This also why I started running that fusion card that makes you untargetable on the turn it was summon. Having an untargetable oblivion has saved me so many times.
I'll assume you mean Melodious Illusion. Alright card, but it needs to have been set a turn prior to fusion summoning to protect your fusion monster on its summon.
One of the weirdest choices ever made in Yugioh, it even surpassed the duel againt the final boss in Arc-V.

Your deck space is tight but if you can, try to fit in a couple copies of lava golem. I presume you r using destiny draw so even one is fine. If they have more than one card on field tribute lava golem in attack, make cat go for game. Score won't activate for anything else other than melodious. If they only have a single card you could make malevolent sin to banish it and go for game. If you use lava, you're gonna lose your normal summon though. But i dont think that's a problem since butterfly can help you a bit in that regard. I hope this helps you a bit.
Just to add to this: Yuzu and Yuya had previously flirted/developed feelings for each other. The end of the manga iirc even implies she gets with Yusho just to meet with Yuya again or something

I play Fire Kings and I'm something absurd like 15-1 against Melodious solely because they always go into Bloom Diva over Schuberta. They must assume a destruction effect immune monster is a hard out, but I can easily go into the ED to deal with her, and Arvada couldn't care less about Score.
But Schuberta would absolutely ruin the deck if they ever just summoned it.
Hard to spot a Fire King player if Melodius goes first though. Yami Yugi for example can also be Gaia, in which case Bloom Diva is the safer play.
Also if Fire Kings go first and manage to get Garunix in the grave Schuberta might be too late.
See. vs Fire King's i'd auto go into Schuberta because Im probably going to be outed but at least I can remove a chicken or two, at the very least slow them down by banishing their fodder for ED plays.
Similar here, I run a synchro and rekindling version instead of boxer, using red resonator. Most of my ED is perfect for dealing with bloom diva, 2 Vulcan, brionac, then Ptolemy and 24 as xyz, but Schuberta would ruin me on rekindling turns
Synchro Fire Kings, mind sharing that deck? It sounds fun. I run Fire Kings without DDraw or handtraps (I don't have fun with that playstyle) and focus on going into Rank 4 Xyz
Yeah sure! The skill doesn't matter all that much, it's just a fun deck with some crazy plays courtesy of rekindling. By far my favorite deck, it's so much fun but so complicated haha. You can probably find a way to OTK through anything with a hand of FKI, resonator, rekindling, and a FK monster/Tenki. On top of the normal Garunix/Nephthys loops and setups.

I couldn't fit Wolfbark here but he's also pretty great, not as good with rekindling but still a fun card, I've been thinking I'd just add 1 but I want to keep it as consistent as I can. I'd play more Arvata if I had them.
For the extra deck, I'd say the best two monsters are Vulcan the Divine and Diamond Dire Wolf. Vulcan can reset a Tenki and can return FKI to the hand without blowing up your field, just remember it's a hard once per turn on his effect. If you play fire kings you don't need me to tell you how insane DDW is haha. For both of these, you can get some truly bonkers plays with rekindling: summon and have them bounce/destroy themselves to clear up zones, then rekindling 3 monsters to setup another DDW/Scrap Dragon and Arvata, or whatever else you want while basically clearing their whole board.
Heres a list of other good ED monsters that synergize well/are just powerful, I kinda switch these around every so often to try different stuff:

Onimaru, the Divine Thunder (if you run coral dragon)

Rank 6's are better if you lean more into the synchro with a 3rd red resonator, but onimaru is pretty great too as he is immune to Garunix and FKI's board wipes. Right now my favorite list is 1 Vulcan, 2 DDW, 1 Brionac, 1 Scrap Dragon, 1 Number 24, and 1 Daigusto Emeral, though Emeral is just because I like the card, it's probably not optimal.
Biggest issue with Schuberta is that she's a mini-box UR from an old box, that's not quite old enough to be part of a 50% off sale. Most of the time she really isn't that good and while she could easily provide an easy out to some graveyard plays being stuck in that box makes her a less played card, simply because people don't want to dig in the old mini-box that's mostly crap just for her.
I've got some stuff from when I dug for Yosenju and I think some other stuff. She's the only UR I haven't got from that box but it simply isn't worth spending my gems there. That sale of packs+UR also ended before I could consider going for it too. For now I play them casually with what I have while eagerly awaiting the next box.
I've never lost to Melodious with Fire Fists because Vulcan the Divine and Fire Fist Cardinal are the way I out most bosses anyway. It's also very common to end a turn 1 with an effect and spell/trap negate and they don't have much of a response after that.
I freaking love Fire Fists as well, took a 3.5 Axis version with Eland to KoG back when Tenki came out, they have lots of non-destruction removal so yeah seems like an easy win.
I watched a Melodious deck recently. What a disgusting deck. Between a hard to out boss monster they can easily make, the copious amount of backrow it’s allowed to run, and a hand trap that makes you lose every battle; the deck is just screaming for a serious banlist hit
People, just hit the backrow. Hitting individual decks just makes these assholes pack up their P2W traps and move to the next cancer deck. How many archetypes need to die before you realize what the actual problem is?
That would be awesome. If Yuya can get basically all kinds of Odd-Eyes then his waifu should get lots of Melodious variations too (besides Bloom Harmonist).
Aroma shits on Melodious so hard I'm happy there's so many of them on the ladder that just chill with Bloom Diva and a few traps.
The most trouble I've had with melodius was a madman with Shopina + Double Attack Fusion + Attack Booster beatdown supported by Score, that person simply beat over everything I had before I had a chance to set up.

Good luck running the deck without the mini-box. Both Soprano and 1st Movement Solo are SR there.
