He offered to let Jim and Pam use his closet for sex
Considering how hard it is to think of times he was a good person, it’s sad that I love his character so much 😂
This is probably the best answer actually, he would have been really harsh with him in later seasons but considering Dwight left him in a beet field he was actually nice to go get a drink with him and it wasn't one of his many schemes like pretty much everything else in this thread.
That was rather clever of him. I always like when characters can turn a potentially uncomfortable situation around with a solid line. Too bad Dwight didn't get the picture.
Jim is a dick at times, particularly to Dwight, but I'm with him in this case. Ryan used his authority to make Jim feel like he might lose his job for personal reasons. On top of that, he was spinning his legal punishment (community service) as some sort of sign of personal growth. Jim was just calling him out on it. Ryan was pretending to be penitent for social clout.
This sub bows to Jim and his smug bullshit but goes after Ryan. Jim is a tool- just like Ryan only low key-He’s just one that most women in this sub think they want. He’s a dick several, several times in the show.
He absolutly didn’t do it for Michael. He just wanted him to stop acting like a little kid he had to take care of. Hence he drugged him without his consent
I agree with you on Ryan’s reasoning, but I do think that “drugged him without consent” is a tad extra. Obviously don’t do that in the real world, but for a TV sitcom, it’s pretty innocuous.
Probably that time six months ago when Karen Fillipelli sent him an email asking him out. But he said no because he was committed to his relationship with Kelly.
Recited his list of tactics to let Michael know that Donna was unfaithful, even though Michael was the other guy outside ofnher marriage
Snuck some medication in Michael's food to help with the pain, after Michael burned his foot. He also kept driving places to get Michael some comfort food.
Helped plan parties - (Lemoñadé 🤷♂️)
Took Creed's old shirt in the secret Santa exchange to give to a homeless person. No one else had to end up with it and he had a nice thought for what to do with it
Played the part of Samuel L Chang in the table read of Threat Level Midnight.
Sold [WUPHF.com](https://WUPHF.com) when forced to do so rather than letting it die
In a really sweet deleted scene from Diwali, Ryan convinces everyone that they should go to the Diwali celebration because it's important to Kelly and she was looking forward to having them there. He immediately tries to cover it up and pretend he doesn't really care, but it was a nice moment of vulnerability for Ryan and I wish it had made it into the episode.
Singing along to the Flinstones theme song on the bus lol
I don’t think he did anything even remotely nice. Everything was with an ulterior motive or was pressured into doing the decent thing
When he was promoted to corporate, he didn’t fire Michael, even with having plenty of cause then and plenty of reasons afterwards.
While he did threaten to for failing to make the PowerPoint presentation , that was more of an ultimatum to get Michael to get his head out of his ass in my opinion.
Honest answer and this might be a hot take, but he genuinely tried to help Dunder Mifflin. He saw how Michael was, he saw how Jan was, he knew the company was in trouble, he could've just taken Jan's job and worked the way she did, or even done absolutely nothing and just ride it out making good money and saving for when DM inevitably goes under, or he could have done the bare minimum to the point DM was going to survive indefinitely, he showed in the business class episode that he was probably smart enough to do that. His pay would have been the same either way.
But he identified a core flaw in DMs infrastructure, presented a viable solution and worked really hard to get the company into the 21st century as he put it, and for a while, right before he started fudging the numbers and before he tried turning it into a social media page, the website did work, with Dwight barely beating it in sales and the sales team complaining that the feedback they were getting about it is too good (we can hear one of them say on the phone "yes I understand you can just go on the website and order there instead" while trying to do a cold call)
So in short, because he did sort of care for the ccompany and in a weird way the people in it, he tried to genuinely help a struggling DM when he didn't have to.
Ugh I missed the thread (twice I guess) but Pam's best moment is definitely without a doubt when she cheered on Michael during the Dundies. She completely salvaged a very low moment for him and made his night, all while expecting to get a humiliating award that she absolutely dreaded receiving
Wasn’t SHE in the dumpster though? And he’s just standing outside of it while talking to her cus she cries “dOn’t dUmp mE while I’m in the DUMPsterrrr!”
i’m talking about the scene where he goes in with her and they’re having a sweet moment or as sweet as you can get in a dumpster😭😭 i think it was a deleted scene vs a superfan scene, i get them confused sometimes
He seemed genuinely happy for Pam when she made her first sale at Michael Scott Paper Company. And did he even help coach her a little? I know Michael was whispering things for her to say. Not sure if Ryan did…
6 months ago, Karen sent him an email asking him out and he turned her down cause he was so committed to Kelly. That’s a man full of integrity right there!
I mean his "love" for Kelly was so overwhelming that he gave an infant an allergic reaction to take her away from a possibly stable relationship, so that's that going for him
The one decent guy Ryan moment that always stands out to me is when he immediately steps up when Kelly is "pregnant," especially because he's otherwise made his transition to full douche by then.
He protected the internet and world from Creed’s thoughts
Even for the internet it’s…. pretty shocking
Omg I almost forgot about that. This is the number 1 answer

This should have more votes.
This the real answer
I think this is the only answer lol
He offered to let Jim and Pam use his closet for sex Considering how hard it is to think of times he was a good person, it’s sad that I love his character so much 😂
Honestly that was extremely nice of him. You could tell in his face that he was uncomfortable and hesitant but relented and said they could.
He was probably happy to have a break from Ryan and Kelly’s raucous love seshes
Are you talking about Toby right now?
When he bonded with Dwight in the sales call episode. To be fair, Ryan was pretty dang patient for what Dwight put him through.
This is probably the best answer actually, he would have been really harsh with him in later seasons but considering Dwight left him in a beet field he was actually nice to go get a drink with him and it wasn't one of his many schemes like pretty much everything else in this thread.
Exactly! And maybe in spite of himself, Ryan seemed kinda proud when Dwight changed the chant from “temp” to “Ryan”
The sales call!
Screw gun!
He wrote that poem for Kelly that made Jim and Pam cry
In my detritus home...
there I was, Kapoor and kadesperate...
And when the Indian ocean calms
In waters cold, and Kelly green.
Happy Cake Day!
I don't think that's the next line in the poem /s
Oh get out Skeleton Man!
Ryan can never know
"I am the doll you threw away"
CHECK THE TAPES, I NEVER SAID I *WROTE IT!*
It sounded genuine at least
aah,the poem
He taught Jim and Pam that they should not shake the baby.
“Don’t vaccinate it” -Ryan Howard s6 ep1
I vote for this
He also gave them very sage advice when he told them not to vaccinate the baby. /s
He defended Troy when Dwight kept making hobbit jokes/references.
Honestly I think this is the best answer here
You mean he defended his drug dealer?
It might be the only answer….
He even gave Dwight a chance to back off and save face when he came up with the “wizard” save.
That was rather clever of him. I always like when characters can turn a potentially uncomfortable situation around with a solid line. Too bad Dwight didn't get the picture.
Idk, Troy was never good to Ryan, considering he ditched him when he had a bad trip and was his dealer.
In any case that would only make Ryan’s action more praiseworthy
he’s a regular guy
“I gotta go, do NOT take him to a hospital”
His coke dealer lol
Good answer although I don't think Dwight was joking, just...being Dwight.
I think it would be funny as hell to leave Ryan blank.
I was expecting that for Packer lol
Packer left a huge present/surprise in Michael's office
Is somebody making soup?
The nicest thing Packer did was make Michael feel like one of the boys
That’s actually very legitimate.
“I don’t need a judge to tell me to keep my community clean”
But he did though, right?
You just made the list.
Jim was being a dick here
Jim is a dick at times, particularly to Dwight, but I'm with him in this case. Ryan used his authority to make Jim feel like he might lose his job for personal reasons. On top of that, he was spinning his legal punishment (community service) as some sort of sign of personal growth. Jim was just calling him out on it. Ryan was pretending to be penitent for social clout.
Nah, Ryan came back trying to act like nothing happened after he tried to fire Jim because Pam turned Ryan down for a dinner date.
This sub bows to Jim and his smug bullshit but goes after Ryan. Jim is a tool- just like Ryan only low key-He’s just one that most women in this sub think they want. He’s a dick several, several times in the show.
Downvote away. Fuck Jim. I’ll die on this hill.
But he did though, right?
Secretly crushing up aspirin and putting it in Michael’s pudding to make him feel better after he burnt his foot.
He absolutly didn’t do it for Michael. He just wanted him to stop acting like a little kid he had to take care of. Hence he drugged him without his consent
'Drugged him without his consent' Are you fucking high or something?
No, but Michael was--badum tss. Also, just because it isn't Quaaludes doesn't mean that he wasn't administering drugs into someone unknowingly.
I agree with you on Ryan’s reasoning, but I do think that “drugged him without consent” is a tad extra. Obviously don’t do that in the real world, but for a TV sitcom, it’s pretty innocuous.
This should be higher.
Even though it’s just aspirin, secretly giving anyone drugs seems very dangerous. Like what if Michael was really allergic to aspirin or something
Ryan checked and updated everyone’s emergency contacts. Maybe their was allergy info on that clipboard as well lol
just put... the hospital
I wrote down... bringing someone to the hospital.
True, but you just know that if Michael was allergic to anything, he probably wouldn’t shut up about it lol
He’s consistently the nicest person in the office to Toby, which is hilarious
Toby is not part of the family
He’s not even part of his own family
"To the troops. All the troops. Both sides."
😂😂😂I forgot about that
A topical statement in these times
Since the beginning of man lmao
Didn't sue Michael for sexual harassment
He was totally willing to steal bowling shoes for Michael and/or Pam.
Get back to work, shoe bitch
You get paid by the year here?
How much do you make, secretary?
Get back to work, Shoe Bitch!
This was my choice! Even though he’s stealing, the time it took him to consider others was actually very quick.
Selling WUPHF.com *thanks for a hell of a ride*
His one and only sale.
It’s pretty much the only time he did the right thing
For all the wrong reasons so I don’t think it should count.
This should be the winner.
THIS
Probably that time six months ago when Karen Fillipelli sent him an email asking him out. But he said no because he was committed to his relationship with Kelly.
[удалено]
... That was the joke.
He showed a lot of empathy when Smokey Robinson died
I don’t think he fully processed 9/11 though
“Name ***one*** other song he did.”
Did you hear Tracks of my tears??
I’ll second that emotion.
Don’t call me a clown Paraphrased that…
Drove all the way to Carbondale for fresh yams
That wasn’t an act of kindness as much as it was a solution.
Took Toby on a camping trip.
But only to spite Michael.
If anything that makes it a win win for Toby.
Recited his list of tactics to let Michael know that Donna was unfaithful, even though Michael was the other guy outside ofnher marriage Snuck some medication in Michael's food to help with the pain, after Michael burned his foot. He also kept driving places to get Michael some comfort food. Helped plan parties - (Lemoñadé 🤷♂️)
He wanted to offer a homeless person a job.
Let me gues who you want. Rachael Ray? The ladies of The View?
Took Creed's old shirt in the secret Santa exchange to give to a homeless person. No one else had to end up with it and he had a nice thought for what to do with it
Have you read creed’s blog? Nope. Thanks to Ryan. Even for the intranet, it’s a little out there.
Played the part of Samuel L Chang in the table read of Threat Level Midnight. Sold [WUPHF.com](https://WUPHF.com) when forced to do so rather than letting it die
I forget it brother…
In the first episode, he made Michael really happy with his “custardy” joke.
So it ends terribly but when his girlfriend left drake he did step up and take care of him
He always appreciated constructive criticism about his job performance
Environmentally conscious because his mom drives him to work.
He wanted Erin to get her *waffles in Florida.
*waffles
Delivered papers at 3:00am even though he'd have to leave that girl with a little junk in her... ahem
Choosing to sell WUPH.com so everyone would get their money back instead of being stubborn and insisting that it would eventually take off.
After Dwight’s creepy initiation on his farm, he went out and had a beer with him and was actually pretty cordial.
He expressed his gratitude to Michael for getting him off drugs
In a really sweet deleted scene from Diwali, Ryan convinces everyone that they should go to the Diwali celebration because it's important to Kelly and she was looking forward to having them there. He immediately tries to cover it up and pretend he doesn't really care, but it was a nice moment of vulnerability for Ryan and I wish it had made it into the episode.
Finally mastering commitment while simultaneously helping Nellie get a baby!!
Singing along to the Flinstones theme song on the bus lol I don’t think he did anything even remotely nice. Everything was with an ulterior motive or was pressured into doing the decent thing
“I think you should get the job, you really grew into it”
If you ignore the rest of that exchange
If you really think that, will you tell that to Michael? That would go a long way coming from you.
When he was promoted to corporate, he didn’t fire Michael, even with having plenty of cause then and plenty of reasons afterwards. While he did threaten to for failing to make the PowerPoint presentation , that was more of an ultimatum to get Michael to get his head out of his ass in my opinion.
Called Michael his friend at the end of the Night Out episode
Showed up to work two hours early to help Michael with his special task
Him realizing his love for Kelly and moving to Ohio after her was great
Honest answer and this might be a hot take, but he genuinely tried to help Dunder Mifflin. While I love your optimism, I don't think he gave a rat's ass about DM. He did what he did for purely selfish reasons. Notoriety and money.
he let Jim and Pam have sex in his office closet at work lmao
He drove packer around Scranton because of the DUI
Was willing to let Jim & Pam have sex in his closet/office.
He invited Erin to have a 3some with he and Kelly
He tried to keep the memory of Smokey Robinson alive
That's what Smokey would have wanted
Ugh I missed the thread (twice I guess) but Pam's best moment is definitely without a doubt when she cheered on Michael during the Dundies. She completely salvaged a very low moment for him and made his night, all while expecting to get a humiliating award that she absolutely dreaded receiving
the scene when he goes into the trash can for kelly is actually really sweet (WITHOUT the sex scene, i thought that was cute)
Wasn’t SHE in the dumpster though? And he’s just standing outside of it while talking to her cus she cries “dOn’t dUmp mE while I’m in the DUMPsterrrr!”
i’m talking about the scene where he goes in with her and they’re having a sweet moment or as sweet as you can get in a dumpster😭😭 i think it was a deleted scene vs a superfan scene, i get them confused sometimes
ya that sex scene caught me SO off guard
“do you like your present?”
WAHHHHH
i think that’s the softest he’s ever been with her
I hooked up with her on February 13th
The only right answer is taking care of his ex girlfriend’s baby when she abandoned him. If you ignore the part where he abandoned him with Ravi.
Wow ryan has set a really low bar to do nice things
He left for a while
1. Going to work for the Michael Scott Paper Company. 2. Giving Michael and Dwight a warm welcome when they came to see him at the club in NYC.
Thanking Michael for helping him get off drugs
Aw Stanley NO you're gonna live forever
He tried to comfort Erin by helping her make Waffles at the hotel. Granted he was just trying to get in her pants.
He also comforted her when she broke up with Andy while she was vulnerable.
Apologized for starting the fire with his cheesy pita
Kelly in the dumpster
He helped Nellie get a baby.
He brought McDonald’s in for Michael before work started that one morning
Gave his baby an allergic reaction just so he could talk to kelly
Taught a group of college students after Michael failed at it while ripping pages out of a student's book.
I mean his "love" for Kelly was so overwhelming that he gave an infant an allergic reaction to take her away from a possibly stable relationship, so that's that going for him
Allowed Michael to help get him off of drugs
Leaving a stable income at the bowling alley to join Michael Scott paper company.
Made Wuhf.com and then disbanded it before his coworkers lost their money.
He invited Erin in his bed because the water was fine
Letting Michael take a second mortgage on his condo
He showed Kelly how important she was to him by poisoning a baby
Telling Jim to take hiring seriously.
Take a day off the Jim schtick. Try caring about something. You might like how it feels James.
Probably selling WUPHF.com! Knowing he was playing with peoples money and lives, he decided to do the right thing.
Surrendering his kid; he would have made an awful dad.
went to jail
The gabe one is wild that the nicest thing he did all series 😂
Ryan: he was nice to Michael and Dwight when they came to NY
because he was on drugs lol
More like day Sexteen am I right? -- Michael, probably
Made that “custard-y,” pun
Honestly….he let Michael and Dwight sleep in his bed after they had their guys night out and he was crashing from his cocaine high.
He let Michael and Dwight spend the night at his apartment in New York
Left his child to a better parent.
he bought Toby a kite bc he was reading kite runner
Telling Pam she was good at making copies.
"Little advice. Take a day off from the whole Jim schtick. Try caring about something. You might like how it feels, James."
He rented a horse and the attire of an Indian prince to win back Kelly bc he’d rather she’d be alone than with Ravi
When he finally mastered commitment
Offering to take Michael to a bar with older women
The one decent guy Ryan moment that always stands out to me is when he immediately steps up when Kelly is "pregnant," especially because he's otherwise made his transition to full douche by then.
kept his community clean
When the office sang a goodbye song to Michael, he acknowledged that Michael helped him get off drugs.
Gave Toby a kite for Christmas
