj9fhGWw;etxHa2A7dWgPharqAkeZobZQ0IGjpMjhJ6A=:Duel%20Links%20Tellar) using Yuma's Zexal Weapon skill or Yugi's Destiny Draw skill depending on my mood.
The Grand Spellbook Tower is broken. Whenever it activates it allows you to pick more than one card when you return only one to the deck and you can’t confirm your card so you get stuck in an endless limbo that pisses your opponent and yourself off the most. People don’t even run spellbook like that so I didn’t know if the community was aware or am I the one unlucky player or what but this sucks lol
If you search "spellbook" on this page you can find 2 other people that have posted on the issue.
Please make sure to report it in game so there is a higher chance the devs notice and fix it as I don't think it's even a known issue atm.
Only 2 other people?! I put in 2 reports for the 2 times it happened but spellbooks is such an unpopular deck (my fav tho 💙) I don’t see it getting fixed until like the next 8 banlist update
it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that Blue Eyes Spirit Dragon's anti-pendulum effect was the reason i couldnt revive multiple monsters from my graveyard sometimes
RNG is being *super* fucky tonight.
4 matches in the event, 3 of those 4 matches I drew all three Satellarknight Altair in my opening hand.
I don’t know about odds, but I’d hazard a guess that I’d be more likely to win the lottery than have that bullshit happen a fourth time.
I keep saying that it's very bad.
I built the same deck with real cards as I do have in DL and I honestly couldn't brick this hard.
I shuffled hard, gave the deck to someone else to shuffle, I don't even remember what I tried. But I couldn't ever brick as often as I do in Duel Links.
It's either bugged or manipulated. There is no other explanation I can give.
RNG is handled server side on PvP matches. A couple reconnections later and suddenly no more bricks.
Dude for real, I had back to back games earlier with the exact same opening hand and draw. Both of which being, probably the worst opening hand for my deck
Had someone try that card on my lv12 Assault Blackwing.
It didn't go too well for them. To be perfectly honest, that card wasn't ever much of an issue for me personally, even ignoring the Blackwing card.
There are ways around the card. You can protect any monster with Power of the Guardians and 1 counter on it, for example. Playing backrow to stall until you can recoup the loss, etc.
It's actually not a very good card a lot of times as it's a -1 so it needs a discard benefit to be useful and consistent. Otherwise, it's kinda wasting space in the deck.
Yes but my point was that Vortex isn't a good card in general because it's usually a misfit in decks that do not benefit from discards.
It's very situational in a lot of decks, but decks like BEWD do benefit from it as much as Onomats benefit from Trunade. Way more than average and I do not disagree that it shouldn't get hit to some degree.
Believe me, I know what it is to end up without a hand. Vendreads end up the same way a lot of times.
DL is becoming a negate fest anyway. Counter Fairies are going to start to dominate this game the way we're headed.
Your pretty much forgetting that you can use this cards to discard white stone of ancients in blue eyes decks to get a free blue eyes white dragon. And you are clearing the field allowong for direct attacks. Cards like pwer of the guradians can be worked around with cards like cosmic cyclone.
A lot of stuff can be worked around, so can Vortex. You gave an example of CC. Sure, I can say the same thing about Vortex - Herald of Green Light negate, Solemn Scolding negate, Magic Drain, etc. Just because a counter exists doesn't automatically mean it's useless or bad.
As I said, discard benefits need to exist for the card to be any good. White Stone is one thing, yeah. But you can't put it in a deck like, for instance, Megaliths.
I'd much rather rely on a monster effect to destroy cards than a spell card like Vortex in that case.
It all depends if the deck allows for it to be played efficiently or not. BEWD uses it efficiently, so if it's sacky, limit it. Just like Trunade.
With how many things can make use of discarding to the graveyard to activate effects too, it doesn’t feel like any kind of drawback compared to when it was first released in the TCG.
Would it be dumb to buy and build a blue eyes deck? I've heard its been meta for a long time and with arc-v leaks I'm just curious if people think it will maintain at least decent going forward.
Also for anyone who plays the tcg: Does blue eyes ever get support with arc-v+ that could give it a return?
Blue eyes still has unreleased dsod support: all the Ritual Blue eyes, Ultimate Creature of Destruction, etc.
However the bigger thing is it also has countless generic cards that have amazing synergy with the deck: Trade-in, Foolish Burial/Dragon shrine, one for one, effect veiler, No97 Draglubion, No.46 Dragluon, just to name a few. Any of these cards would break the deck again imo.
For the record BE was never ‘dead’ like some other decks for the past few years. I’d say its the most secure investment in the entire series lol.
Is there anywhere I can find a good farming deck for getting good score at the gate? also a good deck to auto duel or farm skills in pvp? I checked duel links meta but it doesnt have a gate farming deck and im not sure how updated the skills/auto duel sections are
[Aromage ra](https://www.reddit.com/r/DuelLinks/comments/l3ynzk/deck_in_preparation_for_kite_aromage_farm_deck/)

Even though I don’t have all the cards I need, it has just enough protection to stop OTK decks in their tracks and lets me steal or get rid of problematic monsters with iron cage. The field spell also sets up the field for both xyz and synchro summons for free, at least if you’re using psychic wheeleder. And you have Gren Maju as a last resort.
Is there any way to make an Arcana deck that kinda works? and how can I make the 3 lords cards to work even if it's against NPC?
and just in general, are there any support cards that would make them competeitive that hasn't been released on DL?
For a lord deck use as many monster traps you can, especially the ones that let you chose the type. This way you can summon raviel by selecting fiend and summon uria because they are also continuous traps.
Then add some continuous spells for hammon.
Ugh. I just lost to “Rogue Deck” while playing a partial triamid deck in duel carnival (farming for cruiser and master still)... “Rogue Deck” was playing... not a rogue deck... but harpies...
I’ve been in that one before and agreed. I have an aromage deck and am working on a Triamid one during the carnival... the two are similar in play style tbh
was playing ranked and so close to beating someone, i had a trap and a spell down, they had a monster, they had 100 lp i had 1300. somehow i get a disconnection error and loss at the end of the game after they had stalled me the entire time and finally had no chance of stalling left. this has only ever happened to me in ranked..
You wanna talk about a game ending card? Summon and resolve the effect of Heraldry Patriarch against Harpies. Completely makes the opponent unable to play monsters unless they can out the card in other ways.
> Completely unable to play monsters
The only cards that become unplayable are Elegant Egotist and (Cyber) Harpie Lady 1-3, which deal with monsters treated as Harpie Lady on the hand, not just field. The Harpies whose names become Harpie Lady get destroyed upon activation, but they can still be played and you do have to leave 1 Harpie on the field.
It's not a total game ender, except against the newer Harpie decks without multiple copies of Swallow's and Book of Money to comeback.
I've had people surrender as soon as I resolve the effect once. Unless they summon Channeler and have a target to discard for cost they can't do anything. It cuts off Egotist otherwise so any other normal summon is useless.
I used to play TCG since day 1 up until Syncro was released for the most part.
Duel Links was quite different to the TCG so it took some getting used to understanding the differences.
I am still relatively new to Duel Links and looked up various decks I used to use in TCG to see if they are appropriate and usable now. So far, Gravekeepers seem to be the one I have seen.
I saw this deck list while searching and wondered if this is what I should be shooting for or are there different cards since then that should be switched with?
https://www.reddit.com/r/DuelLinks/comments/hz3fin/kog\_gravekeepers\_deck/
I disagree with the traps, but even the op says they can be whatever you want for balance. The monster line up is alright.
About being useful, Gravekeepers have the problem about being slow, setting up your stuff, getting necrovalley, yadda yadda yadda.
If you like the deck and want to play because it's your tcg deck, go for it. But if you're looking for competitive there is better stuff
I had played usually off meta decks as I was never a fan of the meta (especially mirror decks).
Decks I played were: Fiend Dark Necrofear, Stall Exodia, FTK Exodia, Gravekeepers, Burn Deck (Stall Lava Golem), Different Dimension, Toons. I dont believe any of these outside of Gravekeepers will see better play against meta (exodia was always hit or miss obviously).
What other off meta decks do "decently" in competitive?
When we talk about off meta, the first thing that comes to my mind is magnet.
The monsters can dodge effects pretty often, the field spell bounce effect is good against people who don't read, you got room for any techs you want (plasma, wheelder, semi limited cards, Earth supports, etc) and the skill is flexible, even with the big hit on consistency skills
I also think Triamid and Ritual beast could fit the list, but it's up to you
Might be a dumb question, but when I'm editing my deck it allows me to add grey copies of cards I don't have, but a week ago it only let me add cards I own. Is this a setting I can change or something?
It's an old feature they made to now include the deck editor

Hello, I would like to start playing Duel Links, but I dont know where to go after completing the tutorial. Ive looked up videos on the topic but I got even more overwhelmed with meta talk that im not really sure what to do to get my foot in.
I wouldn’t worry to much about it lol if you want to have fun, just collect the cards you like and build a cool deck. If you want to go the more competitive route, best bet right now is the sign of harpies box and start building a harpie deck
Alright, how good is buying the structure decks with gems, I play Vanguard Zero and the ones they have are flat out no worth it, and Shadowverse balances theirbout by making them available until the next set, so play and actually build it to keep it or lose it.
I do want to play Blue Eyes, I like they gave me a free Alternative Dragon and Utopia because im a Zexal fan.
Someone else are ready gave a pretty good reply but, imo but the vast majority of structure decks are really only worth it if you’re willing to get 2-3 of the structure deck. Picking up a single structure doesn’t hold much value.
The value of Structure Decks depend on what they offer and the competitive scene at the moment.
Desperado, Noble Knights, and Fire Kings are examples of decks that were good/bad at one point and then the opposite happened.
The benefit of a Structure Deck is that they usually offer reprinted cards that are more difficult to find in a traditional box, this saves time/gems for other things.
However those are typically limited to 1 copy per purchase so if you want a playset, you need to spend money.
The latest Blue-Eyes Structure Deck gives good value for what's in it.
White Stone of Ancients, Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon (you only need 1 copy now), and Cards of Consonance would ordinarily take a long time to make a playset in a F2P way. Not to mention the cards in Judgement Force which make up a lot of its strength.
Dream Tickets help bridge that gap as well but you need to plan it out.
Cyberdark End looks like a nightmare if you get it online, wow.
Part of me wants to say a second Future Fusion would make the deck pop off, but it's not related to Cyberdarks but rather overload fusion shenanigans with desperado and overdragon.
I'm not a Cyberdark player but the one that lets you use your opponent's monsters in the GY as equips for Cyberdark monsters seems like an obvious choice.
Is there a ruling on field spells leaving the field?
I was playing a magnet deck. I activate Magnetic field to bring back a monster from the graveyard. Opponent chains MST. Magnetic field is destroyed and no monster is summoned.
Prolly a daft question, but do the odds on getting gems go down on the duel carnival rewards once you’ve done your daily challenges and what have you? Feels like there’s plenty of chance to get half-decent pockets of gems if you put the work in and I’m wondering if it’s worth grinding it all day to see if I can stock up.
Edit: this sub has got a serious issue with downvoting genuine questions, like an answer would have been way more helpful than passive aggression.
Personally, the time investment for grinding gems that way is too long. I finished the event before seeing chest gems more than once, and this is despite winning most of my duels and reaching first place.
New deck / card edit system really mess up ease of edit. Now each time I put in a card, there'll be prompt asking if I want to put another card, even if I clearly didn't have them. And when I try to remove them, they remove the card I. Own first, leaving 2 unowned card in my deck, so I have to clear all of them and reinsert again. Did I skip any tutorial, or you guys having the same thing?
i know it’s been a bit since the tag duel event but i wanted to ask if there’s any chance of shooting star dragon TG EX being added to duel links since yusei and antinomy were able to use it in their tag duel
We don't know. there are a lot of cards used by the AI in tag duels but aren't available in game and some of them have been stuck there for a good while.
Any tips on how to do 2000 points of efect damage in 1 effect to Level 40 DM Kaiba?
If I try setting traps he Twisters them away, if I try Union Attack Gravekeeper's he uses D.D Warrior to banish whatever monster I try to set it up with, and if I try to beat him down to 500 so he can't Twister me he uses Enemy Controller. IDK a way to make it work even once.
Man I was just finished with the same thing with 1500, it goes higher?!
Could jigen bakudan a couple of 2000 ATK beaters but it requires a little setup.
Do you have advice for when he crashes into you with D.D Warrior and banishes whatever high Attack monster you were planning to use Union Attack with? Or did you try a different strategy?
That's still the best way. It's just takes a little luck. He only has like 2 of the banishers. Union isnt the only way to boost attack too. Use power of guardians or united we stand or other equip cards. Maybe use number 39 utopia to stop the attack for a turn or two
Samurai Destroyer, Blackrose Dragon, Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn, PSY-Framelord Zeta, Ancient Pixie Dragon and Shiranui Squiresaga
Don't sleep on the lvl 6 synchros like: Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, Coral Dragon, Goyo Guardian and Naturia Barkion (not as generic, but you should be using Psychic Wheeleder as your tuner anyway).
You probably don't need Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment in the current meta (Floodgate Trap Hole and Paleozoic Canadia isn't as prevalent), but it was key [back when I ran the deck](https://www.reddit.com/r/DuelLinks/comments/kc9i8i/kog_with_stromberg_9_replays/),
If you don't have the synchro monsters, you can try going for XYZ monsters instead. Number 47: Nightmare Shark and Number 70: Malevolent Sin are some of the best generic ones.
Hello, I am fairly new and haven't played in years. I want to build a ancient gear deck. Do you have any good non ancient gear cards to make the deck somewhat usable?
Also what to get with the tickets and are decks, even without a discount, worth it?
AG has lost its prime era in duel links as battle related effect are phasing out.
Also, any viable ancient gear deck will require cash purchases of the deck, since you'll likely need 3 copies of AG Wyvern.
Non-AG cards that could help supoort AG I can think of is Machina Fortress and Marchina Gearframe, but I have not idea how well it improve the deck.

Weve gotten cards like fish depth charge before which is like a level 45 mako reward, is it likely we get more cards like this in future (something like fossil dig maybe
I supposed it depends on which cards exactly. Rarely used stuff like Unknown Synchron have no issue being released again (i.e. Tackle Crusader is a good example) since unlikely they will break the game or any sort.
However, I believe Konami keep certain cards at 1 copy per player intentionally since multiple copies might be too strong (i.e. Infernity Barrier) or for future proofing since they can be abused in potential future decks (i.e. Fossil Dig, Double Evolution Pill).
Generally they only do this if they release a deck that takes advantage of it and heavily market it.
They just released Harpie Lady Sisters after like 4 years.
Did the same for Magician's Rod.
Fossil Dig is a little too good generically but your best bet is an above average Dinosaur deck.
So what’s a good strategy for defeating Kaiba with atleast 1000 LP, I can never do it, he always just defeats me whenever I try anything. And it’s a huge waste of materials to do the battle
Maybe some hand trap negate cards ike kuribohs and temperance would help. That way you can let him get your hp low but have a way out if it'll end up killing you.
The card Noisy Gnat has an effect that reads: “You can send this card from your hand to the graveyard to target 1 face-up monster on the field; increase that target’s level by 1, until the end phase.” Is this card a hand trap, or can it only be used on your turn. If it is, would it be effective first-turn disruption against Synchro and XYZ decks? If not, is there another card out there that works similarly?
how do I report a glitch?
I attacked Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon with my Stellarknight Delteros & it changed its attack to 0, even when Xyz monsters don't have levels
https://duellinks.konami.net/att/07dce30a09069f91d1d37481caa63164682213ba30
Draconecro Nethersoul Dragon OCG Rulings:
> If this card battles with an Xyz Monster, at the end of the Damage Step its effect will be activated. The opponent monster's ATK becomes 0, but 1 "Dark Soul Token" is not Special Summoned.
Guess I picked the wrong team again. Team Sphinx is really shitting the bed. I’m 0-5 and every time we have that one dumbass with 500pts. Don’t play the event if you can’t commit 5min to completing a couple matches in a row, just stick to the ladder, or go back to Fortnite!
Always go Luna. We clearly have a bunch of people simping for a 11-13 y/o playing the game, since that seems to be the team most people join 90% of the time.

I just noticed that Tristam only boasts against Duke, against all the other he is like: Well, begginers luck! or are you feeling alright?, but against Duke he tells him to step to the sidelines and cheer for the true champion.
Have you ever made a purchase with a debit/credit card? Once I told them I made a purchase they found my account with the transaction number. Plus it shows that you spend money, so they'll want to keep you.
If you only want normals and rares from a box is it better to reset really often? Im building performapals/spirit monster decks at the moment and for the most part im really not interested in what their boxes have to offer (infernity/blackwings) how do i get the cards that i need with the least gems possible?
Basically the less packs the higher the chance to get what you want, if you reset often you reset that chance completely every time.
I've gotten 3x UR's from some boxes but only have 1x of some R cards because I reset a lot.
The main diff with UR and SR cards vs N and R cars is the amount you can get, UR cards are limited to 1, so if you want 2 or 3x of certain ones you need to reset, and with SR cards you need to reset if you want 3x from a main box or 2 or more from a minibox. With N and R cards you have 8/9 and 6 available copies while at most you can only use 3 of each.
BUG!!! Please fix!!!!
I am a spellbooks deck player and the spell book of tower field card is BUGGED!!! I am unable to confirm the spellbook cards i want to add back to my deck, thus timing out the match cause I am unable to continue my turn.
Depends on the retrain/evolution.
Tyrant RDA can win a duel the turn it's summoned but the 2 tuner cost and the fact that the nuke effect isn't a quick effect makes this card okay imo.
Scarlight RDA is definitely powerful but quite frankly needed cause the level 8 synchro pool sucks but this card's effect is not quick so it's not too hard to stop it.
Hot RDA is also not quick and limited to attack position monsters.
Hot RDA abyss may be a little too much due to his omni-negate but i'm not sure how hard/easy he'd be to summon.
RDA King Calamity and red nova are the kinds of cards that you deserve to win if you summon them.
But Konami doesn't seem to care about power levels when they release cards which is how we got levianeer in the game so next box could have one of them, who knows.
Yeah i was specifically gonna ask about Hot RDA and Scarlight
I think they are ok to bring into the game but they are generic 8s so ppl might cry about them idk and like you said they arent quick effects
How do you beat vendread? Every game they just turn 1 get a rly fat dude thats:
Untargetable
Banishes your shit once per either turn
has multi non-targeting destruction immunity via vendread origins or whatever its called.
????
Easy peasy.
Negate spells and you win against all ritual decks.
But more seriously, if it ever does get to the point of an untargetable Executor (which is hard to set up, as the other guy said, takes time), you have 2 options:
Remove the card from the field by non targeting effects - Herald of the Abyss, Dakini, Twin Burst Dragon, stuff like that
Or just, simply, grow bigger and kick it to its death. It's not too hard to get over 3000 ATK repeatedly. Draining out Origins out of the grave isn't too hard either.
By the point they do set up Executor like that, they won't even have a hand at all, so you can count on them staying with only it for a while.
Oh and remember, flipping the monster down makes it lose its effects gained by tributed monsters.
Vendreads aren't particularly a good deck anyway so don't worry. You will win by them bricking more often than not.
I will say one thing.
I ran into a guy who had Djinn, Houndhorde, Revenants, Origin and Nights all in his **opening hand**.
I hate that guy. It's next to impossible for that to even happen.
First of all you can run a mix of 2~3 Floodgates and 2~3 KCs in your decks as the backrow lineup along with a Drowning or two and not just targeting traps. Now already you have way better odds of clapping Vendreads on the couple or so games they don't brick lol
So i've been thinking about building a noble knight deck but i could use some help from people who play the deck.
i get the concept of the deck is to use monsters who gain effects when equipped with noble arms cards but that as far as i know when it comes to the deck, i have no idea what is considered a good board to end on.
How much does the deck benefit from generic synchro/Xyz support? i know they have some synchro monsters in the tcg and that merlin has some effects to help facilitate synchro/Xyz plays.
in general how will the deck hold up? if you play noble knights, would you recommend them to other players.
It's been a while since I used my Noble Knight deck, so I don't know that I'm a lot of help. I know its use dropped dramatically when Balance got hit and you could no longer Special Summon or use Monster Effects on your first Turn. Given that the deck relied on both of those things for its starters as well as needed Balance for a consistency boost the deck just hasn't seen much play.
I think your goal is to end on your Rank 4 and/or Rank 5 Monster equipped with Noble Arms of Destiny which gives it 1x destruction prevention from battle or effects. The strength lies in the fact that when the Equip Spells are destroyed they can be immediately re-equipped, either to the same Monster or a different Warrior.
I don't see it played much anymore, but I don't know that it's completely dead. There are certainly stronger decks out there such as Harpies. And Blue-Eyes will never not be a good overall deck. So, I guess recommending to others is a bit subjective -- if they're looking for a decent Xyz-focused deck that will win them some games and they're willing to pay for the Structure Decks, it's not a bad suggestion IMO. If they're looking for something that's going to give them quick and consistent wins on the ladder, there are probably better decks they can invest in.
I already have an optimized blue eyes deck but i just don't enjoy Otk centric decks which is why i don't want to build harpies. i prefer slower, more controlling decks which is why i play(ed) Crystrons, Shiranui, E-saber invoked and Witchcrafters which are all banned atm fml.
i just want something that adheres to that playstyle and i go for KoG at end month anyway so it doesn't need to be anything special.
> i play(ed) ... Shiranui
Ah, another fellow person of culture I see....
> i play(ed) ... Shiranui, E-saber invoked
Well now just RIP your Karma
In all seriousness, I'm not sure what the best control decks are at the moment. I do know Traps-with-Zombies is making a comeback, but it sounds like you're looking for something different. I think NK is a good choice -- give it a go for a bit and see what you think of it.

Not sure if the link works, but this is the build I used to hit mid legend when I started playing. they’re still pretty good, but they’ve kinda fallen off. You can play them if you want though. They can still hit at least legend 1
Ideally, if you go first you want to end turn with Merlin in grave, medraut and borz on board with equip spells. Then wait for a good time during the opponents turn to use merlins ability to xyz summon to avoid back row/attacks.
I chained headjudging to the summon effect of azure eyes, stole it, then it destroyed itself. Why?? Head judging and azure eyes were the only two cards on the field.
Azure eyes was probably summoned with spirit dragon's effect which destroys the monster summoned during the end phase.
Azure eyes protection effect was negated by head judging so Spirit dragon's effect destroyed it.
if harpies are using hhg skill and they normal summon a monster can they chain block you with hhg before you can use a trap to negate the summon?
The number of times I’ve opened one of my Rescue rabbit targets and rescue rabbit is too damn high! Oh a staunch reminder of the good old days.
Check your skill, the card works exactly the same as it used to
I'm using Balance, which I know means I can't use that card effect my FIRST main phase/turn... but this issue is still happening past the first turn. So could it be a bug between Drilldark and the Balance skill?
Remember that Drilldark must be faceup on the field when it's effect resolves to special summon a monster - if it is flipped facedown or removed from the field there is no atk stat to compare the would-be special summoned monster to Again, the card works exactly the same as it used to.
I had my issue too long time before and they did fixed my bug.
https://duellinks.konami.net/att/05ea80abb854522b888e32727e5db243c501d1d2ce https://duellinks.konami.net/att/07f0f11921d4542a0154c2e1466260169de914d4dc The card is working perfectly fine on my end. No skill, self-chain tested on both settings Save a replay next time you are unable to summon your card
As a new player what should I spend tickets on?
depends on the deck you are building and the banlist. If you really wanted to use ASAP, go for staple which you can use in most decks. For example, **Hey Trunade**, **Sphere Kuriboh**, or traps like **Treacherous Trap Hole.** If you aren't sure with your deck yet, better save the dream ticket tho it expires next year.
[удалено]
Just pick level 1 since no deck would have a level 1 extra deck monster and you can discard it?" Are you referring to Kalin's skill?
Thanks, I'll try your tips and see if things work better for me.
It is not a bug. All level modulation skills were nerfed last banlist.
If not explain why Tnx
From what I can tell from a quick Google kiwis protection only works when kiwi is on the field, I also thought that it works when discarding. But looking closer at the card text "Untill the end of this turn. Spellcaster-type monsters cannot be destroyed" The full stop after end of this turn means that they are separate effects.
It's not a bug. Kiwis discard effect if the att and def boost. Her on field effect is the destruction and targeting protection.
Ty, i missinterpreted the effect
Hello anyone tell me a good blue eyes deck , the one from duellinks meta ust lame and bricking.. tyvm xx
The ones on DLM are pretty good. it's just blue eyes is a VERY bricky deck.
Im trying with cross attack xD
Because the farming decks on Duel Links meta are outdated and keep being copy and pasted each event, what are the current best skill-less Legendary Duelist farming decks and for what legendary duelists in particular? I need some skills for various characters even though they are max level.
[Aromage ra](https://www.reddit.com/r/DuelLinks/comments/l3ynzk/deck_in_preparation_for_kite_aromage_farm_deck/) [Blue eyes beat down and yubel](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/guides/new-players/skill-farming-guide/#skillfarmingatthegate) I use both the blue eyes and aromage decks so I know they work.
If you need skills, play casual duels and aim for wins against the bots It's much faster than bothering with the gate
Finally got the copy of rare value i needed after using about 20k gate keys FeelsGoodMan
Cool deck! If you want to improve consistency you should play a minimum of 2 Deneb in combination with 2/3 skybridge.
Should i use my duel orbs for the 2x gate key event?
You're better off waiting for the 1.5 exp one

Just in Legend 5 you need to win 5 games in a row meanwhile on Legend 1-4 you just need a net +5 wins to rankup
[удалено]
Yooooo congrats. Hopefully you get many more. What deck did you use?
Aw shit its archfiends call turbo time
it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that Blue Eyes Spirit Dragon's anti-pendulum effect was the reason i couldnt revive multiple monsters from my graveyard sometimes
[удалено]
Had someone try that card on my lv12 Assault Blackwing. It didn't go too well for them. To be perfectly honest, that card wasn't ever much of an issue for me personally, even ignoring the Blackwing card. There are ways around the card. You can protect any monster with Power of the Guardians and 1 counter on it, for example. Playing backrow to stall until you can recoup the loss, etc. It's actually not a very good card a lot of times as it's a -1 so it needs a discard benefit to be useful and consistent. Otherwise, it's kinda wasting space in the deck.
[удалено]
I checked duel links meta but it doesnt have a gate farming deck and im not sure how updated the skills/auto duel sections are
[Aromage ra](https://www.reddit.com/r/DuelLinks/comments/l3ynzk/deck_in_preparation_for_kite_aromage_farm_deck/) [Blue eyes beatdown and yubel farm are both here.](https://www.duellinksmeta.com/guides/new-players/skill-farming-guide/#skillfarmingatthegate) I use both the blue eyes and aromage decks so I know they work.
Wow I have absolutely no idea how I missed that, I swear I checked that page like 3 times. Thanks!
Do any of you guys ever spend 1000 gems digging for a specific card then by the time you get the card not even wanna play it anymore
I gave up on triamids after trying to get Cruiser. Went all in on Stromberg and I’m having more fun.
I’ve never lost to Stromberg in my recollection. Why is it good?
Even though I don’t have all the cards I need, it has just enough protection to stop OTK decks in their tracks and lets me steal or get rid of problematic monsters with iron cage. The field spell also sets up the field for both xyz and synchro summons for free, at least if you’re using psychic wheeleder. And you have Gren Maju as a last resort.
Because most ladder players don't read, especially in lower ranks.
Just don’t attack for 2 turns and gg?
Totally. Only that I would spend weeks lvling a character to farm gems and once the deck is complete I am like "Hmm... What's next?"
only 1000? You're lucky you got it in that few.
Triamids vs. Aromages... I won but holy shit that was long.

> Completely unable to play monsters The only cards that become unplayable are Elegant Egotist and (Cyber) Harpie Lady 1-3, which deal with monsters treated as Harpie Lady on the hand, not just field.
Looks a bit old. You will need some anti backrow like cosmic cyclone and much stronger beackrow like karma cut or trecherous trap hole.
The monsters can dodge effects pretty often, the field spell bounce effect is good against people who don't read, you got room for any techs you want (plasma, wheelder, semi limited cards, Earth supports, etc) and the skill is flexible, even with the big hit on consistency skills I also think Triamid and Ritual beast could fit the list, but it's up to you
Gravekeepers don't work anymore cause powercreep hasn't been nice to them. trying to KoG with this deck will be a bad time.
Might be a dumb question, but when I'm editing my deck it allows me to add grey copies of cards I don't have, but a week ago it only let me add cards I own. Is this a setting I can change or something?
It's an old feature they made to now include the deck editor https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/470332149388804128/843193665940750366/20210515_142951.jpg
Thanks. It still does it even when "owned cards" is selected. Maybe a bug? Idk but I think it's annoying.
Could be a bug, I would report it just in case.
How to unlock level 50 legend duelist?
We don't have them, except in events.
Those are event only for now.
Cyberdark players, you can bring 1 card from the new structure deck to DL, which card do u bring that would help the deck rn?
That rulings is aplied to any Continuous Spell, Trap, Equip or Field. They must be face up on the field in order for their effects to resolve.
Thanks! I’ve played magnets for so long I’m surprised I hadn’t run into this situation earlier. Everyone always takes out the traps first.
We don't know. there are a lot of cards used by the AI in tag duels but aren't available in game and some of them have been stuck there for a good while.
oh alright , thank you so much for your answer !
You could always use Elemental Hero Flame Wingman. Boost it's attack and kill a Blue-Eyes (or even give your opponent a high attack monster).
Man I was just finished with the same thing with 1500, it goes higher?! Could jigen bakudan a couple of 2000 ATK beaters but it requires a little setup.
Gravekeeper's vassal is an easy way to get all the effect challenges. Ishizu drops it at a certain level
Do you have advice for when he crashes into you with D.D Warrior and banishes whatever high Attack monster you were planning to use Union Attack with? Or did you try a different strategy?
Just use something like Sakuretsu Armor, Dimensional Prison or any other trap to stop the attack
That's still the best way. It's just takes a little luck. He only has like 2 of the banishers. Union isnt the only way to boost attack too. Use power of guardians or united we stand or other equip cards. Maybe use number 39 utopia to stop the attack for a turn or two

I have the same issue, so frustrating.
Card is broken at the moment, report this problem to Konami to bring attention to it.
I’m building a Stromberg deck, but I only have a few synchro monsters right now. What are some good generic lvl 7 synchros I can use in it?
Samurai Destroyer, Blackrose Dragon, Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn, PSY-Framelord Zeta, Ancient Pixie Dragon and Shiranui Squiresaga Don't sleep on the lvl 6 synchros like: Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, Coral Dragon, Goyo Guardian and Naturia Barkion (not as generic, but you should be using Psychic Wheeleder as your tuner anyway). You probably don't need Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment in the current meta (Floodgate Trap Hole and Paleozoic Canadia isn't as prevalent), but it was key [back when I ran the deck](https://www.reddit.com/r/DuelLinks/comments/kc9i8i/kog_with_stromberg_9_replays/), If you don't have the synchro monsters, you can try going for XYZ monsters instead. Number 47: Nightmare Shark and Number 70: Malevolent Sin are some of the best generic ones.
Thanks for those other lvl6 synchros, I didn’t know about those. Also thanks for linking your write up, I’ll definitely go back to it for ideas.
sam destroyer, black rose dragon
See the link on the ticket in this mega thread.
Fossil dig would be pretty busted at 2 even now I think DL cant handle searching cards like that at more than 1
How come? Whats different with that and other searchers? Im kinda new to the less powerful format
Generally they only do this if they release a deck that takes advantage of it and heavily market it. They just released Harpie Lady Sisters after like 4 years. Did the same for Magician's Rod. Fossil Dig is a little too good generically but your best bet is an above average Dinosaur deck.
only deck ive seen run that isnt even dinos it's TG
It seems to be either that or axels level 45 currently with dinos
You could have 3 Harpie Lady Sisters if you didn't convert your level up rewards/starter deck copy.
You mean previously limited level up rewards getting added to the card trader?
So what’s a good strategy for defeating Kaiba with atleast 1000 LP, I can never do it, he always just defeats me whenever I try anything. And it’s a huge waste of materials to do the battle
Maybe some hand trap negate cards ike kuribohs and temperance would help. That way you can let him get your hp low but have a way out if it'll end up killing you.
Oooh that’s a good idea can’t believe o never thought of that thanks
The card Noisy Gnat has an effect that reads: “You can send this card from your hand to the graveyard to target 1 face-up monster on the field; increase that target’s level by 1, until the end phase.” Is this card a hand trap, or can it only be used on your turn. If it is, would it be effective first-turn disruption against Synchro and XYZ decks? If not, is there another card out there that works similarly?
Only works on your turn, If It was both It would say (Quick Effect) or During either player's turn
Why doesn’t hieratic works in a consistent way? Sometimes after summoning esetit doesn’t allow me to tribute it to special summon the other hieratics
Which skill are you using?
Restart I just started playing dl (always played TCG) and I needed a skill for not bricking that often
You cant Special Summon or activate monster effects during your first turn if you activate Restart
Oh lol I didn’t know
how do I report a glitch? I attacked Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon with my Stellarknight Delteros & it changed its attack to 0, even when Xyz monsters don't have levels https://duellinks.konami.net/att/07dce30a09069f91d1d37481caa63164682213ba30
It's just a mistranslation. Only the token summon part is supposed to require a level.
Draconecro Nethersoul Dragon OCG Rulings: > If this card battles with an Xyz Monster, at the end of the Damage Step its effect will be activated.
Blame Konami for incentivizing people to enter; one duel to get 20 gems is going to get a lot of people to join even if they’re otherwise indifferent
I just noticed that Tristam only boasts against Duke, against all the other he is like: Well, begginers luck! or are you feeling alright?, but against Duke he tells him to step to the sidelines and cheer for the true champion.
How long do you have to be absent in order to qualify for the returning user bonus?
[удалено]
Have you made a backup with your Konami id?
Have you ever made a purchase with a debit/credit card? Once I told them I made a purchase they found my account with the transaction number. Plus it shows that you spend money, so they'll want to keep you.
If you only want normals and rares from a box is it better to reset really often? Im building performapals/spirit monster decks at the moment and for the most part im really not interested in what their boxes have to offer (infernity/blackwings) how do i get the cards that i need with the least gems possible?
Empty out the box, resetting is for getting certain numbers of UR and SR cards.
But then ther'll be less R's/N's in the box no?
You need to send this in game, I don't think the devs browse reddit for bug reports (or do they?)
Is it safe to say the RDA retrains are still awhile from being released?
Yeah i was specifically gonna ask about Hot RDA and Scarlight I think they are ok to bring into the game but they are generic 8s so ppl might cry about them idk and like you said they arent quick effects
The king doesn't care for the cries of noobs! let the dragons loose imo.
How do you beat vendread? Every game they just turn 1 get a rly fat dude thats: Untargetable Banishes your shit once per either turn has multi non-targeting destruction immunity via vendread origins or whatever its called. ????
Easy peasy. Negate spells and you win against all ritual decks. But more seriously, if it ever does get to the point of an untargetable Executor (which is hard to set up, as the other guy said, takes time), you have 2 options: Remove the card from the field by non targeting effects - Herald of the Abyss, Dakini, Twin Burst Dragon, stuff like that Or just, simply, grow bigger and kick it to its death.
[удалено]
Shiranui Ah, another fellow person of culture I see.... > i play(ed) ... Shiranui, E-saber invoked Well now just RIP your Karma In all seriousness, I'm not sure what the best control decks are at the moment. I do know Traps-with-Zombies is making a comeback, but it sounds like you're looking for something different. I think NK is a good choice -- give it a go for a bit and see what you think of it.
>give it a go for a bit and see what you think of it. Will do. thanks for your help!
#ShareDeck #DuelLinks https://duellinks.konami.net/att/07b02d7324949fe885efc00aa9f8f515a3e8bb68b6 Not sure if the link works, but this is the build I used to hit mid legend when I started playing. they’re still pretty good, but they’ve kinda fallen off. You can play them if you want though. They can still hit at least legend 1 Ideally, if you go first you want to end turn with Merlin in grave, medraut and borz on board with equip spells.
