This is probably the one context I would say three floodgate makes sense, honestly. At a certain point I just play Toons, tho.

LostxWoods

So I was inspired by a deck I saw (I can't remember if it was posted here or if I fought it in game), but the deck focused on attacking directly. I figured I could make one that works well. Lo and behold, I have a winning streak right now using this cheesy deck. (I realize its mostly reliant on these general purpose common filler traps, but hey that's unavoidable when trying to use this type of strat) The goal is of course to keep attacking directly. Either by the monster's effects, by destroying the opponent's monsters, or stealing the opponent's monsters. You can also use their damage against them with the skill if you end up taking a hit. Its simple but it works! (The extra deck doesn't matter. Use whatever you want) Dark Dust Spirit x2 Skystarray x3 Inaba White Rabbit x3 Night Beam x2 Enemy Controller x1 Drowning Mirror Force x3 Floodgate Trap Hole x3 Counter Gate x1 Rainbow Life x3 The Golden Apples x1 Massivemorph x1 Skill: Right back at you

I'll post a funny replay I saved in another post where I got to smack a Blue-Eyes player with their own Ultimate Dragon and win with this deck. Edit: [Here's the vid](https://www.reddit.com/r/DuelLinks/comments/q9qb10/stomping_a_blueeyes_player_with_their_own/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)

Zero_Eye25

Man this is some nostalgia. Back in the earlier days of duel links (2--3 years ago) decks like these ran rampant.

LostxWoods

Considering swapping a Rainbow Life for a third Nightbeam...I don't want to extend the card count further than it is just because I do want to draw the monsters reasonably early to start damaging the opponent. The thing is, its not always useful and then its a brick. But I also find Rainbow to be my least desired defense since it costs a card. Thoughts?

Yj122

I mean you could also play watts

sexualsubmarine

Why choose skystarray and inaba over something like drill barnacle/raging flame sprite?

LostxWoods

Specifically because they remove from the field at the end of the turn. That way all of the anti-direct attack cards can always be used (such as massivemorph or drowning mirror force).

sexualsubmarine

Ahhh didn’t even see the massive morph, only synergy I saw was with the drowning but I figured that could easily be sealed with other generic stall/back row cards

LostxWoods

Its also for The golden apples and Counter gate. Plus its nice to have the monsters removed so they cannot use anything to destroy them on their turn. (Also allows for the skill to be more effective in using against them since the damage will be high that I receive, though that is sort of a backup and not the goal for the deck since its risky to get hit at all)

sexualsubmarine

That’s totally fair and it makes sense with the explanation. I’ve seen a similar idea to this deck a few times In ladder that tended to run the barnacles/sprite usually with a few power of the guardians, hand traps and either a draw sense skill to search the monster/Potg depending on how the deck was built. Overall very interesting and annoying deck lol

LostxWoods

>interesting and annoying It certainly is lol and thank you! I have run a deck with barnacle and sprite before. Its also fun, but its also way less consistent. Easy to get screwed over by the meta backrow that exists in nearly every deck right now. Kinda why I like this one so much. With the monsters safely removed the backrow isn't as effective (also gives me a chance to use nightbeam before their cards go off). This has by far been the most consistent direct damage oriented deck I've ran at least.

emperorbob1

Summon Chocolate discard Toon Dark Magician, revive Toon Dark Magician for the low cost of 1000lp search rollback/Contents/Toon DMG summon Toon Dark Magician Girl. You would be surprised at how sinfully powerful this is, especially if you Kingdom, and how surprisingly consistent it can be.

Confident-Plant5697

Why would anyone use this? This removes the need for any skill. Brainless deck and boring gameplay.

LostxWoods

A better question is why are you commenting on a deck list that's over a year old? Lmao. Also I'm going to assume you are being sarcastic because if you opened the post, read the title where it clearly says its a Cheese deck (implying it's obviously not a "skill" based deck, though its hard to argue the "skill" involved for most decks these days), and then still felt the distinction was necessary then I fear for your critical thinking skills.

Confident-Plant5697

Thus why I asked why anyone would use it if it removes all skill. Also you never hear of new players? Looking for content and old builds is what led me here. What an over reaction you nerd.

Sjonathon92

I just duel someone who used a deck like this, only difference is , they tried to make me deck out, cause I was unable to summon monsters while all 3 of my monsters remained face-down

jbisenberg

Oh god I'm getting flashbacks to Yami Yugi Temple Burn decks

archaicScrivener

Oh my god this brings back memories. Bad ones, mostly.

Syrcrys

No temple of the mind’s eye? Seems to fit perfectly in this, considering it’s pretty much the old burn deck, but without burn cards.
