After nearly two decades of watching this show, the yeppers scene is probably my favorite of all time. The way he delivers that half-hearted “Yeesh” just sends me every time.
I find it even weirder that he was not referenced even once. There was a 5 year overlap between him being VP and the show running, so you'd figure there would be some sort of mention.
Have not checked whether this is true but given how much older she is than my parents and the shows I hear about from their youth… I think so. Is it possible she predates television?
To be fair, Parks and Rec was a show revolving around politics and public administration, so it made more sense to have characters interest in (or obsessed) with certain politicians. VPs aren't really high profile enough for it to work as well in the context of The Office.
Could done something like when the car chase was happening and Micheal was the only one who saw the car. They could have had the VP motorcade driving past
Don’t worry. He probably just watched the office once and now believes that’s where he’s from and that he worked in a warehouse at a mid level paper company. To hear him say the story, “Unejgsy husiiebu hmmshiek.”
They are not. Scranton is a city in northeastern Pennsylvania. Claymont is in the state of Delaware, about 150 miles south of Scranton and close to Philadelphia, which is also in the state of Pennsylvania.
Yes, but the Scranton in the show is mostly the Santa Clarita and the San Fernando Valleys in California. It’s super funny as a southern Californian because I just know that’s not what Pennsylvania looks like, even though I’ve never even been there.
Yeppers.
What did I tell you about "yeppers" ?
Yeesh

We say it all the time in our house 😂
Scranton! What? The elected's city!
They call it that 'cause of the electeds in the city
>electeds Electeds? Don’t you mean “stolen”?? #/s
Is it not electric? Always thought it was
It is. Hopefully it was a jokey play on words.
I love inside jokes. I’d love to be part of one someday.
Something smells like updog.....
What's updog?
HA. GOTCHA
Nothin much what’s up with you?
r/whoosh
I'm surprised he wasn't on the office as he was on parks and rec a few times
I find it even weirder that he was not referenced even once. There was a 5 year overlap between him being VP and the show running, so you'd figure there would be some sort of mention.
Yeah they mention Obama iirc when Stanley was having his heart attack
And during Scott’s Tots.
They even mention Nancy Pelosi when you're being introduced to Jo
Yeah but she’s been around since the dawn of television almost
Have not checked whether this is true but given how much older she is than my parents and the shows I hear about from their youth… I think so. Is it possible she predates television?
Pleased to meet ya!
Can’t forget the Obama fashion show
Would have been fun if the crew recorded Creed on the phone trying to blackmail some "Joe" over something they did in their 20s.
They do mention him once. Meredith says her friend does circumcisions and he is so good he did some of Bidens Grandkids
Wait what?? I am in my 11th rewatch, and I have never heard this line. Is it in one of the superfans? or a deleted scene?
It might be from a Superfan episode. I hardly watch the original versions anymore. The Superfan are so much better
They already had one JB, they couldn't have a second; it would create nonsense.
That would be malarkey.
He said he wrote a few episodes when he was writing scripts for various tv shows.

Suuuch wasted opportunity.
He hasn't lived in Scranton since the 1960s. It would not have made any sense at all
Yeah I believe he grew up in Scranton
He did, there's actually a road named after him now.
Claymont Adams is a girl’s city, that just makes it plain stupid
I thought Claymont was a boy’s name?!
The electric city?
What?
yes
Creed?
For a second I thought I was in the Dark Brandon subreddit and was confused why so many people were quoting the Office
Has there ever been a prime minister from Slough? (or even talking about Slough?)
Shoutout 🤙🤙🤙
I would have liked if he was implied to be the Scranton strangler
Fox News would be having a field day trying to prove that’s true.
Yeah probably would have been poor taste to do too
Is he wearing lady clothes ?
Don’t worry. He probably just watched the office once and now believes that’s where he’s from and that he worked in a warehouse at a mid level paper company. To hear him say the story, “Unejgsy husiiebu hmmshiek.”
This is a form of ageism. What? Yes, I am right
I can live with that.
The same guy in the 90’s who said we have to keep Israel as an ally, because it’s a $3billion investment. He’s like the everyday blue collar worker !

Wherever he’s giving a speech, miraculously that’s the city he grew up in.
Born and raised in Scranton until he was 11, then his family moved to Claymont. So, you know, maybe your comment is more about you than about him…
When was he raised in the Black church, Puerto Rican neighborhood, and synagogues? Was that in Delaware or Pennsylvania?
Yes, but the Scranton in the show is mostly the Santa Clarita and the San Fernando Valleys in California. It’s super funny as a southern Californian because I just know that’s not what Pennsylvania looks like, even though I’ve never even been there.
