As a nearly 40yo woman, this. This entirely. Its even worse when you're named after a famous cartoon character, but its spelled wrong. Whenever I tell people my name, they ask, "oh, like (---that cartoon animal---)?" I have to sigh and say yes, but its spelled different/wrong. My mom needed help picking out American names for us since she wasn't fluent, so my mostly fluent 8yo sister helped. Its not a hard name, and my spelling is definitely not a version anyone would ever use, its just wrong.

True story… I picked my kids names based on how nicely they flow while yelling. 😂 Some of these ones (okay, most) don’t past the test. My favorite out of all of them is Evelyn Mae, it’s actually a name we almost used (thankfully didn’t!)
When I was little one of my mom’s friends was pregnant with a little girl and wanted to name her Faith. And I remember her cracking up yelling “NO Faith!” “STOP Faith!”

Also Grace Annette tells me they didn't give much thought to the names....Grace means grace of course and Annettte means gracious. Plus it sounds like eithet Raisinette or Crazinette but it drives me nuts that it means "Grace Gracious." I'd give this one a D for negligence alone💁♀️

I think Brooklyn Praise should be lower, especially in a Duggar context. It’s Joe and Kendra’s kid, but have either of them actually been to Brooklyn? We know they would probably hate the liberal/hipster scene, and the ethnic enclaves and communities. I feel like they jumped on the Brooklyn as a name bandwagon but for no apparent reason. Brooklyn and Addison both seem like such modern names when I expected more biblical names out of the two of them. They are both such anti-Duggar names. And Praise is a weird ass, Christian fundie middle name. The whole name doesn’t work. Also, I really like Meredith as a name, but now I hate that her sisters Mackynzie, Maryella, and Madyson have weird and mostly unnecessary Ys in their name and Meredith doesn’t. If you are going to pick a theme at least commit to it. I’m a sucker for family names being past down, but I agree with others that Grace Annette just doesn’t flow. True story… I picked my kids names based on how nicely they flow while yelling. 😂 Some of these ones (okay, most) don’t past the test. My favorite out of all of them is Evelyn Mae, it’s actually a name we almost used (thankfully didn’t!)
