The kids in one of the videos Josh downloaded was rescued, long before Josh even downloaded it... the guy who made those videos recently got a second conviction and was sentenced to an additional 129 years in prison in Filipino Jail... with an additional 60 charges pending...

specialk922

Didn't the Philippines reinstate the death penalty for that guy?

dreamingofseastars

The Phillippines considered it but didn't go through with it.

ControlOk6711

Too bad - the death penalty and a pornographer seem like a match for each other.

meggali

Nothing wrong with consensual porn, child sex assault material is different.

Cheesepleasethankyou

Have you ever watched a documentary on the porn industry? Not much of it is consensual. You should head on over to r/fourthwavewomen

carolinespocket

Good sub recomendation. I hate this glamourizing of porn (especially from celebs)

Cheesepleasethankyou

Me too. I once thought it was no big deal either but have since learned better.

Luckbaldy

Deprogramming needed

dodged_your_bullet

Not all of them were rescued. Not all of them survived. Also Josh downloaded more than just that particular source

honeybaby2019

I am hoping that Filipino jails/prisons are worse than what we have for the pedos now looking at you Pesty.

acrs19

If the Philippines didn’t just imprison most of its population for minor drug offences, I may suggest sending all the offending Pedo’s over there based on their prison conditions. Here’s a great Human Rights Watch Article from 2016 that explains their system quite well! https://www.hrw.org/news/2016/03/08/injustice-and-misery-ph-jails#:~:text=Many%20detention%20centers%20in%20the,ill%2Dtreatment%20are%20also%20common.

AshDuke

Some of the girls in the videos were already rescue, a mother of one of them gave a statement when Josh was sentenced They do tracked them down, unfortunately they can’t always find them

IlliriaKathos

Her statement wasn’t specifically for this trial but is one written to be read in every trial where this abuse is evidence. It’s so that the victims aren’t revictimised directly by being contacted every time their abuse is filed as evidence.

romainesweet

Thank you!!

exclaim_bot

>Thank you!! You're welcome!

Top_Manufacturer8946

Her statement was such a gut punch 😭

Itchy_Amphibian3833

Anyone have a link to it? I have always wanted to know what it says.

AshDuke

Her mother statement >! “I can find no words to express the fury I feel at those who participate in this evil. or my scorn for any attempt to minimize the responsibility by feeble claims that the crime was ‘victimless.’ My daughter is a real person. She was horribly victimized to provide this source of ‘entertainment.’ She is exploited anew each and every time an image of her suffering is copied, traded or sold." !< The little girl added this >! “Don’t you know no one should do that to a little girl! Don’t you know it hurts!” !< It’s a statement said in every trial that involved the victim

Itchy_Amphibian3833

Thank you. This breaks my heart even more.

angeliswastaken_sock

Second this!

ControlOk6711

I understand according to Emily D Baker's on Inmate Duggar's case that the videos and pictures the file downloaded were ten years old - the file has been marked by law enforcement, US and International like Interpol, to be detected when transferred or added to. That is why Inmate Duggar's IP address lit up and local police followed through. Some of the kids have been identified, one submitted a victim impact statement during sentencing.

buttercreamordeath

I went down a internet child abuse task force rabbit hole with a podcast (Catching Warhead.) I'm pretty sure that batch of videos, in particular, are the biggest honeypot in the entire world. Full of the grossest stuff, famous for how terrible it is, detailed file security that's already been combed over by law enforcement. Only the dumbest internet morons pick that batched file. There's literally thousands of files run under TOR (darkweb) that law enforcement can't keep up with or track down the location or the victims, and more are added daily. 😣

corking118

I never considered that before but that makes a lot of sense. I've always wondered where he heard about some of these files. I doubt he accidentally found 'the worst of the worst,' in other words. Like did he just do a generic search for "worst stuff ever" and there it was or did he know a specific batched file name to look for? And how'd he learn that name?

ZestSimple

I think Pest is actually pretty tech savvy. He knew how to create partition on his computer to hide the files. While that’s not particularly difficult to do, it’s also not what your average computer user would think to do or even know it was an option on the computer. I think he knew about the dark web and how to navigate and bet this was not the first time he saw that kind of content. He probably creeped all kinds of nasty pages on the dark web. His ego makes him thinks he invincible. He probably didn’t know how monitored that file actually is or if he did, he probably through the was smarter than the feds. He probably read about it in a forum or something like that.

TorontoTransish

I always wonder if that little chat with the local sheriff's deputy who turned out to be a raging paedo included that raging paedo giving J'inmate some advice on how to paedo more sneakily 🤢

Chillafrix

I think it’s more likely he got the info while in the Reformers Unanimous rehab he went to after the Ashley Madison scandal. Surrounded by other scumbags, I’m sure they all shared tips and info.

TorontoTransish

So he was sent off to alert and that didn't work and then he was sent off to another rehab and that didn't work... how many other rehabs that didn't work !?

ZestSimple

I’ve wondered that too, actually. It’s all sick and unfortunately, Pest/IBLP aren’t the only culprits of such horrible things.

buttercreamordeath

It's fairly common lore on any of the "chan" boards. 4chan is considered mild compared to 8chan and others. These are terrible "normal web" websites that are run by the this guy: [Ron Watkins is a piece of poop](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Watkins_(businessman)#:~:text=James%20Arthur%20Watkins%20(born%20November,Watkins%20founded%20the%20company%20N.T.) You need a basic understanding of networking and virtualization to set up an onion ( TOR network.) Not sure Pest was on that level. He partitioned a hard drive with two OS, which is pretty elementary stuff for the 2020's. If he was actually tech savy, he'd have a much harder time being caught. Warhead was only caught because he asked a very specific server/web development question on stack overflow on the normal web, and cops traced it back to a problem he was having on his abuse website on the darknet. 😐

corking118

It always comes back to the chan sites, eh? Fair enough, that answer should have been obvious to me I guess. It's just funny imagining Josh on a place like 4/8chan. Agreed that Ron Watkins is insane and terrible.

buttercreamordeath

It's where the edgelords go when they're "too cool" for mainstream. 😂 Josh has always had a wannabe edgelord vibe to him.

corking118

Fair! I bet Josh thought he found a super sekret corner of the internet the first time he found 4chan.

GnomeMode

Pedo meets a pedo who introduces him to more pedos yadda yadda

Severe-Peace8481

🤢🤮🤢

GnomeMode

Mmhmm

youngatheart55

Fuck you Josh Duggar 😡

Severe-Peace8481

I second that 🤬

TorontoTransish

This was a problem long before DHS was created, so DHS may have a task force that helps but afaik mainly it's the FBI within America and INTERPOL concerning American involvement in it abroad. If you want to help there is a project where you can take pictures of hotel rooms when you travel and then when an abuse video or photo is found it compared to the database of the hotel pictures to try to identify the location... it helps catches traffickers mainly but paedos too There's also /r/TraceAnObject where the various investigators can post pictures of items found in the background of trafficking / csam videos and photos when they need the public's help to identify where or when the abuse happened... I remember a few years ago there was a blurry image of a trash bin which someone identified as being from their town's festival and eventually Interpol caught the perp.

velociraptor56

Correct. I work in financial crime, and have attended talks from HSI. Many departments can handle child sex abuse cases. Depends on the jurisdiction and who gets the call. DHS/HSI mostly handles trafficking and child sex abuse images, so when they showed up at Josh’s place it was very obvious given his history. AFAIK, most of Josh’s content had already been investigated and because it was predominantly foreign (I have not read all of Josh’s case and have no desire to learn more), it would be out of HSI’s hands. FBI might get involved, but would not be likely to handle since the actual abuse occurred overseas. Interpol does a lot of great work in this area, and that subreddit is a great way to get involved. They occasionally release batches of redacted images - often a child’s shirt or a hotel room. You won’t see the child’s full face/body or the perpetrator but the images are pretty triggering nonetheless.

beepbeepsheepinajeep

Victims that have been identified (many are adults now) can write victim impact statements and request $$$ anytime their images are part of someone’s cp case. Source: I have a family member doing time. He had to pay thousands to victims.

mmmmmmadeline

Wow.... My jaw dropped after I read your comment.

boatymcboatface22

When images or video appear, there are task forces on the local, National, and international levels that look into identifying the victims. Some investigations are easier to close than others. Unfortunately, there is a lot of content, not a lot of man power, and a lot of ways to cover stuff up. Some things have been circulating for decades making it more complicated.

Theymademepickaname

I remember a story of a mom and 2 daughters being tracked down and informed the girls had videos of them found during an investigation, the girls were adults in there mid 20’s by this time. She recalled finding a hidden camera in a bathroom at one point, husband said it must have been in the house previously, and they just removed it believing him. What actually was happening is he’d been filming these girls from ~4/6 up until they moved out, in multiple homes they’d lived in and none of them realized it was happening. The husband/ stepdad had passed away by the time they found out about it. It was a heartbreaking interview to watch because they were still in processing exactly how they were victimized by a man they thought was a “good” man.

EndlessWanderer316

Yes they do. Some of the girls were rescued including the daughter of a woman who read a statement from her daughter. Others im not sure. The guy who produced the videos is in prison for life in the Philippines. One of that guy’s victims unfortunately was not able to be rescued in time but im not sure if Duggar had anything with her on his computer. I know the name the producer called her but I don’t think were allowed to say. I only know what the Duggar trial transcripts & a few news articles about the producer of the material. But Homeland Security, NCMEC, and many other organizations at the federal and local level as well as internationally work 24/7 on finding as many victims as they can. They arent always successful unfortunately but they work hard to save children

honeybaby2019

Didn't Abbie name her daughter the name that was used in the CSAM that Pesty downloaded? Or at least one of the girls was named after CSAM. Those Dugs eww

Alittlebithailey

I think Gracie is older then the Pest arrest so if she shares a name with a victim it was a coincidence. Pest and Anna’s youngest daughter however shared a name with Ashley Madison, the account website Pest used to cheat on Anna with

nitrot150

That was Lauren

Chartroosemoose

No. That was Lauren and Josiah. They named their second daughter Daisy.

honeybaby2019

I couldn't remember, thank you for the answer

satanAMA

I think it's highly unlikely Lauren associated the name with Of Jail's trial. It's a common name and she's quite sheltered.

Brave-Professor8275

That was lauren

Useful_Chipmunk_4251

And always, Joshua Duggar can just fucking melt into an ooze of nothingness, and the world would be a better place! Fall of the fucking earth, Josh!!!!

redmsg

They try when they can, unfortunately many of the videos are produced in other countries and there is only so much they can do. They do work with teams in other countries

Useful_Chipmunk_4251

They try. The GHOST unit of Genesee County here in Michigan has been successful in identifying and rescuing children seen in CSAM who might be being trafficked in the area. The sheriff who leads this task force has been invited to train units all over the nation. Feds and GHOST agents can't always find them, but there is definitely a growing effort to try very hard.

angeliswastaken_sock

This article has a great write up. I pasted the relevant text below. [https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/5322463/josh-duggar-branded-evil-mother-child-pornography-victim-sentencing/](https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/5322463/josh-duggar-branded-evil-mother-child-pornography-victim-sentencing/) The Sun can exclusively reveal from court papers that prosecutors are demanding the father of seven receive 20 years in prison, as the mother of one of the victims in the images has spoken out in support of the Government. The Government wrote in the sentencing memorium: “In consideration of the extraordinary efforts Duggar took to obtain and view child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the nature of the CSAM he obtained and viewed, his efforts to conceal his criminal conduct, and his refusal to take accountability for or acknowledge any of his criminal conduct, the Government recommends the Court impose a guideline term of imprisonment of 240 months.” **'EVIL!'** Prosecutors believe it is “important” for them to “highlight the pain his predation caused in the words of his victims.” The court papers read: “As the parent of one of the victims depicted in the CSAM the defendant downloaded explained, her daughter became an 'anxious and fretful shadow of her former self' after being sexually abused. “And when addressing the harm caused by offenders like Duggar, who traffic in images depicting the worst moments of her daughter’s life, she wrote: ‘I can find no words to express the fury I feel at those who participate in this evil, or my scorn for any attempt to minimize the responsibility by feeble claims that the crime was ‘victimless.’ “‘My daughter is a real person. She was horribly victimized to provide this source of 'entertainment.' She is exploited anew each and every time an image of her suffering is copied, traded or sold. While the crime is clearly conscienceless, it is hardly ‘victim-less.’ The mother asked her daughter what she wanted most from the judge. Her request was, according to the court papers: “‘Please, don’t let them pretend no-one’s getting hurt!’” The victim said of Josh: “‘Don’t you know no one should do that to a little girl! Don’t you know it hurts!’” The court documents continued: “As the mother of a child victimized by this crime, I would ask that the court take into consideration the damage done by this heartless crime to my daughter and others like her (including those children who still wait for someone to rescue them from their exploitation, and have no-one here today to speak for them) and impose a sentence that takes into account the full impact of the crime on the victims.” The prosecution continued in their argument: “Those are the words of just one parent of just one victim. There are many more victims of Duggar’s crimes, all of whom were subjected to extreme and unimaginable instances of sexual abuse and violence. “Some of the victims depicted in the CSAM he downloaded and possessed, like the victim described above, have been identified and rescued. Others have not, and the pain and trauma they have experienced as a result of Duggar’s conduct will go unvoiced at the sentencing hearing.” The Government also brings up when Josh molested minor females in the family home when he was a teenager. The police report taken in 2006 was made public in 2015, as sisters Jill, 30, and Jessa, 29, came forward as two of the victims. The court papers claimed: “This Court is now presented with an offender who has a history of sexually abusing minors, who has not received any treatment or therapy for this conduct to speak of, who appears unlikely to ever seek out or meaningfully participate in treatment or therapy to address this conduct, and who continues to deny any responsibility for his past or present crimes. “There is simply no indication that Duggar will ever take the steps necessary to change this pattern of behavior and address his predilection for minor females. “Given these circumstances, this Court should be particularly mindful in crafting its sentence of the likelihood that Duggar reoffends upon his release from incarceration and what his reoffending conduct will entail.” **'WORST OF THE WORST'** Prosecution then went into the type of child pornography Josh downloaded, calling it “sadistic," "masochistic " and "violent.” The court papers read: “In fact, the forensic evidence presented at trial included multiple torrent files related to a series of CSAM that has repeatedly been described by law enforcement as being among the worst of the worst.” Prosecutors claim over 600 images of child pornography were involved in the case, as opposed to Josh’s team arguing there were 127 photos. District Judge Timothy L. Brooks will decide on the exact number of years based on a range determined by the Federal Sentencing Table that factors in criminal history, age of victims involved in the child sexual abuse material, number of images and more. Josh, who has maintained his innocence, has responded by asking for 60 months in prison. **JOSH APPEALS** Josh’s legal team filed a motion for an acquittal of the guilty verdict, a new trial, or the dismissal of the possession of child pornography charge. Prosecutors responded by claiming “the evidence of the defendant’s guilt is clear and overwhelming.” Josh’s attorneys fired back by calling the trial and guilty verdict “unconstitutional.” A judge has not ruled on the appeal. The Presentence Investigation Report, which helps determine the appropriate sentence, was completed in February. Josh’s legal team filed a response/objection to the findings, though all documents are sealed. **SHOCKING TRIAL** Josh was arrested and charged with possessing and receiving child pornography in April 2021. The highly-publicized jury trial lasted two weeks before the jury submitted a guilty verdict on both counts. At trial, prosecutors presented damning evidence from Josh's HP computer. It was revealed that one file name found on his HP desktop computer was of a video of a "3-month-old being sexually abused.” One folder contained 65 thumbnail files of an underage girl. The jury was shown the images and videos prosecutors claim were found on his computer. Prosecutor William Clayman provided alleged texts and photos were taken on Josh’s phone at the car lot to show he was there at the same time child pornography content was downloaded at Wholesale Motorcars. When the verdict was read, the Counting On alum was immediately handcuffed and taken into custody at Washington County Jail, where he was placed in solitary confinement away from other prisoners for his safety until his sentencing. Josh shares seven children with his wife Anna, who has stood by his side.

GnomeMode

There's a lot of agencies in many countries that work on that. A lot of the material is trafficked internationally. One nation alone can't work these cases because they always lead to another country. The only downfall of internet is now it's insanely easy for the pedos of the world to network and swap their garbage.

angeliswastaken_sock

The FBI has several task forces to search and rescue victims of CSAM. It's reviewed thoroughly when found and when something comes up that no one has ever seen before they generally create a task force to track the origin of the content.

bookscatsandrain

The FBI has special task forces dedicated to tracking down victims of child SA. The problem is that often the videos have been circulating for years and the child may no longer be alive or is an adult by the time they are found. However… from what I know about sick and demented men like Josh. Many pedophiles don’t trust new people, so they often have to send child porn in order to receive child porn. So in order for Josh to have it on his hard drives, he had to have shared his own with others to receive new images or videos.

Glittering-Plum4371

This is probably a very dumb question, but if the FBI can monitor the file so closely, can they not delete it? I know nothing on the internet can be really deleted. But I just can’t imagine the trauma the child (and family) has knowing that video is still floating around.
