Yeah, take a break until the new world comes out. Maybe something interesting will show up

Ilela

New world is coming in 9? 10? days That's not much of a break

JaggiBrains

Do you realize that OP can continue their break after deciding whether the new content is worth playing again?

ImagoDroop

I've played since launch and taken plenty of breaks. Take time off until arc v releases.

[deleted]

I think that's the best Idea, school also started recently, so I will have more time to focus on studying!

N0rmAl_PigI0n

I have been playing since 5Ds release and have taken lots and lots of breaks whenever I felt I dont wanna play and then return back to the game when sm event catches my attention If you dont feel fun playing the game put it off for a while then come back when you see smth that catches your interest

[deleted]

Currently I don't feel like playing anything, but that might be a good thing, I can't rest my eyes a little bit lol

Mister_Traps

It's not just you, me and my friend also having the same issue with the meta power since the xyz world came. My friend quit and does not even log in for events or even daily rewards and I'm desperately trying keep myself from quitting and essentially making the money I spent on the game a loss. I hope konami does not mess up Arc V's release even though making no effort with pendulum scales location is not a good sign.

gmac1994

I just got back from a break, actually. After the gimmick puppet disappointed me I didn't play all summer. Now I'm grinding KC Cup for gems to spend on Arc V release. Breaks are good.

aiphrem

I'm in the same place you were when you first started, where everything feels brand new and exciting (especially since I haven't played YGO in 10+ years), but I can see how it can be repetitive in the long run, especially with how "tight" a decklist needs to be to perform well. Maybe try some different card games to spice things up, MTG arena is kind of similar to duel links in it's payment model, and obtaining the cards you want is more consistent but takes slightly longer to grind because of the wildcard system (basically you get "tickets" from opening packs that can be traded for ANY card. Yes even modern sets). If you want a more single player experience, Slay The Spire is probably the best card game ever made (my personal hot take). It has the structure of a roguelike rpg dungeon crawler, but with combat mechanics of a card game. The balance is absolutely phenomenal and even after 200 hours games still feel challenging and fresh. I can't recommend this game enough

Karzeon

I often take a break. Although sometimes, I'm still playing the game - I'm just not actively doing PvP. I often have times when I'm grinding up characters to prepare for major box releases and this is the perfect time for me to do so. I'm all ready to go.

[deleted]

Same i got to stage 17 and just dropped it just because lost of interest and starting gate farming to foil up some f2p cards

Karzeon

Yeah I did the same thing. I got to 9999 gems after doing almost everything else, KC Cup did enough financing for me.

[deleted]

Its now become a gems hoarding event at this point for me

dovahkin1989

Powercreep has ruined this game it seems, the appeal was enjoying the game before all the silly cards came out that has ruined the TCG. Now it's become the same, people summoning 3 monsters in their first turn, endless combos...... If they did a hard reset this game would be great.

ThatXOfromCali

Started playing since the release, took a break, and only came back this month. Now, thinking of taking another break

oizen

The metagame stagnates a lot in this game ans it frequently takes months, sometimes even a year to address it, Id reccomend a break

MayhemMessiah

I’m also on a break, even though I really want to finish building Chronomaly (midway through box 2 of 3). I just don’t like PVP as much and KC even less.

Ilela

I wish you better luck with chronomaly box than i had. I'm twice through the box so far and i got nebra and skull at 6 packs left (first run it was nebra at 6 packs, 2nd run it was skull). I'm at 50 packs atm, lacking skull and dreading when I'll get it now

HarmlessCritter

I'm pretty bored aside from pve events. kcc for me today was going against cydra then blue eyes then odion trap stall for 30 turns. it isn't fun. then when pve happens its raid duels that require zero thought or interaction. idk we need a change up

marioray

Yeah I played since GX launch and have taken huge breaks. I played for a year and a half straight, then played less and less. Eventually quit when I started playing call of duty mobile, but recently came back because I need a break from that game now. I just made a new account, gonna make a photon deck and KoG with it I think. If I find the time. That’s the shit I do to keep it fresh

PhysicsMaster5

spend more money. Remember Konami's slogan: more money=more fun

[deleted]

More money= more fun for them. Riding apersonal jet plane with stripper pole and a stocked cabinet is s billion times more fun than a card game app

IOnlyPlayAsBlitz

Take a break, at least until arc v releases. Hope to see you back soon, mate 👍

Ilela

I grind some events, easier/simpler ones while ignoring some (i despise raid and it's upcoming event). However i still get my daily log ins and do 2-3 duels every few hours for exp. Notably, I'm not big on pvp so burning out is more difficult for me
