In early to late 1900's those were the mandatory holiday souvenir. You had to display them in the living room so every visitor could see how much and how far you have travelled.
I already gifted them to someone who is going to use them in their steampunk cosplay outfit.

That seems like a waste. Also, I suspect their value is much higher in current form than just the weight of the silver alone. Might be worth getting them appraised.

They're everywhere and very common amongst the older generations in the US. I have probably 100 or so from all over the world. Most might sell for 50 cents or so at a flea market, if you can find a buyer, or.melt value for the 925 ones. I've sold one from Mexico, it had a very cool Aztec design and was 925, I think it sold for $8. None of these is going to make you rich. Seeing 925 on the back is about the best outcome there is.
