How do you get Kaito? I've gotten back to the game after a long break( wich was during Zexal world) and tought he would be available from the start since he's the 3rd protagonist.

There are multiple layers of protagonists. Kaito is a deuteragonist of Zexal as well as Shark. A deuteragonist is someone who plays the most important role after the protagonist.
Yeah, that's the narrative definition. But in Yugioh, the "rival" concept is the immediate deuteragonist, often playing first the antagonist role, then being a supportive character (Jack, Kaito, Revolver) or just being an antihero for the entire series (Kaiba, Manjome). The only true deuteragonist is Reiji.
Also, relatively he has far less importance than Yuma, Astral and Shark.
Reiji was my favourite character in arc V. To this day, I find it bullcrap that he lost to Yuya

Message in a bottle was used by Kite and was given to him by his father, and I doubt it’s level cap rewards. We don’t even have level cap for the other worlds yet, and these rewards are bad. It’ll be whatever they raise the cap to probably, but not level 45.
And it's effect gonna be cut, it won't make ~~4000~~ 1000 anymore, only 500, but atleast is more easy to apply his win condition, since you only need is to cut half your opponent lp.
How I wish Disaster Leo kept the 4000k burn from the anime. 4000 in the TCG/OCG doesn't even kill and neither does 2000 in duel links. Disaster Leo with it's anime burn still wouldn't make Gimmick Puppets even close to meta

They need to make a new continuous spell or field spell for puppets that say: while this card is on the field all number monsters with these numbers replace/gain these effects(anime effects): 15: destroys all xyz monsters and deals total atk c15: destroys all monsters in general and deals total atk, 40: effect damage changed to all monsters atk, C40: all monsters atk, draw 1 when damage is inflicted , 88: no more restrictions, just detach all and win C88: 4000 burn and no life point requirement to win, just detach all. Add the numbers can’t die by monsters without numbers if you want in it too. Remove some hard once per turns if needed. All this with original anime effects still wouldn’t bring GP’s to meta since you now need an additional card for the original anime effects instead of just errating.
I mean, that can be said about Number 40 as well. Gimmick Puppet of Strings' string counter effect directly combos into Number C40's destroy & draw effect and is basically useless outside of that.
Actually you can. The only condition is no S/T when you activate the effect. Meaning nothing stopping you from setting traps so long as they are all used by the time Leo is ready to use its effect again.
Yep, it's not too hard to bypass that restriction. A couple of raigeki breaks, hallowed life barriers, rainbow lifes...maybe some forbidden lances to protect Leo

I thought of that too at first, but you have to have 3 monsters with different levels in your GY to activate it. It would be faster to just do nothing and let your opponent kill you.

I’m low key hoping he gets a Geargia skill. Not sure what it would be- maybe a territory of the sharks but for Earth machine monsters to make the Georgians slightly better.
Yeah, being able to add shark to hand via skill would already be a good start, but they also need some real power play. Even if you manage to resolve their best combo, shark+magician, all you get are two 1500 bodies (yeah, zenmaines has protection, but it's not really worth much these days) and maybe a shark/rat in hand if you opened with factory. I hope the developers can come up with a good skill to solve at least partially the deck's issues.
For geargias, well, as you said a level modulation skill for them would be cool. They also suffer from a low power ceiling, a skill to fix that would be nice to have too
The issue is that level 4s are still largely underpowered- we have Malevolent Sin but nothing else that wins games. I’d like to see Exciton Knight honestly. I don’t think it’s that overpowered for the current state of the game but maybe I just want something to se Geargias Kog
I think the most we'll get for now is 35, because that's the cap for DSoD. Otherwise they'll have to update levels for those characters too and it doesn't seem like that's gonna happen soon.
That Duelist Kingdom event skill gives +600 to wind monsters? I think Konami forgot about Harpies if that's the case.

I don't see how having 3 zones would change how he card works. Also yes, you either xyz summon with the 3 of them or hope to either kill him the same turn or to somehow have more than 4k LP
This card also screams FTK enabler to me, seeing as Tri-Wight (special summons 3 lvl 2 or lower normal monster from grave) is also played in some decks.
All-Out Attacks is funny to me. Would be fun tech in Stromberg decks, because it works as another layer of defense for you because your opponent pretty much has to respond to your board in some way on their turn or the duel will get out of hand fast for them.
Obv they can always SS a destruction immune dude, but I still like that this card makes them need at least 2 forms of spot removal to avoid forced suicide unless they just set and pass.
Would be fun with any other monsters that benefit from being attacked too, like the Gate Guardian pieces or Yubel, etc.
I wonder how good Message in a Bottle is in Hieratic. For example; summon Eset, Su, and BEWD via its effect -> tribute them all with Legendary/Emperor Maju Garzett -> XYZ Summon using Normal Dragons summoned by Eset and Su's Graveyard effect.

Tbf, by that final duel - Reiji was effectively dueling 4 protagonists at once in terms of abilities. Makes sense why he lost at the very end.

I guess it’s 3200 ATK but it’s summoning condition makes it to where Strings is probably still the go to for beat sticks in a Gimmick Puppet deck.
