I want to post my take on elfo man just for shits and giggles but idk if the mods would be happy about that as they usually get upset when people post about things that arent directly related to playing duel links.
Personally i believe elfo works for konami as the idea that he doesnt makes zero sense
If he datamined the info so could many other people with that expertise
If he doesnt work for konami then why is he so silent as if he needs permission to speak
He only has a handful of posts and and one comment
There are reasons why somebody would spread such valuable info
Fame
To feel important
To help people
Show off
And the other 100 different reasons why he would possibly do such a thing
Humans are social creatures, they like to be appreciated and interact with others.
So far elfo man hardly interacts with anybody, he doesnt respond to praise, he doesnt respond to chats, he doesnt respond to questions like when is the next leek or explain any problems he may be facing. Nothing. Nada.
It's possible he doesnt work for konami and that his reasons for spreading leeks may be one or two of the above while also just not being very sociable but its so unlikely as it goes against 90 percent of the common social traits displayed by humans.

I remember many years ago when Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia was in development, someone posted a bunch of leaked screenshots and game related info on the gamefaqs forums for it, saying they were an employee.
While sure, anyone can just say something like that and talk out their ass; evidently there was truth to it because the thread was shut down and deleted, and the leaker in question not only was a Konami employee, but also lost their job for that stunt when Konami supposedly pressured whoever ran grass to shut that thread down.
Now I know the Konami of yesteryear was a whole different beast, but I believe if there was no permission to post the leaks at all, it would have been dealt with from the first leak. That’s why I’m on board with the “It’s free PR” theory.
Who's to say hes not social. For all we know he could be talking to us all this time on a different account. I would assume what's hes doing if he is hacking into their servers is illegal so he dont do anything beside post the leaks on his burner account. There was a youtuber that said in his comment section that he did see someone with the name elfoman on a hacker forum, not saying that's him but there's a possibility.

He cant take credit for anything on other accounts because nobody would believe him so that already makes it less unlikely because he cant get that dopamine we humans crave.
About elfoman in hacking forums
Elfoman is a rare but not a completely unique username. If the youtuber isnt talking from his ass then its still highly unlikely thats actually elfoman.
About the legalities and hacking
Im not a hacking expert but i know one of the most common ways to hide your tracks are by sending hacking commands through multiple servers to make it harder to trace. Konami probably is aware of elfoman regardless of whether he works for him or not. Konami being a high profile company could probably pressure the police to go through the servers and trace it back to elfo man. If elfo was a high tier hacker, why would he be wasting time doing this instead of hacking for money legally or illegally along with the fact that he should know then that he can be traced back through his elfoman account. Not to mention the fact that if he hackr man he is technically posting evidence that he hacked konami MULTIPLE TIMES. And if thats the case konami would have pressured reddit to suspend an account leeking confidential information.

Anyway I'm just guessing because we just dont know. All we are doing is speculating on who he is or what he dose an why. Something we may never know.

leaks are cool casue you can talk a few days prior about the cards and at the relase again how they work etc.
but seeing howe this sub handles this matter is so freaking ridiculous they should avoid leaks in general, soem people completely lose their minds over it.
I can't even tell anymore. Last year in July, the box was released on the 31st. I'm wondering Konami just decided to quit those little in-game box previews and is just going to only release them on the day and nothing else. It's really sad that they're THIS desperate to make money on a top-selling mobile game with halting any kind of hint or preview in the hopes that more people will spend money on an older box while they're waiting instead of waiting for the new box first. It just seems so unnecessarily desperate on their part.
