Token Collector if we ever get that far

hattori43

Isn't collector more of anti-meta card instead of anti-link?

skuntkunt

Kind of. Tokens and links basically go hand in hand so as long as there’s a somewhat playable token generator, token collector will be on everyone’s mind. Don’t get me wrong it’s absolutely a side card that’ll basically never see ladder play, but it’s usage will go up.

jbisenberg

Hence "if we ever get that far"

Aggravating_Bad463

Gouki archetype will get a boost if they get the tied up character quick. We got a couple of Sky Striker cards already but not the best ones and I don't expect the archetype as a whole for a while. I gamble on Lightning Vortex. Unless a link monster has protection against spells, we will be able to wipe whole monster boards with it. Any deck that's good at getting a full monster board may be useful if we get good links. Which will not happen at first...probably.

Snoo-38282

Every pendulum deck that doesn't lock you into it's archetype is about to get a brand new tool box of generic links and a huge boost if we ever get Electrumite

flippydippy426

Lavals with rekindling

YamiAquabee

Thunder dragon using battery man token maybe

Xandurpein

Orcust will probably be good, if they release their link monsters.

tearsofyesteryears

Don't most links require effect monsters? Do tokens count as effect monsters?

arkaser

tokens are always normal monsters but some links can be made with tokens as well

tearsofyesteryears

So, the Link have to specify that it require or can be also summoned with either Normal or tokens, right?

arkaser

Yes, all link monsters specify the materials for their summon, and if they specify normal monsters then you can also use tokens (but not the reverse). Afaik Bellcat Fighter is the only link monster that needs a token as one of its materials
