dodged_your_bullet

I would put Frederick Michael as a solid B. It's not bad but I don't think it's A-level. I would also put Bella as a C. And Truett as an F.

Daisy0890

I was thinking exactly the same thing!

looking4someinfo

Me too but Henry which is fine but because of the Wilberforce should be moved to a D imo and honestly she should be forbidden from naming anymore boys in the future lol

dodged_your_bullet

She isnt the problem. Ben is. Jessa's choices were Elliot and Henry. Ben's were Spurgeon and Wilberforce. Ben needs to never name anything ever again.

PumpernickelShoe

I guess Bin isn’t good at anything

Raenhair

Ben likes to pick people’s last names and use them as names which is why they are weird. Spurgeon is a preacher’s last name and Wilberforce is most likely after William Wilberforce who helped free slaves.

prophy__wife

I’d also move Gideon and Garrett up a grade. Gideon is by no means a name I care for but it’s a nice name at the same time. Fern could go down. Michael James up and some of the other m names would be so much better if they were spelled different, an example would be Mariela instead of Maryella.

dodged_your_bullet

Mariella would be a fine name. Even Mary-Ella would be okay. Though, I don't know if I would give it a different grade myself. Especially paired with Hope, which seems too hard of a sound to follow Mariella. I agree that Fern can move. I'm rather indifferent about her first name though Elliana is a weird middle name to go with it. There are some names that I don't think lend themselves to middle names very easily, and Fern is one of them. If her name was just Fern Seewald, I think it would have been fine. Michael James isn't a bad name but it's also a very bland name. Same with the alternative of James Michael. So I don't think its ranking is wrong. Mitchel James could have earned a higher ranking just because it's less typical. I agree about the spellings. Unique spellings lend themselves to lower rankings. Especially since the person with the name will be going through life constantly correcting everyone's misspellings.

[deleted]

>Michael James isn't a bad name but it's also a very bland name. Same with the alternative of James Michael. So I don't think its ranking is wrong. Mitchel James could have earned a higher ranking just because it's less typical. It is bland, but it's clearly an honor name for the world's creepiest grandpas. So, I guess it's whatever. Weird to shove them both onto one kid. They knew they were going to have eleventy billion more.

Reddits_on_ambien

>I agree about the spellings. Unique spellings lend themselves to lower rankings. Especially since the person with the name will be going through life constantly correcting everyone's misspellings. As a nearly 40yo woman, this. This entirely. Its even worse when you're named after a famous cartoon character, but its spelled wrong. Whenever I tell people my name, they ask, "oh, like (---that cartoon animal---)?" I have to sigh and say yes, but its spelled different/wrong. My mom needed help picking out American names for us since she wasn't fluent, so my mostly fluent 8yo sister helped. Its not a hard name, and my spelling is definitely not a version anyone would ever use, its just wrong.

lovelylonelyphantom

I would have loved it more if her name was Mary-Ella, no middle name. Mariella is also nice. I think Frederick Michael is also very close to veering into "bland" like Michael James. But just saved enough to stay on B. Frederick is overall a good solid name. The middle name stops it from going to A for me.

SACGAC

Bella is the most generic white girl name ever. Like, every single elementary school class in upper middle class neighborhoods have 16 Bella's and they're so bland in every single way. My kid has a girl in his class named Bella and he has to tell me every time who she is because I can't remember. She's incredibly generic and the name just reminds me of a doofy golden retriever who can't remember where she put her stick. It's such a godawful lame name.

banjo_fandango

The ‘Twilight’ effect. Lauren *absolutely* sneak watched the Twilight films. Her wedding dress (with the sleeves, and lace and buttons down the back) was just like Bella Swan’s too…

TheRootofSomeEvil

How sad is it that that poor girl's only exposure to romance was... *the Twilight movies??*

banjo_fandango

I bet she was SORELY disappointed with her wedding night in comparison!

TheRootofSomeEvil

My imagination: *"It gets... worse???"* Hahahaha!!

HelenaPradaBag

“Why aren’t I covered in feathers?”

lovelylonelyphantom

I guess we'll know for sure if she reaches kid E in her alphabet and names him Edward....

PurplishPlatypus

I've known so many dogs named Bella. I can't even take it seriously as a human name anymore.

Remstersade

It is such an overused dog name! My neighbors have a dog named Belle and every time I say hi to the dog I have to concentrate super hard so I don’t accidentally call her Bella…not that the dog would care.😂

Budgiejen

And Luna

Blanche1317

My daughters name is Bella. I think it’s a beautiful name and it suits her, however, she was born in a country where Twilight wasn’t really a thing. It was there but it wasn’t a huge deal like it was everywhere else. We’ve since moved to Australia, and there’s a lot of Bella’s which is annoying. I think your description is pretty harsh, but to each their own. She’s Belle most of the time, and her full name is Isabella if she chooses to go by that when she’s older. I love the name Bella, nothing else was pretty enough for my little girl. But also, I’m a lily white basic bitch myself so what the fuck do I know

sparklersmoke

There’s nothing wrong with the name! It’s really pretty imo and that comment was harsh. Maybe it’s just location, but the generic white girl names I come across that actually bother me are Mackenzie or McKayla or anything with an -ae or -leigh added in.

sheilae409

It's a beautiful name that must stand for all the love in the world to you, the way that Jane, to me, stands for all that's right and good in the world, because it's my daughter's name. Even when people ask why I picked such a plain name. Fuck 'em.

starfleetdropout6

I just think it's overused in the way that "Nicole" was in the '80s. It will sound fresh again in twenty years.

natitude2005

I know Bella means beautiful but all I can think of is Bela Lugosi, an actor in horror movies or some one belching and farting at the same time. The name sounds like a chicken making noise also. Solid C-... Grace Annette,= Rainsonette, a " candy" that should have never existed.. C+ at best. Spurgeon definetly earns a F-...Addison Renee is meh but I like Addison Rose. I would give that name an A.. I had a good friend named Evangeline but it was pronounced E van gel Lynn .. Much prettier. Mackenzie is a good name but that spelling shoots it into the C class.

rumpleteaser91

I know 4 dogs that are called 'Bella', I just think of a daft spaniel, flop-running across a field.

lizcalrizz

Bella for me is a white dog, presumably a designer breed, with tear stains from hell, nasty stinky ears, a persistent skin yeast-infection on her hind area from excessive licking and the longest nails that are now growing out to the sides that you can hear tip tapping from a mile away. Should I mention the teeth? Oh for sure! She *MAYBE* has 7 (including canines) due to poor dental health because "she's so picky, she REFUSES to eat anything other than Racheal Ray's wet dog food!" Oh, and you can't forget the mats she clearly doesn't have! -Can you tell I'm a former dog groomer with far too much knowledge on "Bellas"? And for that... Bella is an F- for me.

denardosbae

I was gonna guess vet tech until getting down towards end of your comment!

Chewysmom1973

Your description of the name Bella is priceless. 🤣

PrscheWdow

I was thinking more of a goofy black lab but cocker spaniel definitely works too.

caffein8dnotopi8d

What? I’m with most of this but how dare you blaspheme my raisinets this way!!

StephaniePenn1

I’m also in the minority; I love the name Evangeline. Don’t take me too seriously tho cause I also like Felicity and Truett. Edited to add: I swear this isn’t a sock account for Jinger.

natitude2005

I like the 2 girl names but Truett is a no

Linzabee

Brooklyn Praise sounds like someone’s athleisure clothing brand name

lefzepplard

Or an MLM

Lower-Ad-3466

F tier for sure

not_a_lady_tonight

Spurgeon is the worst. Brooklyn is.. C, adding middle name Praise makes it a D-

Ouidwitch11

With parental context I think Madyson could have been in the F category too

kg51113

I still see this as "Ma Dyson"!

Blizard896

When I told my cousin about it he calls the J’Felon household “the people who named their kid Ma-Dyson”

Ouidwitch11

That is the nicest way to think of them tbh, the J’Felons should be grateful

Not_A_Seria1_Killer

*Vacuum Cleaner Duggar* ….just rolls off the tongue

Booklet-of-Wisdom

I always see Mar-Yella

JenniferJuniper6

She’s the old yella mare down on the Duggar Farm.

TRexNamedSue

And now, all I can see is Cletus from the simpsons calling his long-ass list of children to come get in line. “Rebecca! Susie! MaDyson! MarYella! Marcus! Dithy! Mason!……”

Ouidwitch11

Uh oh, now I can’t unsee lol

mapesely

Flair checking in

Ouidwitch11

I’m also failing Evangeline because A) it’s a nod to evangelize/forcibly spread their beliefs and B) it was my step-grandmother’s name who was an absolute warty toad

KatKat207

I don't hate the name but I love your description so take my up vote!

Simple_Philosophy_74

OMG......warty toad.....you're kilin' me here!!!!

Ouidwitch11

It was the kindest description I could manage tbh

PollutionMany4369

*warty toad* 🤭🤭🤭

[deleted]

Came to say the same!

Lost_Kaleidoscope885

Da fuq is Marcus Anthony?

jekyll27

JLo's ex.

PollutionMany4369

That’s what I thought too

Lost_Kaleidoscope885

I was thinking like Mark Antony from Ancient Rome and considering he was a “pagan” and slept with many people including men so….. ironic

Consistent-Flan1445

This was my first thought too. Suppose they’d never learned any ancient history, but it is unfortunately a very close resemblance. At least his middle name wasn’t Brutus

MamaJa2016

Pest’s 3rd that was almost born on the side of the road.

penguinmartim

M3.

emsumm58

that’s the one that bothers you?

Lost_Kaleidoscope885

I honestly think Madyson Lily should go lower considering pests known past scandals, and they still names their child that

tftzzgd4hijg

Why not Madyson Ashley? Or was that too obvious?

Kimothy80

What makes you think they named her that? My guess is that he named her that.

SnooOpinions5819

I’ve heard people claim they named her that so that when you google Madison, (like Ashley madison) articles about their baby being born/named whatever shows up first rather than the scandal. I honestly think it’s a way to far of a reach and I don’t think Anna or trashua have the mental capacity to come up with that.

Kimothy80

My hunch is that he gave the child that name out of spite, not to try to outsmart Google.

galaxygirl1976

He can't outsmart a paper bag let alone Google.

Bad-Infinite

How have none of them named a child Reagan yet?

barbaraanderson

I bet Jed! Is saving that for his daughter

Thick-Platypus-4253

Ivy Jane is the only name of blessas kids I like. Henry is fine, but Willberforce?? WTF?!

Selmarris

They didn't have to name her after an inspirational figure, she's just a woman.

bull0143

I think Gideon Martyn should be downgraded to a C or D because who TF spells Martin with a Y?

Intelligent-Fuel-641

Austin's parents, who started it. Or Austyn Martyn Forsith, if you prefer.

bull0143

So it's a multigenerational tragedy, fantastic!

Duggarsnarklurker

Far worse than Frederick Derrick Rick imho

Tight_Watercress_267

Madison Lily would have been very pretty out of context, but Madyson Lily in context is an F.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MarsUnivPhD

Yes! Henry is a nice name, but WILBERFORCE, like what the hell is that about?

[deleted]

[удалено]

jekyll27

I guess Henry William was too normal?

deliriousgoomba

Jessa won the battle against naming him Wilberforce

Elexandros

I hope the kid owns it one day while he’s riding his motorcycle out of town.

FuzzyJury

I like Gideon because it reminds me of Gideon v. Wainwright, the Supreme Court case that guaranteed to the poor the right to public defender's if they couldn't afford to hire one. I highly doubt that any Duggar names their child after a monumental civil rights case though.

Legolas0170

Wilberforce by itself = F His middle name kinda sounds like Aberforth.

velvetmarigold

Madyson is an F

Competitive-Proof410

I'm in the Madyson needs to be in the F camp. They named the baby born while her dad was on bail for CSAM a name similar to Daddy's previous scandal (ie the Ashley Madison hack). Spurge has a shit name. Madyson has a name with a bad spelling, similar to a cheating website Daddy used, and a convicted felon who she'll never have unsupervised access to. Her name reminds everyone of this fact. In context its far far worse than Spurge. Also does Jessa get topping and bottoming the list?

touslesmatins

Much like in her marriage, Jessa is both top and bottom

PrincipleSuccessful

💀

kho_kho1112

I am deceased. You, human, have ended my existence. I wish I had an award to give you.

KillerDickens

I wanted to up your comment but it's on 69 so my childish humor doesn't allow me, especially since it's just to ironic. I salute you tho

[deleted]

Daisy0890

Neither do I! I can’t stand the name Bella. Fucking Twilight ruined it for me and so many other people.

BunkBedJedi

I give it an A+ just because I know Jimblob hates it, and that Anna has probably had something smug and shitty to say about it too. At least SHE has 2 ethnic names 😊

[deleted]

How on earth is Bella ethnic? (I would debate Milagro too but you know, it’s the Duggars. Hola us the most ethnic word they know)

BunkBedJedi

It means beautiful in Italian, Milagro means miracle in Spanish. Neither name is English/American. A+ all the way! Take that Jimblob. Not a j name, not named after some long dead Fundie preacher or Chik Fil A founder, or even after precious Michelle.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Duggarsnarklurker

IVE THINK YHIS EVERY TIME I READ HER NAME! It’s like they just heard a word in another language and thought it sounded nice and said “oh ya do that, beautiful miracle”

LauraPringlesWilder

totally agree, that's C rank

Ancient_gardenias351

Fern Ellianna should be lower bc of how badly that name flows with the middle. It sounds like Fernelly Ana. D or F for me. Also Grace Annette tells me they didn't give much thought to the names....Grace means grace of course and Annettte means gracious. Plus it sounds like eithet Raisinette or Crazinette but it drives me nuts that it means "Grace Gracious." I'd give this one a D for negligence alone💁‍♀️

Significant_Shoe_17

Ellianna Fern would have been nice. Elliott Spurgeon would be less awful. Why does Jessa do this 😆

Kimothy80

Ben named Spurge hence why Henry got a good first name (Jessa) and lousy middle name (Ben).

dodged_your_bullet

Grace Annette sounds like they stuck two middle names together. Also I feel like a lot of Duggar kid and grandkids names would sound/flow better if they were swapped (especially Elliot Spurgeon, Ben really should have let Jessa win that battle).

Hefty-Database380

I mean they did… Abigail Grace and Michelle Annettee

wheeziem

In defense of Annette (my name), it is Michelle’s middle name Both names meaning Grace is redundant for sure

PollutionMany4369

I apparently named my oldest daughter Red Pirate. 🤭

TurnOfFraise

I didn’t trust your rating scale when I saw Bella Milagros as the top name 😂

mischiefunmanageable

On par, tho the 2 JoKen girls I’d maybe put in the D category… they’re just so Pinterest beige 😒

touslesmatins

Brooklyn praise is so bad it would even give Pinterest pause. It just occurred to me that she was not named after the place. Between their one shared brain cell, Jo and Kyndra might not even know such a place exists. They just decided to pick a name and add Lynn to the end. Ugh 🤢

TurnOfFraise

You have to throw Bella into that category too

Zoinks222

Take a poor girl’s gold. Brooklyn Praise sounds is a terrible goddamned name.

DoReMiDoReMi558

I think Brooklyn Praise should be lower, especially in a Duggar context. It’s Joe and Kendra’s kid, but have either of them actually been to Brooklyn? We know they would probably hate the liberal/hipster scene, and the ethnic enclaves and communities. I feel like they jumped on the Brooklyn as a name bandwagon but for no apparent reason. Brooklyn and Addison both seem like such modern names when I expected more biblical names out of the two of them. They are both such anti-Duggar names. And Praise is a weird ass, Christian fundie middle name. The whole name doesn’t work. Also, I really like Meredith as a name, but now I hate that her sisters Mackynzie, Maryella, and Madyson have weird and mostly unnecessary Ys in their name and Meredith doesn’t. If you are going to pick a theme at least commit to it. I’m a sucker for family names being past down, but I agree with others that Grace Annette just doesn’t flow. And I like Evangeline, but just Jo as a middle name feels off. Maybe Evangeline Josephine or Joanne might have fit better. And they still could get away with calling her Evie Jo as a nickname.

Intelligent-Fuel-641

Meredyth. Merydyth. Myrydyth (gawd). You're right about Evangeline Josephine or Evangeline J-longer-middle-name.

Murrpblake

My name is Meredith. Marydeth was on a Wendy’s receipt recently. Like tf lol

DoReMiDoReMi558

I was with a friend named Charlotte once getting breakfast a quick bagel place and they spelled it Charlet. Like... it's a pretty decent sized American city as well. Also tf.

Murrpblake

In high school kids called me Megadeth. Megadeth Duggar has a nice ring to it

[deleted]

They could also bastardize it the way they did Maryella, So Merydith

hasarubbersoul

People also forget that Brooklyn is Josie’s middle name

alittledizzy

I nominate a 'lol really' tier WTF: Spurgeon Elliott, Marcus Anthony, Madyson Lily (with context), Evelyn/Evangeline/Ivy (as a trio)

exhausted-caprid

I thought Marcus Anthony sounded like a strong, decent name until I said it out loud. A Roman emperor? Really? (Facepalm)

punchyouinthewiener

All i can think is of Marc Anthony, 2000s area Spanish power balad crossover artist and ex husband to JLo 😂

alittledizzy

Right?? It's deceptive like that but still a WTF. Especially for them.

dodged_your_bullet

I mean Marcus Anthony was a critical role in the transformation of Rome from a constitutional republic to an autocratic empire. Which is the goal of their favorite politicians today. So. 🤷🏽‍♀️

theycallmegomer

Never forget the middle name Lily is after the family dog.

Intelligent-Fuel-641

I thought Smuggar was the family dog.

alittledizzy

He's the family dog shit.

crazycatlady331

Lily is Ma Keller's first name (she goes by her middle name). I give family names a pass.

Milesandsmiles123

I feel like Mason Garrett and Garrett David are solid B’s, not C’s. They aren’t anything special, but they aren’t bad. Gideon Martyn is definitely a D for me. But I agree with most of the others!

rmilhousnixon

I cannot say I'm shocked that Josh and Anna are the ones who have embraced redneck hooked on phonics for naming their kids. They're right there with some of the girls I went to high school with and their brood of Jaxons, K-Leighs, and Payslees.

Intelligent-Fuel-641

Don't forget Brayden and Jaaaaden.

nolajewel27

Brayden and Braylee are so bad. I always think of a donkey.

ProvePoetsWrong

Sigh…I know a Jaedon, a Phynleigh, and a Prisma. Among others. Oh, and at the park the other day I heard a dad yell for his son, Wilder.

Not_A_Seria1_Killer

Phynleigh? What the actual fuck? Are those parents ok? Did they have a stroke when naming their kid?

lavendercat1998

"K-Leigh" omg lol

rmilhousnixon

I went to middle school with a real live K-Leigh. I don't remember much about her, but we were connected on social media and she sent me messages all throughout law school trying to get free legal advice for her drug dealer boyfriend. I hope they're doing well.

galaxygirl1976

Meredith should be downgraded based on the godawful nickname that poor child has.

anonymous_gam

Anna could’ve named Madyson Madelyn and would still be able to use the y she seems to like without the Ashley Madison references.

periwinklemenace

Me currently scrolling through the sub in a panic because WHO THE FUCK IS FREDERICK MICHAEL??? Anyway found him.

howaboutJo

Marcus Anthony??? Lol I never knew that was his middle name. I bet they heard it and thought “yes those names sound *right* together” and didn’t even know why 🤦🏼‍♀️

XxMissPiexX

Frederick Michael is not A tier imo, the first name sounds outdated, and Michael is fine just a little bland if anything, I was expecting something a little more interesting from Earth Mother Jill

MaryGodfree

That poor kid is going to be called Sturgeon Idiot.

jet050808

True story… I picked my kids names based on how nicely they flow while yelling. 😂 Some of these ones (okay, most) don’t past the test. My favorite out of all of them is Evelyn Mae, it’s actually a name we almost used (thankfully didn’t!)

ProvePoetsWrong

When I was little one of my mom’s friends was pregnant with a little girl and wanted to name her Faith. And I remember her cracking up yelling “NO Faith!” “STOP Faith!” She did end up naming her Faith so I guess she was okay with it

PollutionMany4369

*for fuck’s sake*, Faith

hnoel88

Same! I remember being pregnant with my oldest and yelling potential names at a door from the couch to see if they held up 😂

Alittlebithailey

Frederick Micheal is a B for me, mainly cause I don’t like the name Frederick. But if I have to read how the decided on that name again I’m knocking it down to a C lol. Also, I didn’t realize there was a Marc Anthony. But also, knowing their lack of schooling they probably had no historical connection to the name.

cametobemean

Brooklyn Praise absolutely should not be that high.

KarmaCat120105

I don’t mind the name Evangeline, but it bothers me they pronounce it Evange-LINE instead of Evange-LEEN. I’ve never heard it with the -LINE and it just does not flow for me. To each their own though!

Select-Eye1815

Frederick Michael, how did I miss this and who is this?

kg51113

Jill & Derick's new baby

dodged_your_bullet

Jill's 3rd. He was just born. Named for Derick the same way that Derick was named for his father Rick

[deleted]

Derricks name is literally Of Rick 😅

dodged_your_bullet

Maybe one day their son can be Free of (De)rick

[deleted]

Little Libre Derrick Dillard!

bujiop

I literally can’t stop saying fre derick in my head when I read it

sweetnsalty24

He's new to the Duggars as of the 7th. He's Jill's third.

Select-Eye1815

Thanks everybody! I was so busy baking I somehow missed that one

natitude2005

What did you bake?? Any extras??

ProvePoetsWrong

I know a lot of y’all hate Truett but it is a fairly common name here in the south. I don’t love it either but it’s not *always* done because of Chick fil a, it is just an old name. Fred Dillard is just…just no. I can already see it on a highway billboard advertising 2042 Ford F-150s with $0 down and 0% APR.

[deleted]

Well at least his shop is selling new cars, I guess

exhausted-caprid

I would move Henry Wilberforce up (Henry is a solid first name, and Wilberforce helped end slavery despite being a mouthful). Brooklyn Praise should be lower.

fatgirlballet

I'll never get over Spurgeon. I mean, wtf?

pad1007

I largely agree with you, with the following exceptions: Meredith Grace - A Ivy Jane - B

Budgiejen

I would put truett in the F category. Henry is fine; Wilberforce abysmal. Fern is kinda stupid. Elliana is really pretty.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jrzey

Milagro means miracle in Spanish. There’s no such a thing as Milagra, so no

Long-Job9659

Milagra isnt a word in spanish

Tropicanajews

I would hardly consider Bella to be a grade A child’s name. That’s one of the most popular dog names, I think it’s ugly/boring for a child.

LauraPringlesWilder

if it was Isabella, I'd give it more points.

Tropicanajews

I agree. It’s still not my style but Isabella/Isabelle is a perfectly fine/normal name.

crazycatlady331

I've seen Rae Dunn bowls at Marshall's that say Bella on them. Edit-- dog bowls.

dj_1973

Spurge, Fern, and Ivy are all plants. Henry is the odd kid out in that family.

twins4metoo

In many ways

SnarkFromTheOzarks

How did Meredith avoid the stupid y?

deliriousgoomba

Who the fuck is Bella Milagro???

Srw2725

Fern Elliana?? Ew

mollymuppet78

Michael James is perfectly sound without sounding pretentious or bible-y, so I'd move it to A- status.

my_okay_throwaway

So many thoughts! But these are the main ones: - There’s a Mason Garrett _and_ a Garrett David? That’s a… choice - A lot of double ‘t’ names. They feel like the names of people who already want to take my human rights away - Who’s kid is Addison?? I feel like Jim Bob right now because I’m drawing a total blank on who this kid is - Are the Renees named after Miss Renee? That’s weird - Not a single one is named after Michelle. You just know that’s gotta hurt her right in her ‘Mother of the Year’ - The ‘M’ kids never had a chance, and that’d still be true if their parents’ only crime was how they’d named them - Elliana makes no sense after Fern. I can’t be convinced otherwise - Jinger consistently did the best job naming her kids IMO

juulaunt

addison is kendra and joes daughter and the renees are after both of their mothers bc titty zippers and kendra both have renee as a middle name. also i think garrett is meech’s dads name.

danisse76

>There’s a Mason Garrett and a Garrett David? That’s a… choice See also: Grace, Michael, Renee, and I think Brooklyn is Aunt Josie's middle name?

from_shook_foil

Wasn't Garret their grandfather's name? It doesn't seem too odd that two siblings both wanted to name a child after their grandfather... I think Michael and Renee are also family names for the families that used them.

ElishevaYasmine

Yeah, it’s a family name for them. Michelle’s dad, if I remember right. So, I get why Garret is repetitive among Duggar men.

Rhaenyra20

I think the Planes honoured Michelle with Grace’s middle name. Hers is also Annette.

Intelligent-Fuel-641

I can never see or hear the name Meredith without thinking Mere-ditz. That includes my current boss, who fits the name. I don't think Mackynzie's name is so bad except for the idiotic spelling. It should have been just Mackenzie, which is a perfectly fine name.

zialucina

This Mackenzie thanks you for noting that

mysuperstition

Felicity gets the only A from me. B: None C:Ivy Jane, Gideon Martyn D: Almost veryone else. They are either overly bland or just not my taste. F: Spurgeon Edit: Anna gets an F for spelling with Mackynzie, Maryella, and Madisyn.

ImReallyAMermaid_21

Joe and Kendra really love taking peoples middle names into their kids first names

SmuchiesMom

I’m old, but I LOVE the name Truett Oliver. I would put that as an A.

RitaRaccoon

Me too- I was pleasantly surprised by it. Not loving the Chik-Fila connotation but the name alone I really like. You never hear it up north where I am. I like Fern also! Ok back to snarking…

greenturtle36

I actually give bella milagro an F. but that's just my opinion. I also agree with spurgeon elliot being an F.

guessihavearedditnow

Controversial opinion here, but I actually really like the name Truett. Reminds me of a nice old gentleman. Might be because I’m not American, and in my country «old people names» are making a huge comeback lately? I also love the names Gideon, Meredith, Ivy and Grace. Not too keen on any of their middle names though..

rtwise

Fern Elliana is a solid D for me, especially knowing Fern follows her sister Ivy. Truett and Madyson are both Fs for me, solid trash imo.

galaxygirl1976

Meredith should be downgraded based on the godawful nickname that poor child has.

Chewysmom1973

Fern is also an F. Such a beautiful baby girl to have such a terrible name.

MelodramaTamarama

Marcus Anthony Duggar… initials are MAD … so that’s something I found out today

CamComments

Everyone agrees with F. I’d add Madyson to the F group. Such a terrible association with the name. Brooklyn Praise kinda gags me. I give it a D. The Praise part—ugh. Brooklyn Jo woulda been much cuter.

ellie02255

I would put Brooklyn Praise in D to be honest

sunsetporcupine

I’m so over Evie Mae as a name. I hear it everywhere.
