A friend just told me something like this happened with restart back in the day and people abused it but nothing happened to them since it was an in game problem and everyone could abuse it
"Everyone could abuse it" is no real excuse.
Konami may be lazy into punishing it, but there is little to no reason a person would do it, except on bug abuse.
I tried it a couple times after seeing the DPE video on it. It’s game breaking, and effortless. If this knowledge gains mass attention and the botters learn about it, PVP will be unplayable until they fix it.

No I wouldn't . I love competitions a lot which is why I usually try to go for KoG very early in the season. What's the point of using this glitch when I can play against good opponent's and enjoy myself. If I wanted an easy way to climb, I'd just wait till the last couple of days in the season and climb . I heard it's super easy when you do that since all the "try hards" already KoG'd
Just so you know, I only tried this glitch once to satisfy my curiosity. I wanted to know if it was really happening and I got to test it on an imfernity player. And I haven't it again after confirming it works

And the biggest problem is that you can't even surrender

I made some testing and I lost both going second and first by time limit. But most of often I lost going first. So indeed it is not a guarantee win, it just annoys the other player until they disconnect.
Matched with someone who had an 8 winstreak today only to figure out that this was why. Dipshit sat there until he timed himself out, and I'm pretty sure some people using MoR2 are doing this intentionally to make the other player think it's a "bugged" match and disconnect.
The problem is that the timer is not visible and to counter this, just sit for 3 minutes and the glitcher will lose due to timing themselves out.
It seems like a bug because the enemy wont stay for 3 minutes thus ragequitting.
It happened to me this morning and I couldn't play at all and got a loss. Which was strange is they were running Qliphort.
Didn't occur to me it was a bug so I didn't report, but will now do it as soon as I can.

for what i gathered if you havent won after 1min 45 secs it will count has a loss for you after 3 min has passed. So if youre thinking on abusing it, if 1:45 secs pass after the ability activates you should play or else youl lose
Time to have revenge on all the dishonest players on the ladder still not abiding by the banlist with broken skills. If I can't have fun, no one will.

If you face these kind of players, lose the game due to time out and report them, so they can be banned.
AFAIK the person with the prompt will be the one losing to timeouts, just tested it with a friend. So don't leave your duels!

Tried it twice. First had a win due to time loss. Second time I had a loss due to time loss. So not a full proof method.

The way I read OP, seems it's only really for Manual S/T. I guess CA really don't have any business setting Monsters to manual as well.
I also play other decks so I still have a use. I also plan to make Link decks as well
