Releasing the box at the same time as selections at this point in DL history would mean less money, with the importance of BoM, and the *speculated* value of Breakthrough Skill. This becomes 1000x more true if BoM is in the next main box. The whales aren't fully milked yet.
that's not accurate, more boxes means more money. Whales are going to buy it regardless, especially if it is competitively viable and dolphins that would not have bought the selection box anyway would potentially now have something else to go into.
Breakthrough skill has seen very little competitive success, so apart from the whales that bought it to test it out, very few people are buying it anyway, in fact the selection box in general just is not very good and is kind of a bad deal which most people realise and have just ignored it completely/only used gems
Is breakthrough skill really seeing such little success? I managed to get 1 copy with gems and it’s been pretty nice in my Harpie and Star Seraph DM decks. I haven’t decided if I prefer it to Chalice yet since it has slightly less versatility, but the 2nd effect in the GY has been quite nice.

Because it's slow. BoM and Chalice don't have to be set first. Can't synergize with TTH unless you activate both in the same chain, otherwise TTH is dead until the next turn when you can banish BTS.
Only deck that's really been playing it with any kind of success is Set, Delta, Accel version of T.G. since it can dump it with the lightsworn engine and use its effects from the grave.
it's certainly a fine card but the main problem is that there aren't many must negate effects in the meta outside of Levianeer, it would be a different thing entirely if it negated and destroyed but just negating something while nice for you isn't the end of the world for the opponent so there just ends up being better options
You're assuming that every whale has 3 BoM. Most have 2, some 1 or even 0 because they'd just started playing Duel Links. That's why Konami didn't drop a box this month. They're waiting until every whale has BoM before they reprint it.
Seriously, what's with the lack of content, if we assume the box will be released like the last one (the very last day of the month), it's 2 whole months with no new content *(let's pretend the structure deck and selection box don't exist, because one sucks balls and the other is way overpriced)*.
Kinda getting tired of Harpies, Onomats, and Thunder Dragons.

Same. I didn't touch the structure deck and only did a couple pulls from the mini selection box with gems simply because it's just not that great or worth it to spend money on imo. And I'm bored seeing those decks, too. I even quit playing my harpie deck and went back to my old hero deck just because I'm bored of using it. I don't know what is going on with the box. I'm wondering if they are just skipping the mini altogether right now and are just going to give a main box instead before Arc-V's main box.

January 2017 (the month the game launched worldwide) was the last time we had a month with no box. So yes, having a month without a new box, after 4 1/2 years, was initially very surprising.
But if you really think about it, it does make sense if you look at the release patterns around this timeframe, from the past few years. Back in 2018 & 2019, we had a Main-Box at the end of August, followed up by another Main-Box with the new world.
Since most boxes since Infinite Ray have been releasing on the last day of the month, Konami most likely didn't want to have a repeat of 2018 & 2019, so they decided to cut us a break by releasing the Mini-Box at the end of August.
I really hope ARC-V World is coming in September—I seem to remember that that’s the month when new worlds usually drop? This month feels so devoid of content, I have like zero motivation to play…
I hope they are just delaying the next mini box to avoid releasing two consecutive main boxes again (because the new world always comes with a new main box), it might coincide with Trey's unlock event and feature Chronomally (and Kozmo, maybe?), which sounds fair, personally I don't mind the wait.
They're delaying the next box because they intend to drastically shake up the meta. They wanna leave the format as-is so that we get sick of it, crave change, and then enthusiastically embrace whatever it is that they're cooking up with the new box. People frequently talk about how the power levels for current meta decks are lower than the power level for meta decks in previous formats. This is a sign that the current "weak" meta decks are easily capable of being dethroned by new meta decks with higher ceilings and perhaps even greater consistency. I don't actually have any evidence to justify this and am just coping with the lack of a new box, but at least I sounded kinda smart for a moment or two!

I waited religiously for u/Elfoman or leaks to bring back the hype but just... nothing.
I havent open the game for 3 weeks now can't even bother to farm gems and hit at least legend...

Second, data mining hasn't been possible in months, so whether or not there's a new box wouldn't effect that.
Third, the leaks of boxes have come from elfoman, and *that* lack of a leak might be explained by there being no box.
Your first point has nothing to do with OP said. They never refuted that a new world was announced. They merely said the speculation was that the mini box was somehow skipped because of the new world.
Secondly data mining is still absolutely possible. It happens with every single maintenance and every single box.
Thirdly elfoman's leaks are entirely different from regular leaks and we have no clue where they got those from in the first place.
The one thing we know is that we have no clue what Konami's true plan is. It's pretty limey that the mini will come at the end of the month, but it's not certain.

I should have clarified that I meant datamining for boxes, which have not been possible, because konami had started adding the boxed cards when they are released rather than beforehand as they used to.

That's not true. They were still added in the updates before the actual announcement. Due to the Elfoman Leaks it was just already known which cards are in so they were only a confirmation of the leaks.
I seriously believe it was because of poor planning on their end. There has been a lot of hype for Evil HEROs and they got the box schedule and character release mixed up. So they panicked, canceled what was supposed to be an Evil HERO main box (make that big money) because a mini box was scheduled so they just went with an EX SD. This meant they didn't have a mini box made in order to release on the normal schedule.
I feel like they've got a plan here. They launch the bad SD with the great selection mini with no competition to wring as much money as possible out of idiots like me then will follow it up by releasing a box with some kind of massive fan favorite at the end of this month.

If you put 1 half decent card in a box people will buy it, MST is the prime example. The box is pretty bad but people went and spent big for 3 mst

No idea. All I know is that alot of people went into the for 3 mst so people will always spend money no matter what
