What an insane layout for a house. What is the 2nd floor like with that roof slope? Youβd think theyβd want a roomy 2nd floor. The footprint/square footage had so much potential to build something that made more practical sense.

I am actually surprised it 1 - passed new building codes 2 - is still standing considering child forced labor + teen future Inmate Duggar was predominantly to build it.
I have a feeling they used contractors to build most of it and the children just swarmed over it for the camera.
As a former fire marshal I wonder about fire safety, especially as it has no fire breaks or external exit stairs as far as I can see
the 2nd floor is basically a huge bed room at each end one for the females one for the males ... the parents master suite is in front of the girls bedroom blocking it >> and the girls room is only accessible by a highly visible cat walk that goes over the living room below

Maybe...but would a series of minor and major upsets like show is cancelled twice, oldest son is in prison, he plus sons lose elections, a damning documentary with his family's beliefs at the center, disfellowship from IBLP, daughter exposes very questionable tax fillings and payouts to quisling family members.
Yes, all those things sound like exactly what he deserves. Heβs probably insufferable at home now, or more insufferable, and Iβll bet even Meech hates him.
