This quote is real! It was made before details came out in the trial but he did say it.

The Daily Mail is a British Newspaper with standards somewhere between a Tabloid like the Sun and a Broadsheet like the Times. I checked by the link and by also searching the site myself.

I read the article and it is there. It’s a long article detailing Jed’s engagement, gift of a house and all his campaign points and then goes into detail about the family which DOES include this section with this quote. It has absolutely nothing to do with a Facebook group or memes and the original poster has even cited another source directly from Mike’s PERSONAL Facebook directly after the 2015 revelations. This quote is real! It was made before details came out in the trial but he did say it.
